Is this real?  Lol.  Tottenham just acquired Ivan Perisic on a free transfer from Inter Milan.  I don't really follow the Serie A as closely as I should but I mostly heard he's good.  I remember Mourinho wanting him at Man United 5 - 6 years ago and had praised him highly as a player.

https://www.transfermarkt.com/ivan-perisic/profil/spieler/42460

I wonder how Conte is going to play him.  He's prolly going back to his old 3 - 5 - 2 with Perisic playing left?  Not a bad signing imho.  Yeah he's 33 but they got him for free.  Smiley

^  Ige is def the value side.  If you think about it, he has more experience fighting vs the tough higher ranked guys in 145.  He fought Josh Emmet, TKD, Calvin Kattar and Edson Barboza who's a 155'er.  Lol.

Check out his Tapology page.

https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/21178-dan-ige

And Ige usually comes out the fresher guy during the later rounds.  So unless Evloev finishes Ige early, guys who bet Evloev  would be in for a sweat.  Still picking Evloev for my lottery ticket but it's close due to the line.

Here's a couple of vids.  Take not this vid with Volkov is old.  He hasn't been looking this good lately.

But things still can change - Ferrari made protest about Perez and Vertappen crossing line on pit exit.

Well they were right but RBR is protected by the F1, both drivers deserved a penalty for that.

Oh c'mon...  But Ferrari needs to own up to their own strategic mistakes too.  And it's not just in this race or in this season.  If you remember Vettel had a season that he had a chance to win the driver's championship too.  Part of it was the driver's fault but there were times it was there were mistakes on part of the team.  Under pressure in Monaco, they couldn't keep it together.  It's just as simple as that.  Let's move on to the next race.

Anyway here's the replay of the team radio that made me laugh during the race.  It was cut to hear only Leclerc's voice live.  But after the race and seeing how disappointed he was, I couldn't help but remember Vettel and how disappointed he was with his team.  Wishing Leclerc to win the next one.

^  If you're going for Ige then it's better and safer to bet him straight up than including him in a parlay...  Unless you do it the way I do when I make full event parlays using a every match up to pick parlay pieces from.  Ige is lined at 4.20.  That's not bad for an underdog pick imho.  It's really quite good.  Playing the match up in my head, I just can't see Ige being that huge of an underdog.  Dunno..  Evloev could make me look dumb saying that by finishing Ige in the first round via sub or something.  But yeah, it's Evloev for me but closer to the bottom ticket.

Anyway..  Memefield vs Mozharov looks interesting.  It could be a spot to pick the underdog.
2685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 31, 2022, 01:11:31 PM
I wouldn't like to call Erling Haaland as the next Sergio Aguero but my expectation level from him is very high now that's for certain. Manchester City were ready to give whatever he would like to be able to finish this deal quickly. Haaland is one of the most attention getting players now. His high level of performance at Dortmund was a good sign for the future. Any big team would like to see a this much young and talented striker in their lineup and Manchester City are very lucky to have him now.

Nope.  There could only be one Sergio Kun Aguero.  If he had won Man City the Champions League then his stay with the club would have been perfect.  But all in all, he is still City's signing of the decade imho.  He was rejected by Real Madrid when his then father in law Diego Maradona tried to use his clout to have him signed with the Spanish super club.  He then went to Manchester City and played under Roberto Mancini and went on to win City's first EPL trophy.  It's a pity his career ended the way it did.  It would've been hilarious if he won the UCL with Barca.  Cheesy

City unveiled a statue in his honor.  It's an ugly piece of work.  Lol.
2686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 31, 2022, 01:00:17 PM
UFC is finally coming back this weekend with something I always enjoy watching, that is heavyweight main event Alexander Volkov vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
I am not really interested in most of the fights on this fight card, but main and co-main events should very interesting to watch.
Movsar Evloev is undefeated and Dan Ige will test him this time, but with win here he would become serious featherweight contender.

Yup...  It's a decent main event match up between Volkov and Roz.  But I'm more looking forward to Ige vs Evloev.  It's a test for Evloev and somewhat a big jump up in competition.  Evloev should win and I'll have him in my lottery ticket but I don't understand why he's that huge of a favorite at 1.27.  :/

Other match ups I'm looking forward to are Osbourne vs Adashev..  Should be a banger.  And Molina vs Zhumagulov.  These guys are small but could put up great fights.

UFC ranking is something hard to understand. I dont understand their algorithm. I thought, that when you win an opponent, that has a higher position, then you take his place in top. But that is not how things work. Like Dariush. Some people dont even remember how this grey haired guy looks. I have lots of questions to pound for pound top. How is it formed? What Jon Jones is still doing there, and why we saw McGregor for such a long time there.

It's mostly made by like some guys in the UFC's war room so don't expect it to be perfect.  The rankings don't even matter sometimes.  The pound for pound is a joke imho.  It's just something for the fans to talk about.

Edit:  Wtf just happened?  Just heard Leclerc just yelled on the radio.

That was completely Sainz's mistake, he denied the call when they did and Charles lost his window.

Nothing they can do.

Yeah...  It was confusing to know what really happened there.  I thought Leclerc was yelling to his team because of the iffy call to box then a second later telling him to stay out.  By the time the team told him to stay out, Leclerc was already in the pit lane on his way in.  Lol.

Here are the results...  Great result for Perez sliding in there to win the race.  Another lucky break for Red Bull once again.  Right when Ferrari has the answer to Red Bull's pace.  Can't wait for the next one.

It's almost time for the battle of the greats,  we have the team lineups of the night.

Liverpool starting 11: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Salah, Diaz, Mane

Real Madrid starting 11: Courtois, Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Mendy, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Valverde, Vinicius Jr, Benzema

Nothing scary here but Real Madrid is my team for the night ,let's do this.

I even did a bet on Real Madrid, paying 2.35 is good enough to take the risk
I don't think Real will won the match in regular time, but penaltys  Grin
Bold prediction and I like it, Hala Madrid

^  Yup!  It's the big one for all the marbles...  I hear it's gonna be a tad late tho.  Around 15 mins as their still getting the crowd in.  And it looks like a sea of red all over.  Where are the Real Madrid fans at?

And who do you guys got?  Liverpool or Real Madrid?  It's mostly Real Madrid in JollyGood's UCL thread.  Lol.  Just wondering which side the people are in this side of the fence.  Smiley  I got Liverpool myself at 2.11.  Small bet just to have something for this match.

Leclerc is quick.  And so is Perez in that Red Bull.  It looks like he has a chip on his shoulder and something to prove after the team order in Barcelona.  Lol.  And looks like I'm wrong.  Verstappen wasn't sand bagging.  He is slow..  But even slower than Perez?

But yeah..  I don't think the grid would've changed much even if Perez didn't hit the barrier and with Sainz hitting him.  And there's high chance of rain tomorrow.

2695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do sportsbook does not apply parlay on the same event? on: May 27, 2022, 04:15:36 PM
I'm just curious guys, I like to ask your opinion on why sportsbooks do not apply parlay on the same event. I remember when I was new to sports betting, one of the sites I'm using allowed it but now it's not possible anymore.

What do you think are the reasons for that?

Cos some sharp who has an edge over the book could turn any line into a +EV play and shift the odds in his favor.  But some books do allow it in football matches.  They're called 'bet builders' and there are combo bets available.  In MMA there are some props that act like you're doing parlay from a couple of lines into one bet like the fighter plus the method of winning.  But straight out you yourself picking which lines to parlay in the same match, no.  That's giving you, the guy who the book should be taking money from, too much of an advantage.
2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2021/22 Season on: May 27, 2022, 04:02:07 PM
Nobody!!! They should be happy that they faced toothless Chelsea in both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup finals and won both games on penalties; they are far from the best team; Real Madrid will undoubtedly thrash them in the UFC final, and I can beat my chest on that!!!
Ooo nice!  Some little friendly banter on the night of the match.  I hope you guys could be active itt.  It's just so much fun having to laugh and talk to you guys while the game is playing live.

Dunno man...  It feels like Klopp is saving his squad for this moment and having lost his first UCL final vs Liverpool, I don't think he'll allow it to happen again.  Not saying they couldn't lose but Klopp and his boys wouldn't be going out of this without a fight.

Any props that we should be looking at here?

I don't like to chat during games, but I will definitely run a commentary on this one on Saturday if I'm not too busy. The pressure is on Liverpool, who want to exact revenge on Real Madrid after they lost the league the last time they met. I'm not sure any English fans are rooting for Liverpool in this one, as they have gradually become the league's most despised club.

As there are no injuries to report, both teams will have their best players available for the game.

I've already thrown $50 to Real Madrid at the odd price of 3.45 odd

Wtf?  When?  Why??   And how did that happen?  I might be out of it for too long as I haven't been following a lot of football news as I should.  But I don't see why I missed something like LFC being the EPL's most despised club.

Anyway..  Liverpool def wants revenge for the loss at Kiev.  I think it was 2018?  But yeah, the win will be huge and extra special for the club.  And Klopp!  I got just around 30 bucks riding on Liverpool but not too confident.  That 30 could be around 25 by match day as BTC keeps selling down.  Cheesy  LFC has the better squad tho.
2697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: May 27, 2022, 01:55:08 PM
The funny thing about a lot of people is they usually think that 'this time it's different.'.  It's never different because BTC's 4 year halving cycle is always being anticipated and always being played accordingly.  And here's the thing, as long as the whole crypto market revolves around BTC then it's also trapped together with BTC's 4 year cycle.

I think in order for the market to break away from said cycle, BTC would have to lose dominance over the rest of the crypto market and have another coin lead the market.  Say ETH flippens BTC...  Yeah yeah I know but what if.  Then I think it would be the only time we could say 'this time it's different.'.

^  Yup.  I'll be happy with whatever's on that's related to MMA or fighting.  I'd be open to watch some boxing if there was any good match ups.  Lol.

There's also this event which looks kinda interesting because of the name value of the promoter's name.  I'm not sure if Faber really is the promoter tho or if the organization is just using his name.   Will look it up later.

The match ups are mostly low level...  Like looow level low, lower than the Contender Series.  But looks like it's going to he a fun watch.

Sunday rain is expected for the race is still early but it can happen.

Rain in Monaco can be fun.

Ah...  Then it will def be another case of Leclerc getting pole at qualifying then Verstappen winning the race cos some dumb shit happened during the race.  The rain just made it more likely to happen.  :/  Can't wait what's in store for us at Formula Dank.  Lol.

And I'm surprised nobody posted the results for first practice yet...  It used to be a race.  Anyway Ferrari and Red Bull are not sand bagging here.
