Yeah I could sell the blades but I would like to mine with it ;-)

PM me if you decide to sell it - one of mine is having blade trouble.......

Can anyone tell me which pci power connector corresponds to which loop? I know I've seen a picture somewhere on the forum, but can't find it  Tongue

I can't remember the last time I found an NMC block - anyone else found one lately?

Nobody?

I just received a shipping notice from UPS for delivery tomorrow for an order from 10/18; although, it is still showing Unshipped in Bitmain.    Cheesy  I still have more orders on 10/24 and 10/25.

265  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: October 28, 2015, 11:06:12 AM
Yeah - I've been using the namecoin-core client since day one, compiled from source, although there are constant updates to the client making it a race to keep up  Cheesy  Interesting that the GUI versions failed to merge mine, I'm curious as to weather this problem persists in the daemon, or is specific with p2pool?

Edit: I remember that forrestv had to make a few changes to p2pool to accommodate the new code, & am now wondering if maybe there was something we missed?

https://github.com/p2pool/p2pool/issues/270

Can anyone else report if they have found an NMC block merge mining with p2pool over the last 2 - 3 months?

Orders on 2 and 3 are done.

so if you ordered on the 21st of oct or later have you received shipping info?

I ordered on 18th Oct - & no, no shipping info.

I did however manage to finally get a response from someone at bitmain, Yoshi:

Quote
Miners are shipping this week and next week.....

..but no answer as to why batch 2 are being shipped after batch 3 or what compensation is being offered. So, it's entirely possible that I might not get my order for another 2 - 3 weeks!.

Pretty diabolical  Angry

Pre-order a SP50?

Nobody mentioned preorder. The topic is a group buy, not a group preorder.

I believe jtoomim has contacted SPT regarding a GB - I had email contact with them a while ago regarding this, but there has been no movement thus far. Maybe if you contact jtoomim & express your interest it will help get things going?  Smiley

And thank you Bitmain!  Ordered 10-16, Batch 3, shipping today via UPS, I should have it on Thursday.  Only 1 unit, but I've been hurting after selling some S5's to pay for it.

Although it's good to see that bitmain are finally getting their shipping act together, it's very frustrating/annoying that they are shipping B3 orders while many B2 orders remain neglected, mine included.

@ BitmainWarranty/BITMAIN_YHQIN:

What is the reasoning behind this?

What compensation will you be providing to delayed B2 customers?

Why is B3 taking president over B2?
270  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: October 27, 2015, 10:58:25 AM
Bad luck seems to be a problem with many pools atm, I've been reading loads of theories on pool threads as to why. Personally, I think it's just the increased diff - any thoughts anyone?

BTW, I can't remember the last time I found an NMC block - anyone else found one lately?
271  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 27, 2015, 01:59:27 AM
little birdie says . . . between 40-43K USD . . . MOQ . . . around 15 units . . . Delivery around March 2016

SP50 is on Rigwarz now. Price is: $34,495.00  (EDIT: Listed price is speculated based on vendors other products.)

 http://www.rigwarz.com/

That's a more realistic price, but I'd still like to see it lower of course.

I can't believe rigwarz actually list the Uranus......they might as well of put a pic of the tooth fairy up with it  Cheesy

Kind reminder:
When mining with S7, be sure that you've connected the internet properly and the internet is working well, otherwise, the boards may get burnt easily Sad

What!? Was this mentioned on the specs page?

Can you explain why you are shipping B3 before B2?

I would not take this seriously. This message is not from Bitmain.
They would have used proper channels, and not post a poorly written post on a forum, with an unknown username, lol!

BITMAIN_YHQIN could actually be a bitmain account. I know it could look like a fake account due to the lack of posts - but unfortunately this accurately reflects the rate of customer support on this forum.

My B2 order - still not shipped either  Sad
273  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sorry I have had enough of pcfli's hosting service. on: October 25, 2015, 03:08:55 PM
Sorry to see you are having these problems squall1066 - it's clear that you are right about lost hashing time & you are correct to bring this situation to the community's attention so that other potential members are aware of what can happen. I hope pcfli does the right thing & reimburses you fully for your losses & hassle - I'm sure you will come to a satisfactory resolution if you stick at it.

Good Luck!  Wink
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Merged Mined Coins Association MeMiCA on: October 25, 2015, 10:35:35 AM
I actually got it running nicely since posting that. I found the best option was to have it running in it's own screen session & merge mining it with a few other smaller diff coins on a smaller scale p2pool node as it struggled with my higher hash rate main node. It's been running stable with ~800Gh pointing at it for some time now. I leave the node running even when I'm not pointing any hash at it just to ensure it stays connected to the network..
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GRP] GRouPcoin on: October 25, 2015, 10:17:45 AM
I think I will have time in the next few days to do a few clean up's and fixes to the makeshift client I compiled a few months ago,
if there are any special requests I cannot guarantee I can include put please post here ...... will update if i have any progress....

The daemon runs great, very low resource usage. It would be nice if the QT wallet had it's own insignia instead of the i0coin logo - but I'm not sure I've seen a GRouPcoin logo anywhere.....?

Thanks for offering to work on this cinnamon_carter - it's very much appreciated  Smiley

I hardly ever update Bitmain gear.  It has to be a huge feature or flaw huge for me to do it.  Ever since I bricked a S3 controller I was not a fan.

I kinda turned into the mindset if it is mining good... i leave it alone.

My thoughts exactly. If anything, I've found that updating bitmain firmware actually creates more problems than it fixes, if it even fixes any at all  Tongue

I don't & never have seen Crypto as a way of making fiat - I see it as a replacement of fiat.

It's happening..

Now you are only allowed to withdraw up to $100 worth of crypto a MONTH from Cryptsy without being verified to at least a "Tier 1" in their new system. I'm glad I moved my UNO out of there early on with TWO "free" withdrawal vouchers. I will never use Cryptsy again. I could see a very rare occasion if there were 20 UNO or less sitting there for a snipe buy, but I'm not supporting this type of behavior. I do not care if the government cracks down on exchanges. That means it's time to bring on the real decentralized exchanges then. Regulation is about to overtake cryptocurrencies.

Sad times. Just over 3 years, I guess we had a good run.  Cry
Why it is a problem to be verified? I feel comfortable to be verified anywhere.

I have no problem being verified if they are willing to do the same - ie, I receive the same documents from the person/people responsible for the wallets holding my coins. A good example: There is a massive row in the UK at the moment because an ISP has just been hacked with a simple SQL injection (basics) & over 4 million users details have been stolen - for the 3rd time in 12 months  Shocked Shocked They say they don't even know if the data was encrypted or not - which means it wasn't, as some details are already on pastebin.

So, it's a security issue. If I have the details of whoever is responsible for security I can hold them accountable, whereas with probably all exchanges this is currently impossible.
280  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: October 24, 2015, 11:17:53 AM

OK - it's a little confusing, but here goes:

I inspected both downloads 1 & 3 and found that number 1 actually uses --no-submit-stale, while number 3 does not (this can be seen in the /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh file on line 69), which is where the confusion lies. So, the one to use is actually number 3 which is labelled SD-S5-20150107_cgm_4_9_0-queue_0_no-submit.tar.gz - as the "no-submit" part of the name actually means that it has been removed from the parameters & thus will submit stales.

It is also the one I uploaded here:   https://www.dropbox.com/s/gk6gva5e12g4qsr/SD-S5-20150107_cgm_4_9_0-queue_0_no-submit.tar.gz?dl=0

& igorwhite - it might be worthwhile swapping the names over to avoid any more confusion for native English speakers - or I can do an English translation for you if you like?
