1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 20, 2019, 09:02:31 PM
With the first three picks seems locked and secured all teams are inquiring the availability of the 4th pick which is supposed to be Darius Garland. New Orleans are more likely to give it away for anyone who will offer up the best veteran player in exchange for it. I don't know who or for what team it will be traded for but as Woj said it will be a busy draft night for the teams and fans since every pick, 4th and onwards are all made available by the teams who are not satisfied to what player is available in their turn.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2019-06-19] Senate Schedules July Hearing on Facebook’s Libra Crypto on: June 20, 2019, 08:21:48 PM
Why will Facebook and Zuckerberg be facing another senate committee again? We all know that this senators are not technologically inclined and they just got owned by Zuckerberg during their last senate hearing with him. It would be better if they just let the SEC handle all the talking instead of them making a fool out of themselves again, if not Zukerberg would just eat them alive again.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: June 20, 2019, 04:25:18 PM
Guess that would be enough information that would help us not to doubt betting on Pacman, this is just a game, we never know who will win, bet it for fun and enjoy the game, that's the recipe for success in gambling.

@mirakal it should be noted that both sides whether they  have losses on Pacquiao or Thurman they still have picked Manny Pacquiao to win the fight so you cannot really say that they are bias with their comments about the fight. Plus everyone who picked Pacman said one thing in common and that's “he still got that speed” which I don't think Thurman would like to seen in the ring. One thing they also forgot to include is that Pacman has unbelievable stamina at age 41 he still can last 12 rounds in the ring without showing signs of fatigue.
1704  Economy / Economics / Re: Decentralized Economy: What is it for? on: June 20, 2019, 03:49:05 PM
Are we heading to the creation of a decentralized economy (the one controlled by the people themselves) but still within and a part of the bigger centralized economy (the one controlled by the government)?

The question really is will the government of any country allow this to happen in the first place? You are really asking the government to give in a big power to their citizens by giving them the control of their economy and people who would take advantage of this are the top 1%, people in the middle class and below would be eaten alive by this system and we would wish that the government is the one who really needs to be in control.
1705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Facebooks's Libra cause the growth of bitcoin? on: June 20, 2019, 02:14:13 PM
Just imagine introducing the 2.2 billion users Facebook has on the crypto market by the use of Libra. Not all Facebook users are into crypto and most of them don't even know what cryptocurrency is. Once Libra is fully operational with Facebook its inevitable for its users to be introduced on to other coins as they will be exposed  with their first cryptocurrency. Just like what Bitcoin did to me which made me curious to other altcoins in the market. It feels like it's the same scenario but with a different cryptocurrency and with a bigger audience.
1706  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To all Firefox users, UPDATE your browser now before it's too late. on: June 20, 2019, 01:23:05 PM
Reports are already showing that hackers are able to exploit the bug for Remote Control Execution which makes the hacker gain control with their targeted web servers. Rumors are also telling that Coinbase might be the direct target with this kind of attack but there are still no reports of stolen fund from its users or for any websites out there yet.
1707  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Investing on cryptocurrency is too hard for others on: June 19, 2019, 09:02:22 PM

1708  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US Regulator Accuses Head of Defunct British BTC Company $147 Mil Fraud on: June 19, 2019, 08:07:07 PM
There's no questions asked that the fraud was done by Control-Finance but the problem really is will they have the money to pay for the damages for their victims? Ponzi schemes like this who are caught doesn't have any assets left to liquidate to cover all the damages, them being dissolved over a year ago in their country says that they don't have anything left to pay for anything and most likely what they would get is just jail time rather than expecting their victims to have their money back.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: June 19, 2019, 07:12:41 PM
For Pacquiao
Mikey Garcia
Shane Mosley
Victor Ortiz
Shawn Porter
Brandon Rios
Robert Garcia's Camp

For Thurman
Terrence Crawford
Robert Garcia
Adrien Broner

So far this are the only known people in the boxing industry I know who have chose who wins. Boxers like Dela Hoya, Cotto, and Golovkin evaded the question and say something like "It will be a good fight". Now with a lot of known boxers siding with Pacquiao which some of them even shared the ring against him are siding with him. I'm still wondering why the bookies have picked Pacquiao as the underdog of the match when Thurman wasn't impressive in his comeback fight.
1710  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-19]Big Four Auditing Firm PwC Releases Cryptocurrency Auditing Software on: June 19, 2019, 06:18:50 PM
PwC's software won't be directly available for normal people, as basing it from the news and what I know about financial companies they would likely offer the auditing software to other financial companies as well or directly take clients within themselves. They'll likely maintain this approach so that the software won't be reproduced in any way to the extent that people can have pirated copies from it. So for normal people like us we can't really do the auditing for ourselves but we will still go to accounting/auditing firms to do it. The only difference is their jobs just got easier to do their work for us.
1711  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: I wonder if this is the reasonable motive why Cryptopia goes bankcrupt on: June 18, 2019, 09:08:54 PM
Apparently they filed for bankruptcy in the U.S. and not on New Zealand since their data is stored in a server based in Arizona so this could be a big legal mess when they are covered by two different bankruptcy laws by thw two countries. However I do see that it's quite odd that they still have the guts to charge their custoners who are affected as well, its like they are extorting their customers where they know that their remaining balances are on the line.
1712  Other / Meta / Re: Can We have bitcointalk user interface changed to something like Facebook UI? on: June 18, 2019, 08:09:38 PM
Coming from a guy who only joined three days ago I think you aren't just comfortable with the current BCT's interface right now. If you have an idea of what a forum style website looks like Bitcointalk has one of the most organized and straightforward interface out there compared to what others have been offering. And after some time and you aren't still comfortable with BCT then you are always welcome on leaving the forum and joining one of those cryptocurrency Facebook  hype groups which has nothing close to offer what BCT have.
1713  Economy / Economics / Re: Are there any communists in this forum? Is it compatible with crypto? on: June 18, 2019, 07:12:55 PM
Why not compatile,Coomunism says about wealth distribution which might be possible with decentralized money so it is going to be perfect suit fo the communists I guess. But money is something that everyone needs so if crypto made to be a payment method the communists or athist or any other group of people will be enforced to use it.

I guess that you don't know what you are talking about, if the government has no control on where the cryptocurrency from their citizens' wallets are going then having cryptocurrencies in their country is a bad idea. That's the point of what a decentralized currency means without any kind of regulation then communist governments literally don't have any control on their citizen's money and their government system would fail. It will be the direct opposite for what that government wants to happen.
1714  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Cebuana Lhuillier] acquires stake in Kakao Talk-backed fintech company SCI on: June 18, 2019, 06:13:24 PM
Hmm, wala pang hints na crypto related nga ang gagawin ng joint venture na yan. Pero ang Kakaotalk sa pag-kaka alam ko meron na silang virtual wallet within the app parang yung WeChat ng China with WePay so baka ang integration na ito is just making Cebuana Lhuiller as an available mode for cash out. Ang Cebuana din ay partnered sa ibang remittance centers sa Pilipanas katulad ng LBC at Palawan so baka makita din natin yung mga company na ito kasama sa project nila.
1715  Economy / Reputation / Re: Waso needs flag support on: June 17, 2019, 07:46:54 PM

Matos looks like one of those religious blind followers who was put in the stage to confess how his life became better but he didn't know what to say so he just milks the moment by trying to hype the crowd. And he didn't fail by doing so, he became a meme but I'm really sad for their investors  Sad
1716  Economy / Speculation / Re: June 2019 - Bitcoin hits 10K, where next on: June 17, 2019, 06:54:04 PM
Right now BTC is only sitting around 9,270$ its next shortest resistance level is 9,350$ a breakout at this point can shoot BTC back up above aroun 9,800-9,850$. All I can say is that there is a big possibility that BTC reaching at this point before the month of June ends has a high possibility of doing so, there is no signs of it slowing down but the question here is what will happen next if BTC goes back up above in the 10,000$ level? Will the traders decide to have a break and do some profit taking at this point and expect it to correct? Or will the market decide to do some bigger push way above 10k?
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi aka Craig Wright seems goes straight to jail :D on: June 17, 2019, 06:13:50 PM
I think that's what he deserve to get when he wants all the attention on him, claiming that he is Satoshi and even going as far to obtaining a copyright on BTC's whitepaper. Now the latest news I am seeing is that the judge have granted a motion to compel to show all the BTC he has mined prior to December 31. Either he follows the court's orders or be held liable against it. Either way he has no choice but to face the attention he had wanted all the time, this is such a big prize to pay for spreading false claims. Karma really bites fast to anyone.
1718  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-15] IRS turning its attention to recreational bitcoin investors on: June 16, 2019, 09:20:24 PM
I do consider this just a friendly reminder fo their U.S. citizens planning to invest in the crypto industry as from what I recall they already have some control in wallets and exchanges like Coimbase and Binance in the country. I have read news before that the crypto exchanges do submit “random” trade transactions from their citizens as well as alert them when a certain threshold has been hit. This may look like a bad news but taxes are taxes and we do have to pay them, we might as well pay them before some crazy regulation happens.
1719  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Award Coin - Plagiarized Whitepaper/ FAKE CEO on: June 16, 2019, 07:47:50 PM
I've been looking for Award Coin's account and what it looks like to me is that he just just the campaign manager for it.

Thanks OP for revealing those scammers.

No problem, I just wished I had more time gathering up more evidence against them as its to hard to manually search one by one their whitepaper since it is on a image format but so far the active flag has 6 members who supports (including you) and none who oppose. This just tells me that what I have gathered is enough to convince most of the members. Also most of their linkedin profiles for their team members are recently created with few (fake) connections some of them don't even have profile pictures on it.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tom Schwarz vs. Tyson Fury TODAY! on: June 16, 2019, 06:27:46 PM
It's a win but surely Tyson Fury has nothing to be proud of, he literally fought a nobody even before the fight started. Tom Schwarz was a mediocre heavyweight boxer at best who have padded his resume by fighting guys we also don't know, I mean aside from Tyson Fury the name of the guys he previously fought won't even ring any bell. Like what I have said before why are top heavyweight dodging each other and fighting nobodies, they do have this contracts tied up to them and all but they are damaging their reputations for it.
