I don't think it was an inside job. From what I understand, he basically flooded the server and got the site to accept a decrypted server seed which was already known instead of a new encrypted server seed and this way he knew the results of all the bets beforehand.
I am not telling that it was an inside job, but at that time it looked like an inside job by the way in which he clearly knew how the system worked but if i remember correctly i think the person behind Hufflepuff tested the platform during their trial mode run and that is how he figured out how the system worked and he took a chance and he found that the team did not change those settings when the site went online. Only Stunna and the team can verify that as it was a long time back and i do think that is what Stunna said during that time.
2682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rising, Scams Rising on: May 20, 2019, 12:16:10 PM
It is sad that for people in the media any scam that uses Bitcoin as the medium of exchange or currency is labeled as Bitcoin scam but when a scam is using the fiat money it is not in anyway called as the Dollar scam.

Have you been a victim of an elaborate cryptocurrency-related scam that cost you some money? Please share some details here so we can all learn from each other's mistakes...
It is a fact that any scams done with bitcoin is terms as bitcoin scams and when it comes to fiat it is generally termed as scam, the common people who are not following the market might think that all the scams are done with bitcoin and it might be a hurdle to break that illusion but people who understand the market knows that people are taking advantage of the platform to scam innocent people who are trying to maximize the profit by investing in ponzi and scam investments.
I am a realist and i will never trust anyone who claim that they can multiply my coins for free, i will use my brain before investing rather than thinking from my bottom  Tongue Cheesy.
2683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 20, 2019, 10:03:27 AM
now we are back at 8000$ after this dip , the market has almost recovered
this proves that the bull market is strong and there is a potential to see figures way above 10.000$ this year
of course , this can change any moment as we saw yesterday
it only took 5000 bitcoins sold to drive the markets down across all of the exchanges
but no matter what happens this year , bitcoin proved yet again to be one of the most lucrative assets to invest into - now 100%+ growth in less than two months , from 4000$ to 8000$
The market recovery is really strong and the past few months were the golden recovery days for the market as no one expected this kind of recovery in a short span of time, i do not see this as a bull run yet, but the market is showing good signs to cross the $10000 by the end of this year, if the price crosses to soon then we will see a correction in the mean time, just want to see the market recovering in phase which is a healthy way to go.
That being said if there is a big rally this time around we might even touch the trillion dollar market, but how long we will hold those position is yet to be seen.
2684  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance lost $40.7 million to hackers, which exchange is next!!! on: May 20, 2019, 07:53:17 AM
Binance API keys have problem and this is the first time they accepted it. There API keys were hacked earlier too.

https://hackernoon.com/how-your-trading-api-keys-can-be-used-to-drain-your-funds-f9148d1e6d33

https://coingape.com/binance-hacked-or-syscoin-blockchain-compromised/
This is a fucked up revelation by CZ who was promoting and encouraging everyone to keep their coins in the exchange as it is super safe, he should be prosecuted for the mishandling of things and not revealing their security problems to the public, if they really knew that earlier and never reported it to its users, it is a crime to begin with, i am not going back to that exchange in the near future.

2686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs Breazeale - May 18 on: May 19, 2019, 12:53:16 PM
Breazeale is a bum, it was always going to be an easy win for Wilder. The fight everybody wants is Wilder vs Joshua but I think Wilder vs Fury will happen first.
Wilder always faces bums to pack his win column, the old legit fighter he faced was an aging Luis Ortiz and it went till the tenth round and we all know what happened in the Tyson Fury fight, he was out boxed the entire fight and even after that knock out punch he was getting starched, he is looking for Joshua as he is the money fight and i am not sure he will face Fury again  Cheesy.
2687  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 29 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: May 19, 2019, 11:41:02 AM
Yes the hacker was a guy called Hufflepuff and at first everybody was amazed at his luck and then it took them a while to realise that the guy actually cheated.

If you got some spare time, there is a summary in this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=843892.0

The videos are still working on Youtube and looking at the videos it looks like legit bets actually. Pretty crazy with the amount of BTC that the guy ran off with. Was a huge blow to the site and the gambling industry back then.
The bets looked legit because Hufflepuff figured out to get the server side seed and that means he could understand what value will come next before rolling and primedice took some time to figure out the security loop hole, it looked like an inside job by the way the hacker figured how to get the combination of server client seed and nonce, but Stunna later explained that he did not run away with all the coins he won through that loop hole but he ran away with a huge amount either way.
2688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reached 8000 - and what next? on: May 19, 2019, 09:08:12 AM
May be $10k then $15k or $20k. I would not surprise if it cross $30k too.
Or may be $3k again?
It does not matter what the price is if you are a long hodler.
The price is really volatile and the support level looks promising and the price is soaring, a few days i thought the market would retract when we saw the market going down sharply but then the market is recovering in a short period of time which looks promising as the market looks really strong at this point, the price does matter even if you are a long time holder if you are looking to extract the maximum profit.
2689  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban Appeal] - erguse - a big injustice :( on: May 17, 2019, 11:32:12 AM
I thought I explained the above. They were the posts I had the same opinion. I've been here for six years. I'm banned with 4-5 messages. That's just unfair. Is it my fault that I can't speak English enough? I'm even writing that with google translate. During this time, I posted 951 posts. In 5,5 years. 900 of them are on the TR forum. Sometimes it is necessary to write in the English forum. Instead of using Google, I've shared the views of people who I think are right. 5 posts in 951 posts. You don't know, get 10. I'm trying to help users as much as I can on the TR forum. I'm the one who searched and answered the messages.

I still think this is unfair. I didn't steal anybody's research information. I did not buy a BCT account for money, I did not sell. If this account isn't open, I'm not thinking about buying it.

Until I was 36 years old, I was always upright against injustice. I'm telling you one more time. Still, I think it's unfair for 6 years and 951 posts.
This forum is really open to any legit conversation, no one is forcing you to speak in English if you are not familiar with the language and you can spent your time in your local board and keep on conversing in the language you are familiar with, if thousands or ten thousands of users are banned in the past  because of Plagiarism and if the admins unblock you, will that be unfair to all the users that were blocked.
So fair and unfair differ from person to person according to their convenience Tongue.
2690  Economy / Services / Re: Lost password from bitcoin core. Help is needed. Award 3 btc on: May 17, 2019, 11:16:05 AM
I have sent you email. please check sir  Smiley
I'm an honest person and won't scam you, and can pay when my work is done  Smiley
Your trust summary says otherwise mate, have you ever recovered any wallets before, if so post the details you have done to help someone recover the accounts.
The only realistic solution is to write down your known passwords and ask someone else's help so that you can run a script with many combinations and if you are lucky you can unlock your coins. Even if someone send you something make sure you scan them before opening it and try to recover yourself as you really do not need to be a tech savvy to try that.
2691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Consensus pump is real on: May 16, 2019, 12:21:11 AM
We reached $8000 in the past few days leading to the conference. I remember last year everyone was hopeful about it, but the bear market spared no one. This time we have Bakkt announcements and all kinds of stuff I saw outlined here: https://cryptobriefing.com/nobody-will-sell-bitcoin-8000/

It's probably going to correct a bit, but the rise is real.
The rise is a bit too early in my opinion, i never expected the market to recover this quickly and touch $8k in a short period of time, we have seen many situations in the past but this rise is well above anything that i encounter in this market, the bear market was much longer and i never expected that decline nor the rally in 2017, the market surprises everyone all the time and that is the case this time too.
2692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinGecko is introducing "Trust Score" to combat fake exchange volume on: May 15, 2019, 09:29:46 PM
That's some good stuff. Though unfortunately since majority are still geared towards CoinMarketCap, I don't think this makes that much of an impact. It's a step forward though; I just wish they'd do a re-make on their UI.
Majority of the users see coinmarketcap as the ultimate source of all the information, but the volumes they are showing are fake for a very long time. Initially the fake volumes by the Chinese exchanges and since they are closed we do not see them posting those huge volumes but now we have fake volumes in majority of the exchanges. Thanks Coingecko for the initiative and i would like to know how you are going to determine these volumes if the exchange starts creating fake order books to get a good score.
2693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whales = high fees on: May 15, 2019, 08:27:02 PM
If you are moving 100s of BTC around then you don't mind paying $2 transaction fee to get it done quick.  You can afford it.  It hurts the rest of us though as we can't.  Btc will always be at the mercy of the whales.
So lets analyze your situation, if you are planning to send $2 worth of bitcoin and you are not ready to spent the same valuation in transaction fees, you have the freedom to set a transaction value of your choice at a much lower valuation but you have to wait for a longer time, never expect everything at the same time, with lightning network coming up you can have more freedom with the transaction fees if your plan is to send micro transactions all the time.
2694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit is a thief. on: May 15, 2019, 03:55:45 PM
I have heard a lot of allegations about Yobit which is really disappointing. Yobit has a good reputation until things got worse. People are now aware that it's risky to use it anymore. It's a good thing that we are informing people about scam exchanges.
It is not a new thing, there were running these scams a few years back too, they will list any coins if you give them money and they allow fake volumes and hype in the chat and when you invest in them, the coin is dropped back to one satoshi and no more buy orders, i got scammed like that well back in 2015 if i remember correctly and you will see that all the time and Yobit will not warn any of the investors as they do not look for their safety, they just want the money and they will do anything for that.
2695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India declines Bitcoin Legalization Again on: May 15, 2019, 03:25:14 PM
Their problem is lack of understanding of the new technology, many third world nations like my, have always be backward when it come to new technologies, so, never blame them (Indian Government) for their inability to understand the technology, but one thing is certain: Nobody can Ban Bitcoin, Kill Bitcoin, becasue Bitcoins is a technology.
It is a basic problem for these third world countries, they do not know how to generate new jobs and technology but they oppose innovation too and so is the reason they are not coming forward in terms of economic growth and still termed as a third world country, the main thing they do not understand is that they cannot ban it and if people wanted to trade them they will find a solution, i know India does have a lot of IT experts and why don't the government ask their help in reaching a solution on what to do with it Roll Eyes.
2696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WERE YOUR STOLEN BITCOINS EVER RETURNED???? on: May 14, 2019, 06:12:45 PM
I know once you are scammed and robbed, its hard to reverse the Bitcoin Transaction ! But any of you were ever scammed and were returned your bitcoins by the scammers ! This is not a great topic but was curious if there is a Robinhood in the scammers ! Guys I meant scammers, few mine bitcoins few use their hard earned moeny to buy bitcoins, please dont grab away from the innocent souls !!
What do you think, people are scamming and robbing people because they took inspiration from Robin Hood tales, the only thing you have to understand is that all these scammers and robbers are pissing at your inability to identify what is true and what is fiction, the greed to make more money without any effort is what these scammers are taking advantage and you really think that they will return what they scammed, for them they hard worked for that money to fool you.
2697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: May 14, 2019, 02:28:49 PM
It's hard to believe that BTC will hit  10K after a bottom of 3.1K, without some kind of correction along the way.
This would be more than 300% rise...?
The way in which the market is breaking every resistance just blows my mind, if you look at the stock market a few days back the market was crashing because of the economic trade war going on with Iran and China and i am not sure whether it has any significance in the price of bitcoin moving higher, either way it is a good time for all the bitcoin investors, we might see a small correction in the mean time but never expect a big dip like we saw in the stock market at this stag, either way it was an unexpected rise to these levels in a short period of time and hopefully will stay like this till the halving next year.
2698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will SEC never approve Bitcoin ETF? on: May 14, 2019, 01:56:10 PM
ETF is still in the process for either it will be approved or not, what ever the result for their discussions we don't have nothing to do is to accept it.
I'd never think that ETF's approval create another drama and I'll do positive that it will help to bring market flown again and sustain its potentiality.
I seriously did not understand the core substance what you are trying to say here other than the market might create another drama if ETF is approved, if you are not aware of it, the drama of ETF approvals are going on for a long time and there was a time when the market used to move higher just because we are having a hearing from the SEC about the approval, but now the market does not care about any of those, we will have the ETF approved at a later time but do not expect that anytime soon.
2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Whales May Be Behind The Current Bitcoin Surge on: May 13, 2019, 09:36:12 PM
Figures from wallet transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain suggest that a few crypto whales may be behind the current Bitcoin surge. For the first time since August 2018, the world’s pioneer cryptocurrency made its way past the $7,000 price point.
When ever the market valuation goes high, i see the same news coming up again and again, there is only two ways for this news, either the whales are behind the rally or they are not, but always the topics start with a speculative tune as they may be behind the current surge in price, even if there are certain people with huge amount manipulating the market for their gains you really cannot control a multi billion dollar market just because of some whales.
2700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of these hacks? on: May 13, 2019, 02:20:46 PM
As I remember correctly (post if I am wrong) Binance CEO was suggesting people to hold their coins on most trustworthy exchange and in this situation he was paying attention to binance. Overally suggested people to trust binance and hold their coins here.
But recently there was a hack and 7000btc were stolen. So what was the point?
1. Binance has good security system and this hack is false, they just wanted to give a bad reputation to cryptocurrencies (this work comes from governments and financial institutes) because now there will be a rain of articles about how bad crypto world is, how unsecure it is and etc.
2. They are stupid and really had security issues
If someone or a team of hackers could withdraw a huge amount of bitcoin and they could not flag those big withdrawals without being identified how can anyone call them secure, CZ was a fool who gave everyone false promises and like to be in the media often with his challenges and the way in which he handled the hack as if it is nothing major and then trying for a roll back as if it was some shitty altcoin   Roll Eyes.
The only solution is, never trust any exchanges or third party wallets, store your coins with you where you hold the private key.
