1741  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: December 01, 2021, 08:48:19 AM
I wonder why Bitcoin price was affected by the news. If zoom went up according to your post, why not Bitcoin which would be more useful in times of crisis/uncertainty.
Bitcoin get known through information and bitcoin also been affected by information, i found out that any negative information of bitcoin alway affect the price, "why" because so many people who is cryptocurrency minded do not believe in bitcoin with 100% trust, and any information that comes negatively about bitcoin always brings fear to the market.
It's nothing new since bitcoin leads the crypto market, whatever negative news that will attack bitcoin will certainly leave a negative impact too on the whole crypto market. But that does not mean that bitcoin will stay in dump, it may suffer from price dumps but only temporarily. And with this news all about new covid variant, it will be another threat for bitcoin and with the rest of altcoins. But somehow, i know most of us are expecting that crypto won't be affected that much like we used to see in other types of investments. Who knows we might see new ATH for bitcoin just when this new variant comes out in the market.
1742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: December 01, 2021, 06:26:16 AM
Bitcoin always recover from the dip, I've been in crypto since 2017 and I also experience dip and huge correction of btc price that time when I was still a newbie in crypto I am easily get panic and sell my assets then i sometimes loss a huge amount of capital and profit. For now I am not afraid of dip because I know that Bitcoin will surely recover and now I slowly believe that btc is the future.
No matter how long the dips, bitcoin will always rebound back to its high value. Bitcoin price is definitely starting to recover now from $53k-$57k and it might be the next step will be surpassing its $60k resistance level. Although the market seems so unpredictable but when it comes to bitcoin, we already know that its value will not stay in dump, but it always bounce back again so it could reach another bullish value. Probably those who bought bitcoin when it was below $55k are already in profits today.
1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 01, 2021, 05:36:48 AM
Let's wait for the betting odds to be available as betting on the ML for Loma does not make sense unless you have huge capital.

If you are looking for attractive odds, betting on KO in a specific range of rounds would be the answer, mostly, the round ranges are per 3 rounds, you just have to make a good guess and put your money, or bet on Loma winning by decision, maybe that is higher than the 1.15 odds.

I don't chase high odds as it increases the risk of losing. I try not to take risks, so it is more important for me to increase my deposit a little than to take a risk and lose a part of my deposit in case of losing.

Calculate how much the probability of winning decreases when betting on one of the ranges of rounds and if you are satisfied with such risks, then place this bet.
Same here mate, I prefer the crowd favorite and I based it usually on my research about the probability on which fighter has more chances to win. I always do it in a safe way to prevent losses in the future, I mean yes, high odds is definitely tempting to bet but in the end of the day it will lead you to some losses. So might as well go in the safe way.
Chances on this match is Loma will win and Commey will just be a stepping stone to get Loma's revenge against Lopez. We will see it soon!
I wouldn't be so sure about Lomachenko, yes as you said Loma is indeed a crowd favorite on this one. Look at their record also, Commey's knockout rate is 27 KOs in 30 victories and is much higher than Loma's rate 11 KOs in 15 victories, and about their height and reach advantage there's some gaps into it.
Commey is also looking forward to get his revenge against Lopez, as he is also defeated in their last match. This will be a tough fight, a battle of two fighters about getting their revenge against Lopez  Grin
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 Vs 2021 on: December 01, 2021, 02:27:05 AM
This year's cycle is very different from 2017 where Crypto will experience a bull market in mid-December when the market is correcting and now it's December, maybe we can prepare funds to store assets and prepare that momentum to return and don't let us lose momentum like that in the end of this year. We can't predict all future events but we just try and hope it will happen again because right now so many investors have entered the Cryptocurrency world that this year's cycle will be very different from 2017.
Whatever the final outcome of crypto this year, either bullish or bearish by the end of this year, then we should all be prepared for it as we cannot foresee the future events correctly. I will be more glad if the crypto market will still end up having a bull run this year because its the most awaited moment for everyone of us so we can celebrate the holiday season merrily.

However, if the opposite thing will happen, i know it will saddened everyone but if we zoom it out, it will be the best opportunity to start accumulating bitcoin and altcoins with their cheap prices and by holding them for long term, we will be able to make good profits once the bull run is finally here. So this is still a win win scenario.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will a coin cost if the USA abandon the US dollar today and switch to BTC? on: November 30, 2021, 10:19:55 PM
It’s all hypothetical & clearly not going to happen any time soon but if the Us were to switch to bitcoin obviously the price would go to the roof. You’re talking about the whole world reserve currency funds being bitcoin.
What you are saying is very unrealistic and will never gonna happen today and in the future. Such centralized government would never allow a decentralized currency to replace a centralized currency because it will only be a threat for the transparency of the US government. If this is the case, US government will eventually create their own centralized digital currency because at least they can still control it than just resorting into bitcoin wherein most of the people who are secretly keeping bitcoin will eventually come out in their places and create a rally.
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 30, 2021, 03:17:05 PM
The game between GSW and Blazers ended fairly quickly with Curry tallying around 32 points with a couple of 3s. Though this is to be expected from the greatest shooter of all time, significant improvements can be seen on Wiggin's jumper as his 3-pt percentage is increasing slowly. His confidence on his shot selection and to drive to the basket is what makes him a previous no. 1 draft pick.

Yes, he is now a vital part of the GSW rotation and has gained so much confidence in the last 5 games or so. I remember when he wasn't contributing, there are talks here several pages back about him getting traded or at least some of us wanted the Warriors to get rid of him.

Someone mentioned that Curry is 44 3s away from breaking his own record of the most 3s in the history of basketball! I really have confidence that he may be able to snatch that MVP award this year, though it is too early to say. But from his performance alone, he is really dominating this season now.

That's doable and I think he can break his record this season and then put a separation from the number 2. And it's fun to see Curry, hitting those 3's because on how he shoot the ball, it was quick release and defenders don't have time to contest specially when Looney or Draymond are the one setting up the pick to free him up for a split second to shoot the threes.

As a Curry fan, it's quite overwhelming how he grew from the rookie Curry to his prime, always knew that the kid had such great potential, I'm positive that he'll be the season MVP and that is if he'll be healthy throughout the season and all the way to the playoffs, KD and Jokic are performing great as well so I don't want to see Curry get an injury, this is why Steve Kerr sits him out everytime the lead is extended at least to 20 or so because Curry is the main priority.

If Steph encounters an injury, the offense of GSW goes on as they have scorers like Wiggins, Poole, Damion Lee + did I forgot to mention that Klay will be returning this Christmas? All I can say is damn.
Steph Curry really deserve to be this years season MVP, let him have the title. Recently, he overtakes Ray Allen on All Time 3-Points List and became the title holder of the Most 3-Points Shot in History, just like that! A 33 years old talented man from the GSW brokes many record consecutively.
Hopefully, we can see Steph to play more this season with no injuries at all.
1747  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible for us to hack some gambling sites? on: November 30, 2021, 01:37:30 PM
I think it's highly possible to hack some gambling sites if you are indeed so literate in deep web or atleast have a degree in computer programming to pierce through thick walls of security measures in some sites. As I saw in the news, there are few hackers who got lucky to hack some gambling sites even government agencies and managed to reveal some dark secrets in the internet. That's why the goverment and gambling sites didn't think twice in dumping huge funds in investing security assets as a precautions to protect their system and some informations that aren't meant to be seen by people.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 30, 2021, 11:39:54 AM
^^ But it probably will slow down Donaire, he is already 39 years old and I think for most boxers, they are already in their downside of their career. And I don't think that Donaire can sustain and fight at this age. So maybe if ever he lost, he might contemplate in retiring and probably take one hard fight and then call it quits. Let the young Gaballo take over for the Filipinos and hopefully he can live up to the hype.
Well, that is if Gaballo could really take down Donaire in this upcoming match, even though Donaire is already 39yrs old, it's not a disadvantage to him because he's still capable to give such big blows if Gaballo isn't careful enough and pushing some luck against Donaire is not a smart move either.
But I know they're both training hard for this match to show their true strength, and yes MAYBE Donaire will eventually retire if he's gonna lose in this match and Gaballo will be a champion.
1749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 30, 2021, 06:45:34 AM
This thread quite somehow make me laugh Grin Ofcourse not, crypto holders or owners aren't naturally paranoid. How can you expect to take control of your investments if you're paranoid, I expect that instead you're making gains, you're actually losing.
Well on other hand, being paranoid sometimes is quite helpful because you start to question yourself that "is your wallet safe enough against potential hackers?" And in that point you make a move to settle it once and for all to update your wallets and make sure it's safe and secure while you're not checking it nor sleeping.

all their crypto owners are people who are aware of their every action, but once the transaction is done naturally sometimes they become paranoid. I think this kind of incident is natural because when the market price starts to fall, the fear of losing its assets will inevitably occur, even though some people can control it. Feelings like that can be said to be paranoid but not a mental disorder that continues to occur.
It’s a normal thing to be emotional when you see the value of your investments are falling but not to the extent of being paranoid because that is surely unacceptable. Yes, it’s a given fact that all investors should be responsible on how to secure their wallets and for me, I prefer to keep it in a cold storage rather than in exchanges because even if we say they are reputable, it cannot be avoided that hackers are still preying on that certain exchange. And if you tend to hold your coins for long term, then it will not be totally safe keeping in exchanges especially that most of them are centralized.
1750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think crypto prices will collapse further tomorrow? on: November 30, 2021, 04:57:25 AM
ups and downs are common in the crypto world. the price of bitcoin has fallen several times before bouncing back. however, for now, I don't think that bitcoin will collapse.
Of course, the decrease in price won't make Bitcoin collapse. The current decrease is normal, it is a correction after the big increase several weeks ago. In my opinion, Bitcoin price is starting to increase gradually again. Look at the price of Bitcoin today, it is increasing from $56k to $58k, there is a positive move in Bitcoin price. In the next few days, I think the price will come back above $60k again.

Yes, there is gradual move in the price of bitcoin. This could make changes in the price of altcoins. The price corrections weren't over yet, and there were more positive news to come in the falling month. Every year December there used to be some form of bullish trend. We don't know how things gonna happen this year. If there is year end growth the market will get new high time price.
Bitcoin is now showing a positive sign of price increase as it’s slowly recovering from its low price. So if this momentum will break the resistance level of $60k, then hopefully we will witness again another bullish season with a higher ATH. However, if the correction will still continue in the next months, I don’t think this will cause for bitcoin to collapse. It’s not gonna happen in the future, unless there will be a force shutdown of all internet connections which I think is very far to happen. Just keep the faith for bitcoin because we will be making huge profits when all this correction will be over.

1751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin up since after Dump? on: November 29, 2021, 06:44:58 PM
Honestly, we can't predict the exact next step for BTC or any other currency. As we all know it depends upon the market strategy, market trends, and the trend of people on buying/selling the bitcoin.
Well as of my own opinion December can prove to be a good breakdown for bitcoin due to the current trend and interest of people in BTC. Let's hope for the better and fasten your seatbelts.
Bitcoin has been more unpredictable these days and that is why most of the traders are still in doubt whether to trade bitcoin or not as the market itself is still in a correction phase. But it seems that bitcoin is slowly recovering for now so its a wise decision that we keep holding our bitcoin because there will be chances again that we will end up this year with a new ATH if bitcoin will continue to recover from its dump price. Well, its not really surprising as december is already coming and all we know about it is bitcoin reaching new ATH that will make the whole crypto market very bullish. That's how bitcoin went out in the previous years, so i'm hoping that we will still follow the same trend.
1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 29, 2021, 04:50:43 PM
Due to that, the advantage has been seen by people like Logan because there are a lot of fans that are also following these type of matches because it's fun.

Logan Paul also has a lot of fans but on his youtube channel only, currently at over 23 million, so that would already given us a picture that the fight could sell since he has millions of follows that maybe a certain percentage will at least buy the PPV or watch the fight live.

On the other hand, Mike Tyson is always a legend, everyone knows him, so this fight is like a blockbuster fight/

logan subs live count = https://socialblade.com/youtube/channel/UCG8rbF3g2AMX70yOd8vqIZg/realtime
That's why Logan Paul and Mike Tyson is very suitable for exhibition fights because they're both famous in their own field. Logan have many supporter and fans mainly on online platforms while Mike is known and famous for being the boxing legend of his time until today and have amassed many boxing fans in-favor to him. That's why boxing promoters see this fight as a real money making like Floyd vs Logan.
Indeed! These two fighters are the most fitted to have exhibition fights like this because they are known in their respective fields. Pure entertainment and very profitable match up by the promoters and both sides of the boxers.
But we all know that we can't see Mike schooling Logan Paul or giving some hard punches, no because it's for entertainment only. And I also suspect that this match will end in-favor to Mike Tyson as an honor for being a legend in this industry.
1753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Education Insurance on: November 29, 2021, 09:14:13 AM
It can be used in everything because it is our money. I remember a post before and it's like from a tournament with a prize of high cash for the 1st prize.
And you know what?
The last prize is 25 BTC and if with the calculation, 25 BTC = $50 by that time. Whoever was the last prize on that time and accepted bitcoin, hopefully, he has held that until it went $20k-$60k.
It's all about time and how we use our funds and if that person whosoever was last and still holds that btc is far better than who got first prize.See how lucky is it to be sometime not the first one also.Bitcoin has come long way and you can make use of it in any case for making more profits.
Well, if bitcoin will come into its massive adoption, then it will be expected that it will also be given as prizes in any games or competition. Not just in education itself, but in all aspects wherein finances is needed since it can be used already everywhere with a high value or amount. And in time, it can also serve as an insurance or pension funds as it will be more valuable if it will be hold for long time or once it will be properly manage by its owner. Probably, as more institutions have come to accept bitcoin, then it will be more expensive and a lot of people will surely be dreaming to have it.
1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 26, 2021, 09:51:13 PM
KO or not, I'm expecting that Casimero will certainly give his best on this fight. Maybe a quick end will give his fans good impression but as long as the fight goes clean and KO at any round, that would be fine to the other fans like me.
But for Butler, let's also give him the thought that he's also a good fighter that will also give his best shot on this fight. Well, but as a fan, we have our bias with Casimero.

Given most of us here are biased, we should expect that Casimero will be the dominant here. He's the champion here and Butler is the challenger. If no mandatory challenge is ordered by WBO, Butler won't have an opportunity to face the champion. That's where the inspiration will come from him because no need to fight other boxers as a requirement before facing the champion.

Snatching the title to Casimero will make Butler's name more popular that's why I see him as more encourage and eager to win compared to Casimero that has eyeing another target and not expected this mandatory fight. Although yes, it doesn't mean that Casimero won't prepare seriously. Of course, he is. It's not his style to look easy on every of his opponent.
Yeah, Butler is on a better situation here since he's the challenger. But as said, we're all for the win to Casimero on this match and that's all due because we want to him to continue fighting for Inoue afterwards.
Well, it's just going to be a little bit for the wait and it's all going to worth it despite the opponent for now isn't what we've been waiting for.

It's always worth seeing a fight that we know both fighters are willing to go toe to toe, knowing Casimero, that's the type of fight he wants as that's where he is more successful. Butler although not anymore a champion still has a solid record, so Casimero should consider it a big challenge in preparation for his big fight against Inoue.
1755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 26, 2021, 09:25:10 PM
Thank you @YuginKadoya, that's a good write-up and a lot of picks.

I would follow your picks on the Warriors and Suns, they are hot right now so I think they will win and cover the spread given to the underdog.
Blazers are good but their defense are weak against the Warriors, IIRC, I read that the Warriors are top 3 in defense and offense currently, so no way the Blazers would beat them especially in their home.
1756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 26, 2021, 08:01:30 PM

Most viewers have switched to MPBL and they also find it more entertaining especially if there are celebrity players who are showcasing their skills on the basketball ring. Manny Pacquiao always try his luck in all fields that he wants and he never stops until he succeeds which is really impressive.

I don't believe in that, you should show some proof to convince me.

PBA is still more popular than MPBL and I don't see MPBL is competing with PBA since the players of the PBA are way better than the MPBL players, and some PBA players are representing our countries in international competition.

Here's an article to describe the competition between PBA and MPBL.
PBA and MPBL Discuss Ways to CO-EXIST Without Unintended COMPETITION

They can co-exist without competing actually as MPBL is just new while PBA has been here for many decades, meaning the fan-based for PBA is bigger compared to MPBL, plus PBA has more media exposures as they are broadcast in one of the biggest networks in the country which is owned by one of the PBA owners.
1757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 26, 2021, 07:48:33 PM
We have an early game today: Los Angeles Clippers v Detroit Pistons. LA Clippers are a good team when we consider their current condition this season. But they haven't been very impressive lately as they lost three times in the last four weeks. But Pistons are far worse than them now. They lost 14 of their 18 games so far. They are really terrible and they will search for a way out in this game. Batum and Leonard are absent at Clippers. But I think they can still make use of Pistons' current condition and win it.
They'll win this game, LA Clippers are a good team at home, they win 8 of their 12 matches at home, so against the Piston, I don't think they will give the Piston a chance to make it a close game. Per betting line, Clippers are -11.5 to win, that's a heavy favorite there, so the chance is very high for them to win as experts are less likely to make mistakes.

edit, 62-40 is the score now in favor of the Clips. This is easy!
1758  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: November 26, 2021, 10:32:07 AM
I believe bullrun is not yet over and its possible that Bitcoin might reach another ATH again before this year end.

Although most coins are declining this past few days but currently Bitcoin and some alts recovered back again. Its still uncertain if this recovery will going to be consistent but somehow its good to know the price didnt turned down further.

Thus im optimistic the market wont be bloody this December.
I’m also hopeful that we won’t be seeing bear trap this December because bitcoin and most of the major altcoins are still in bullish despite of the recent price correction. In fact, the correction will leave a strong support level for bitcoin to reach a much higher new ATH as well as with solid altcoins before this year ends. If the market won’t permit this year, I know it will always be possible by next year. So it’s a good thing to remain optimistic this time despite of the market’s unpredictable market.
1759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fate of SHIBA Inu, is this the end of the Road? on: November 25, 2021, 10:33:12 PM
I just added a few dollars on the shiba inu and because it's only a small amount so the drop in the price is not very significant affect on my assets, this is normal when coin has pumped the price will drop even to 50%, as long shiba still have high volume trading on major exchange I'm not to worry because I'm more to long term.
Meme coins shouldn't be held for long term, they tend to go down very quickly and also the same about pumps as well, we should always look for the right opportunity to invest in meme tokens and then exit early so as to not become the one holding the bags when the coin falls to zero. Best advice would be to reap the profits as early as possible and then go to the next coin.
Right. Meme coins are only good for short term because they are not likely to last long in the market since they are only dependent on hypes. And not all the time that such coins will be hyped, unless big whales will start to do so. But if we zoom it out, its better to invest in coins that are already strong and are reputable enough in the market so that when serious correction starts to hit the market, their prices will not be totally affected and won't create huge dumps. I think the fate of Shiba is nearly to its end, unless the market starts to recover then meme coins will also likely to recover too.
1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is it to invest in Bitcoin in the current situation? on: November 25, 2021, 09:20:58 PM
Why not take it now? As for me, all the conditions for buying are now there, and growth is predicted.
If you have the faith in bitcoin, then start investing now because even if its risky, i know you will still be profitable in the long run because bitcoin will always rise up from any dumps and still end up bullish. As long as you're not here for short term profits, then start accumulating bitcoin and hold it for quite some time until your target selling price is already achieved. After all, there's no worries when you invest in bitcoin because its value will definitely follow an upward position no matter how many correction or price dumps it will encounter along.
