2661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asking About Riobet Casino on: January 01, 2021, 11:42:45 AM
Looks Like None of members Here are formally using this Casino ?
Maybe, because we already have Roobet, while trie Riobet, and they have not announce their site here, their reputation would be shady.

But it's Obvious that Riobet did not Find this forum as best way to advertise their Site so After the attempt on Luring players 5 years ago ,and find nothing good respond ,they Find other place and leave the forum.

So Why are we still talking this site when they don't even Open for New users ? and the Offer of free spins ends years ago ,this must not be our Main objective now in using that Site.
OP just brought Riobet, regardless of his objective, I think we are responsible enough to decide on what site to trust or not.
Heard Roobet most of the time in the forum, running lots of promotions and even art competition, this one never attempt.
2662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 25, 2020, 01:12:50 PM
If you remember the Tenshin Nasukawa exhibition fight in Japan it looks like a scripted match, just go and watch the fight and you will understand. Yes i know the fact that Tenshin Nasukawa is not a boxer and he was really young and just weighed around 128 pounds.
It really looks scripted but they are the only people that knows what's really happening inside. Any exhibition fight is prone to getting scripted as its not really a real competition, the main purpose is just to entertain the fans, so we can consider that a fight is scripted, but who would complain if they don't know.

Most will pay and watch to be entertained.

Even they'll know that a possible script has been made before the match all they care is to see this two fighter meet inside the ring.
Some still care how the outcome will be, even gamblers will use this opportunities to place their money and gamble out.

But what kind of odds they'll get from Mayweather, I mean is it really worth to take the risk with an almost no loss for Mayweather but you'll not be getting  good odds. I would be okay to bet if it's equal odds but it's not, Logan Paul has a very slim chance of winning, which makes this fight not so entertaining.

It is not entertaining not only in terms of actual performance but also in terms of gambling odds. Mayweather will definitely come out the huge favorite and Paul the huge underdog. Well, what do you expect? This is a fight between an undefeated professional boxer and a Youtuber. This is going to be around 1.01 for Mayweather and 10.00 for Logan Paul.

I used this https://www.aceodds.com/bet-calculator/odds-converter.html.. and based on this article, https://www.oddsshark.com/boxing/logan-paul-vs-floyd-mayweather-odds-betting, the odds for these two are as follows.

Quote
Floyd Mayweather Jr.   -3500
Logan Paul   +1200

So using the converter, -3500 is converted to 1.03 with 97.1% Implied Probability.  At least you still have 3% of your bet if you like to risk.

2664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 25, 2020, 09:51:04 AM
James Harden must quarantine until Friday; could play in opener

Harden wanting to go so just messing up with his team now, I thought they will do great with John Wall but it seems like Harden is not anymore as hungry as he was before with his team, so the team can't rely on him, and with this news about his violation, it will affect his bid for MVP this season which we know he is always at the top 5 or even top 3.
2665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going to be the next gem on: December 23, 2020, 11:11:58 AM
First, Bitcoin is a true gem since time immemorial and the value keeps increasing each day, and this year alone, it showed to the world its true potentials. However, there are things we need to understand and that is, Fiat or paper money will never lose its value, that is, fiat will remain with us and will be used always because it has the backing of the government. Also, everyone is still doing cash transactions and it doesn't look like it's changing anytime soon but that will not limit the growth of Bitcoin. And lastly, it will be difficult for the government to give legitimacy to Bitcoin because it's out of their control.
If bitcoin will stay decentralized, the government will never accept it as a legal currency. But that won't be enough to stop people from using bitcoin. Instead, it's utilization is even more growing due to this pandemic that limits the use of paper money. Bitcoin has always been a gem for those bitcoin enthusiasts because they know its real value and worth. It might gain mass adoption in the future but fiat will never lost its value too and will continue to be utilize by majority.
2666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 11, 2020, 01:09:46 PM
Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul is with only one goal - honey money pot.

I never bet on exhibition fights or similar events. IMO it's a pure gamble and I like to think that at least my decisions are based on some info, not only luck. Plus Paul is amateur.

When people are ready to pay, why they should refrain from conducting such fights? During this pandemic period, tens of millions are working from home and are desperate for live sporting action. Mayweather and Paul are using this opportunity to make some quick money for themselves. I agree that Paul is an amateur.. but at the same time, we can't forget the fact that Mayweather is 43 years old and well past his prime.

Yeah, but he keeps saying he is the best boxer but chooses an easy fight.
if he want a real fight, then maybe fight a boxer that is on the same level as he is, this is an easy fight for him, I wonder fans would be excited seeing this one.

Yes he believe that he is the best fighter in the world, and we can't take that away from him because he really has a good record, an undefeated record and even beat one of the best the legend Manny Pacquioa. We may not like his decision and the way he fights which some think it's boring but that's how he is, people hate him and yet they still pay to watch his fights.  Grin
2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: December 09, 2020, 08:20:46 AM
Most of the people in the world stay away from the touch of current technology. A handful of people are accustomed to using technology properly. So even though most people know about Bitcoin, they don't know about its proper use. But now as the adoption of Bitcoin is increasing in different countries, people will soon learn more about Bitcoin and its use will also increase.
Yes. Since internet is worlwide, i assumed that most of the people have heard about bitcoin already but never been aware about it's true usage and its advantages. And the fact that bitcoin is not adopted mostly in any government, then people are not force to know it and definitely its value. But with big companies that are into bitcoin right now, we will not be surprised if one day bitcoin will be a global currency as what its suppose to be use and not just as a pure investment only.
2668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heavy BTC resistance at $20k on: December 08, 2020, 07:37:14 AM
Too many people are hoping for a new price that Bitcoin will reach after 3 years of silence. I will keep Bitcoin. Because in my sense, the world is covid 19 epidemic. so Bitcoin can make a difference when the global economy goes down. Bitcoin will probably go beyond $20,000.
Despite of the pandemic we had today which made most of the countries' economy to go down, but with bitcoin market, what is happening is exactly the opposite. We had witnessed series of pumps for bitcoin and when it almost breaks the previous ATH, suddenly price correction attacks. But i'm still optimistic that after this healthy correction, bitcoin price will go straight higher than $20k. I know chances are very high, and with the positive news that always come around, no wonder we will reach new ATH this year or early next year.

2669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not Sure On Whether To Buy Crypto Or Not? on: December 08, 2020, 07:11:50 AM
Believe me without reading that article, many of us already know why we should buy crypto or increase your portfolio to the very best of your capability  Cool
Although don't just buy any crypto just for the sake of it, buy what really deserves it, or better yet, only invest in projects that really have the potential to provide service both online and offline (something that has usability)
Because with time projects with no real usage will die off because the owners will be tired of doing artificial price pump as a result of lack of real demand.

In my opinion, at this point if you long any crypto right now, regardless of the price it will be profitable for you in the future. Because there's now a supply shock between the whale's and the institutional investors. Better to accumulate as much as you can before. More big companies jumping in to the Cryptocurrency market.
And we have to accept that crypto investment is really profitable and the fact that many big companies are jumping and accumulating cryptos, the more it increases the potentiality.

@OP, we don't need to give doubts. I suggest you to study crypto first to avoid unnecessary blaming in the end if we claim that it was good and profiting but on your side is the big opposite. I want you also to encourage yourselves and have to open-up your mind.
It's best that before you start buying crypto, atleast you are aware of its benefits and consequences. But with bitcoin, you should not miss today's opportunity because even if the current price is already high, you will still make huge profits in the next few months because of big companies that continue to adopt bitcoin which makes bitcoin price too bound to increase. Not just big institutions but even the small ones too because of the high potentials that within bitcoin and will grow more once its massive adoption takes place.
2670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Values of Bitcoin & Altcoin are correlated on: December 03, 2020, 10:02:41 AM
Altcoin prices increases as much as bitcoin price does, don't know where you are looking at the prices but if you look at coinmarketcap right now, you can see that bitcoin increased 17% in the last week while ethereum had 12% and xrp had 46%!! and link had 14% and ltc had 32% so as you can see some higher and some lower but almost all altcoins went up.

This is why I think they are definitely similar, sure there were few days when bitcoin went up and altcoins didn't went up so people assumed that they were moving opposite directions but that was just few days and in reality bitcoin price and altcoin prices move together.
I also believe that altcoins and bitcoin are somehow correlated because when bitcoin price is in a surge, top altcoins are also following the same path although some low potential altcoins stay on low prices. Altcoins are greatly affected on how bitcoin moves in the market and since bitcoin today is heading to its bull run even if a normal price correction occurs, there are high chances that the next big thing will happen is the altcoins bull run. This is the reason why most of the investors today prefer to collect more altcoins so they can be very profitable once altcoins season is here.
2671  Economy / Economics / Re: More Banks maybe Closed and cryptocurrency exchangers are new way of banking on: December 02, 2020, 12:30:25 PM
I doubt it. Banks will be developed soon as we know that they're implementing online banking right now, creating an exchange will be easy for them and can easily be accepted by the government.

Banks will still exist in the future with different features that came from cryptocurrency. They will do everything so banks can't be left behind.
So I really don't think that it will be lost its existence in the future, people are good at innovating nowadays and I bet they can make a system that will be liked by their users.
I actually heard governments are making their own crypto based coins. You might want to search about them as "CDBC tokens" and that is aimed at working a little bit more controlled and centralized I believe but based on blockchain.

I am not sure how successful such ideas are going to be but it shows that even the legal departments are aware of the rise of cryptocurrencies and how they could replace and diminish the dominance of banking system as a whole.

Still think there is time for crypto to replace banking system but we are already towards a more digital age and decentralization has made it easy for everyone because there are no owners and controllers yet safe and secure.
Even if i'm a believer of crypto, but i still don't see crypto exchangers replace the banking system. Not now or even in the future. If we think that crypto developers are looking forward for its progress, how much more with those banks that have been operating for many years already? I'm sure they are also thinking on how to improve their services and might be possible that crypto will be integrated into their own system in the near future. I'm just trying to be realistic though.
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 27, 2020, 10:20:54 PM
LUOL DENG is a rich guy, he is one good example of an NBA player who knows how to manage his finances.
He is out in basketball, not a problem with him as he already have invested in different business on the money he earn through his career.
Yeah he is rich and wise guy. He spent his money from NBA wisely and a good choice to have it in businesses and real estate.

Luol Deng was not even a star player but he is wise in managing his funds, I believe he hired some fund manager to invest his money and look at him now, he is one of the richest and successful NBA players. Some would just use their money on entertainment without thinking the risk of getting injured and might not able to continue their career, NBA is not forever, hence making money in the league is not forever and they should learn how to invest the good amount of money they are earning.

2673  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is why btc will die as a crypto on: November 24, 2020, 02:36:37 PM
Bitcoin will not die just because of slow transaction processing. Maybe you just put a very lower transaction fee and you just You should learn why bitcoin was created and how long it was in crypto space until now that the value are still too high and the adoption is keep on growing.
The life of bitcoin is not just based on how fast and how expensive its transaction fees. For sure the developers of bitcoin are already working on it. The fact that bitcoin is a decentralized virtual currency, is already favorable for its users knowing they will remain anonymous unlike the traditional fiat where their real identities should be reveal. And having its high value at the present gives a positive impact on bitcoin not just as an investment but also as a global currency in the future.

"Source: Golden State’s Klay Thompson has suffered a season-ending Achilles tear."
https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1329492642896470016
Oh crap!
I was trying to understand yesterday what the tweet from Lebron James was and why Klay's name was on it.
So this is the reason behind it.
https://twitter.com/KingJames/status/1329209387899002880?s=20

This is just sad. My hopes are soaring for the GSW redemption but it will difficult without Klay.
Wiggins might become the new splash brother.

Wiggins may have the talent but he does not have eyes in the veins like Klay have.
he will surely be missed, hopefully Klay will not be frustrated and will continue to focus on his recover, we don't want to see another cousins in the making.
I agree, Wiggins doesn't have that talent, but I will remind positive that at least he will gain some knowledge from Curry and Green to elevate his talent to the next level. He is a good player, and I think he still have something in his tank to be the next big star. Just bad luck for Klay though and it's really disappointing for us fans to not see him again playing this season.
Well, he has to convert what he learn into action, and he is more needed to step up now that Thompson is already out in the next season. Warriors is a good team in general but due to injury, their chances have reduce, but if Wiggins will be able to fill the Thompson's contribution, I think they will be the same team which is hard to beat.

For a player with a good salary, https://hoopshype.com/player/andrew-wiggins/salary/, it's just right to at least show how to carry a team or help the leader of the team. High expectations for him in the coming season is expected.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: November 20, 2020, 09:36:57 AM
I think that could be a great idea to implement for normal bettors or players but since we are all in cryptocurrency industry or crypto related enthusiast we won't agree to this since the first reason we used crypto is for our privacy.
This would be more applicable in fiat as casinos as it's easy to regulate it, however, crypto online gambling is also not impossible to regulate so it's up to the government if they will issue license to crypto casinos and let the tax revenue help them recover from crises. As what we've seen, most of the licenses of crypto casinos are coming from few license provider only, what if more countries will allow it, I think it will not only help a country to grow but at the same time it will also help crypto casinos to grow.

2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 13, 2020, 02:14:48 PM
^ Don't know how it turned to be a PG topic but since we're here, he's still struggling to adjust to his role since he left Pacers. He used to be the main man especially in big games but when he moved to OKC (there's Westbrook) and then to LAC (there's Kahwi). I'm only guessing here but I think he's in the same situation where Melo was. This kinda made me appreciate D. Wade when he was able accept his role and let LBJ lead that Heat team. We all know the results after that.

There should only one leader in a team, others will just have to follow, it's a usual problem when there's 2 or 3 superstar in a team since they have played as a main man before in their previous teams, so it's hard for them to adjust, however, they need to do that in order to have a good chemistry.

It's just that there are players who really struggle adjusting, like Westbrook for instance, he paired with PG, failed, he paired with Harden, still failed and he is the reason why Durant left for GSW as they can never win a championship together.
2678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 12, 2020, 11:04:25 PM
How old is the young victim? Is he 18+
However, it had been warned several times by betting agencies to stop teenagers in Betting system, he is still a young teenager below 18 I think, so it hard to resist the pressure that comes after the loss adding to the ones he is owing, that's while is advisable to stop borrowing money to bet. These cases are meant to happen and it can't be stopped at any given point in time. Similar cases
had happened in my country uncountable times so it hard to stop this except for the fact that you keep advising younger ones to avoid betting at their tender age.
It's written in the title of the link : he was 19 year old
If you can't reach the page because the website isn't available from your country like for me, you still can read the page in text mode through the cache of google http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://cricket.yahoo.net/news/hyderabad-19-old-dies-suicide-025113659&strip=1

He is not 19 years old but 21 years old.

At the right age already but his mind is not so matured already in handing pressure so he took his life instead of facing his problems.

I hope these organizers will rot to jail, these people does not respect the law, they know it's illegal during the pandemic but they still do and unfortunately this resulted to a death of an officer. The death of an officer, it should be given justice because he is doing his job to arrest these violators, I wonder how much is the penalty, monetary and jail time, it should be lifted to a higher offense IMO.
2680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin sportsbook bonuses on: October 30, 2020, 02:26:14 AM
because as you say in a fiat sports book you can fulfil your wagering requirements with one or two bets but in the case of cryptocurrency casino this takes a very long time to the point many decide to not receive bonuses just to be able to withdraw their money with more liberty.

Crypto gambling is anonymous. An easy wagering requirement might be abused and no way the site can hunt down the user who will do that.

In fiat sportsbook, they have access to their user's identity so, in case of fraud or will take advantage of the wagering requirement, they can put it on their watchlist.

And no, you are all wrong that wagering requirement is fiat sportsbook is easy to achieve just because you saw the requirement is lower compared to crypto sportsbook.

Abusing a wagering requirement is not a serious offense, the site can put a blacklist of the name of the abusers but these people will just create a new account since we are doing it anonymously, but, they don't need to that, the site just have to improve their system and make it favorable to them all the time, in a legal way of course.
