1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy now or sell? on: September 15, 2017, 08:51:33 AM
What's actually happening with bitcoin? Market is collapsing hugely. Is this the better time to buy or sell?
i think it is neither. it is best to watch the market only. the direction is not at all clear. there should not be any more drop but yet there it is out of nowhere, whales dumping now since there is no more weak hands left to shake out anymore.

Quote
And will it goes under 2000 or 1000? If so should we buy then? Suggestions would be helpful
under 1000 is just not possible some irreparable damage needed to go that low!
below $2000 is also the same story in my opinion. there is no reason for that either. it is just Chinese regulating their exchanges more! this reason must not have even caused a drop this big.
1722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? on: September 15, 2017, 08:45:04 AM
Was already published any official news about China's ban? Have we only rumours?

Maybe they want to ban only scam coins. I don't know why you selling like that if there is no official news.
there was an official news from day 1 but they never let it be heard. they hide it as well as they could and filled the internet with FUD.

the official news was about banning ICOs and regulating exchanges.
and that is exactly what they are doing now they are regulating exchanges like they did a couple of months ago.

Quote
But where do you think the bottom is? Is possible to any altcoin falls to a few cents?
yes it is possible and even more. altcoins are much more fragile because of their pump and dump nature and the current dropping market is not kind to any of them.
1723  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin return to its glory? Will it sink more? on: September 15, 2017, 08:35:51 AM
bitcoin glory is its adoption and usage as a currency not its price and that has been increasing day by day. unfortunately the price is also an important part of bitcoin and because of how bitcoin exchanges work and because of the type of investors in bitcoin, the price can be easily manipulated like this.

the market is small and full of newbies who create the weak hands. certain people just keep getting richer using these newbies.
1724  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value going below $3000, WTF? on: September 15, 2017, 08:22:14 AM
it is impossible to say. there is a heavy manipulation going on right now by the whales with the help of the media. they used the Chinese simple regulation to make the news big in the media and turned into a huge FUD and caused a lot of panic.

in the past few months bitcoin has been growing a lot and attracted a lot of fresh money and all of these newcomers have little idea about these type of manipulation and they easily panic.

logically it stops at some point as they run out of money and manipulation becomes harder but where it would be impossible to tell. it depends on the market maker's decision Grin
1725  Economy / Speculation / Re: why is the price dropping? where is the logic please read! on: September 15, 2017, 08:16:30 AM
it is partly because price has been rising too fast in a short time and partly because people don't understand that rising fast like bitcoin did was completely normal.

and then it is the sell pressure caused by the panic that is being spread all over the social media. it is propaganda against bitcoin price. and a well planned strategy of making a lot of money from the drop while others are panic selling at a loss.
1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China to close all bitcoin exchanges by end-September: Yicai on: September 15, 2017, 08:10:56 AM
this is great news but i hoped they did it sooner than later because the sooner we get this chapter in bitcoin's history over with the sooner we can get back on track with other more important things.

Chinese drama is just a distraction that is preventing us from moving on with important matters such as more adoption. these days everyone is just talking about price all day long!
1727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more profitable, trading in Crypto coins or trading in stock market?? on: September 12, 2017, 09:08:50 AM
Which is more profitable, trading in Bitcoin/Altcoins or trading in stock market?? I have some bitter experience trading in stock market, and I am some what new to this Crypto trading, so please share your thoughts.  Huh

there is no correct answer to this question actually. because it depends on you and you alone. profitability is not completely a market dependent thing. you may earn a lot in one market and nothing in another.

for example i have friends that are working in Stocks market, so i have also tried it and was never successful.
i tried bitcoin trading and i was more successful than before.
but then tried altcoins and i was really successful. but others prefer stocks still.

try them yourself with some small amount of money and see if you like things and how successful you can possibly be. then make your decision.
1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about altcoins. on: September 12, 2017, 08:59:17 AM
Will altcoins be much better than Bitcoins?
the altcoins that are alive today? no. there is very little chance of that happening. they are not offering anything different or if they do, that difference is causing more issues than it fixes things.

Quote
Will the currency be good? than Bitcoins? or its just the same?
so far they have not been any good or better than bitcoin or even remotely close to bitcoin. and i don't see any reason to believe this can change anytime soon!

Quote
Can altcoins be directly converted to money?
some of them yes, most of them no.
1729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has Crypto currency reached its maximum market cap? on: September 12, 2017, 08:51:17 AM
BTC is most probably being the dominant chain, but nothing is certain.
bitcoin is the dominant cryptocurrency and will remain dominant because it has real usages!
apart from being an investment that you make money from you can use it in real world in real shops to purchase real goods just like a currency.

you can not say the same for the rest.

Quote
Also, factor one thing that everybody forgets (including similar analyses from the press): the explosion of the crypto-technology market cap will happen with corporate development: big companies using the blockchain.
it depends on what you mean.
big companies usually use "blockchain" as the technology for their own thing and create their own separate blockchain.
this lacks the decentralization factor and nobody cares about it.

but if it is big companies such as Amazon adopt "bitcoin" then it is very different.

Quote
I state the obvious, but the non-obvious is that a significant part of this economy may be untouchable for standard investors like you and I:
A/ being on private chains (still counting in the total market cap)
B/ investment limited to "accredited investors" only

Point A limits the BTC marketcap.
again you are forgetting that market cap for cryptocurrencies is completely meaningless!
being private or not private has nothing to do with it. the number of coins they release and the price they set for it changes the market cap.
look at ripple which is the most "private" of all and you will see.
1730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korean Court Rules Confiscation of Bitcoins Illegal on: September 12, 2017, 08:40:24 AM
what kind of "Rule" is this!
is it possible that the linked website just made some mistakes in translations. of course it wouldn't be the first time they publish something vague and misunderstood like this! maybe this "Rule" has some attachments and "ifs and buts" in it that is not being mentioned in that link.

in any case saying "...since it has not physical form..." is not enough reason! world has turned digital a long time ago, or maybe South Korean didn't get the memo Smiley
1731  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Trend on: September 10, 2017, 05:47:02 AM
the long term trend is always up and there is nothing that can change that as long as bitcoin is alive and it is alive and kicking and getting more lively with SegWit followed by Lightning Network.

in short term you will always see fluctuations. sometimes hard ups and downs. for the time being the FUD about China is strong and there may be more drop but at the same time, there can be another news that changes the direction at any time and change the trend into a rising one with a lot of FOMO buying!

the same investors who panic sell will always panic buy too.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: trading altcoins with BTC "OR" USDT ! on: September 10, 2017, 05:43:04 AM
HEY ,i have noticed that i'd make more money if i trade altcoin with USDT
no, you make money if you make a successful trade. it doesn't matter what you use to trade with. it can be USD, USDT, LTC, CNY, or grains of salt Smiley

Quote
as it's stable and equivalent to usd ,
USDT (Tether) is neither stable nor equivalent to USD!
read their website explaining it if you don't believe it.
and you can also check out the price history and see all the big dips!

Quote
so i can get my calculations .
calculations can be done with anything. you just need amount before and after a trade.

Quote
on the other hand trading with btc isn't that much profitable or sometimes not profitable at all if btc price gone down , so why most people trade with btc !
trading with BTC is the most profitable of all since bitcoin price rises in long term.
and also when bitcoin price goes down all the other altcoins will go down with it. it doesn't matter if you trade with USDT, the price of the altcoin will go down against that too and USDT can tank hard and you lose twice.
1733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who wants to see the price go down? on: September 10, 2017, 05:23:40 AM
i think everyone wants price to go down so they can buy a little more bitcoin than they could buy before. but some of these people have unrealistic expectations out of a dip and will be left behind.

let me give you an example;
when price up to $2500+ and things were exactly like now, many were expecting unrealistic drops down to $1500 or even back to $1000 levels. you can see today that all of them were disappointed and were left behind. but those who were more realistic and bought at $1990-$2100 range have now doubled their money.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you read news to be up-to-date with what's affecting $ of Bitcoin/Altc on: September 10, 2017, 05:09:32 AM
usually this forum, reddit and also coindesk. but one of the biggest problems that bitcoin/altcoin news have is that these so called news sites are not really ran by professionals. all of them are a bunch of greedy people who have created a "website" in order to make money from it. and in order to make money from a news website you have to publish crap and exaggerate the hell out of it.

you can see the example of it in the recent "China banned bitcoin" lie this week.
1735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FAKE CHINESE NEWS, DO NOT SELL FROM FEAR, HODL TO THE MOON on: September 09, 2017, 10:04:43 AM
Why are you guys calling this fake news? If China wants to get rid of exchanges I don't see what is stopping them or how this is fake news to drive down the price. I mean, I guess it makes sense to do that. I don't think it is unrealistic for China to shut down their exchanges.

because the news says "China is going to ban all cryptocurrencies including bitcoin". which is a big ass lie.
the reality of the news like always is to regulate it and set certain rules of these unregulated and illegal exchanges to make them legal and also prevent things like money laundering which is pretty common among them.

a couple of months ago there was the same news saying China regulating exchanges but it was interpreted as China banning bitcoin!!!

in the end it is all a game to toy with the price and buy cheap coins and make profit which was otherwise impossible to make!
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 80% of all alt coins in negative % change at the moment on: September 09, 2017, 09:53:59 AM
it is a dumping epidemic which always starts with bitcoin Smiley
the fear that China creates is always fake but effective. it causes ripples like this in the market that drops every price. 10% bitcoin drop is always >20% drop of altcoins.

I think so. But the dump has slowed. The price is recovering now.

it is actually fluctuating a lot. it is not slowed down if you look at the charts it goes up and down.
most probably it will continue to be like this until the real news comes out.
1737  Economy / Economics / Re: China Will Kill Bitcoin: A Conspiracy Theory on: September 09, 2017, 09:45:12 AM
i don't know why you keep creating topics like these in different boards but it seems like you have put too much faith in one country and what its government does! if bitcoin someday gets affected by the government of one country while others are accepting it, then bitcoin is not bitcoin anymore!

yes China is big and there are a lot of traders there but what you say seems to be assuming that the millions of people who are involved in bitcoin from all over the world apart from China are nothing and count to nothing!
1738  Economy / Speculation / Re: China Closing Doors Equals Death of Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2017, 09:38:20 AM
what's up with that title man?

first of all China is not closing any doors. they are just regulating bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies like any other country has done and will do.

secondly in worse case scenario only China goes out of the picture if they really "close some doors". and you seem to have forgotten that bitcoin does not belong to a "country" it is a peer to peer cryptocurrency and as long as these "peers" are alive bitcoin remains alive.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency Ban in China on: September 09, 2017, 09:29:01 AM
nothing, just one country out of ~190 countries in the world will start to fall behind the rest of the world because the rest are adopting bitcoin every day and have already started regulating bitcoin like Japan did earlier this year.

as for price, there may be some turbulence for a short time, less than 2 weeks probably and then things will be back to normal as if nothing had happened!
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto going Banned in China? Bitcoin going Illegal? on: September 08, 2017, 02:29:03 PM
I hope they will not try to Ban all crypto coins in China.

i hope they DO BAN all crypto in China including bitcoin. it will be once and for all and we will get rid of them for good!

i am honestly sick and tired of hearing about news coming from China that always spikes FUD and causes bitcoin price to swing around wildly. if there was reality to these swings i wouldn't have been as mad.

some bullshit rises from China and panic sellers start giving away their bitcoin to whales instead of taking the cheap coins from whales. and we have all seen where each of these panic sells end up...
