Not at the same time. But it might be that I claimed too fast that a full rescan is done every time. On first try of this setup the master synced fully. Then one of the other wallet was started and it took a half hour of rescan. The other wallets took a bit less afterwards. Now each time I start a wallet it takes few time only so I think the problem is not really existing and I wrote too fast.

It looks like this setup works relatively fast. Multiple instances at once is not really needed for me. One at a time is sufficient.

I'm not so happy that the release process already starts since it would allow hedging for some investors.

In any case, everyone who invested bitcoins needs to contact me and provide proof in any case. In case he wants his xlc and in case he wants a refund. The reason is that the last will I have from each bitcoin investor is that he wants a refund when the ico failed because of too few investments.

So if you invested with bitcoins and want your xlc then contact me and tell me this so you can provide proof and I can give the dev a headsup regarding your wish. The same goes for if you want to have a refund.

Refund period will end august 15th. Everyone who did not decide on his wish until then and provided proof will be locked into refund and can not receive xlc anymore. He can receive refund then after providing proof.

Will the mist wallet be useable anytime soon again? When I leave it closed for a week and start it then it needs another week until it is synchronized again. Not really useable at the moment.

I do not reindex. bitcoin-qt is doing it on it's own.

I have one main qt installation with the full blockchain now. And a couple of other wallet.dat files. The other wallets are started via a shortcut with -datadir and -wallet. Though that means each wallet shares each of the other .dat files in the data-dir. Which leads to reindexing each time one of the other wallets is started.

I'm not sure what you speak about. Of course I can send refunds to any other address after the investor provided proof that an investment is his investment.

Besides that, I have to go with the last will I have from the investors. That was "I want to invest" and "I want to get refunded when minimum threshold has not been met". The last will is valid so every investment would be marked for being refunded as long as there is no proof provided that either changes the last will to "I will still invest and receive my xlc or I want my refund". Both options need a proof.

I learned it is possible to run a single bitcoin-qt dir with the -wallet option to run multiple wallets with the same block-data.

However, each time running another version it needs reindexing because the datadir contains only the different wallets but all other files are the same files for every wallet.dat.

So it would be more efficient to have a flag that allows to use a datadir for every wallet you have. And a flag to only search for the blockchain in a normal shared directory. That way every installation could have his own settings and rescan wouldn't be needed anymore. However only one wallet could access the blockchain at the same time.

In any case it would be a helpful thing.

if more than 100 blocks behind then download normally 50 blocks then prune on those. Repeat.

I just download the blockchain in pruned mode. I downloaded the unpruned blockchain some days ago. It was way faster and I notice that downloading a pruned blockchain now takes way longer. It looks like takes more cpu and it uses the harddisc more often. It isn't the swap file also and I gave bitcoin-qt 6gb RAM and 16 threads. The same setup. Antivirus is also not running.

So can it be that the pruning is constantly done and writing and reading from the harddisc in an inefficient way? The same way like it works with single blocks when it is already synchronized? If so then maybe it would make sense to make the prune work just every couple of minutes. This might save ressources then.

Well, personally I do think the coin will serve as pump and dump but not much more. If you really only started to write on a rumour then you should learn how this works on here. Don't trust random people.
