1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong calls the industry to fork Bitcoin Core on: November 05, 2015, 08:26:25 PM
XT has code which blacklists IPs. Until that is removed, it can keep sinking to where it deserves to go.

EDIT: This is another unfortunate desire of Coinbase. They have a history of rejecting accounts due to tainted Bitcoins. IMHO this destroys the fungibility property of Bitcoin. If your BTC can be rejected because it was used for undesirable activities in the past (even if you had nothing to do with those activities) then your BTC is not worth the same as other BTC. It's also a form of censorship.

THis is pretty much the end of the debate right here, nothing else matters.  The idea of blacklisting coins, go make some shitcoin.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best current cold storage method on: November 05, 2015, 06:53:40 PM
USB sticks are surprisingly resistant.
But they can fail without notice, with no hopes for practical data recovery.

If you are going to backup important stuff on them, I'd recommend at least 3.   Huh

One should have over 20 back ups of their wallets.

No questions asked.
1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 05, 2015, 04:34:20 PM
Back to 220-240 boys
1184  Economy / Speculation / You can't dead cat bounch back to a solid support line.. on: November 05, 2015, 04:18:53 PM
That's not how dead cat bounces work...... clearly the cat is not dead if it fails to break a solid support line.

If we fall back to 220-240 for another few months, BTC future is confirmed.
1185  Other / Off-topic / Re: What were you like in middle school? on: November 05, 2015, 04:16:55 PM
A super loser LOL, high school was pretty solid was a lot more popular.  College was the best by far.

Elementry/Middle school taught me.. F this passive shit you'll be bullied and pushed around, when people try to bully you, try to fight them.  Go bat shit fing crazy if they do fight you, no one wants to pick on the kid that is going to start throwing punches at your face when you bully them.
1186  Other / Off-topic / Re: Purpose of life on: November 05, 2015, 04:14:27 PM
There isn't one.. we have no more a purpose than an ant crawling around looking for food.

For the fourth damn time.. not human life.. get over your self.
1187  Other / Off-topic / Re: Purpose of life on: November 05, 2015, 03:24:51 PM
We're not put here to fumble for meaning, just live your life, have a good time and when you reach the end, make sure you have many memories to revisit, because possessions mean nothing when you're dead

I meant life in general.. from the first single cell organism all the way to us.. it seems LIFE (not humans, or this god shit... what a joke) is continue to evolve to reach immortality.  It seems to me intellegence is the steps it is taking to get there.

How useless is a wallet when that random numbers warning comes up?

TL;DR The uniqueness gathered from your browser and the mouse movements should be enough "randomness"  for a secure wallet.

If you take the about 60 bits from browser uniqueness + current date/time and 1 bit for every mouse point (each point is worth more than one bit) and the site collects at least 200 mouse points then you have more than 256 bits (the length of a Bitcoin Private Key). This is the seed for the PRNG. If the PRNG has a flaw you are at risk. This is why the site warns people to use a browser that supports getRandomValues (OS level entropy) because if you have that then the site XORs the PRNG output with the getRandomValues output to protect you from flaws in either of those random generators.

Sweet thanks for the explanation.

1199  Economy / Service Discussion / bitaddress.org running offline.. on: November 04, 2015, 09:28:38 PM
So I was running BTC on an offline computer the problem.. the random # generator thingy warning comes up so I Need a newer browers.. Both firefox and chrome need to connect to the web... IE same....

A) How useless is the wallet with out that random generator?

B) What is the best way to get a full comp of a browser that doesn't need to connect to the web to install?
