263  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Modifying a USB hub for extra power and "I did it!" showoff thread on: April 11, 2017, 02:39:11 PM
I had good luck modding cheapest hubs I could find at the time. Shelf board with all the hubs attached is available if someone is interested, make an offer, its heavy.

HEY!! I have these hubs I find they don't like to support the Compac 2 chip, any tips?

I am thinking of just getting a usb extentsion cord, ripping it open and cutting into the power wires though.
264  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is mining still profitable? on: April 10, 2017, 06:40:39 PM
Depends 100% on what you pay for power.
265  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: A741 Temperature Allow on: April 10, 2017, 06:04:45 PM
I ran my Ant miner at 65-70c for over a year.. if that puts you at easy at all..
266  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 10, 2017, 05:50:44 PM
Might try upping the voltage a bit if you want to keep running 100MHz.

AHH, okay will do.  Just odd I was getting no HW errors and it still failed? (Not sure if that is actually odd or not lol)

Do I just measure across the ASIC point that is shown on page two and add the voltages up.. ? I will mess with it tonight, like 6 hours.

I'd like to rum them at 150Mhz(maybe even 200 hehe) Shocked.  I will crank that voltage up!! MUHAHAHA.
267  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 10, 2017, 03:44:10 PM
Hum.. the 2pac stick runs well, I am having an odd issue..  No HW errors on them but they will run for hours then just randomly zombie out.. any ideas?

I turned the HZ down to 75 it seems to of helped a bit.. I have the Compac 1's and they run no problems.

272  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making your own USB Hub for mining on: March 28, 2017, 06:56:40 PM
Oh, in that case yeah I and several others have done that. Phil posted a thread a while back about hub options for 2Pacs, and I think someone in there linked to a thread AJRGale (maybe?) did about rebuilding a hub for stick miners.

I wasn't sure if you meant rebuilt an existing hub, or built a new hub from scratch. I've done the one and am working on doing the other, but wasn't sure how to answer your question accurately.

Sweet thanks!! I will have to dive through Phil's posts to see if I can find it.  I do vaguely remember that post he had pictures to I believe.
273  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making your own USB Hub for mining on: March 28, 2017, 06:36:25 PM
When you say "build" what exactly do you mean?

I was going to tear my 10 USB hub apart and run higher gage wires for power. Perhaps glue them to a wood frame or something.

This is what I was going to tear apart https://bitcoinware.net/collections/mining-accessories/products/10-port-powered-hub-usb-2-0 it can't even run 1 compact 1 .....
274  Bitcoin / Hardware / Making your own USB Hub for mining on: March 28, 2017, 03:33:23 PM
Anyone done this?  I have bought 5 different hubs.. 1 sorf of worked the rest are useless..

Anyone ever build their own USB hub before for mining?  I think I am going to try.. any tips?
