Here's what I'm thinking for a parlay for this weekend;

Good luck with that 5 acca, i allowed myself to tail you here, i like all 5 picks! Cool

Way too many upsets this morning for "safe" parlay.  Sorry for steering you wrong, morvillz7z.   Cry

I put a small wager on it myself, but I guess the Bangles and the Vikings had other plans.  Luckily I hedged a bet on one underdog that came through for me; I put an in-game bet on the Steelers when they were tied at 7-7.  Got a decent return on that.
2682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 01, 2020, 01:52:56 PM
it looks safe, but you will very likely lose this and similar bets and not make any profits longterm.

Yeah, that's what I figured.  From a statistical standpoint, the odds of getting all right are compounded by factors of the odds of getting each one right.  it's definitely more risky than picking each of those results individually.

I think its ok if you are just playing for fun and trying to add some value.

And that's it really, I just want to have a little fun, and see if I can turn 1mBTC into ~9.  Cheesy

And never bet on your favourite team, because you might be biased or just a fanboy Grin Jk,

Hey now, I resemble that remark!  Okay, maybe I'll remove the 9ers from my pick.  With my luck I'll get all those picks except the 9ers will let me down.

I am going with the Dolphins ML today @2.60 Shocked Tua will make his debut and though I don't know how he will do after his horrible injury, the Rams do not know as well and it's always difficult to play a QB, where there is no (NFL) tape available. Dolphins team will be pumped today and they are really doing well this season, which is a bit of a surprise to me. They are 3-3 and in their losses against Patriots/Bills/Seahawks they were competitive and in a position to win the game in Q4. Rams had a good start, but as we know they already played the whole NFC East, so it's a bit hard to judge where they really stand this season. I like to oppose west coast teams in early games at the east coast and the odds for Miami are too high here imo.

Looking forward to BAL-PIT and SEA-SF, will be good games I think. Odds-wise I think the market has done its job - I might jump on the 49ers inplay, since I think they have a very good shot at the W today, but pre-match odds have no value to me. Seattle, despite their good record, hasn't been super convincing, with a lot of tight games and SF seem to be back on track and they are a very good away team.

Good picks.  I kind of like Miami for the win today also, but it's largely going to depend on "which" LA Rams show up.  They've been hit and miss all year, and their record isn't showing how much trouble they've actually had.  Miami with a handicap, might be a safe bet.

Here's what I'm thinking for a parlay for this weekend;

Green Bay Packers hosts Minnesota Vikings
Winner: Green Bay Packers

Seattle Seahawks hosts San Francisco 49ers
Handicap: San Francisco 49ers (+4.5)

Baltimore Ravens hosts Pittsburgh Steelers
Handicap: Pittsburgh Steelers (+4.5)

Cincinnati Bengals hosts Tennessee Titans
Winner: Tennessee Titans

Chicago Bears hosts New Orleans Saints
Winner: New Orleans Saints

What do you guys think?  Is picking 5 games for the parley a bit over the top?

I am putting some money on the Browns tb the Steelers today Tongue

Ouch!  I didn't make any predictions this week, but all that talk about the Steelers going 5-0 for the first time since the Bradshaw days seemed to drive them.  Cleveland is looking good this year, which is nice to see.

Looking forward to Bucs - Packers, where I think GB will get the W, but the odds look ok-ish for that to happen.

I was looking forward to that game also, then it got boring as fuck.  Definitely not the results I expected, especially after the first quarter.  Rodgers looked rattled, very unusual to see him that way.

Did anyone get a glimpse of the LA@SF odds before the game?  I imagine that the Rams were favored.  I was not looking forward to seeing the Nines lose again, but was pleasantly surprised by their outing.

unforeseen pressures in the shadows leave me no option but to leave the forum permanently.

Sorry to hear that, Lauda.  I hope you find the sanctuary, sanity, and peace you deserve.

Since this is the Flag reference thread, I'll respond here: I've opposed the Flag.
I don't worry about future scams: the chance of the account getting compromised didn't increase. The risk could even be less than it was for instance a year ago, especially if theymos bans it as Lauda requested.

I'll leave a neutral tag instead.

Yeah, a flag seems a bit much, and I agree with your reasoning.  Theymos has locked other accounts upon request, Mdayonliner comes to mind.  I think there's very little risk the account will be used again, and less likely that it'll be hijacked by a scammer.

How did your PGP key get compromised?

If I had to guess; I would say the keys were not "compromised" per say, but rather the private keys have been purged and destroyed.  Maybe a bad choice of words, or maybe deliberately chosen revoke the keys' integrity.
2686  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 - some changes on my trust list and possible why. on: October 18, 2020, 03:00:41 PM
Thank you Royse, that means a lot. The whole saga surrounding those sportsbet.io accusations were ridiculous. I apologise for my conduct throughout, I’m removing your from my ~ list right now.

That was a clusterfuck, but it says more about the folks that used the disagreement as an excuse to enforce a personal grudge.

Two trusted members whom I've helped in the past (and whom I respect) decided to remove me from their inclusions, and one DT1 member actually excluded me as a result of my position on the issue.  Since (as we all know) an inclusion is meant as a trust of judgement and exclusion is meant as a distrust of judgement, it seems rather ironic that I was right and they were wrong on the issue.  Again, saying more about their character than mine.

Do you only provide loans to testicles?  Why discriminate against other body parts?

It worked for Gruden, not for Zimmer, bro just fucking kick the field goal, you up 5 points with 2 minutes left SEA with only 1 timeout remaining, they gotta score and convert on a 2pt and you still in the game. I don't know i would never go for it, dumb way to lose the game imo.

I agree, bad call by Zimmer.  The announcers were talking about it too, saying that if there was a crowd in the stadium, Zimmer goes for the FG.  You have to hand it the Seagulls, though that was an awesome closing drive.  I found myself rooting for them despite them being division rivals.  Nothing but respect for Russel Wilson, and that catch by Metcalf, a thing of beauty.

Not looking peachy for 49ers

I KNOW, I KNOW.  Stop making it worse. [/s]

They lost to the Eagle last week, now Jimmy G. is looking as bad as Mullens did.  Fuck!  Come on, 9ers, lets see some hustle in the 2nd half.

Damn, G-Money just threw another interception!

giving 10 % "discount" for Muslims

No shit?  Hey BayAreaCoins, I was born and raised Muslim (not practicing,) do I qualify?

If you still didn't get it after 11 years operating a gun shop then I recommend to start reading. Just first result out of Google.

I'll see your google results and raise you California's firearm laws.  Let me know once you've pulled your head out of your ass.

Unfortunately your juridical skills are too limited to compete with me.

Okay.  I mean, I only owned and operated my own firearm business for 11 years, and I've been buying and selling firearms (commercial and personal) for decades, but I'll defer to your superior intellect and vast experience on the subject.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The Raiders are less than minutes away from pulling off the biggest upset of the season.  I almost predicted this after KC's first possession, they seem off a bit.  I don't really have a dog in the fight, but I'm still holding a grudge against the Chiefs from February.  Angry

Go Raiders?  Undecided
2694  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request for permanent ban of user BayAreaCoins on: October 11, 2020, 08:12:22 PM
you need to register a firearm business on local level

You're off your rocker, stop making an absolute fool of yourself by talking about shit you don't understand.  Individual sales of firearms in United States is perfectly legal, as long as all trades adhere to local, state, and interstate laws.  For example, I can sell a firearm in my state as long as the transaction is facilitated by licensed dealer (third party.)  Interstate sales are also legal as long as the firearms are shipped to a licensed dealer for transfer within the legal confines of the purchaser's local laws.

If you don't believe me, go tell the ATF that all the registered users of gunbroker.com are violating your interpretation of American firearm laws.

They really need to change the handball rule. Half of the time it's given and the other it isn't.

The current rule seems intended to take the subjectivity out of it, but obviously it's failing.  Miserably.  The ones that irritate me the most are those that are obviously incidental and then penalized.  The Spurs payed a better game and should have come away with three points.  It's always a tragedy when poor officiating affects the outcome of the match.

Wow, what a disgraceful performance of Man City. I can't remember last time when they conceded 5 goals, especially playing at home. And yeah, EPL season is such crazy so far - it's simply impossible to predict such outcomes as we saw in City - Leicester game. Best thing waht you can get from it - point. Terrible round for me, just 3 points so far.
Can't wait for Liverpool - Arsenal game tomorrow - this should be great one. But stil have no idea what result to predict. If I leve it something like 4:3, it definitely will end with score like 1:1 Cheesy.

Yeah, that was a crazy match.  I actually predicted a high-scoring game, but the other way around.  I was rooting for Leicester, that 4th goal by by Maddison was a thing of beauty.  My daughter asked my why I was rooting for Leicester, and I told her it's because Man City is like the Dallas Cowboys of the EPL; I just like watching them lose.

2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 23, 2020, 01:13:51 AM
Well really what happened is the Saints punished themselves...  Not to mention the penalties

129 penalty yards against the saints, absolutely atrocious.  The Raiders looked good, but I wouldn't count on seeing them playing in late January.  Not yet, at least.  They had 375 total yards; 259 passing, and 116 on the ground.  Those are average numbers, certainly not the kind of numbers one would expect to outscore the Saints by 10.  They also seemed to find themselves in quite a few 3rd and long situations, and many wouldn't have gone anywhere if it weren't for the penalties.  Like you said, the Saints beat themselves, and LV kept the self inflicted damage to a minimum.

The  Raiders defense looked pretty darn good though, they held off the Saints after losing that fumble, and kept the offense off the field most of the game.  There was the one drive in the middle of the fourth quarter when they let Breeze pick his way down the field, but other than that they looked pretty solid.

It was good to see the niners take the win, even if it is as much of a gimme as you're likely to get in the NFL.  Garoppolo looked good, despite hobbling around on that right ankle.  His official prognosis is high ankle sprain, likely to keep sidelined next week against the Giants.  It sounds like Solomon Thomas tore an ACL, which means he's out for the season.  That's not good for the defense.

Watching the Pats at Seattle right now, it's been an entertaining game.  I still can't believe Cam Newton is a Patriot, I still find myself expecting TB12.

I only just learned about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death this morning.  I wish peace for her family, and all those who are mourning in their time of sorrow.

Although I've frequently found myself at ideological odds with her votes on the supreme court, I can't help be proud when reflecting on her career.  As an American conservative who believes that all men and women are naturally granted certain inalienable rights, as equals, I consider her a champion of civil rights, and women's influence on politics.  Her contributions should be celebrated by all Americans, regardless of their political leanings.  As should her amazing, accomplished, and distinguished life.

Rest in peace, RBG.  You served America with a true heart, and the whole world is better off for it.
