261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to coins that peeged their ICO to Ethereum? on: September 17, 2019, 01:42:04 PM
So I have been thinking about this and I want to know the opinion of people too.  Do the price of tokens who pegged to ethereum grow or dump with ethereum?  Will these tokens rise back to their ICO tags when bullish trends return?

Its hard to predict on new token when start listing in market. Many factor why the price fall or rising but i think mostly depend on the project and which exchanger start listing. If the exchangers is big like binance, it will increase confident for their investor

that's only for short term work of these tokens and it is only because they are being pumped and dumped and that this scheme is completely unpredictable. but the long term destination of all of them is completely clear. they are all headed down to zero and death. the only factor affecting that is their own uselessness. where they are listed won't change anything though.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: September 17, 2019, 12:53:48 PM
he plebs adjusted, and are waiting to buy the dip. The whale-cumulators counter-adjusted, and made their bids higher than the plebs' bids.

I believe that a catalyst for FOMO is when whale-cumulators place their bids ahead of everyone. Cool

just bids won't work for FOMO, the price itself has to rise above a certain level so that it could cause the fear in those people who are currently  waiting on the sidelines watching the market waiting for a "signal" to jump in. it is like the gunshot before a run! it fires and they all start pouring their money in. something like what happened when price went above $4200 and headed towards $5k. a big green dildo Grin
263  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance legally registered at U.S, does Bitcoin will get increase? on: September 17, 2019, 12:45:56 PM
The U.S never banned crypto. Binance had to block US residents from accessing their site because they didn't have any license to operate there.

Oh I see, my mistakes thanks anyway for correcting me sir for this. Meaning, all US residence are now free to register on binance platform.
So this is a great news to all people out there who are bitcoin and crypto believers, am I right?

maybe, but not that big a deal. there still is other similar options that the altcoin traders use. Binance is not really that great as you may think. they are just big, otherwise there isn't any difference between Binance, Bittrex, Cryptsy, MtGox, Poloniex,... they are all here to make the most amount of money as they can by doing the least amount of work. and they are all bad and insecure.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMAZON IS A THREAT ON FACEBOOK'S LIBRA on: September 16, 2019, 07:55:11 AM
the only way Amazon could become a threat to Facebook's libra is if they start their own centralized shitcoin like Libra which as far as i am aware Amazon has no plans on doing something like that any time soon. everything else as their company and their shares on stocks market is not really relevant here in my opinion specially when their token called Libra is involved.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Signing transactions in Java withough BitcoinJ on: September 16, 2019, 06:16:47 AM
you are asking for someone to review your code, and i don't think you can find anybody who is going to do that for you! all you can do is to compare your own code with another library like BitcoinJ or anything similar and try to find the mistakes that way.

in addition it would require them to be familiar with this completely random altcoin which again people aren't. for example if this is a copy of bitcoin altcoin then why does your tx contain a time field in it (=a73a7b5d)? bitcoin doesn't have that.
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bollinger: "BTCUSD is in a BB Squeeze, Awaiting confirmation of a move higher." on: September 16, 2019, 05:56:28 AM
Without even using the chart, I know that the day of the bears is gradually getting over,

gradually? i think their days ended last year on Dec 15, 2018 when price reached $3122 and they had nothing to say in this market any more from that day on. price has been constantly rising up ever since if you look at the longer term instead of daily charts with only certain periods of accumulation which could be referred to as the sideways periods. market has been officially in bull mode ever since that day.
all the subsequent drops we see are small and short term because of either corrections or some panic that are always resolved right away.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters . who caused the cryptocurrency to go down on: September 16, 2019, 05:39:25 AM
You should be talking about protecting the bounty hunters and investors not protecting the devs. You have it all wrong.

"bounty hunter" is just a fancy word for those users who are advertising a product through different methods such as signature campaigns, twitter,... they only deserve protection and sympathy if the "product" they were advertising were legit.
but when what they are advertising and help grow is a scam ICO project, then they deserve being ripped off and they do not deserve any kind of protection or even discussion in my opinion.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Raking in Price Charts on: September 15, 2019, 09:12:32 AM
in actuality they are being ranked based on how much supply they have. if you check the top coins you can see they have huge supplies: ETH has more than 110 million, XRP has 100 billion,... and so on. and all of these coins that are staying on top have huge premines too which means majority of that supply is not even in circulation. again ETH has 72% premine, XRP is 100% premined,...

so when you calculate market capitalization which is supply * price, these coins remain on top by simply having a huge supply.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If core bitcoin community moved from Bitcointalk to Reddit then.. on: September 15, 2019, 08:41:13 AM
If Bitcointalk is dead because "core bitcoin community moved from Bitcointalk to Reddit" then
who are all these people now having discussions on Bitcointalk? Asking for a friend..

It is impossible to integrate all the functionalities of Bitcointalk to Reddit, including the Merit system, Activity, Ranking.etc. Moving to Reddit means that the old users who have been around for a while will lose their seniority.  The trust system will be in shambles. So I don't think that this is ever going to happen. Individual users or small groups may boycott Bitcointalk and move to Reddit, but the majority is going to stay here.

reddit already has a more advanced "merit system" and it had it for years! it is the voting system that all topics and comments have. it is more advanced because you can both upvote and downvote any post there instead of just upvote (giving merit) and also it has the ability to sort comments based on the most upvoted.

none of this has anything to do with going to reddit instead of bitcointalk though. i don't know what OP is talking about!
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: September 14, 2019, 07:56:45 AM
all these projects that go to shit exchanges go there because they have no other choice, their project is also shitty. it is your mistake thinking otherwise.
whenever you are confused you can always compare things with bitcoin. Satoshi never paid "exchanges" to list his creation, in fact exchanges were built after bitcoin was created because of it. that is true about any legit cryptocurrency that may be created in the future. they will not need to pay any exchange (good or shitty) to list their coin, the exchanges will do it themselves.
271  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: September 14, 2019, 07:29:46 AM
Really? It's the first time I've heard about this. Is there any link to an announcement or any other thing help me for more details?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=319540.msg29578182#msg29578182
But I'm not sure that their plans are still same because this post was made long time ago. Maybe TheQuin can answer better about future plans of Freebitco.in.

that was a great idea for the future of this site, i don't know why we haven't seen anything yet. i was mostly excited about the addition of altcoins and the fact that you could easily exchange them for bitcoin ("a no-KYC shapeshift.io style exchange"), this is specially interesting because they have such ridiculously low withdrawal fees (since they batch transactions) compared to exchanges.

Anybody can create a no KYC shapeshift right away. Just hire a few coders and they'll copy/paste shapeshift's code w/o KYC for you.

The tricky part is how is freebitco.in going to avoid the power which forced shapeshift to implement KYC. If that power (FEDs, police, CIA, NSA whatever your call them) wants to find out who the owner of freebitco.in, they'll find him and those guys are pretty good at intimidating people. They gave Voorhees 2 choices:

a) Go to prison for life
b) Force KYC and keep your business.

Maybe it is going to have a chance if they come up with a decentralized app. Otherwise  I find it unrealistic.

yeah but the difference would be shapeshift has only one purpose and without it the site won't exist. but it is not true about this case. if some day there were some pressure from some governments then they could easily remove that particular feature and continue on. not to mention that it could all come down to how much that feature is being used.
for example you could do the exchange in bitsler.com too and this feature has been around for a very long time. i have never heard of any government pressuring them in any ways.

273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Forecasts on: September 14, 2019, 06:26:01 AM
Downward pressure continues at Bitcoin.
This will happen and we will go back to the 9750 band again. (On average)

in my experience at times like this bitcoin becomes completely unpredictable and predicting or even trading at this time is a futile attempt.
we have had similar situations multiple times before too. price is on the rise then it gets stuck behind an arbitrary price level (resistance) and starts its sideways move. after a couple of drops to the low of that sideways it becomes impossible to know when it will breakout.

right now we are exactly in the similar situation. you only mention downward pressure but you are missing the other pressure the "upward one" hence the term "sideways". both of these forces are there and are equal right now.
from last drop we saw how the other pressure is strong when price practically jumped back up after the drop!
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An indisputable proof that bitcoin is fake money on: September 14, 2019, 06:15:08 AM
Bitcoin is neither real nor new money but new fake money, and that's due to simple fact it cannot perform the primary function of money. Repeating the mantra of it being money won't make said  fact go away.

that's true but also repeating the mantra that "bitcoin is fake money" doesn't turn it into a fact either.
the only fact is that you are trying so hard here to bend the facts to your own will. otherwise bitcoin is real money and it is performing all the things that are expected of money. it is just new and not-yet-matured compared to the fiat system that has existed for ages!
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive $1 Billion Bitcoin Whale Transaction Makes Waves on: September 14, 2019, 06:04:27 AM
We all are inherently selfish. Seeing such a large transaction take place makes people uncomfortable because they think that these coins will be sent over to an exchange to be sold.

i disagree with this part.
large moves happen a lot of times in bitcoin, maybe not $1 billion at a time but millions are being moved regularly using bitcoin and none of these transactions have ever made anybody uncomfortable.
what makes the uncomfortable is the news sites and all these scam "whale alert" sites that are spreading FUD all over the internet talking about "dumps" and "price drops" because of such moves. in other words people don't think that way, these sites make them think that way.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: 2017 vs 2019 on: September 12, 2019, 11:50:20 AM
ETH will always be a good option after Bitcoin, having a good amount of money that you are willing to take the risk would add up to your advantage.

i don't get how some people still believe this after all this time! specially old members who should know better based on their experience.
a coin like ethereum that only thrived on hype and nothing else, has a lot of serious issues and to top it all it has an unlimited supply can not even be considered a half good investment let alone an option after bitcoin. there simply is no long term potential of growth for such a coin.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important is the name of a cryptocurrency project? on: September 12, 2019, 11:36:58 AM
as "currency" you want the name to be easy to pronounce, remember and in general you want it to be friendly all over the world so that people can easily use it without twisting their tongues! but the importance of name is not really something you should even spend that much time about. it is such a small thing. the most important thing is the project itself and whether it is really providing anything useful for the users to use it!
in short a shitty project with the best name would fail just like a shitty project with a terrible name.
278  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: September 11, 2019, 07:59:35 AM
Yeah like freerolls where it tells you that if you deposit like 1 bitcoin they will give you another 1 bitcoin but you have to wager 40 bitcoins in total to claim that 1 bitcoin which is not really horrible and you may end up with some profits (this is gambling after all, the average means you will lose but that is the average) however they aim to make sure you lose all your money as well, just giving you some money to keep you there.

these types of deposit bonuses are scams in my opinion. and they always have ridiculous rules accompanying them, i even once saw one needing KYC for you to get that bonus out on top of having to play the game X number of times. all the sites offering such bonuses have been super shady too!

luckily this site (like most decent dice sites) doesn't have silly things like this...

kyc on a gambling site is now becoming popular ever since kyc on ico's and exchanges came out  so we can assume that they are normal and will always be required with or without the bonus

nothing about a KYC on a "cryptocurrency" oriented gambling site is normal!
they are not regulated, they don't have any license and they are not working with fiat. there is absolutely no need for any of them to have KYC which is only there for when they use fiat and have to comply with silly banking and government laws.
that is why none of the popular gambling sites have it. and anyone of them that did it, has become a failure.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No project built on a open platform should have a WP longer than 3 pages. on: September 11, 2019, 07:41:34 AM
tokens don't even need a white paper since they are not doing anything whatsoever. basically all the token does could be summarized in a very short couple of sentences like this:

"a useless token created to raise funds for the creators out of thin air. investors are gambling their money when they put it in these tokens. they have different odds depending on the pumping power of the creators and market sentiment".

that's all you need to know about tokens and it is exactly the same for all of them. the rest is just advertising techniques they use to try and fool the newbies into believing what they are doing is not-gambling.
