1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: It is posible to hack my wallet if i share public my bitcoin address? on: November 16, 2015, 11:18:45 PM
Thanks for the reply and i think i will generate a new public wallet addresses from my vault.
There is a selection that you can generate public and non public wallet address from coinbase vault..
Maybe this solution can save my bitcoins from hackers...

Coinbase means you are doing it online...

Do you understand what an "offline" wallet is?

1107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illuminati End Game Started --- effects on BTC on: November 16, 2015, 06:48:42 PM
Bitcoin could EASILY be re-designed so 1 ruling party has 100% control over it..

IMO this will be the method used to gain complete control of the worlds finances..

No RFD chips.. just crypto... only cryptos that are gov controlled will be legal.
1108  Other / Politics & Society / Re: to Europeans: can you please try explain to me why your countries accept Muslims on: November 16, 2015, 04:19:35 PM
This isn't racist.

It has to do with religion.

1109  Other / Off-topic / Re: comparison between SSD and HDD on: November 12, 2015, 07:53:48 PM
HDD is more durable than SSD, my laptop uses HDD and since 2011, every single GB's works without any problem.  Smiley
what is your thoughts?

Why not have both in your comp lol.  I use an SSD for my OS and put stuff I don't want to lose on the HDD, well that and like 5 usbs and external drives.. lol.

SSD is insanely faster than HDD.
fact: speed of SSD decreases as the longer usage period, the the memory block has a limited writing cycles; instead, HDD speed does not degrade as fast as SSD.

This is like saying a cheeta slows down as it gets older but a turtle always moves at the same pace.

Ya sure okay you're right, but the cheeta is always faster whats your point.

How would i make a paper wallet locally, do you mean guessing the address yourself, i can't see this working....

In general though, do people use bitaddress.org is it untrustworthy ?
i read somewhere else that bitaddress.org might be create same address.

And if you want to create a paper wallet by offline, you don't need to guess the address/private key. All you need is just download the armory wallet and create offline paper wallet.

TECHNICALLY there is a small chance any wallet creates an address that has been created before and you'd have the coins in that wallet.

The odds however are

1 in 1.16 x 10 ^ 77....

No, not quessing.

Download the web page bitaddress.org (there is a zip file link at the bottom of the front page)

Run the HTML on an offline computer.  You don't need to be connected to the web to run Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Create and encrypt the wallet on the offline computer.

PREFERABLY destroy the offline harddrive, IMO just make sure it never touches the web again.. although I am 100% for it's destruction.

THE IDEA IS not to type your passphrase on a computer connected to the web EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER.

IF YOU TYPE YOUR PASSPHRASE ON A COMPUTER CONNECTED TO THE WEB CONSIDER IT COMPRIMSED.
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing my bitcoins !! on: November 12, 2015, 07:16:38 PM
If the computer you used to run bitaddress.org was connected to the web or has connected to the web again your coins have no longer been created offline.

I would never use a web based wallet for long term storage no questions asked.

The blockchain.info coins.. are not safe, that is that simple.  The bitaddress ones.. perhaps they are.

1117  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Nov 11 to Dec 11 SIDEHACK compac stick pool club. New run. on: November 12, 2015, 04:13:02 PM
I bought 6 more sticks, a few for people at work.

I am going to host all of them but one, can he mine under spazzdlastick1  ?

The payout would be 1/30th / 2 to me and my "group? then our total shares / total shares * 12.5 BTC(at 25BTC payout) ?

So .416 BTC + shares earned btc?

Or should I get them to sign up to the forum and join the pool?  (Well the ones I am not hosting the miners for.)
1118  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Has my wallet been hacked ? on: November 12, 2015, 04:07:12 PM
It is obvious that your account have been compromised but since your available balance was 0.166 and 0.17 was transferred, do you have any balance left? or your balance is still there?

There was nothing left my in my account, it was 0.00000000 , i'm even wondeeing how it was possible for whomever transferred it.

My Account balance : 0.16
Bitcoin Sent: 0.17

Where did he/she get the extra 0.01 ? Huh
It is obvious your account have been hacked but you are quite lucky because people are willing to send some donations to your offline btc address, just create one and send them pm.

How do i create an offline bitcoin wallet ? Should i use blockchain.info website ?

You 100% should NOT use blockchain.info for an offline wallet.

DOwnload the bitcoin core or bitaddress.org to a cd.
Buy a harddrive, connect it to your computer, disconnect other harddrives, disconnect ethernet connection, no wireless ethernet adapter.
Install Operating system ,  run bitaddress.org, create encrypted wallet, burn to CD.
Turn off computer, disconnect offline harddrive, reconnect online harddrive.

You now have a 100% offline wallet.
NEVER EVER EVER let that offline harddrive connect to the web.. EVER EVER EVER EVER.

Mostly safe wallet:
Run virus scan on computer.
Download bitaddress.org on computer.
Disconnect from internet
run bitaddress.org
create wallet, encrypt wallet, save wallet.
Shutdown computer.
Turn on computer
Connect to internet.

The 2nd should be pretty good the first if you ever have serious amounts of fund IMO is a must.

Can we please update the richlist? It's stuck on Feb!

Also, when is the next halving? Do we have a countdown clock?

And is Max Keiser still a fan of sexcoin? Any activity from him about SXC?
Bueller? Anybody?...

Some coins might convince people to take these missions on.
