2681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: December 28, 2016, 08:21:37 AM
Hey guys I'm not sure if this is the right place so please tell me if it is not. With that out of the way, I have a question for you all. I have recently been able to gather about .5 btc through minor trading and I was wondering if there was any method or way to grow this btc into a larger amount safely and fairly quickly. Thanks!

Actually there's no need to do anything,Bitcoin grows by itself but if you want to really make a profit out of your bitcoin, you can loan people who are in need of bitcoin, there's a loan section here, trading is risky you can lose all your bitcoin if you pick the wrong coin to buy.
Giving out loans is just as risky as trading. It might even be riskier since you have no idea who are the people that you're giving loans while in trading you can sell your coin when the price starts to drop. There has been a lot of discussion about giving loans in this forum and mostly it's because of the collateral. I checked the people that has given out loans for a long time and the stats of the people that has paid them is actually quite good. But upon checking the whole thread, they are actually really picky on choosing people to give loans. It's not a quick way to earn bitcoins but it's a good way to do so if you know how to choose the right people.

well with lending there are ways to reduce the risk and even to reduce it to nearly zero risk. for example you can check the history of who you are giving the loan to as your first step.
the second step which is the most important is to ask for a valid collateral and if you get something worth 10% more than the loaned amount you have nothing to worry about.
2682  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: December 28, 2016, 08:12:44 AM
simple answer from me , because for invesment
bitcoin is real invesment..
Yes true, bitcoin is the most profitable investment. Everyone knows, the current investment is slow-moving even fell, bank interest only 7% per year, so people choose emptying their bank account and choose bitcoin.

7% ? isn't it a bit high? may i ask what is the inflation rate in your country.

anyways, if we are only considering bitcoin as an investment then it has been performing pretty good compared to other investments that are available to us. and it is one of the safest ways to store money.

and another big reason for buying bitcoin, is to use bitcoin as a currency which most people overlook. bitcoin is actually a very good currency when you start using it.
2683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Once we hit $1000, how far will BTC drop? on: December 28, 2016, 08:05:15 AM
my prediction is that after $1000 there will be a drop and it is even possible to see some FUDsters start working hard again and we may see a drop back to $900 but the good news is that whenever this happens in any market there will be a much bigger rise. which means $1200 right after.
2684  Economy / Services / Re: Who's the richest Cryptocurrency trader in this thread? Who has the most BTC? on: December 28, 2016, 08:00:33 AM
the rich people and those who are good at trading are not hanging around here and certainly won't waste their time teaching others unless they want to have someone who they can dump on.

the solution is to learn "how to trade" not "hot to trade bitcoin". that way you learn a lot more and you can find so many different resources and you may find legit teachers or even courses in real world teaching trading and all there is to know about it.
and the rest is only experience which you have to build on your own.
2685  Economy / Speculation / Re: We all gonna be filthy rich and here is why: on: December 25, 2016, 11:54:19 AM
all of the early adopters are going to be filthy rich and it is all about when you get in. if you got in back in 2009 you could have gained $1200 per coin, if 2014-2015 you could have gained $700 per coin and if 2016 you could have gained ~$300 and so on.

and soon there will be a day when people are going to regret not getting in today either because price is going to be 10K Cheesy
2686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Monero's GUI is out, what will people complain about next? on: December 25, 2016, 11:44:21 AM
people are going to always complain and spread their nonsense about anything. most of the time it is because of being buthurt and the rest of the time it is mostly because they want to spread some FUD to enjoy some panic sells Cheesy
2687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is anyone interested in learning how to trade bitcoin for a living? on: December 25, 2016, 11:35:10 AM
that must be a trick question, because everyone would be interested in that, now, is it legit?

does anyone have heard or used this site, wikitrader Huh, i would like to know opinions about it of people using it ....

Yes, I too have the same question. Has anyone tried.? He said only 10 people and the people who want to join will be in thousands for sure.  Huh
Learned many things from wikitrader but don't know it's authenticity yet.

i don't see OP mentioning the site which freemanjackal is asking about, and OP is a throwaway account made only to advertise that link of his and possibly get some people send him an email to scam them out of their money.

and to answer freemanjackal, no i have not heard of it and if it is a "wiki" really and you like its content then use it, and if it is offering more and it looks shady to you then stay away, it is easy!
2688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DDoS on bitcoin nodes? on: December 25, 2016, 11:29:49 AM
a bitcoin node is also a computer with a public IP address and DDoS is (simply put) flooding that link to that computer so it can no longer give service to anything else (deny services) so yeah i believe it should be possible.

why do you ask?

2689  Economy / Economics / Re: What Cryptocurrency to buy right now? on: December 25, 2016, 11:22:57 AM
I'm new in the forum and I'd like to buy some cryptocoins. Right now I had thought about buying some Doge but someone has recommended me not to buy Doge at the moment.

What do you think? What's the best coin to buy right now? Bitcoin, Doge, Litecoin, Reddcoin, Lisk, Ethereum,...
It won't be to speculate, but as a store of value.

if the bold part is what you seek then stay away from all the alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins) because they are only for speculation and trading.

if you want to use something as store of value then look for Gold, or even Real Estate!
if you insist on investing in something crypto related then don't think about anything other than "bitcoin" and remember that bitcoin price is still risky.
2690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices could leap to $2000 in 2017? on: December 25, 2016, 11:16:21 AM
we can never be sure about the next high price in 2017 and certainly we can not talk about $2000 at this point because it is too far away and is in uncharted waters!

but one thing is for sure, and that is the fact that we will see $1000+ next year and it may be a long and slow rise but it will rise steadily throughout next year.
2691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So you thought Bitcoin is dead, huh? NEVER! on: December 25, 2016, 11:11:44 AM
bitcoin didn't crash, it is not technically correct to say that the same way it is never right to say bitcoin is dead or going to die.
what happened was a bubble and like any other market in the whole world when a bubble takes shape, there is always a burst coming after it and none of those bubble bursts in other markets are called "crash" so it shouldn't be called crash here either.

and about being dead or going to die, yeah i have been saying it is bullshit when price was down and am still saying it when price went up nothing has changed bitcoin is still strong.
2692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holy crap heading past $1,000 !!! on: December 24, 2016, 12:40:32 PM
You international market have been still waiting to see the price going past $1000 , right now the high was i think approx $940 it came,

but On November 2nd week in indian exchange we have seen the price of Bitcoin touching %1000+ but that time international market price was only $720 due to Demonetization of currency Bitcoin price touched so high and i have sold it and right back i got purchased and took the profit. and now back i am going to enjoy it high price.

Ya it is true that last month itself we Indians have witnessed the bitcoin price touching $1000 and it was due to 500 and 1000 currency getting banned due to curbing illegal activities off fake notes. But right now what price is going is the real one that price was just fake due to currency problem in India

the price that were being reported from India and 1000 USD was from localbitcoins and that is the reason why it even went that high because they don't have many proper exchanges. as far as i know there is only one and most people are not even trading there, they use localbitcoins and on LB prices are always much higher than market price. so since the demand went up suddenly in India sellers there took advantage and put up a much higher price. and it didn't last much either!
2693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins worth investing on: December 24, 2016, 12:32:19 PM
How do you guys select the ones with the potential?
What sites do you check?
What are your criteria?
Do you have some system?

I believe you have incentive to share this information because more of us invest in one coin, more the price is. Smiley

there really isn't a magical answer to your questions that you ask here that can help you 100% of the time and help with 100% certainty. the best you can get is always less than 10% Cheesy

and to be honest i am mostly looking for some kind of news around the internet that may lead to a pump and other times i am investing in good altcoins that have either potential like litecoin and monero or trade the pump and dump coins like etehreum short term for profit.

but my main investment is always going to be bitcoin.
2694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: December 24, 2016, 12:26:31 PM
What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?

well i have always been selling and then buying back again and this time is going to be no different.

i always have some coins in my cold storage and from that stash i always sell some portion when the price goes really high and does it fast and then buy it back at a correction and move the initial amount with the earned profit back to the cold storage making it bigger and bigger each time i do this.
2695  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: December 24, 2016, 12:18:40 PM
the way bitcoin is by design gives it power and all the rest such as regulation, adoption, ... are only contributing to a potential that is not yet found.

and actually this is the only reason why bitcoin could have survived all these years and with all these attacks thrown at it by the banks, .... so many FUD and it is still going on strong.
2696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: December 24, 2016, 12:12:53 PM
Well, some countries dont support the bitcoin because they find it a real threat on their business but also a threat on their security. Bitcoin can be use for any forms of crimes like money laundering. Ransomware also use bitcoin for receiving ransom money. Also they cannot control bitcoin because its a decentralize internet money.

there are only one or two countries that have strict rules against bitcoin in their law. and there are so many others (mostly developing countries) that do not have any idea that bitcoin exist or know but since it is not really being used there, nobody cares much about it.
and the big countries that matter are already bitcoin friendly and that is what counts these days for bitcoin and its future.
2697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where are we? on: December 24, 2016, 12:04:58 PM

The current situation is starting to feel a lot like the big run up in nov/dec 2013. But where are we at right now?

i strongly disagree with this chart what you imply here.
first of all we are not at the end of that line that your chart ends. we have returned to the mean (dashed line) and we have been there for a while now if you look at a bitcoin chart and then the situation right now is nothing like 2013 and we are far off from it. because the mean has gone up, so the top if you want to look at them similarly is also higher somewhere above $2000 and we get there then you are right we are back to 2013 bubble.
2698  Economy / Speculation / Re: People should use MBITS now ......... on: December 24, 2016, 11:57:39 AM
that is completely right but also usually when people are complaining about not being able to afford 1 whole bitcoin in fact they are complaining about missing out because of being ignorant. in other words they are complaining to themselves for missing the chance to buy bitcoin when the rest of us were thinking ahead and buying cheap.
2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: December 22, 2016, 11:25:47 AM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors.

do you actually have some reliable reference for this?
or are you saying this because you saw some popular topics in this board filled with hundreds of comment?

Quote
Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

of course bitcoin is not made for that.
it is a currency first of all and that makes it the same as any other currency, people use them to pay for all kinds of things. you can pay for your bills or buy drugs with both USD and BTC. not much difference there.

I have seen thousands of posts and comments regarding uses of bitcoin in  porn and gambling. You can find it in this forum with minimum effort too. I know bitcoin has great potentials and I also know that there are some bad user of bitcoin like any other currency. But my point is, those bad users are a lot in number. And as bitcoin is not globally adopted, those users really play great impact on impression of btc, I guess

yeah i am also well aware of the fact that the illegal usage of bitcoin (or bad if you want to call it) exists and many are using it.
but for porn! there actually is no major porn site that accepts bitcoin until today. there are some random live cams which were advertising in here and most of those topics like this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=957629.0
are filled with their spam and other signature spammers.

and about drugs and dark net, these days it is mostly Monero that is being used there not bitcoin because of the anonymity that XMR offers instead of BTC!

in my opinion the majority of usage people get from bitcoin is only as an investment and for trading. then the second place is for payment and third with close rank is gambling. the rest are a very small percentage.
2700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me (again) that ETH is not manipulated by the whales on: December 22, 2016, 11:18:36 AM
Need I say more?

nice catch and posting here. good job,
but it really doesn't matter how many times you say it, again people are going to start falling for all the bullshit in a short while and buy into the whales sell orders and get dumped on.

and when they decide to pump ethereum again they wait for bitcoin rise to stop like every other time so far then they are going to pay someone else like Gavin Andereson like last time to start talking crap about bitcoin and praise ethereum,.... and you know the rest.
