I think Croatia might have more of a chance than what the lines are showing us.  I see Croatia ML at 5 in some books, sometimes bit more but it's kinda risky.  I fancy Croatia but as a tad safer value bet, what do you guys think of Croatia double chance and both teams to score combo at 3.70?

And in the other semi final, what does everybody think of France win to nil at 2.17?  Good bet or will Morocco continue to surprise everybody again.  :/

It is difficult to guess, especially such complex bets. I am attracted to a simple bet on France to win with odds of 1.53. I think you will agree that before the start of the World Cup, such a bet would look like free money. It's funny that a double chance for France or a draw comes with only 1.08 odds - there's no point in risking an 8% profit.

Yeah I know.  It's just from what we've been seeing with Croatia in the tourney, it seems like the books have been giving them less credit than what they can really do on the pitch.  This is just imho, but I think Croatia's midfield has been playing a tad better than Argentina's midfield.  I'm expecting an outcome something like what happened vs Brazil.

So yeah..  Croatia double chance and BTTS combo at 3.07.  It's prolly less odds now as some money is coming in for Croatia.  I wonder what the likes of igehhh thinks or Trofo and Hhampuz.

Not a bad roster for a Fight Night to end the year for the UFC.  It's gonna be around three weeks - almost a month before the next event.  I'm excited to make another lottery ticket after winning three from 182.  At lesst I have a little bit of money to bet around here and the World Cup semis.  Smiley

Match ups I'm looking forward to are Nurmagomedov vs Kakhramonov which should be in the main card imho, Kape vs Dvorak, Tsarukyan vs Ismagulov and the main event.  This event also looks more parlayable...  So hope I can win some again.

Here are the fixtures for the semi-finals:

Many neutrals would have put down current world champions France to make another semi-final but how many at the beginning of the tournament would have guessed Morocco would be flying the flag for the African continent becoming the first African nation to make it to a world cup semi-final or that Croatia would be here again alongside Argentina?

Not many people would have got all four teams correct  Grin

Imho, instead of giving Ankalaev vs Blachowicz a split draw, judges should have given Paddy vs Gordon a split draw, if the wanted to save Paddys clear record so badly.

Someone might say, that this was another "anti Russian judgement", and judges have robbed Ankalaev similar to Petr Jan. But for me Blachowicz won that fight. For me it is 3-2 for Blachowicz. He took first 3 rounds, but lost 5th round badly due to lack of activity or stamina. That is why one of the judges gave 8-9 for 5th round. If it was 9-9, than Jan would won with 1 point advantage.

One of the reasons why we have a split draw and no champ. 2 days ago I have watch an interview with Dana. He spoke about Prochazka injury. He said, that shoulder injury is not as bad as he thought. It might not need 6 months to recover. That is why there is still a chance to see Prochazka vs Texeira second title fight.

I think Gordon and Ankalaev won their matches.  The event was surprisingly good for what it was until the seeing how co main and the main event turned out.

Anyway, here are the results:  https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/92214-ufc-282

All matches ended with a finish except for the final two.

And I'm a bit happy I made a little bit of BTC's as I've won my top three tickets.  Smiley  I hope to continue winning some at the next event.  It's going to be the last one for the year and the next one will be on Jan 14.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Tournament Discussion Thread for Qatar 2022 on: December 10, 2022, 02:40:34 PM
Brazil is sus.  Not enough pressing when they don't have the ball costed them.  Croatia is all about pressing in packs, isolating whoever had the ball.

Anyway, penalty shout out!!!  I want Croatia to go through the semis!  Rodrygo missed his penalty.  Cheesy

Edit:  Croatia has yet to miss any of their pens.  LFG Croatiaaa!

CROATIA GOES THROUUUGGGGHHHHHH LOL BRAZIIIILLL LOOOOOLLLL!

Man, another semifinal for Croatia, damn it, no one saw this coming, tbh I was really surprised how they were able to hold the ball more than the Brazilians, the moment Kovasic and Modric took the midfield I knew the brazil would be in trouble to penetrate so they opted out for long ball in the second half which did not help more as the Croatia were so solid and gave Vini a minimum space through the game But I was still confident that the Brazilians would win as they usually do, and when Neymar scored that late goal, I was like YES YES that's what the samba boys do. I had no idea that Croatia had another -plan for them. It was a beautiful game, and the MOTM could have gone to Croatia's goalkeeper. I'm not sure who else they gave it to, but he's the only reason they're in the semi-finals

Time for Messi to shock the world with hattrick or brace tonight.

Against Brazil I'd have to agree.  Prolly some people saw it could happen but not with a lot of conviction.  I kinda started thinking it could happen around the 60th minute seeing how Brazil wasn't pressing enough like their life depended on it.  It was Croatia that pressed and pressed in packs they did nullifying Brazil.

And yeah, Neymar's late goal kinda made me hopeful that my parlay is still live.  I needed another one for the over 1.5 goals combo.  But no...  +.5 for Netherlands hit and if Portugal wins and it's BTTS for France vs England then Brazil is my pie shitter.  Lol.  On to the semis.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 10, 2022, 02:31:07 PM

Paddy Pimblet has been acting a bit cringe for me recently. Him and Dana were embarrassingly sucking each other off on his podcast and he was using McGregor lines at the press conference. I think this fight is probably going to be his biggest challenge yet and if he loses it it'll derail the hype train massively.
I'm sure they will make that title fight happen then. Probably Molly and Paddy fighting again as well.
Yeah, unfortunately it does seem like we've got a fighter trying to hard to be someone they aren't. I like Paddy, but he's much more tolerable on non fighting interviews, and podcasts. He seems pretty humble outside of the UFC, but obviously when it comes to the UFC he's trying so hard to be the next big thing; like Mcgregor. Obviously, Dana realises the potential, and is running with it.

Although, I must say this match up is a risky one from Dana, I think Gordon is underestimated by a lot of fans.

Dana is desperate for him to be the next McGregor as his time is nearly up if it isn't already so the UFC needs another superstar that grabs the headlines. The thing is, Paddy doesn't need to do this as he already gets numbers so he should just continue being himself. Dana has shown the numbers/views he gets on social media and it dwarfs most other fighters so there's no need to follow the Connor blueprint. I don't even mind him doing that if he's original but he was literally using Connor's lines almost verbatim which was cringe as was him licking Dana's arse at every opportunity.

I don't think the UFC will ever find another break through super star as huge as McGregor...  Not in a long time at least.  They tried with a few guys but it turned out to be cringe or the fighter turned out to really wasn't that good in the cage.  That's why I appreciate what the likes of Covington is doing...  He knows it's all for the lulz and he knows that we know it's fake and he does it anyway to annoy everybody.  Lol.  A lot of these guys who do it to look cool will turn out cringey and will never do it like McGregor did.  I'm talking about McGregor before he became cringey himself.  Lolol.

Here are the weigh ins...  Enjoy.

1769  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 09, 2022, 04:15:11 PM
It can be said that December is better than November, although November has touched $ 22k, but if we look at the daily transaction trends that occurred in December, we deserve to be optimistic that the December is the beginning of the bull run, maybe before April 2023 the price has already been touch $ 30k.

Is it really the beginning of the bull run tho?  I could see the logic for saying that we could be at the bottom or near it but the beginning of a new bull market?  Nah.  Usually we see a lot of side ways action and a lot of people start to get bored and sell their bags instead of slowly buying bit by bit  and have a decent bag before the next bull run.

Anyway, the poll is close 9 votes says we have hit bottom and with 12 expecting another sell down.  There could be a sell down but as I've been saying, it might not be that huge.
1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for December on: December 09, 2022, 04:03:11 PM
Ethereum can still stay above $1k until the end of the year and right now, this seems like a test for ethereum can really hold on and even increase bit by bit. Ethereum could rise again and if it now looks like ethereum is following bitcoin it is because bitcoin itself is surviving the downturn that could happen. But if bitcoin weakens and eventually declines, ethereum will surely experience the same thing. We still have a few weeks to see if ethereum holds onto $1k or drops below $1k. Let's just hope that doesn't happen.

True.  All of crypto just follows what BTC is doing but with higher price volatility.  That's why a lot of folks make a lot more money holding alts than holding everything in BTC.  Like DOGE which out performed BTC by a lot.  Many of you guys who started buying DOGE at the lows around .00000015 prolly made bank if you sold the highs around .00001250.  That's like almost a 100x move in BTC.

It's even more if counted in fiat as BTC  made a 20x move up of it's own.  Lots of friendly shibes got rich and I think the same formula will work again at the next bull market.  It's all meme all around.

Just turning on my stream to see how my investment is doing starting with Croatia vs Brazil.  And it's not really looking good right now at nil - nil.  Lol.

As a parlay I got...

Brazil to win and over 1.5 goals combo
Netherlands +.5
Portugal to win
BTTS for England vs France

Total odds of 8.15.  Brazil has to score a couple of goals to keep the parlay alive and so I'll continue and watch the next match between Netherlands and Argentina or go do something else if they lose.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I heard.  Lol.  As I said, they need to sell UFC 182 PPV's as the original main event was scrapped and we get Blachowicz vs Ankalaev.  Not really that enticing for a main event imho.

I'm watching the pre fight press conference right now.  You guys can watch it with me and see all the cringe.  Grin

UFC 182:  Press Conference

I'm looking forward to two match ups tho.  Mitchell vs Topuria and Curtis vs Buckley.

Edit:  Pimblett and Topuria having a little back and forth.  I forgot they had some beef from a while ago.  Lmao.  I miss stuff like this.

Edit:  It was a fun press conference.  Now I feel like Ponz will be my pie shitter.  :/

If you guys really want Ankalaev it could be good to wait til R2 ends and bet for him live.  Def don't take the chalk with where the line is at 1.35.
I don't know any crypto gambling website that accepts live betting on UFC and other MMA fights, but maybe you know something that I don't know.
After asking many times I got an answer from few websites that this needs a lot of extra work and they are not ready for that change right now.

I am excited to watch Bryce Mitchell vs Ilia Topuria, both of this guys have perfect MMA score so far and of them will have to spoil it this weekend.
This are my main predictions for UFC 282 that can be played in some combo, Magomed Ankalaev, Paddy Pimblett and Alex Morono all to win.

Stake has live betting for the UFC.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: December 08, 2022, 04:15:13 PM

I am not really that excited, about the main event feels like I already know what may happen but I am more excited about the co-main event I want to see how Pimblett going to win over Jared Gordon, well I will be posting my predictions and picks for that fight on the UFC thread provided by tokeweed,

Yeah, you are right.
The Pimblett fight is way more entertaining.. It's not that Blachowicz or Ankalaev are bad fighters, but Paddy the BADDY simply polarizes. He is not the typical ufc fighter. Cheesy
I see an early win for Pimblett here.

Heh yeah.  It's why the UFC made him vs Gordon the co main event, two unranked fighters, instead of Bryce Mitchell vs Ilia Topuria who are both ranked within the top 15.

But with 182's roster not really looking that good and with the new main event really really not looking that good, the UFC had to put somebody like McGregor near the top of the list to draw the crowd in as Blachowicz or Ankalaev are surely not gonna do it.
1774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: December 08, 2022, 04:02:03 PM
Confidence must be based on research and maybe you have done that when you are really sure because for me personally I will never know for sure where or whether it will go up or down to a certain price now.
Everyone's predictions are different and I'm not going to do all kinds of speculation with the research I'm doing because I did that last December and I was wrong there.
I'll just wait patiently and add to my portfolio little by little so that when it's over I won't regret too much by just continuing to wait.  Grin

I think when looking for the pipe dream trade and gaining 1000x, research won't make really make that huge of a difference.  We're just trying to get lucky and what are the coins to get very lucky in..?  Getting in early in memecoins with dog logos.  Lolol.  That's a tried and tested way in cryptocurrency investing.  Cheesy

So anyway if you guys got any more to add to the criteria, just drop them here in the thread and let's discuss them.  So far we have 'it must not be listed in major exchanges yet, 'it must have a dog logo', 'it must be a micro cap coin' and 'it must be a new coin'.

1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Tournament Discussion Thread for Qatar 2022 on: December 08, 2022, 03:37:09 PM
Yeah I thought the same with the 0 - 2 but no...  Lol.  Looks like Morocco held and on they go to the quarter finals.  I didn't watch the match but I could imagine Spain being a bit stale with the tiki taka style of play.  There are days when everything works and they look brilliant and there are days when the opposing squad's defense is so solid that their attacking would look non threatening, just passing the ball around without any direct attacking threat.  Dunno...

For those who watched the match, how did it look for Spain?  Stale or did Morocco luck out?

Spain played a shitty game. Possessing the ball and not taking risks in attack is stupid. It's worse than putting the bus in because the defending team's motives are clear. But the motives of an attacking team that has "reliable" possession of the ball and does not risk losing it by going to the dribble or to the struggle are unclear. Spain with its style of play is outdated for a long time, it just worked before, now it doesn't. And to be honest, even when it worked it was a sad sight - all those games were 1-0, if you remember the golden years of Spain. This is not football, but the torment of oneself, the opponent and the spectators.

Ah yeah...  Stale.  Man City was kinda the same before Haaland.  Sure they were winning matches and sure they were playing good football but if you watch the match it almost gets boring at times because of the lack of directness at the offensive.

Anyway, what do you guys think of Morocco and Portugal?  Morocco took down Belgium in the group stages and Spain in the round of 16.  Can they take down Portugal in the quarter finals?  :/

Here's my parlay for the quarters...  Brazil to win and over 1.5 goals combo, Netherlands +.5, Portugal to win and BTTS for England vs France at 8.15.

What do you guys think?
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 08, 2022, 03:25:56 PM
^  For where the lines are at, I feel like it's better to bet on Blachowicz as a decent underdog than going for Ankalev with all that chalk.  And Ankalaev is a slow starter so early rounds could work out or Blachowicz with him winning R1 and R2.

If you guys really want Ankalaev it could be good to wait til R2 ends and bet for him live.  Def don't take the chalk with where the line is at 1.35.

Here's my lottery ticket for the event.  Trying my luck again.  Lol.

The final round of 16 games taking place is today:

Morocco vs Spain
Portugal vs Switzerland

Portugal vs Switzerland seems a victory for Ronaldo and his team but in the other game Morocco have an excellent chance to beat Spain and make it to the quarter-finals.

Really?  Never thought Morocco had the players to beat a top tier international team like Spain.  I fancy a win with a clean sheet for them.  And to make the quarter finals super interesting I'd really want to see Portugal vs Spain.  Other quarter final matches in the other parts of the bracket are Croatia vs Brazil, Netherlands vs Argentina and prolly the best match up of them all France vs England.  If the English squad goes thru, there's a good chance they win it all.  France is one of the tougher match ups in this World Cup.

Edit:  Ah yeah...  I get it now.  Morocco came out on top in their group and even beat Belgium.
both of them played equally well during the first half no goals were created, in fact nothing is impossible in this world cup if morocco makes a surprise to make a goal against spain but of course it's not that easy, morocco is also not a bad team during this world cup and the crowd underestimated it, even predicting that Spain could score more than 3 goals against Morocco is impossible, I can only predict that Spain will win narrowly for 0 - 1 or 0 - 2, even though it looks difficult for Spain to penetrate the opponent's defense to score goals, but we'll see. second half later

Dunno...

Yesterday T.J.Dillashaw has announced his retirement. He has finished his career with 17-5 record and has been fighting for UFC for 10 years. I would say that this is a right decision. He is 36, doubtfully he would be champ (bantamweight is very competable right now, he has lost his title opportunity and next might be only in couple of years), in addition he fight rarely recently.

He has a couple of recurring injuries now.  When he fought Sandhagen his knee blew up and there's his shoulder popping off vs Sterling.  And yeah, he's getting old at age 36 which is kinda old for a bantam weight.

Anyway here's a couple of vids to watch before making your bets for the Topuria vs Mitchell match up which I think should be the co main event.  This match up could also be a main event for a Fight Night imho  Both of them are wrestlers, they are ranked and both undefeated.  I got the underdog for this one in Mitchell as I think he has better wrestling than Topuria.

I think coins that have great potential to become The Next X100 are matic, polygon or matic is a giant project that is now ranked 10th, I suggest to buy as much as possible because when the market improves then matic will skyrocket and to reach x100 of course it takes at least 3 time year.
but the question is about x1000 and that is x10 of what you are talking here .

Matic is indeed one of the most promising coin because this has been supported largely from day one and I am also invested in this one.

but x100 is not as good looking for short term here .

With Polygon at 8 billion USD market cap, I think it has one of the lowest chances of getting a 100x.  Think about it, 100x means the market cap has to be at 800 billion USD.  That's more than twice BTC's current market cap.  Lol.  1000x from 8 billion is 8 trillion market cap.  Cheesy  That's like most of the total market cap for all of crypto.

Anyway..  I think noobs should be more mindful of market cap when thinking about how much they think a coin will go up.  But then again you never know.  I just think from what I've seen, 'the criteria' gives a better chance for finding that elusive 1000x investment.
