^  Yup exactly.  The thread is better for it if we focus on the events and talk about stuff from a betting perspective and learn from each other so we could make better bets.  And I didn't know that Green was caught be USADA.  Thanks for the tip, that kind of stuff is useful if you're betting these matches.  Kape was caught by USADA too but I got him at my too ticket.  Pie shitter?  :/

Anyway, here are the weigh in vids and the results.  Marquez vs Winn was canceled due to Winn fainting before he went to the scale.  One fighter missed weight.

1742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Tournament Discussion Thread for Qatar 2022 on: December 16, 2022, 05:00:25 PM
However France have a really big opportunity to win the title two times in a row. Argentina is a really big obstacle for them. Most probably they won't be comfortable in this match at all. Messi have showed impressive performances and Argentina have played a very effective attacking game so far. I think the winner might be decided by extra time or even penalties.
I hope so, maybe we can see the score to be 2-2 or 1-1

BTTS at 1.97 wouldn't be a bad spot here imho, BTTS and over 2.5 combo at 2.75 if you want to gamble.  But of course these spots are just good for regular time plus stoppage time.  Extra time don't count.  So it's def better to opt for the safer bet with just plain vanilla BTTS.

I could see this match go 1 - 1 at regular time with one of them getting a goal in at extra time, holding it and winning the World Cup.  Kinda feel like it's going to be France.

1743  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 16, 2022, 03:46:40 PM
I don't know what the ones who said no really thinks we could see. I mean we are already at a very low price and we have dropped even further recently, isn't that enough to understand? I am not saying that this the only way or anything but it is certainly not a great way to invest if you keep thinking it will constantly go down.

I believe it has seen the bottom and it will go up, there is no way that we are going to even further down, it is a good situation to be and we shouldn't be constantly think about the possibility of a drop. I mean being ready for it is something else, have a stop loss if you want, but expecting it versus being ready for it are different things.

Some of the time, it's just guys who hope for the market to go down some more so they can buy more for the same amount of money.  I'd be lying if I said I didn't want that.  At other times, it's also some guys who bought around 30k, sold at a loss at around 18k or somewhere near the lows, realized they made a mistake and now want to buy back lower.  I'd also be lying if I didn't make this mistake before.  Lol.

Back in the day, I also used to fud my own bags for the lulz because I was frustrated.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  It's so funny thinking about it now.  So immature...

It is several days am wondering what is it about but still can't figure out  : Is it a riddle, a voucher code , a math formula Cheesy Cheesy ?

You and me both.  Lol.  Ampera has been posting BTC teasers for more than a couple of months now and a lot of the guys have been guessing what it's all about but nothing has been officially said so far.  So yeah, it's prolly just Ampera having a field day by making everybody guess on something that could never be known.

Anyway, I got my account fixed btw...  It wasn't the browser or the cache.  It was the site not making me log in because it thinks I still need to do 2FA which I already cancelled.

Other than the main event I think that the Arman Tsarukyan VS Damir Ismagulov will be a thrilling fight to watch aswell, Said Nurmagomedov VS Saidyokub Kakhramonov is another fight that I am looking forward to seeing, and surely the fighting kittens the only woman fight in this event for this two beautiful ladies Cheyanne Vlismas VS Cory McKenna is what I am looking forward to really see, and will surely post my picks on this fights before the match start,

Yup, Tsarukyan vs Ismagulov will def be good.  I got Tsarukyan but I have him at the fourth tier of my parlay lottery ticket.  An argument could be made for Ismagulov as a straight up value bet as he's a live dog.

As it's close to a pickem, I got Nurmagomedov but just like Tsarukyan vs Ismagulov, I wouldn't blame you guys if you went for the other guy.  Lol.  And for the ladies, Vlismas straight up for me.  McKenna is just too small and doesn't have any pop in her strikes, Vlismas does.  I fancy Vlismas finishing her late in the match.

^  True...  Unless one of the biggest exchanges left go under.  Which could happen but then again the sell down wouldn't be as huge as we think as what we've already seen with FTX.  I think it would take Binance going under to make BTC drop way below 15k imho.  Other exchanges, not so much.

Here's the top exchanges as listed in CMC.

https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

I think the top 5 is solid.  So I don't think we should have anything to worry about.

Edit:  I'm locking the poll in a couple of days.

Hey FJ, I seem to have a problem as I can't log in to the site.  It accepts my email or username and password just fine but then it just doesn't log me in.  I tried both email and username and also tried to type the wrong password on purpose just to see.  And it does prompt me that I have typed the wrong password.  So meaning there's nothing wrong with my username or email and password.

The last time I logged in the site, I removed 2FA and was able use the site with no problems.  Could the removal of 2FA caused the problem?

-
Hello @tokeweed,

2FA should not be the problem, try clearing the cache or using another browser. If it does not help, send us your FJ username and our team will manually review the account.

Cheers,

-
ampera

@tokeweed this looks like a classic cache issue, but if it yet persists try changing your browser and I hope that you’re using the same IP address you normally use to login, but if it’s an different one then inform the support immediately so they can help you login. @FortuneJack any plans for a special promo for Japan, because their entry to the next round is very shocking and deserves a special promo so just thought to request it here.

Just trying to get it fixed and ready for the next Majestic 7 rounds in the coming weeks.  And it turned out to be more than just a cache or a browser issue.  It's prolly just an issue with the site not handling that I got 2FA removed.  It should be fixed in a couple of days, just waiting for the email.

Anyway, in hindsight the special promo should've been for Morocco!  Lol.  They've been winning against better teams until France happened.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 15, 2022, 02:23:40 PM
So in the end they called Vasseur, as predicted.

He has a huge experience and he already worked with Leclerc 3 years ago, best of luck

Yup, for the sake of the sport and the season for 2023, I hope it all works out for the team and esp Leclerc.  He has the makings to be an excellent driver who could win championships.  Imagine a world where Vestappen wasn't in the picture and Leclerc drove for Red Bull.  He would be unbeatable if placed in a team like that imho.

And it looks like Binotto is completely out and he didn't give the team a choice.  He will def be missed.  Let's see what Ferrari can do with a new technical team.

Early lines for the outrights for 2023.

Some interesting lines in the season H2H market.  Will take a good look later.
1749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Tournament Discussion Thread for Qatar 2022 on: December 15, 2022, 02:10:01 PM
The final two games of the tournament:

Saturday 17th December - Play-off
Croatia vs Morocco

Sunday 18th December - Final
Argentina vs France

Morocco put up a brave display with injured players but they kept believing and were close to causing an upset. Eventually France won 2-0 but Morocco can be proud of their achievements in this tournament. Croatia and Morocco play next.

France are looking to create history by becoming back-to-back world cup champions, the first since Brazil did it in 1958 and 1962. Argentina will try to stop them and win their own world cup since 1986.

France could do it with a bit of luck but then again I think they're evenly matched vs Argentina...  There's a lot to like about either teams winning the World Cup if you're a neutral.  France winning means witnessing something rare, as you said, back to back championships.  Argentina winning is witnessing greatness in Messi and putting the question 'Pele or Messi' to rest.  Lol.  There isn't gonna be another player like Messi for around a couple of decades.

I don't think I have ever been as excited in a World Cup final before.

Anyway, anybody have picks or leans to share itt?  Wink
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 15, 2022, 02:02:10 PM

For this weekend we have last UFC event in this year and Jared Cannonier vs Sean Strickland should be interesting main event to watch.
It's hard to predict a winner here but I would give slight advantage to Cannonier, but there are no real favorite in this fight.
My main bet for this event is on Khabib's cousin Said Nurmagomedov to win against Saidyokub Kakhramonov, and odds are very good.

I think there's a chance that Cannonier KO's Strickland this weekend.  I watched Cannonier's media day interview and he said that Strickland said he wants to 'duke it out' in the middle of the cage.  That's def a bad idea as Strickland was just KO'd by Pereira a tad over a couple of months ago.

You guys can watch the interview here.

As I got lucky at the last event, I'm gonna try to get lucky again with another lottery ticket.  Cheesy

Kape - Matthews:  1.88
Add:  Albazi - Morozov - Marquez:  4.79
Add:  Erosa - Vlismas - Battle:  24.98
Add:  Nurmagomedov - Tsakuryan - Dober:  113.61
Add:  Cannonier - Brundage - Garcia:  1182.50

Good luck to all your bets.
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: December 14, 2022, 04:39:32 PM
Bump...  I think the market is somewhat starting to look good again.  Hopefully we don't get another exchange or something blowing up and cause another sell down.  We're knee deep in goblin town as it is already.  Cheesy

So yeah, I'm thinking the next great 1000x could not be limited to altcoins or tokens.  I think there's a ton of value that's gonna go into NFT's too.  And as the thesis for this thread is about dirt cheap projects with dog logos, it also applies for the criteria for how to choose an NFT.  Grin

So here's my bet for the next great 1000x for NFT's...  Doge Club.

And here's a portfolio contest from Halab.  It's .03 BTC for first place.  I have taken my thesis and applied it for my entry.  Smiley

So yeah..  Croatia double chance and BTTS combo at 3.07.  It's prolly less odds now as some money is coming in for Croatia.  I wonder what the likes of igehhh thinks or Trofo and Hhampuz.
I am not betting on both to score in Argentina - Croatia match. Argentina has some of the lowest xG conceded in the tournament and Croatia hasn't really been that good in attack. We were very good in taking our chances but we did not create that much chances. This game could end up 0:0 in regular time easy, I know we believe in our ability to take up anybody on penalties and I think we would take those penalties all the way to the final without complains. That means it is all up to Argentina and I don't see them going all in as well.

And just as when we were starting to think that Croatia could go to the finals and Argentina is getting more vulnerable, Argentina starts playing decent and wins the match.  :/  Some of the guys who I talk a lot of football with were saying the Croatia line had value.  I did think so too.  But then we got corrected by the books...  How do they always knooow what's gonna happen??

Anyway from a football fan perspective, I'm happy with either club going to the finals.  I just hope at the next semi final, France wins.  Not that I have anything against Morocco.  I really don't.  I just want Argentina vs France more than Argentina vs Morocco.
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 14, 2022, 01:46:47 PM
If you have a look at the scam accusation section, you will find that no casino has a good reputation there. Each and every casino which has their ANN thread here, has at least one complaint against them; sometimes confiscated funds, delayed withdrawal, not paying the winning, freezing account etc. Why this is the principal of all the casinos? Why they can't operate without having any issues? They always do this shit; who knows what has been done with people who don't know how to deal with such a casino. Can you show me a thread that never had any reputation issues on this forum?

The thing is what if most of these accusations are done by trolls hired by some gambling site to target another gambling site.  I'm not accusing anybody here but the way how lax the rules are in the forum most of the time, I wouldn't really be surprised if that was the case.  I mean name the most scammy gambling site there is in BCT then ask yourself how long have they been operating and why are they even still allowed to operate?  Shouldn't they be shit down by LE by now?

And why would a gambling site scam their own customers?  Wouldn't that be bad for business?

Brazil Fan Token launched by the Brazilian government and the Brazilian football federation
BTF Token cryptocurrency is a national fan of Brazilian football. It dropped 50% in a few hours and about 60% in 24 hours after losing against Croatia at the FIFA World Cup in penalty shootout.

The Brazilian government and football federation launched the Brazil Fan Token on August 25, 2021. The token offers an exclusive experience for investors and sports fans around the world.

Read more at: https://trynews.id/brazil-fan-token-turun-60-setelah-kalah-dari-croatia/

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Edit:  Come to think of it, buying these fan tokens could be the safer bet than making your bets on the matches themselves esp with how unpredictable the World Cup can be as shown by Croatia and Morocco.  I bet if they had they're fan tokens, they'd be going through the roof after their wins at the quarter finals.  Lol.

Imagine betting 100 bucks on Brazil and losing it all vs buying 100 bucks worth of fan tokens.  With fan tokens it could either be an easy 3x win or losing just 50%.  Not a bad deal imho.

^  Depends.  They could also be in another transition period with their new team principal and possibly new chief technical officer if the Ferrari F1 brass decides to kick Binotto out which I don't think they will do.  There could be other teams that'll love to hire him and get more advantage for his talents as an engineer.

Remember, Binotto was also one of the engineers who helped built the winning cars of Michael Schmacher at Ferrari.  I'll say it again, it would be a huge mistake for Ferrari to get rid of him.
