Sooooo... I was considering taking down pd3.co since I thought it wasnt being used, but I came online, read through a few posts and clicked on a few links, and was happy to see pd3 links all over the place.

Cloudflare: ~700 unique visitors this month.

This motivated me, so I will be working on a few more projects for primedice and will release them soon.

Thanks.

P.S. Let me know if you have any ideas you want to see implemented.

Yay!

I rolled a dice that I had at home (twice). If it landed 1-3, i would roll low, and if it landed 4-6, i would roll high. It was 3 and under both times.

My personal favorite.

Its not really a theme, but a very flexible framework.

Yeah, I used to vouch for him until he took our BTC and ran with it after screwing us all over. it's a shame because he was starting to be more of a "legit" seller...

When it comes to SB cards there is no such thing as a "legit seller." Cheesy  They all talk a big game until they run because when their cards start going bad and they have already spent the money they got paid for them so they can't replace them and they disappear. (BRINER, DAN9090 to name a couple recent ones that scammed me out of a couple bucks). It's like a big ponzi scheme.  Get in early you might get lucky, get in late ... forget it.

This guy, if you read his thread, from day 1 it looks like 2/3rds of his cards have gone bad within hours or a day.  He kept replacing them but who needs the hassle of buying a cup of coffee and having them tell you your card is invalid?  Roll Eyes

The only good seller was SOPHIA26.  Over many months rarely did she ever have a problem but she "retired" from this forum.

*cough cough*

Cheesy

Lol I thought you shut down your store? Haven't seen it bumped... maybe that's why Smiley

Yeah, I shut it down.

I was just *chouging* at:

The whole matter kind of reminds me of this http://xkcd.com/927/... Smiley

you're right, but at least Electrum's new standard does not impose a dictionary Smiley

Is electrum 2 using bip32 or 39?

Im confused.

-snip-
Is there any software that does this?

Might be something for your hackathon.

Lol, you are right, but I likely wont win anything.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I build for my next Hackathon? on: February 04, 2015, 04:59:56 AM
How about the much speculated bitcoin voting system ?

YYYYEEESSSSS! This could come in handy right now with the FORK debate being presented today:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=941331.0

Maybe even allow people to "weight" their own votes based on others' votes? Okay, so that v.2

Sorry, what is this voting system?
269  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can we Vanitygem BIP32? on: February 03, 2015, 11:31:00 PM
Is there any software that does this?

No. It's kind of pointless really, it's much easier to just import one.

Huh Can we import an address into a bip32 seed? I dont think thats possible.

No you can't import it "into the seed", you can import it into the wallet itself, electrum allows this. So if you restore your wallet from seed you will lose the vanity address unless you have the wallet file.

 Sad

You could generate a vanity address yes, but only one address would be a vanity one. You would have to make a script that would generate a bip32 seed, add a nonce, grab the first couple of addresses and check if one fits the requirements for the vanity address, and if not increment the nonce and check again.

Is there any software that does this?

Hey!

Is it possible to vanitygen a BIP32 hierarchical address?
273  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Introducing Hive, a beautiful new wallet for Mac OS X on: February 03, 2015, 11:18:08 PM
Electrum 2.0 BETA is out. Can we use the seed interchangeably with Hive Web?
Hmm, I haven't played with it yet, so I don't know - I'm assuming it uses BIP32 now? If so, then probably, but it depends on what specific configuration it uses. I'll ask on our Slack.

Kk. It would be really useful if we could switch around between them.

Still dont have an open source idea that I can work on.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I build for my next Hackathon? on: February 03, 2015, 04:52:25 AM
Is this for the Texas Bitcoin Conference coming up here where the hackathon's prize is $1 million? Or, what is going on here? OP hasn't made it clear yet.

No, its for this: http://www.hshacks.com/
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Metadisk - Blockchain Based File Sharing - Powered by Storj on: February 03, 2015, 12:25:41 AM
There's still slots on the 2nd Beta List.
Can I apply?

That beta has ended months ago. You can now try MetaDisk at http://node1.metadisk.org.

Is there not a sign in option? How do we keep our account across multiple browsers.
Just a sample application for now. Will be like generating a bitcoin address. We don't like the idea of logins. It exposes privacy issues, and passwords can be brute forced.

Kk. Cant wait till the final product is finished!
278  Other / Meta / Re: Why doesnt Bitcointalk just use Discourse or NodeBB? on: February 02, 2015, 06:25:20 PM
EDIT: Updated OP to include NodeBB.

Might like to add https://codoforum.com as well...

Free. Open Source. Responsive.

Just checked it out. Looks similar to Discourse.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I build for my next Hackathon? on: February 02, 2015, 06:25:12 PM
Which company do you work for?

Or is this a hackathon among friends?

Knowing who's conducting the hackathon helps me determine what solution might be deemed most inspirational by them...

Its a high school students only hackathon done at the paypal headquarters. (Note: Paypal is not actually going to judge, it will be judged by volunteers).

Hey!

A hackathon is coming up, and I was wondering what I should build.

I want it to be something open source so that everyone can benefit from it.

Please let me know if you have some ideas you would like implemented!

Thanks.

Try the reverse of BitPay, i.e. accept FIAT and Pay in Bitcoin. It would be very handy for merchants across the globe.

That's a very great idea...  but I think it will be very difficult to make it due to the "volatility of the bitcoin price".

There is also the issue of chargebacks.
