It was originally a mod for Armed Assault 2 which has now been turned into a full game using the Armed Assault 3 engine, personally I like it, but it's not to everyones taste an is in Alpha right now.
I also have arma 2 with it, but it's still hard as fuck to do anything.. I never find any items when I play it. It really pisses me off.

Hahahahahhh Cheesy you need to look at some tutorials, what you need to do is go to the obvious places where you'd find things RL, supermarkets, big houses, police stations and industrial areas, you can also find things in barns and stuff, there's of course airfields as well where you can often find military gear but those tend to have bandits.
2704  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you bought something that you regret? on: November 27, 2014, 10:37:55 AM
I thought the litecoin was going to be next big thing so I bought r9 280x, 7950 graphic cards along with other computer stuff (spent over 2 grand) and sadly, I have turned it on twice.
Do you still have it? I mean, I don't have any hardware and would love to experiment with it. Lol, I mean if you don't have any other use for it.

And I bought DayZ...it sucks ass.

I still have it but not sure if I'm willing to give away for free
I'll give you my steam account with DayZ, xD. And if it's just gathering dust... Smiley

what is DayZ? I have no idea what that is

People's knowledge about market is improving... It's not too far away they will start to sue the fiat money Wink

Suing these people isn't going to do a damn thing, unfortunately we're probably going to need a revolution.
2707  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Was The Last Game You Bought? on: November 26, 2014, 09:02:48 PM
Cool Fifa 14  .........aiting to buy 15.

Let me know how it is. I am thinking about buying FIFA 15 as well.

Sorry, I'll make a small list of the companies I won't buy from anymore to help you:

Electronic Arts

Ubisoft

Activision

Blizzard

Sony Online Entertainment

Actually, it's really only these five companies that have managed to piss me off so much lately, I don't like Valve's DRM but at least it works most of the time and I just avoid those stupid freemium games that are blatantly spawning everywhere so meh but the amount of destruction in the games industry they've caused is ridiculous considering.

Can you explain how they pissed you off and why you won't buy from them anymore? Details on each company would be awesome.

Seriously? Well you asked for it Tongue

Electronic Arts - Infested games with DRM, were pushing for very invasive always-online DRM until they were shut down by a lawsuit ( yes this actually happened ), they bought out games companes that were much more successful and popular than they were like Bioware or Westwood Studios and then shat all over their franchises, they are general douchebags and forum nazis the people who are in this company genuinely treat gamers with complete contempt in their interviews and in announcements.

Sony Online Entertainment - For me this is an extremely personal one, look up Star Wars: An Empire Divided, they took that wonderful game idea and then butchered it completely to compete with WoW, this one didn't affect me so much but it has others, they turned Planetside 2 into another bullshit micro-transaction freemium game

Ubisoft - Well known for piling tons of DRM and intrusive software onto their games and being particularly obnoxious about it

Activision - Yet again another company that spams DRM everywhere, I'm less aggressive towards them even though they make a rather mediocre game series but I won't buy their shit

Blizzard - Very invasive DRM, kinda ruined Starcraft's art style and turned the game rather cartoony ( As an artist this annoyed me because this kind of thing really gets in your face when you've been practicing art for a while ) and decided instead of making a full game they would split the game up into three seperate parts and they had the balls to sell the parts for the price of a full game, Starcraft and Starcraft: Brood War were complete games and you could play all three races.

Funny thing is about the Starcraft 2 games, I swear they were meant to be one full game, not just because I remember the originals but they actually seemed quite short.
2708  Other / Off-topic / Re: Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM on: November 26, 2014, 08:38:33 PM
Improve their games? If you mean by adding on new graphics sure lol but they don't do much else and all Advanced Warfare was, was a reskin with some slightly new physics mechanics ( The jump pack exosuits) and some particle effects, yes, some new weapons here and there but the gameplay hadn't really changed all that much and that's what it's like with all the publishers so they aren't protecting much of an investment lets be honest.
2709  Other / Off-topic / Re: Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM on: November 26, 2014, 05:46:56 PM
Yes, supposedly, but DRM is infamous for causing problems on PCs, just because of the fact that there's a process constantly running in the background of course it's going to cause problems when running the game.
It doesn't run in the background, although I have no idea how Denuvo works, SecuROM is basically a wrapper, it is embedded in the exe, it runs with the game, not in a separate process.

That's exactly what most forms of DRM do though, they do run constantly in the background, hell, I actually came across a problem with Battlefields anti-cheat punkbuster, because one particular file wasn't running in the background that caused the game to constantly kick me off the servers I joined then mysteriously they of course stealth patched it and I never had a problem with it since. They put all kinds of shit on PC games now and it's because they hate the fact that we can tamper with it so easily lol Tongue pretty soon we're going to be back in the era of being able to run cracked games better than 'legitimate' copies.

So if I'm not even a programmer and I'm finding all this shit on my PC imagine what programmers and the crack teams are finding in the background and yeah, Dragon Age is apparently one of the games that has had this copyright protection put on it so it could end up being cracked fairly early. Of course, we're never going to get a straight answer out of companies like Denuvo or the games publishers because then they'd be forced to remove it just like last time.

i think soon there going to have to do free to play games and just charge for content it is the only way to stop piracy. if i developed a game id release it for free and let people hack the hell out of it, imagine a big game and some of the mods that would come out like teamfortress it would be amazing. and then simply add the mods to the game as people like them. games would become truly epic and you would have massive massive fan bases and more people buying content.

There are games companies that do just fine without having a shit ton of DRM on their, the makers of the witcher being the first example that springs to mind, as far as I'm concerned internet 'piracy' is nothing more than an invention of the copyright industry to extract more money out of people without them having to make anything.
2710  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everything except the price trend is going fantastic on: November 26, 2014, 03:13:56 PM
What's happened is since the last rise a lot more trade volume has entered the market, so it will be a lot more difficult mess with the price short term, before you could pretty much dump a few hundred thousand into the market and that would be enough to send it skyrocketing ( You could do this in the altcoin markets for example, with less actually because they aren't as well known ) but now it's going to be difficult because there's so many people trading it's going to require a big move for the price to go either way.

This is partly a good thing though, because people were bitching and moaning about stability a lot before, it will be interesting to see what happens during the stock market crash that is inevitably going to happen.

Astonishingly stupid article. Governments that surrender their sovereign currency also give up their ability to conduct monetary policy.

Yeah, they don't seem to understand the point of free markets, looks like there are people out there who actively want their countries to be oppressed, what a load of hateful morons.

Anyone can issue a currency such as bitcoin and I do mean anyone. The trick is to get someone to accept it.

My favourite one, there are still people out there who don't realise you can end up in jail for making a currency LOL.

I don't know if any of you guys have been keeping an eye on this sort of thing but I have, there seems to be confirmed rumours about a new type of DRM appearing all over the internet. Now I'm sure people will dismiss this and go "So what? I buy the game legally" well, as it turns out this looks to be an off-shoot of another quite sinister piece of DRM software that was responsible for messing up peoples computers when it was installed back in the day.

Not only that, this kind of DRM is responsible for causing computers to run the games badly because of all the background checking they do while you're trying to play the game, as I've seen in comments, I smell a class action lawsuit on the way again, it looks like publishers are finally going to take things too far, should be extremely funny if the pirates manage to crack this one as well, they've done it before.

Edit: Just found something very funny on their main website so they're clearly realising people know what they're up to, I reckon this will be cracked next week or something.

Does Denuvo Anti-Tamper affect my SSD or any other type of hard drives in any way?

No. As mentioned before, Denuvo Anti-Tamper does not constantly read or write any data to storage media.

Stop making shit up, seriously, just remembered next year's supposed to be election season isn't it? So no wonder Americans are acting more stupid than usual.
2719  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ferguson Grand Jury Reaches Decision on: November 26, 2014, 10:42:30 AM
You think this is just purely a 'liberal' issue? This is why people think Americans are stupid, are you lot only ever capable of thinking in two party systems? Oh wait, Democrats vs Republicans, Apple vs Windows, Xbox One vs Playstation 4, Halo vs Call of Duty, marijuana legalisation vs the war on drugs, gay marriage vs the church. Yes, I just realised you guys really are only capable of two sided thinking, if you vote in somebody who isn't different in the slightest to the usual presidents you've had in the past and then proceed to bitch about it on here I will have absolutely no sympathy.

You morons bring everything upon yourselves purely because of how simple minded and arrogant you are, it's not just the fact that you're simple minded that pisses me off, but the fact that you're actually proud of it!

Hah, did a little digging, he was trying to use Paypal to buy BTC, no wonder you've been given negative trust.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=873652.msg9657209#msg9657209 - Here's the thread, OP, if you don't want negative trust, don't use paypal, I've bought BTC just using wire transfers over localbitcoins, no one is going to use Paypal because you can easily reverse the transaction on them after they've given the Bitcoins, do us a favour and don't play innocent.
