1681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the right time to invest in cryptocurrencies? on: December 22, 2021, 08:29:12 PM
If you want to invest in BNB it is the right choice especially at this time the coin is experiencing a decline then the opportunity to choose the coin must be utilized as best as possible, and you should know with the current BSC network then a massive increase for the coin will occur in the next year, so now we have to collect as much as possible to hold the coin, and we can also choose some other potential altcoins that can be approximately profitable.
A decline? I don't think so. The coin is far from the decline and in fact, it's near to its former all-time high. But for someone who wants to invest in the right coins, BNB is one of them.
Now the question that asks about the right time, it's on the investors' mind if it's the right time to buy. Because we  all have our own factors if it's the right time or not.
I think it's always the right time to invest in such coins if you think they have the potentials to grow more and be profitable in the future. And with BNB, definitely its one of the best crypto coins so you'll never be in a wrong track with it.

Also, do not forget that bitcoin is a good buy this time as the price is not yet reaching its new ATH. Better start investing today so that once it recovers, it will always bound to reach another peak again. And we would love to make huge profits by that time if we start investing now.
1682  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice for the season. on: December 22, 2021, 07:29:44 PM
Don't bend to societal pressure of over spending during this festive season, make serious plans for the celebrations and the coming year, Don't fall into the trap or bend to the pressure of selling off a percentage of your cryptos to  spend this festive season, a new year is coming. January is usually a long month that carries along a lot of expenses, make plans and preparations now for tomorrow, spend wisely today.
Actually you do have a point, but mind you that one can't hold and hold all year long without spending, there are times when spending becomes very necessary, there are other times when you just have to spend money to celebrate the season, in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with that, as long as you're not spending above your earning/income, then there is absolutely nothing wrong. The Christmas period is a time to share/show/send love, thus if you must spend to make your loved ones happy, then go ahead with it, just spend wisely and with caution, and remember to always have plans of growing your investments in the following year.
Well, Christmas makes us more spending as it has always been the trend eversince. As long as you have separate budget for it without touching those other funds intended for your savings, i guess that will always be fine. And besides, its a once a year celebration so it's never a bad idea to spend as long as you are not overspending. Because if you do, then it's always possible that you will be struggling in your finances in the next months to come so better spend only according to your budget limit.
1683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is still in a downward trend, will it last long or temporarily? on: December 21, 2021, 09:51:30 PM
If you have money for crypto currency investment and you are certain whether it will no longer go downward I will advise that you buy now but the truth is that Bitcoin price will continue to wetness more down even till early next year (2022) before we will see any serious upward trend hopefully.
I think what we have at the moment are just all speculations since no one is capable to make a right prediction when it comes to a very unpredictable market. But i do believe that this current correction will always come to an end, and by that time a new hope for all of us will start to set in. Despite all the uncertainties we have in this crypto space, one thing will always be certain, bitcoin will always recover from all types of dumps and its price will always bound to move in an upward trend.
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: December 21, 2021, 09:06:55 PM
There are many personalities who all claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, but up to this time none of them has been able to prove this. The most famous of these alleged personalities:
Craig Wright
Dorian Nakamoto
Nick Szabo
But no one can know Satoshi's true personality, nor can it be sure yet if Satoshi is a single person or a group of people, for me I tend to believe that Satoshi is a group of people and not a single person because the system that he invented is difficult for a single person to do all this amazing feat To change the face of the economic system in the whole world.
And no one can really tell exactly if Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive or not. But knowing he's the founder of bitcoin, then his name deserves great recognition from all of us who have benefited from his early invention. This is the reason that some people intend to steal his name just for the sake of fame and recognition. But even if how many fake satoshis will come in the market and deceive the people, the truth will always prevail that no one can replace the brilliant mind of the real Satoshi Nakamoto.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 21, 2021, 07:03:15 AM
^^ Yeah, I thought that the Bulls are going to be tired of their win against the Lakers, but it looks like they still have a lot of energy, DeRozan and Ball and Vucevic again leading the Bulls.

But then again, Houston are notoriously known for having a team that comebacks from a big deficit.

So let's see if they can at least close the gap in the next 2 quarters.
Exactly! DeRozan and Vucevic are looking very lively, also Coby White has scored 24 points in the basket and I haven't expected that after their battle and won against Lakers last time. Seems like the Bulls are quite having a nice players after all, they have just took the 2nd place, overtaking the Cavs and Bucks in the Eastern Conference.
Rockets seems having a hard time catching up to the scores from the 1st until 4th quarter, Wood also is having a hard time to gain momentum.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 20, 2021, 07:24:54 PM
And who wouldn't want to see this great fight?

GGG will be tested again by a tough Japanese fighter who is a champion in his own. But covid-19 intervene again and so all we can do is really want for the Japanese government to ease their travel restrictions as this fight will not be move to any countries. And then maybe we can start to speculate again but obviously GGG is the fight favorite amongst us boxing fans.
As of now, we don't have that say to help ease the restrictions in Japan because we know that when it comes to disasters and plagues, they're one of the first countries to act and all we can do now is wait for the Japanese government to open again and resume this postponed fight so we can see how this ends.
We can almost say that Murata is viewed as a hero in Japan not just as a boxing fighter but because he's also a gold medalist on olympics 2012. This will be great for GGG, although we know that GGG has the upper hand in this match and Murata has held the title of MW since January this year.

If he is viewed as a Hero then this is a big fight in Japan and people will surely watch this big fight. I read some article that Murata is even more popular than Inoue and I didn't expect that, but with that information, I now expect that Murata will have all the pressure as he is fighting a known great fighter and a champion as well.
Really? Wow that's impressive that he's much more famous than Inoue in their country knowing that we aren't familiar about Murata. I'm thinking it's because Murata has won a gold medal in the olympics and maybe he's been getting frequent fights locally.
Now, it's much more interesting to watch these two fighters clash, is it going to be the 7 year-reigning champion (GGG) or is it the WBA Kingpin (Murata).
And I also read in an article that this upcoming fight is named as "Big Drama" so I'm quite curious what does that mean.
1687  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 20, 2021, 05:55:17 PM
^^ I do agree, he is following footsteps of Manny by going up in weight and winning belts.

Who is following Pacquiao's footsteps? Canelo? No way. He is not the type of boxer that will follow someone. He is creating his own journey and challenging on much higher division doesn't mean he is following Pacquiao's footsteps. They are also in a different league with Pacquiao.

What Canelo achieved or will achieve is his own legacy. He respects Pacquiao but does not follow him.
Maybe what he meant is that he wanted to have the same achievement as Manny does, winning multiple titles in different weights.

Manny has won 8 already as most boxing pundits put it, while Canelo is attempting his 5th in CW division but I think that's the most that he will got and could be in the company of some of the best boxers who have won 5 titles or more like Oscar or Floyd. Manny is on top though.
Pacquiao's achievements though is very hard to overcome or surpass, that man is the only one holding world title across eight different divisions while Floyd Mayweather is only holding world titles across four divisions same as Canelo, so yes this will be his 5th to attempt get another title in cruiserweight division.
Canelo's path is different as he said that he wants to unify the 5 belts in super-MW division, so that makes him a bit different to other pro boxers.
1688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 20, 2021, 04:17:57 PM
Since Jake is getting a little deeper into the sport, he better be man enough to face the real fighters in boxing.
He won't go far facing real pro boxers tbh. Even gold medalists who trained since kid often didn't go well in pro fighting, let alone for someone who started too late.
Jake's strategy works well so far with him fighting tough guys but not real pro boxers, so I think it would be best for him to keep doing what his best, to entertain people with this kind of match Grin Jake isn't that strong, but he is intelligent. He picks fights with people that he thinks he can beat.
I think that's the trend now, being insured of who they face in-order to gain a sure win, like we're watching a circus with an odds. Lol  Grin
Yeah, I also see that in Jake Paul, he's quite kind of a wise guy who only faces and accepts sure win fights and only talks below the belt if he can defeat he speaks about. And unlike his older brother, Logan Paul, is somehow the opposite with only money and fame in his mind and no sense of intelligence at all.
Jake should maintain he's status for now and fights some debut fighters who wish to carve their name in the boxing industry, he isn't going to be as succesful as other professional boxers, it's sad but it's his reality.
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 20, 2021, 07:33:36 AM
After seeing Boston Celtics' performance against Golden State Warriors, I felt like that they would win a game very soon. Because they made really big difficulties for Golden State in general. And their next game was going to be vs New York Knicks. This was a very competitive game last night and Celtics really managed to be the victor by 114-107. There was a really good team play from Celtics.

Celtics are good at home and Knicks aren't really a great team like the Warriors. They needed that win because they have been losing games especially in the road and good thing they made it although it wasn't as dominant as what we are expecting from a home team.

Tatum, Brown, and Richardson, all 3 scored over 20 points and that was great teamwork from them.

Hopefully, Richardson will give a consistent production like what he gave in the succeeding games.

I think what sets the Warriors apart from any other team is their team consistency and development. While star players of respective teams are expected to create and do some scoring, the whole bench of the Warriors also fulfill that role.

The best example that I could provide was the time Curry had an off-night. Though his FGs made/attempted were relatively bad, the bench did their respective jobs which managed them to snag the win.
Indeed, that's the best about Warriors is that even their bench players know how to play much better than any bench teams in other teams and they can for it if they wanted to but they don't need to because they're actions always better than words and they proved it many times for many seasons even with their star players resting or having some injuries.
Steve Kerr really knows how to handle his players, each players have their set of strengths and he does know when exactly to put them in the court, no need for the star players to curry the team from the 1st until the end of 4th quarter.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: December 20, 2021, 06:04:02 AM
Risk is usually accounted for in ratios.

That is, by placing one bet, you are likely to win a small amount of money.  But if you play this strategy for a long time, then sooner or later you will lose.  And the likelihood of losing will increase significantly if you accidentally place a bet on a contractual (fictitious) match.

There is an opposite strategy.  Search for the Black Swan.  That is, to place bets on outsiders.  This strategy may be more beneficial.

And contractual (fictitious) matches will bring you a win, not a loss.

My betting strategies are always designed to minimize the risks, as high risks will sooner lead to the depletion of my deposit. In addition, there are far fewer match-fixing games than honest ones. I can afford to try my luck, but in games where little depends on me, such as slots. If I have doubts about the outcome of a match, I just won't bet on that match. Luckily I don't have gambling addiction and I can wait for a match that has a minimum risk for a very long time.

Can you share some of your betting strategies which are risk free ?
I think that there is no sport betting which is risk free. No matter how much confident you're on a match, the result could still be against you.

There will always be wins and loses in your betting career. The only thing which may help to be in overall profit will be your money management skills.
Even betting constant with favorites doesnt really assure that you could really hit up wins and i dont really believe that there would really be those risk free bets because it wont be called gambling in the first place it there would be no risk at all.If thats the case on where it do really exist out then lots of gamblers would definitely be just stick around on this kind of method and making out myself get rich. People should be at least realistic and dont believe that this thing exist and you would really able
to see for yourself if you do tend to make out some bets.
Indeed, that's why it is called gambling. The gambling sites or online casinos are always on the other side hoping that you would lose that is why they're giving tempting odds that makes you want to bet to the other player to give them chances of winning. But mostly, people always go to the crowd favorites, sure it doesn't pay off as much but atleast you gained some profits from it. The greedy ones will always lose because they're seduced to that odds.
But this is not always the case because sometimes by luck or by chance the underdog wins, and those who had partake the positive odds will definitely gain serious profits.
1691  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the market going to dump like that 2018? on: December 17, 2021, 08:41:56 PM
Only red lights have been burning in the market for several days now. Many have investing and lost a lot. I have lost a lot by investing myself. I don't really understand which way the market is going or will go. What do you suggest in such a situation?
The market may drop but I don’t really think that it is going to be as much as it was in 2018. The market has passed that level now, and it has a bigger market cap than what it used to be then,. So, even if the market should go down at this point, the drop is not going to be too much like then, it will still maintain a higher price.

If you check in 2018, the market went down from around $20,000 price to below $10,000 (I think it dropped to $3000), but this time around if the market should drop, it might be stopping above $30,000 or even $40,000, and then we will be expecting it to go back up again. So even if you are losing money now, it doesn’t mean that you are going to be losing money forever, there will still come a time that the market would go up and you would recover all that you have lost in the market.
Well, you'll probably lose if you decide to sell your coins at this current corrected price but if you will be more patient and understand the market condition, then you will not be in a worst situation like weak hands do. I know as long as there is correction, we will surely observe prices declining but this will not be totally the same like we had in 2018. We are now at a higher level and with a higher market cap compared to 2018 and there are bigger institutions right now that are going to support bitcoin so its very unlikely to say that we are heading back to 2018.
1692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Two Australian exchanges collapsed recently, remember to withdraw your bitcoin on: December 17, 2021, 08:15:47 PM
Well sad to say that most centralized exchange now has been being compromised and it is prone to hacking, this reminds us that storing your coins on an exchange is not a good idea. The best thing to do after having trading is just to pull out your coin and transfer it into your non-custodial wallet which is very safe. The good thing to know that these two exchanges let their user withdraw the fund and did not turn into an exit scam which is most shady exchanges did. Do you think is this a sign that traders should use a decentralized exchange?
I guess its always good to use a decentralized exchange since its non accessible by the government but the problem is if it happens that there will be unexpected troubles in the future, you'll find it hard to trace the exchange and withdraw your coins. This is the reason why most of the exchanges we have right now are centralized so that if there will be future problems that will occur, the certain exchange will still have to contact us and inform about the current problem so we are still given chances to withdraw our cryptos. That's the  advantage of having centralized exchanges.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Arthur Beterbiev vs Marcus Browne Light Heavyweight Championship on: December 17, 2021, 06:47:40 PM
It's not that I'm underestimating Beterbiev's opponent capability but I've already seen how Beterbieve defended his title for consecutive years and I could say that he's too wild on the ring and I wasn't surprised by it since he's always determined to win. Marcus Browne should prepare well to win this tough match since his opponent is always well prepared.
Exactly, Beterbiev is a formidable fighter and I think that as you've said the title defenses that he has done these past years is a testament of how this might not be that big of a challenge for him. I've looked into his boxing record and he seem good enough because he only has 1 professional loss and it's by decision so I can assume that this fight won't end in a KO.

Yes, Marcus Recardo Browne has only 1 loss in his career and I don't understand why he is a heavy underdog despite him being the most experienced boxer. Maybe because Artur Beterbiev is a KO artist? since all his 16 wins are in way of KO and that is really scary, if he cannot KO Browne, then we might expect a win from Browne as usually a KO artist does rely on his power a lot and he'll get frustrated when he cannot KO his opponent.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what proof must one have to identify himself as Nakamoto Satoshi? on: December 17, 2021, 06:42:31 PM
Real Satoshi won't reveal his/her/their identity, especially knowing how identity-based hate could be used to harm Bitcoin reputation and possibility harmed by authoritarian government.
But that's not the point if this discussion, you didn't thought that this is all just hypothetical? Yes, you're right and you've got a point as to why Satoshi won't go public but it's not the point.

To me, I think that the only proof that Satoshi could identify himself is probably doing a signed message on his address, or logging in his forum account or logging in the Bitcointalk forum prototype (forgot the name of predecessor).
Right. If he can leave a signed message  on his address, then it may be a proof of a real Satoshi. His own bitcoin forum account has been hacked already so there's no way he can access that anymore. If he can be the real Satoshi, i think he will do such a thing that we never thought of thinking and its only him who knows that.

However, i'm not really expecting that he'll show off one of these days because its better to make him anonymous for good than to make him known and confuse the whole crypto market.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 17, 2021, 06:21:53 PM
TNT wins today against Alaska as the game push thru, That's close and Alaska really does well. They are not losing with huge margin anymore.

And if I remember it right, they won against SMB, good to see them competing with the help of their import.

Next game, the crowd's favorite Ginebra, expecting live crowd to show up and support this team.

Good luck to all fans who will add their bets in this game.
TNT has been good since the start of the game, they are very consistent and that’s why they won against Alaska. On the other hand, Ginebra won convincingly against Northport and as expected the crowd goes wild because of this. I missed to place a bet but hopefully, by next game I can see the odds now.

Congrats to TNT, they won the game and finally break Alaska's winning streak. In the last game, what a dominant performance by the Ginebra Kings. Brownlee led the game again to win by 28 points and while some local players scored a double-digit but no one score at least 20 points.
1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community means everything on: December 17, 2021, 06:12:33 PM
Community means everything in crypto space, there are many people who think that shiba coin won't enter top 10 on coinmarketcap well today we did it, now that we are in bull season I'm sure more surprises is coming, shiba is more than a meme coin do your own research before judging the project, Dogecoin that was loved by the community for few years now got flipped

Yes, the community is very important like the foundation of a house, if the community decreases it can cause the price of a coin to go down and it can even become a trash coin in the wallet. As is the case with Bitcoin, the Bitcoin community is growing over time, so the price of bitcoin from year to year often increases in price.
As the Shiba coin has recently become more popular, I think its price will rise even higher than its previous price in 2022.
Well, Shiba has become even more popular these days as its community has made a sudden grow which also influenced its own value. Although a lot had made attacks on meme coins because they have no real purpose in crypto, but still Shiba has made it on the list on CMC but that when the market was still bullish. For now, both dogecoin and Shiba are very much affected on the current correction but i have this feeling that Shiba will also bound to recover once the market will be back to normal. As long as there is good community for Shiba, then it won't fall down easily and lose its value.
1697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Hit $150,000 in 2022 on: December 16, 2021, 11:44:13 PM
This is what cryptocurrency experts think, but many feel that there is less confidence in the current market than ever before. However, this situation may change in a short period of time. My assumption is that the bitcoin price movement may not be seen in this year. It could have a bull run early next year and then we might see the price of Bitcoin go up to 100k.
Its sad to say that bitcoin is not going nowhere this time as bitcoin remains below $50k but that does not mean that bitcoin won't rise up again and settle for a new ATH. Of course it will still be possible by next year because i don't think this correction will go straight forward for the next bear season. Hopefully it won't because we are still anticipating for another bull run before that.

However, bitcoin will always move up after a long correction or after a bearish season and this time, bitcoin will have more strong support that will increase its support level and reaching above $100k will certainly happen once positive news will influence the market.
1698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some trading mistakes beginners make on: December 16, 2021, 11:33:41 PM
OP, another mistake newbies always make is, over-estimating their intelligence, and capabilities. Trading is a zero-sum game. To get money from the market, another participant must lose it. We are mere plebs, and the game is always won by professional traders.

Indeed right! Crypto is a game of win and lose and mostly, newbies are the loser due to lack of knowledge to trade with wrong perception. In trading, we should know both technical and fundamental analysis to avoid huge losses. Then while trading, it's also significant to accumulate more knowledge and strategies to become more subtle.
New trader always come when moment bitcoin or any altcoin on higher price, they take risk without research about some coin have all time high price but keep entry. I think is usually mistake made by new trader and motivate to entry on higher price because they lack knowledge about all time high price of coin. Just think with coin have higher price will give much profit and they don't know later will dump suddenly.
Right. Because they rely much on thinking that when coins have higher prices, those are the best investments that will generate higher profits. But they don't know the fact the best time to invest is when the prices are low and higher prices are good time to sell. Also, they rely much on present events, not knowing that the market is so volatile. What we have at the present will not be the same within the next hours. Its just a matter of DYOR, so that traders won't be making wrong decisions.
1699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 11 years without Satoshi on: December 16, 2021, 10:15:32 PM
this is indeed a very helpful idea for all mankind. The name that is often called as Satoshi Nakamoto wherever he is he must be very happy to see the progress of cryptocurrencies that is happening like it is today. Everyone will want to see who Satoshi Nakamoto actually created Bitcoin because it has been 11 years since Bitcoin has been developing and no one knows of its existence.
I think even if Satoshi has not come back physically, but secretly he is eyeing bitcoin and the current events happening in bitcoin. But it will do more good if he chose to be anonymous the whole time bitcoin is decentralized because it will only create a huge impact on the market once he decides to show up. And there will be lots of criticisms for Satoshi, but i know for sure we will be more grateful to see him and thank for his invention. That's for bitcoin lovers.
1700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Finally Climbs Back Above $50k, but can it Remain there? on: December 16, 2021, 11:03:10 AM
There is no way to head back to depth again, I'd see this as very unlikely because of some reasons,
*adoption (big companies are into this)
*people's mindset(they learn already) they just hold and keep calm
*FUDs aren't effective right now

That is why we never see such a straight fall but slowly, and we then see a short time frame recovery now. Well, I'm not sure if we then going straight up as we can't neglect the volatility of the market but at least, we saw signs of its recovery.

Definitely, price recovery will take place in its perfect time. But for now, the market remains so unstable that anytime bitcoin price will recover from $50k, and then the next hours we will see again falling down to $48k or $49k. Well, despite of the current scenario, we should still focus on being positive and keep being calm so we will never resort into making decisions that will probably make us regret in the end. Hodling is still the best thing to do for now as bitcoin will always recover even how many dips will come.

That’s true. We have seen how Bitcoin falls but then climbs back again after some time throughout the years. Honestly, it is not really realistic that Bitcoin will remain, like stagnantly, on its increased value, considering that it exists on a volatile market. But isn’t that the thing with crypto,  the changes in value allows us to be able to buy and sell on the right time and earn profit. We have experience all of these before, we should stay calm and wait for the time to make wise decisions.
With bitcoin having high volatility, it's not surprising that its prices will always fluctuate from time to time especially if there are sudden news that will affect the market, and i think we should get used to it. Bitcoin at the moment is very close to $50k again with its price at $49,168 but it has higher chances to drop down again due to the current correction. So considering the situation right now, i can't really tell if bitcoin will stay in $50k above or settle below than that. But as long as bitcoin remains highly volatile, there will be bigger chances that it will soon to recover again and ended up its price going to the moon again.
