1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still makes you rich or end of trend? on: December 16, 2021, 09:04:31 AM
Be careful with meme coins 🤣 I lost 10k with one already because there are many whales on the project and they decide to dump on investors in a day, till date this project haven't recovered yet, meme coins are just for taking advantages you need to be real smart around them, good luck
Meme coins are said to have no great foundation so anytime, they will come to an end. And its always expected that they will not live longer in this crypto market as they have no real utility cases. And investing in them could mean very risky on the part of every investor as their value only depend much in hypes. And every time big whales like Elon decides to backed meme coins.

However, if a serious price correction hits the market like what we have right now, i do think they will only have less chances to survive. Seeing dogecoin and Shiba Inu with their present status, its like they are greatly affected by this current market correction.
1702  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy more so you can sell some on: December 16, 2021, 07:51:51 AM
Is good to buy more of bitcoin so that you can sell some to have money to celebrate Christmas and new year because there are some coin that will not pump till next year 2022. I bought more of bitcoin and few altcoin because there is a big hope that bitcoin price will still hit $70k before the end of this year 2021.
Those altcoins that is dumping gradually in the market will have a lot to deliver to investors that buy more of those coins and hold for future purpose. Solana and Dogecoin will pump massively from next year 2022 for their customers to recover from what they have loss in this season.
Yes, that is good but how if the market is still like this moment and does not increase in the Christmas or end year because there are still unpredictable to us to expect the price can increase at that time. But we still have a chance to hold bitcoin until the next year because bitcoin can increase higher in the next year so your waiting time will not be useless. All of the coins will rise at the right time and we already see the chance to buy back more coins, including buying bitcoin and many altcoins from now on. So when you can have more patients holding your coins, you will make a big profit in the future.
Well, those who are more patient in times like this are more likely the ones who will be rewarded with profits in the end. So its actually the best thing to do for now, to buy more while there is correction and hold them until the target selling price is achieved.

However, in times when the market is in red and there's no such sources of income, i think it will be better to find a stable job that will always give us a fixed amount of income no matter what the season. Or better yet engage in real life business that you think will create more demand from the people so you can maximize your profits.
1703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: December 15, 2021, 11:32:40 PM
El Salvador will be the country to set the pace for other countries to follow when it comes to cryptocurrency and blockchain. The Government of other countries is just trying to fight battles that they can never win. The people of El Salvador are very lucky, I will like to visit the Bitcoin City to experience how it will be like to carry out buying and selling with bitcoin freely in the entire city.
Well, wait until El Salvador becomes very profitable and prosperous, then by that time other countries will surely imitate what El Salvador has did. We all know that El Salvador has been facing hard times in its first months with bitcoin and anti bitcoin people has been involved in rallies that failed to drop bitcoin. But at the end of the day, they all come to be united and start to accept bitcoin as their new currency. I think if other countries will start accepting bitcoin too, bitcoin will also work on them. I guess leadership too also matters the most as we need more leaders who are pro crypto rather than being closed minded when it comes to crypto.
1704  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe good time to loan money to invest in crypto on: December 15, 2021, 09:03:47 PM
Maybe now its a good time to invest
And borrow money.
Btc goes 120,000$  if you buy now you make like over 60,000$ profit.
But dont buy just btc divide ur portfolio ...
Buy few metaverse few top coins maybe web3 and u wait ATH and you sell it.
Pay i ng back loan and u are in profit.
Next year as we all know ATH

If only things are easy to predict, we won't have any problems.

What you said will be underlying in the situation of "what if". It's a good plan but only if things will go directly the way you want. I won't contradict or stop if someone wants to make a loan to take advantage of the price dip. People themselves know their financial capability and ability to pay those loans compare to us. If you think you can handle the risks and you are well-prepared to deal with any future problems, it's your decision.

It's your money after all.
Well, the last decision will still be in your own hands. But knowing that this market is very much unpredictable, taking loans to invest is never a good idea as it will only make your life miserable paying your debt because there is not fixed month or year when you will make profits. I know this is a great time to invest in crypto but invest on your extra money that you can afford to lose. In times like this where the market is constantly dumping, the scenario just looks the same with gambling as you really don't know when to make profits, and better prepare for losses once you start panic selling.
1705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin market has been dumping so much for months on: December 15, 2021, 08:23:49 AM
I think this is a normal thing because there is a rule that says that after every strong rise there is a strong fall and vice versa, bitcoin has risen and reached new peaks so it was normal for dumping to happen, but this big dump can be explained due to some negative news such as the emergence of the mutant corona virus in South Africa and of course the whales will take advantage of such negative news and pressure the market to the fullest extent so that they can buy the largest amounts of bitcoin from the weak hands, so I see that this dump is normal and the market is now starting to recover and gradually rise.
We are still having a price correction until now and we all expect this to happen once we have passed a bullish season. Yes, this has even more visible when the new strain of covid19 has introduced to the market and leave a negative impact on the crypto market. And to think that we are also facing the holidays season, its always the trend for some hodlers to sell some of the coins they have so they can enjoy the season. All these possible reasons have caused the market to experience price decline but i know what happens to the market will be temporary.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 14, 2021, 02:42:39 PM
Although the Warriors don't have an excellent squad (only Curry for me is a high level player), the GSW is playing very well, the team has chemistry and they are winning most of the games.... Unlike the Lakers, who unfortunately , having one of the best squad in the NBA today, he is still fighting for a playoff spot, with much lower performance than expected (I only did a GSW vs Lakers comparison)

If Klay Thompson returns like he was before and have chemistry with others players, I have no doubt the Warriors could be one of the favorites for this season's NBA title.

For now, we see only Stephen Curry doing the main job which is to help the team get wins by a huge performance. In the absence of Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors have been depending on Curry nearly all the time. This is not very healthy for a team in NBA. Because if your star player gets injured, you will start having enormous problems to deal with. So I hope the rumours turn out to be true and we can see Klay Thompson starting to play officially.
If ever this season will go on with one missing in the splash brothers, Curry can't carry this team for long because it's either he'll suffer from a minor to serious injury or he will be tired and needed to rest and it's inevitable. Without Steph Curry and Klay this season, the rest or the team cannot carry on to the semi-finals. Let's just hope we can see both of the Splash brothers playing again in the court sometime soon, and if Klay will be back, hopefully he's back to normal just the way we used to see him playing.
1707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 14, 2021, 07:34:35 AM

Logan Paul was able to go the distance against Floyd Mayweather, but he was a much smaller fighter and is not known to have knockout power, but Mike Tyson was a Heavyweight king for a long period of time.

Mayweather was smaller but he was quick, he could KO Logan if he wants to. For Tyson, yes he is bigger, but not sure if he is quick enough to catch Logan Paul if Logan's strategy to keep him alive is just to run inside the ring all night. Let's just find out though as anything could happen, but since this is an exhibition fight, we better not expect so much.
Mayweather could've if it was a real challenge and not an exhibition fights, there's nothing much to expect between Logan and Mayweather because they're both pretty have a bloody clash. As we can see them fight, they're just like in sparring rounds. The audience wasn't happy about it.
About Tyson, he's not worried about either his agility or cathing Logan because if Logan is in his reach radius then that moment he can always knock him out. It seems Logan isn't preparing that much about this fight, we can see it that he's always partying. If only Logan would pay attention maybe he could atleast make this match interesting, we can really expect that this would be a circus fight, full of pose and running.
1708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 13, 2021, 04:26:34 PM
Right, I'm expecting him to play December, nevertheless if it didn't happen then we are all good.

I guess it's really up to the performance of the current roster, and since they are really looking sharp except in their last game, then Klay's return can be pushed back early next year. Of course though, the sooner we see him the better for us basketball fans.
Hopefully, we can see Klay Thompson in a good shape and state after the injury he got back in 2019 season. The current plays of the GSW is quite good with Curry carrying the team to the semis but they usually get really tired in their recent games. We still loved to see the Splash brothers in the court playing again, as Klay's role is so important to the team. Hopefully, we can see him play again as early as the 1st quarter next year.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: December 13, 2021, 12:08:17 PM
Congratulations Donaire. I've seen how that hook connected. Gaballo didn't stand anymore as he felt the effect of that strong blow that Donaire sent to him. Still, happy to see the sportsmanship of these two boxers that has the same nationality.
Yes, that left body shot hit Gaballo's body so hard that he cant stand even he still want to fight. Its just that his body cant bear fighting anymore, I feel sad for Gaballo, its his first defeat. But anyway he's still young and many opportunities might come to redeem himself.

Congrats to Nonito Donaire, once again he proved that he is a legend boxer and age is just a number.

He's not ready to retire, that's how he sends the message.

Now that Casimiro is out of the picture, Inoue vs Donaire the rematch is more likely to happen. It's Arum call if he wanted to have a hot
topic for his champ.

Congrats to all who believe that age is just a number.

Donaire proves them right, and he gives his best shot, winning this fight against his fellow Kabayan.
Until now, I'm still in shock seeing Donaire like that, it's like he is still in his prime and receving many power punches like nothing happened, I didn't saw any rusty moves in him, the agility and power of a beast is still living inside of him. It's like he's telling young Gaballo like "Not tonight man, sure I'm much more older but you have a lot more to prove to defeat me"
In just 4 rounds, Donaire made Gaballo kneel after receiving some punch in the stomach that made him lost the fight.
Much respect for Donaire, he's indeed not ready to retire yet. He really delivered a message with a blast.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 13, 2021, 10:25:25 AM
An excellent fight was shown by the fighters! Loma confidently fought the fight, he did everything so competently throughout the fight that there was no need to worry about him.

I admire Commey's resilience surviving after falling 5 rounds is very strong!

I completely agree with you about Loma being very confident in the ring, but Commey was knocked out in round 7, not 5. I'm very surprised that he was able to recover from the knockout and was able to last all 12 rounds. It was a good fight which allowed many people to increase their deposit with almost no risk.
As expected, Loma has the higher hand in this fight. Just in the 1st round, we can really see that Commey is so aggressive and always wanting to hit Loma, but Loma is calm and calculates every move and reach of Commey that's why Loma succesfully landed some combination punches in the 2nd round that almost makes Commey knocked out. After that, we can see that Commey is already trying hard to catch his breath, still I admire Commey for that, he gave his best in the fight.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 13, 2021, 08:00:02 AM
Getting a chance to fight a legend is an honor, so I think Logan Paul is very honored here as he is not a boxer but still has a chance to fight Mike Tyson. Therefore, I don't expect this like true boxing where we will see bloody boxers in the ring or one will go down hard through KO, pretty sure they have an internal arrangement already before the two will fight in the ring.

Agree with you there. Exhibition matches are not supposed to be bloodied. No seriousness but they will just like spar. Both Mike Tyson and Logan Paul obviously already have a deal and part of that is not being fully serious but just giving entertainment to the people.

That's the reason why I'm not ending up analyzing the result of the fight. All analysis can only be applied if the match is professional and real.
While you are right that there's nothing much to do and to be expected in the exhibition fights, but as for the people who paid the tickets just to watch the legendary Mike Tyson, well I think we know what they want to see, right? They didn't care if it's exhibition or not, they just want to see Mike fighting again in the ring and maybe give the younger opponent (Logan) some blast he can't forget from the legendary himself.
1712  Economy / Economics / Re: Transforming skill to profit. on: December 10, 2021, 09:29:21 PM
While this makes sense as a translator given the abundance of translation bounty opportunities on this forum, the issue is the competition and also how to build your reputation given the sheer volume of translators who have already established a name. I believe the thread's point is to highlight a skill, such as programming or something similar, that you can learn online or offline. Typically, we acquire these skills after graduating from college, and they serve as our primary weapon in securing a job that generates revenue.
There isn’t a place where it is easy. Even if you learn programming, it is not going to be easy for you to secure a job in that area. Programming is even one of the areas where there is a lot of competitions, there a are so many people with this skill and competing for jobs everywhere online, and companies are always looking for the very best that they can get and are not ready to just settle with any programmer that they can come across.

So if you keep looking at the rate of competition there is, you will end up not learning anything at all. Before learning any skill, the first that we should be asking ourselves is whether we love the particular skill that we are about to learn. If you really have passion for that skill, then you can go ahead and learn it. Always do things that you have passion, because your passion the only thing that will keep you going even at times when it is difficult.
Right. A skill without passion is useless because you can't maximize your skill if you are not totally attached in it. So if you have developed your own skill, make sure to use it more often with love and passion because that will make it more appealing to the people particularly to your clients. If they see your skills have high potentials to transform into profits, then it will also reflect on your personality as a good and expert one. If you can utilize it for the good and benefit of everyone, then i guess that will be more fulfilling in your part.
1713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never sell for a loss - is a Myth !! on: December 10, 2021, 08:51:45 PM
Things will depend on how we believe in our holdings or how we predict the next movement of it. We could base things on how we do technical analysis and on what we want to achieve based on our target goal. There's no specific price to sell and no specific time frame because we all have our different goals. Crypto investment has lots of risks and our profit would depend on how we're going to deal with every market situation.
You have said really well that everything depend on the market situation and how the market act with us .If we hold our coin for long term if it is Shitcoin it will just wash your portfolio even made 0 .I just wanna give you a example i have some Dragon coin it may be around 500 i didn't sell it on  350$ now the value of of my account are 0 .So it is clearly proved to me that if we wanna follow the strategy to hold until we get profit we definitively need to hold the top coin .Which has really a actual value forever and never wash you account and you can get a good return for sure .
Well, it's totally different hodling a shitcoin than an established coin. Even if we hodl shitcoin for years, it will always end up zero value. But for bitcoin and with main alts, no matter how often the dips are happening, as long as we intend to hodl them for long, then we will always be profitable in the end because their value have climbed in its peak. So by this time, once we sell it, we will be in huge profits and not in a loss. And i think no one would really want to sell in a loss, unless he has no other options to take.
1714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 10, 2021, 07:25:09 PM
What we think is spread all over the place. Experts know not more than us (and for sure not less). As long as we all realize we are just speculating there is nothing to stop us from achieving our intentions. So for me,,, the intention is to hodl until 100k. No matter when this happens. 2022 or 2032,,, or until I retire in still 30 years  Grin

So this 3 weeks now is nothing for me!

Nothing to say! It's you that will decide with your money. If you continue to see the downfall more likely, it's a good sign to buy more,

We don't know what fate the market will bring us before this year may end. The only hope is to see more adoption and progress,
that are the good sign for this industry in possibly bring increase to the current value.

New time high still unknown, better to keep your goal intact and forget about this market if you see some losing momentum.

I always buy the same, more or less, high price or low price,,, I cannot help it, I am totally addicted to DCA strategy so of course I am happy when prices go down (as I know I am not selling any time in the near future) and as mentioned 100k is my target.

No need to hope for more adoption and progress. This happens already if you just look at network stats. And also please do not forget to keep USING,,, Bitcoin does not magically grow. We all need to use it.
With bitcoin's price continue to dump, there's nothing we can do about it but to take an advantage of buying it with a low price. Actually, the lower the price, the better. Because we really don't know what triggers deeply the market today, i think if its only the new covid variant then  the result would only be temporary. But having a serious correction like this, although its part of the market cycle, still makes people more panic and the weak ones  are usually the most affected. So it takes more patience and understanding the current market condition before we can see a real bull season that will still be happening soon once the market has recover.
1715  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: December 10, 2021, 11:14:43 AM
The truth is that these banks are not going to be happy about that. Crypto investors and like one of the biggest customers that banks can have these days, and that's because there's a lot of money to be made from cryptocurrency investment. So, when governments instructs banks to block customers who are making use of cryptocurrencies , I don't think that they are happy doing such, and that is because they would be losing their customers. So the banks are not happy about it, and there is still nothing that they can do about it, because they work for the government and the government has the final say.

If you are living in a country where the government has decided to ban cryptocurrency, then it is up to you to be careful and know how you are going to be trading in to avoid being noticed. This is the time you have to switch to making use of decentralized exchanges, that way you wouldn't be caught.
I guess its seen in the faces of bank employees if they are happy turning down some of their customers just because they are using crypto. Of course they are not, but since banks are under the government so they are obliged to follow the rules and policies given by the government. And if any employee will try to oppose, for sure he'll be reprimand and might end up losing his job. So there's no way for banks to contradict what had the government has mandated. After all, government has always backed banks ever since.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you deal with your emotions after losing a lot of money on rug pulls? on: December 10, 2021, 10:43:01 AM

I wanna hear from you guys on how you deal with these rug pulls after losing huge amounts? Like how many days can you get back on track after being so emotional? Or what you’ve been doing in order to move on faster after you lost money on these rug pulls?
I try to be separated from my investments. It demands a great discipline and it makes me stronger when I don't have any emotions connected with money. I try not to think about losses if I have them. We should invest only such sum of money that we can afford to lose, this way, you will not be left without money needed for life. What is more, it is experience anyway, so you should take it into consideration and be more careful next time.
I think every time we decide to invest, prepare yourself for losses because that will be inevitable for the whole time you are investing. We should not always expect for profits, otherwise we'll be living in pain for sure. Because either we tried controlling it or not, emotions will always come out every time we are feeling intense. So the best way to avoid this is never invest what you can't afford to lose, and always learn from all your mistakes so you won't be repeating the same mistakes again.
1717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and it uncertainties on: December 10, 2021, 07:23:30 AM
This thread is primarily directed to discuss how traders manage trading uncertainties how do you manage to decide on your trading in a volatile market such as cryptocurrency where price can change within some seconds.

Being a traders here in this field of business industry, if your gonna use your emotions make sure you will apply it in a right manner, or else
you might loss your assets for sure in the end. It is because, being emotional while doing the actual trading is not a good things to apply believe me. This is just a tips of advice, good day.
Emotion has no place in trading because once your emotions get the best of you, it may result in a loss of trades. Trading is based on technique and not emotional so in totality, I agree with your point of view.
Well, we all have different emotions that will surely develop once we made profits or losses in crypto. And as per advice, it should not drive us into trading because if we do that, we will lost our focus on crypto market and definitely see ourselves losing in the end.  Although its inevitable on our part but controlling it is the best thing to do. And with all its trading uncertainties in crypto, we should learn to manage them smartly, otherwise we will often lose in trading and if that happens consistently, then we should start deciding if crypto trading is really for us or better quit from it to avoid a huge mess in the end.
1718  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why exactly is it that people don't like identifying yourselves (KYC)? on: December 10, 2021, 06:55:11 AM
Keeping your identity private doesnt mean you're using the platform for any illegal activities.

The main concern is the security of our personal data. What if the exchange got hacked and our information gets compromise? Thats the scenario that we dont want to happen.

Though its understandable that its part of their AML system and they just want to deal with their legitimate client, but still, if you can use the exchange without asking for KYC that would be better.
Exactly. Having to disclose your personal information into an exchange where you are not sure if its secured totally will make you more panic thinking that your personal datas might have chances to be hacked by scammers or hackers in the future. So if you can find an exchange where KYC  is not required and as long as its safe and reliable too, then that would do much better compared to a centralized exchange. Sharing your personal information  to a group or any entity will only make your portfolio more prone to scammers and that's the thing we should avoid as much as possible.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn’t KYC anti-ethical to Bitcoin? on: December 09, 2021, 11:10:18 PM
But as of recently, it is hard to purchase any crypto without encountering a form of KYC.
It is not hard. If you don't like KYC, you can trade it on DEX such as Pancakeswap or Uniswap. KYC is only required for CEX, they use KYC for security purposes. I think we cannot blame them, they have the right to apply KYC. I think they are not trying to kill the anonymity on Bitcoin, they just ensure no problems on their exchanges. By applying KYC, they fight money laundering and fraudsters.

Well, there's nothing new with all these exchanges as they always follow what the government told them. And i think they are just doing what centralized exchanges should do. And as a trader, if you want to keep your privacy, then you have all the choices you want. There are still some good exchanges who are not requiring KYC. But we can't deny the fact that maybe in the near future, we can no longer see exchanges who are not asking for KYC as most of the exchanges nowadays are becoming centralized. So better get used to it.
1720  Economy / Speculation / Re: TA shows potential bullish breakout - if history repeats on: December 09, 2021, 07:05:52 PM
The crypto market is in a bearish phase at the moment, where the price of bitcoin has continued to correct in the last few weeks due to fears of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 resulting in a massive sell-off. From a technical point of view, the possible downside for bitcoin could be more stable around the $56k level, although gains appear to be limited above $60k-$65k.
Once again I would say that Bitcoin and Covid is not correlated at all ever since from the start of lockdown. It is possible that most investors are now in a panic due to the FUD releasing left and right that's why they think it's time to dump but I think if Bitcoin reached the bottom below $50k then a possible bear is coming.

But the chart says it's just a temporary dump and looks like a bear trap to me to consider it a full time correction straight to bear run. So, I will consider this opportunity a good time to buy the dip and hodl until the market pumps back again. I'm sure most of them are waiting for the breaking of $70k resistance straight to $100k as they said.
Right. I agree with you that the current bitcoin price correction is actually still normal and reasonable despite the negative FED news. I think the current bitcoin price correction is an inevitable part of the market, but it can still be used to buy dips and holds.
Yes. Although the market seems to be bearish, but i think we are not there yet and just an inevitable price correction is what we have right now. Back to the chart, there are always chances that history might repeat itself and bitcoin will still end up reaching a new ATH before december ends. But on the other hand, it might be quite late this year as we are now close to year end but still bitcoin has always been ranging below $50k, and not even sure when will it moves up considering that bitcoin is so much unpredictable this time.
