1164  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: November 10, 2015, 04:42:06 PM
I'm a Yank and I take no offense whatsoever to the last few comments here.  I've been following this thread for a bit, and is there anything definitive as far as whether any BTC withdrawals of significant amounts are getting through?  Has Cryptsy weighed in on this anywhere?  BitJohn does post here, right?

I've got no funds with Cryptsy right now, but I'm definitely not going to use them for anything as long as their solvency is a concern.

I doubt it is wise for cryptsy to post here so the won't.
Cryptsy is on this forum, not responding much lately cause when they do 15 trolls jump out of the word work runing the thread.
My speculation at least.

I withdrew XPM yesterday and Sexcoin today, all have gone through.

1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's finally happened CRYPTSY is insolvent on: November 10, 2015, 01:34:10 PM
Jesus H. Christ, I was ready to transfer everything out of Cryptsy and now it's a false alarm?

Yep, just leave your precious in the hands of a dude who went from building websites to operating a cryptocurrency exchanging now living in an over million-dollar home since March of this year while his clients have to jump through hoops to conduct simple withdraws, now accordingly via a tier system illegally put in place.

KYC makes me think the gov stopped by and made them do that.....
1167  Economy / Speculation / Re: NEW BUBBLE STARTED on: November 09, 2015, 08:04:50 PM
You dream 700 dollars.  if goes to 450 again will be something really strange, price are stable now

Price is stable now. The price fluctuation is quite small. This consolidation can help the price push to $700.

This is bear trap..

1172  Other / Off-topic / Magic cards on: November 09, 2015, 06:04:03 PM
Just bought a deck from http://www.abugames.com/ Smiley. They take bitcoin!!!

Was putting covers on my old cards (1995-1997) and was wondering if any sites that sell them take BTC, ah ya they do lol.

Anyone else play magic?  By chance in the Toronto/Hamilton area.

1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto and the Nobel Memorial Prize on: November 09, 2015, 04:26:20 PM
It's notable, but he/she/they have no chance of winning because it is still new. Whether or not Bitcoin has actually changed anything has yet to be seen.

It's not bitcoin it's the blockchain tech he/she/they invented that would be the reason for their victory.
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best current cold storage method on: November 09, 2015, 03:47:47 PM
Do you guys BIP38 your paper wallets?
I do. BIP38 is a important feature in paper wallets. It protects against theft of your Bitcoin and is relatively hard to crack if you use a strong one. However, you do have to remember the password. The best practice is to write it down and keep it somewhere safe.

It's not safe to write down your passphrase. Then it's like you don't even have it. I rather make and remember my passphrases as a sentence, and I add a few symbol characters. So with a password of 30+ chars it gets uncrackable in my lifetime. Which is OK Cheesy

I lost .5 BTC not writing it  down.....

it's really bad plan to do that.

Write it down in 3 pecies and put them in 3 different spots or something.. not writting it down is a great way to see them gone forever.

I love the ideas in this thread lol.
1179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top of next bubble ? Guess the top! on: November 05, 2015, 09:27:03 PM
There is no bubble to burst this time as this recent increase is solid and on permanent basis because situation is not same as it was then.Bitcoin has more adoption with some legislative moral support and recognition and large remittance market so price will be stable this time.

Is there still big holders who could cash out ?
Is there still speculators ?
Is there people who could enter in bitcoin ?

If one of these answers is YES I don't see how we could avoid volatility and a new bubble. Even mature markets like gold or real estate have their bubble too.

That doesn't mean this is one that just means there will be another one.

Once your last questoin starts happening we'll see one hell of a bubble.
