2621  Economy / Economics / Re: Institutional Investors Are Using Back Door for Crypto Buys on: October 03, 2018, 04:31:13 PM
Something caught my attention more in the article and it is saying that miners have scheduled cryptocurrency sales which I think is really more concerning. Because if miners are selling their mined cryptocurrencies now then that means they don't care about at what price they are selling what they mined. Which means that even though we are still in the bear market mining cryptocurrencies is still a sustainable form of investment. It could only mean that they are still running their operations while still earning income.
2622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A simple search could save lot of money from ICO scammers on: October 03, 2018, 08:14:39 AM
Even just by going to the last page of the ANN threads of both their ICO sale and their bounty campaign you will see a lot of members warning other members that the ICO is a scam. Other members are actually helping other members not to be one of the victims by the the developers and also preventing them not to waste their time on participating in a scammer's bounty campaign that will most likely not pay. But unfortunately a lot of members (particularly the lower ranked members) are still falling into these kinds of trap as they don't wander out of the first page or even read other posts before theirs.
2623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 01, 2018, 07:22:56 PM
The warriors loss today, I think this season is the only chance for their rivals to win because they are not doing it seriously.
The Champs are playing at their home court but they did not put much effort to beat the Wolves in the 2nd half, yet still an entertaining game.
"Seriously"? What do you mean by that I have seen the game and I didn't see neither side sleeping on defense even in the final seconds of the game. Take note that Jimmy Butler didn't play for the Timberwolves during that game and they actually have played the two rookies they have. The Warriors had obviously took the lead early on but if you notice the Timberwolves clawed their way back up to take the lead. Call it whatever you like they still played like professional out their and it didn't feel like they didn't took the game seriously.
2624  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-09-29] Luxury Watchmaker Hublot Unveils New Model, Available for BTC only on: October 01, 2018, 06:43:55 PM
No official images for the watch itself, the best thing so far is the renders given by their official website, all I can say is that it will still be the same Hublot Big Bag product line watch but this one will be inspired by Bitcoin (just like how other limited ed. Big Bang watches they have). There is really nothing special about the watch for us common people but if you are either a collector or a whale or even just a rich guy wanting to buy limited edition watches this might be a good buy. You are actually buying a a piece of art commemorating BTC and its success.
2625  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★EtherGamesClub★ | BITCOIN ETHEREUM | DICE WHEEL MORE | DOUBLE FAUCET WEEKEND! on: October 01, 2018, 05:37:56 PM
Aside from what others are noticing I also see that their chat box is pretty similar to Bitsler the only difference is the color combination they are using. I mean they literally copied everything from the stars, time stamps, and even the badge of the "MOD" they straight up copied it from Bitsler. For the people working in EtherGamesClub you must know that in order for you to have some loyal customers, your gambling site must stand out from the rest and copying the U.I. designs (even their chatbox) of other gambling sites is the wrong way to do so.
2626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine a world where Bitcoin will be used as a primary payment option on: October 01, 2018, 04:17:18 PM
It does sound very innovative but i don't think this will ever happen. Bitcoin price is too unstable, it swings in too big price range to be adopted as permanent currency. Permanent currencies need to have a set value, that does not swing as much.

What sounds innovative about that? I cannot see any good benefit when the whole world switch from their respective fiat currencies to BTC as their main mode of payment, all I can see is the unnecessary expense involve in order for this kind of transition to take place. Also what you are asking for BTC to be stable is impossible, for one the government does not have the major control with it and most whales have the biggest supply for it. In anytime they can sell what they have and make an impact in the world market. BTC is not meant to become a main mode of payment and looking at it realistically it never will be.
2627  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban evasion] +200 connected accounts on: October 01, 2018, 02:28:34 PM
Does posting in Reputation gonna solve the problem with +200 alts ?
Atleast in Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q4).
According to posts there, some actions are taken in connection with alts, scammers, copy/pasters and etc?
It doesn't actually solve anything, if the accused accounts are not banned here in the forum the second best thing is they are neg trust by a DT member and even that does not solve anything if there are bounty campaigns who are still accepting members with neg trust, they will still be here posting spam in the forum. So if we really want to stop them the best thing is they will be banned by the admins which hilarious just said is not going to happen as it is an impossible task
2628  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three things not to do when Bitcoin prices are down on: September 30, 2018, 06:44:54 PM
One thing that is flawed in what he has said is simply the fact that this is not a list of things everyone will be able to do and only those who have some good knowledge on probably analyzing the charts, identifying what a bottom looks like and when to accumulate, or identifying when to be selling based on a trend changing, will obviously be able to do some of the things he has mentioned.

Until you do not have knowledge to make important decisions, I would not even advise anyone to just go with whatever that just comes to head, but should rather just focus on the long term, buy lower prices as long as they have the cash to buy and then hold for as long as they can. I am sure in 5 years from now; the market will not be the way it is currently.
You are correct, I cannot call this as a guide to someone who does not know anything about trading. This at best only serves as a reminder for people who already know what they are doing in the cryptocurrency market. To tell you frankly the guide he simply posted really is not benefiting to anyone who already know what they are doing as they will not see this post as helpful. For people who want to understand what OP is trying to say you better start learning technical analysis and the terms involve with it as you will really be left out with what he is trying to say.
2629  Economy / Economics / Re: Google is ending its sweeping ban on cryptocurrency-related advertising. on: September 30, 2018, 05:34:05 PM
Please let us not jump into conclusions here, this news won't start any price reversals as what one might think, from what I am reading Google is only loosening its ad restrictions and policies when it comes to cryptocurrency exchange related advertisement other than that the rest of the cryptocurrency related businesses are still out of the advertisement game in Google related websites. Don't get me wrong this is still a good news as they are starting to let some businesses in the game again but it is nothing compared to removing the ad restriction to the whole industry itself.
2630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: using real money to buy Bitcoin on: September 29, 2018, 08:13:55 PM
The way how you say it it seems like you are already in the cryptocurrency market why not sell some of your BTC to them instead of making this a big problem? Also the way how you talk about the family it seems like they don't have other modes of payment aside from their cash, the best way is for your to handle the transaction on your own. The most convenient and most safest way is buying BTC to a Bitcoin ATM machine where it accepts cash the only downside is Bitcoin ATMs don't give the best rates unlike the ones in localbitcoins. The only scenario I will use Localbitcoins over Bitcoin ATMs is when I will be buying large amounts of BTC as it will give me the best rates.

Note:
If your are transacting with LocalBitcoin sellers only transact with reputable sellers and do not be blinded by bigger offers as they are the most likely scammers in the website. As much as possible try to transact with them online and just deposit their money to your bank account in order for you to send it directly to the seller.
2631  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ICO Regulations in the Philippines on: September 29, 2018, 06:44:00 PM
So its going to be a win-win situation if foreign body decided to go and registered in the Philippines and established their own ICO HQ there. Similar to what Singapore (another Asian country) is doing. That's why you will see many starts-up project are now base on Singapore. Perhaps we will see one day Philippines going on that direction as well. I'm looking forward to a day wherein Filipinos will have its own Projects, bolstering the economy and the crypto air in the country so that we can attract foreign entities to choose The Philippines. It will be really awesome to see that in the future.
That is what it is intended to do, attracting foreign investors with licenses and agreements and at the same time being a friendly country to the cryptocurrency market is a perfect situation for them. It also gives them a pretty big space for movement and the good thing about this licenses is they are only limiting the competition for up 25 organizations meaning you will have 24 companies to watch and monitor compared to other countries where you are competing hundreds of them. I just hope that aside from the new foreign funds coming inside the country they will practice hiring local labor instead of hiring foreigners in order for the Philippines to benefit more.
2632  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-12] Stablecoins Gaining Popularity in India on: September 29, 2018, 05:21:53 PM
I cannot say that transferring your holdings to a stable coin is a solution to this problem, it is more like a temporary prevention for the people (customers) who don't have a more convenient way of liquidating their cryptocurrencies to fiat currency. They are only saying that this is a solution as even though there is no proper ruling/decision yet with their supreme court their customers' stock portfolio won't take a big hit while it remains idle in their exchanges. If they want to solve the real problem they need to address and provide other ways for their customers on how they can withdraw their earnings.
2633  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: September 27, 2018, 08:15:18 PM
I suggest new players to use caution when playing at FJ casino. There are complaints of nonpayment against fortunejack on other sites that they are aware of but choose to ignore.

Could you give the links to the complaints you are referring to? I just checked scam accusations board but I do not find new threads against fortunejack. Did you read it somewhere out of the forum or the nonpayment is your own issue?

He mentioned that he found the complaints outside of the forum where he mentioned that it is on "other sites". If that is the case in order for you to be convincing to other members you must provide the sources (if there are one) as it is essential for your warning as you are also accusing FortuneJack without any kind of proof. Also people here are right to notice that there are no new complaints to FJ in the scam accusation board because most of the time some mysterious person will create an account just to post in their ANN thread accusing FJ on stealing their money and then later on post their complaint in the scam accusation board.
2634  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any point in reporting spam megathreads? on: September 27, 2018, 07:23:01 PM
You can report it but you will likely get some bad reports or it will remains unhandled.

I report several spam mega threads a day. They have 100% record of either being locked or trashed. I would encourage others to do the same.
It really depends on two things, the condition of the megathread as well as the moderator who is handling it. Some megathreads out there still has a good conversation going even if they have 20+ pages but some megathreads almost contain spam and they are the ones who need to be brought down. Also the final decision whether it gets trashed or not is the moderator reviewing your report, so it still comes down on their personal assessment on the thread. You are maybe just lucky that all your reports are accepted by a mod.
2635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crime Effect of Gambling - Your thoughts! on: September 27, 2018, 06:16:10 PM
From what I know Casinos and other vices such as bars and clubs are needed to have a certain distance between them in certain establishments like schools, churches, and colleges which they are required by law to follow. So in other words most of the vices and entertainment establishments always go in a one spot where all of them can operate legally, this entertainment zones also attract unwanted people who what they are doing are illegal as because these is where the money flows and people like them most certainly are customers of this kinds of places. I don't think it is necessarily the casinos' fault but they all attract different kinds of people whether they are good or bad.
2636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sending Bitcoin to Electrum on: September 27, 2018, 05:14:13 PM
Nothing is really checking out on the information you are saying, I have checked both the wallet address and tx id you have given and none of them showed up in any block explorer I have used. Also you have given us another false information which you think that you have given us your private key carelessly, Electrum even gives warnings or reminders when you are trying to access your private key yet you just tried to post it publicly. I am starting to think that you don't know what you are talking about or worst just trolling us and wasting our time.
2637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your post history is responsible for your unmerited status. on: September 27, 2018, 01:01:53 PM
I do agree with what Coolcryptovator has said, post history plays an important role for some people in deciding whether or not that member is worthy of a merit. Some merit sources do this technique in order to see that their precious merit is not wasted on rewarding people who only has 1 good post  in every 10 of his post, they will just give their merits on to members who are posting good consistently. Also deleting some of your posts that you deemed yourself as trash won't hurt as your are just sacrificing your time in order to look good to other members, just by doing this you yourself will see how you can improve your writing and overall sentence construction as well as grammar so it is a win-win scenario for you.
2638  Economy / Economics / Re: MEGA.nz Chrome extension caught stealing passwords, cryptocurrency private keys on: September 27, 2018, 11:34:12 AM
Could it be MEGA.nz is unaware that their chrome extension is somehow compromise and that the attackers have somehow integrated the malicious software without them knowing? Because I have a strong feeling that is the case since there is no news yet the the extension is compromised on their Firefox extension, and to know that this software only goes active on certain websites tells us that the malicious software wants to remain undetected in the system for a while.
2639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: September 26, 2018, 09:06:05 PM
Lakers can't trade for AD, noone can. Who could you possible give to pelicans for AD? You HAVE TO wait for the free agency if you want to acquire him and thats too far away.

I think lakers should focus on the future and not today, I know there could be players who ditch out like randle did or even a bigger move that durant did however if they develop lonzo/hart/ingram/kuzma combo well and get some big man, that team would be amazing even after lebrons 4 year ends. Yes those players will need contracts eventually but these guys when developed properly with good trainers like drew hanlen and under lebrons wings, that team can really become a powerhouse for years.
I think Lebron has already accepted that he needs to sacrifice this season for any hopes and dreams in winning the championships. Right now what he needs to focus on doing is developing the young talent they have until this season ends. By the time the next off season begins they have one more max contract to sign a superstar and that could be anyone and the next thing is they can even trade for another one if they want too. The way I am seeing it Lebron and the Lakers will have better chances of winning a championship next year.
2640  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [09-25-2018] Google to Reverse Crypto Ad Ban for Exchanges Advertising on: September 26, 2018, 08:25:25 PM
They are introducing certification for advertisers!! This is a stupid step. What expertise does google possess to vet advertisers? And what happens if one of these turn out to be a scam? People shouldn’t start assuming that any ad shown by google is legit.
I can't see why certification is a stupid step? In fact we should be grateful that Google has added this requirement. It may look stupid but when it comes to consumer protection aka the  protection of the users of Google products, knowing that the ads being shown to you has somehow got through a screening process by means of certification I can have a peace of mind that if I buy this product or participated in its services it would be legit and it won't turn out into a scam. Before we get mad in something or even think about its unfair we must identify first what will we benefit from the said decision.
