1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple Recover? on: December 16, 2018, 08:14:14 AM
Ripple is a useless and centralized coin.

and because of that there is no actual recovery for it. all we will continue to see is pump and dumps. from time to time there will be some pumping team that picks this coin up and pours some money into its market inflating its price into a big bubble and since it has a low price the pumps can be performed easier.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will it take for another billion dollar crypto? on: December 16, 2018, 07:59:02 AM
what you are looking for is not value but it is market cap and for market cap to reach a billion you don't need a good project, you don't need value and you don't need price that much either. all you need is a fake but huge supply and a little bit of pump.
market cap being supply * price will shoot your market cap to billion easily! but it is all meaningless.
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves knock out Ethereum on: December 16, 2018, 07:49:49 AM
when you analyze a coin like this and look at its rise and falls you should not zoom in and only look at the small picture. you should always have the bigger picture in mind. considering Waves it has been like any other altcoin for the most part. it got pumped and then dumped like others. but being smaller meant it did all that in a much faster manner.
compared to Ethereum it is also a much better platform with a better potential although it still is not the best but it is considered one of the good ones out there.
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: These whales that are selling, sure are giving the little guys a chance to buy on: December 16, 2018, 07:38:12 AM
it is each individual's choice to make a decision about what they do with their own money and how they invest it. some people see opportunity in this drop and buy it and possibly enjoy the profit they will gain in long term like all those who saw the same opportunity in 2015 and bought bitcoin at $150 to $300 and some others see this as a red sign and remain in panic because of FUDs.
the whales are always the first group who buys and the newbies will always be the second group who usually buy after the rise and when it is too late.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's plan to sideline bitcoin on: December 16, 2018, 07:29:36 AM
i don't get how this is related to bitcoin! centralized currency (including fiat) is never going to have any effects on a decentralized currency such as bitcoin. in fact the design of bitcoin is in a way that it is not affected by them.
so the Chinese bank/government creating a centralized token is like them printing more fiat and will not change how people treat bitcoin. and unless they go at it with a full on ban of bitcoin nothing will change.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin SV on: December 15, 2018, 06:53:24 AM
Bitcoin SV may have grown in price within the short term, but it could easily fail in the long term if it doesn't provide the world with real uses.

fork coins can never become successful in the long run because they can not offer any real usages. it is simply due to the fact that they are mere copies of the original project which is doing everything they do in a much safer manner.
also keep in mind that they are going to be competing with a lot of altcoins that offer better usability than them.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money off cryptocurrency? on: December 15, 2018, 06:43:40 AM
only experience can help you successfully and consistently make money from cryptocurrencies. all the rest are going to be the unavoidable risks that are not serious enough to damage your long term profits. even if you lose a lot of money in one exchange hack for example.

so start by studying the market and learning more about pump and dumps of altcoins and try to figure out how you can take advantage of the manipulation and make money from it and then have long term investment in things that are worth holding like bitcoin.
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM has just rised 3$ in last 30 minutes on: December 15, 2018, 06:29:28 AM
it is a $3 rise after $1400+ drop.

and it is not even worth starting a topic about. it is a 3% rise in a market where similar pump and dump-y coins rise up 100% to 500% in a single day. by that standard you can consider ETH dead although it still isn't.
1249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bottom could be around the corner ! interesting chart ! on: December 15, 2018, 06:19:24 AM
Why are we close to bottom? what fundamentally has changed? bitcoin still can't scale for shit, ethereum scam icos have been halted, China is totally out unlike back in 2014, the altcoin market is deader than a doornail thanks to kyc gov intervention and crackdown on scammers. Why would people buy crypto right now? Nobody's falling for a fomo pump, so all I can see is down.

most of the things you said here are wrong and all of them are irrelevant to price!
for starters most investors in bitcoin has never given a shit about its scaling. most of them are in it for the money or are in it for the freedom thanks to its decentralization and lack of government involvement.
as for altcoins, ICOs and all that crap, none of them are truly dead. they are just undergoing their natural course of getting pumped and then dumped. and again nobody gives a shit about KYC not to mention that there is no KYC more than it was in 2017.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. Gold, Fiat and Altcoins (Updated: Traits of Money) on: December 15, 2018, 06:05:37 AM
Durability and Security are kind of interchangeable (assuming a "new" coin) as it depends what the development team created and who has checked the actual code.

this is one of the biggest problems with altcoins which is usually overlooked.
it is partly about code review by others but the main thing about this serious problem is lack of testing which comes from lack of usage. for example look at bitcoin, it is the most used and as a result the bugs come out faster and you can consider bitcoin today as battle hardened. but it is not true about altcoins since they are not used enough for their bugs to come out.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the direction of the cryptocurrency in the future? on: December 13, 2018, 07:18:56 AM
unfortunately cryptocurrencies have taken a wrong turn and have gotten far away from the main/initial reason why they were created starting with bitcoin. nowadays the cryptocurrencies are aiming to become pump and dumps and for speculation purposes only. in short people want them to make money and nothing more.
this way of thinking has set the development back many years and it has slowed down real adoption too. and to get back on track of innovation and real crypto-currencies we need a long time because that way of thinking is not going to go away over night.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chicken Restaurant Chain Church’s Accepts Dash in 10 Venezuelan Locations on: December 13, 2018, 07:05:46 AM
when some enthusiast starts accepting some altcoin, that doesn't mean that altcoin is actually used in the country! it just means someone was interested in that particular altcoin (most probably because they were bag holding it) that they decided to do something about it to advertise that altcoin more.

the most important question that you should be asking is how many payments does that "Chicken restaurant" processes through Dash, how many through fiat and how many through bitcoin if they accepted bitcoin.
the answer is always going to disappoint you about the altcoin because that is the reality of the world. people barely spend their bitcoin let alone their altcoin investments which they bought because they hoped for a pump!
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cheapest Altcoin. on: December 13, 2018, 06:54:35 AM
being cheap is not based on price it is based on price AND value or compared to its value. for example if value of bitcoin is $6000 and someone is selling it at $3000 then it means bitcoin is cheap at the moment but if the value of bitcoin is $6000 and someone is selling it at $10000 and it has fallen from $20000 it does NOT mean it is cheap it still means it is overvalued.

that is the case with most altcoins. they have no usage and the bag holders are leaving so the current prices are still not considered cheap.
1254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas and the year end holidays on: December 13, 2018, 06:45:56 AM
like December 2017, big sales for holidays and Christmas are one of the factors that make BTC fall.

i don't think you want to say what you are saying! "like December 2017" means price is going to shoot up from ~$8k to $20k? because that is what happened last year by the end of the year during Christmas time.

in my opinion, this December will have the same cycle with December 2017, so that BTC will fall again to $ 1500.

why? and how did you come up with that number? do you think bitcoin is some pump and dump shitcoin that gets pumped from $1000 to $20000 and then dumped back down to its initial value? because that is what bitcoin is going to be  considered if we reach that low a price!
1255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF on: December 13, 2018, 06:36:24 AM
Bitcoin ETF could bring legal recognition on bitcoin by governments. In this manner, this might boost the confidence and trust of bitcoin holders. As this happens, price of bitcoin is expected to rise. However, there is also disadvantage of ETF such as third party is involved here.

bitcoin doesn't need government approval and in fact bitcoin was created so that it doesn't require it! so if any investor is encouraged more to invest in bitcoin because the government approved of it then it shows that these people have not understood what bitcoin is and we do not want that kind of investor in bitcoin market because they do not care about things that bitcoin offer, what they care about is money so they will try pump and dumping bitcoin with their hype-fud cycles and that is not good for bitcoin at all.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The BIGGEST Thing Happening In Crypto, Nobody Is Talking About This? on: December 13, 2018, 06:26:59 AM
i honestly don't understand why you think this news is of any significance and what it has anything to do with bitcoin price and it s bull runs! so my first guess is that i am not alone in this, others are finding it irrelevant.
as for the video it seems like a lazy attempt to increase its views and it has nothing worth wasting time on watching it in my opinion.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: anybody know anything about this new supper secret Swiss crypto? on: December 11, 2018, 06:24:22 AM
LOL. you don't need to be a "genius economists" to create a cryptocurrency! you need to be an expert in cryptography and be extremely experienced in blockchain technology to be able to create a cryptocurrency that matters and is not just a shitcoin for pump and dumps and on top of all that you need to have an innovative idea not just copy the same POS crap which is the worst algorithm and has been around for a long time without being useful.
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ico meant for new coins or blockchain related projects only on: December 11, 2018, 06:16:54 AM
the word ICO comes from the word IPO which is Initial public offering where the company in stock market starts selling its share initially on the market. the difference is that the company doing IPO is an actual company that is legit, registered and has employees and everything! in an ICO it is done by some kid trying to make some money by scamming people and all you need is minimal programming knowledge to copy paste some code. and it has only been used for raising funds. everything else (gaming , gambling , ecommerce , exchange,...) are just an excuse to make it look legit.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Ether? on: December 11, 2018, 06:04:00 AM
Ether has dropped to $ 90. Should I buy more under the prospect of growth or look at other competitors? I'm interested in your opinion, which of the Altcoins dedicated to smart contracts is the most promising?

Probably still eth. Remember that they are the pioneered of smart contract and if your reading some news on it. They will launch now the Constantinople upgrade which is estimated to launch on January 16, 2018. I'm not sure if this news is a good one but from what I heard and see, I think they will start a new path especially on serenity update that includes POS shifting plan.

this is a common mistake that people make thinking that if someone is the first then it must be the best too. but that is not true at all. it just happens that bitcoin was the first and the best at the same time to be a decentralized currency.

as fro ethereum it was the first smart contract platform but it is the worst of them. the only thing that has kept it alive is its fake market cap and the millions of dollars spent on pumping it.
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Will Likely Fall to $1,500: Bloomberg Analyst on: December 11, 2018, 05:54:43 AM

It could. But with what cryptocurrency? Cool

Who knows) May be it isn't created yet or so unpopular we never heard about it or may be it would be Ripple

haha, keep on dreaming. Doge coin has a better chance of being it than a centralized shitcoin such as Ripple Cheesy

as for changes that you are talking about above, it is not hard at all but the problem is that the "change" needs to be actually good and not controversial with lots of downsides and security issues.
if you have a proposal we are open to hearing it! but it seems like you only have imagination.
