1783  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LiFi internet breakthrough: 224Gbps connection broadcast with an LED bulb on: February 23, 2015, 07:24:55 PM
HURRAY! It's about time someone came up with a solution to slow ass signals for the internet! It would absolutely be fantastic to not be limited by where you live etc. if you wanted to get a fast internet connection, hell, this kind of thing could make travelling fun. I take it Li-fi is similar to fibre optic where it uses light instead of electricity to send data? I don't know too much about this kind of technology.

When a government ignores basic mathematics, it is like ignoring the laws of physics, this is the kind of results from that way of thinking, I believe Ecuador is similar in terms of political leanings and is having the same thigns happen over there and now a left leaning party has taken over Greece I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened to those guys too.
Greece is already on the same track. I doubt Spain will follow tho, it's a part of EUR way too powerful to be kicked out like they are doing with the Greeks.

Don't forget that Spain has had Anarchism before too Wink

Oh please let this be real, but I thought that mesh networks were the thing? You still need signals and the like to have a proper global network don't you?

Grin I am not oversensitive.

Tell the truth, doesn't it bothers you even a little?

The only thing that I've learned about the state of readiness of the West and the East is that both sides are completely full of shit and that's what is preventing World War 3, yes, the U.S has advanced technology, but half the people there are too stupid to use it properly and the other half are aware of how dangerous it is and would never use it.
1789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A 100 Million dollar investment in Greece. $10/btc for each citizen. Crowdsource on: February 23, 2015, 07:46:58 AM
Right, because ten dollars per citizen is TOTALLY going to solve Greece's problems. /eyeroll

it opens the doors to the people of greece. Gets them educated.. and within a few years who knows they could be the leading economy.. doubtful but in better position.. And if greece makes its own currency again the block chain could be used to keep it check.

Look, I can get where you're coming from, if for instance you had a country with no or very little deficit that could actually work in getting their attention, but the problem is the people in these countries don't WANT to fix their problems which is the reason for my position that these people who don't listen in the first place need to be left to their own devices. As bad as it might seem these are the kind of people who will only do something if they face total disaster and even then that's not necessarily going to move them any further into fixing their economic problems.

The problem with countries like Greece isn't necessarily economic, it's ideological, they insist on empire building, deficit spending and money printing even if it puts all their people in poverty, it's only when they see that their ideology has failed that they'll move onto something new. Our time is better spent on people who are more open minded and will actually look at Bitcoin instead of just simply dismissing it as if it's nothing.
1790  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can't get my favicon working on: February 23, 2015, 07:40:05 AM
I've had this problem before but I've forgotten how I fixed it properly, I think there's just a delay between the upload time and the time it takes for the website updates itself.

1793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates Interview - Bitcoin is Better than Currency on: February 22, 2015, 10:20:55 PM
Bill gates is confused, I've seen the other video and he criticize the cryptocurrency and I don't know what will happen (microsoft_xbox marketplace | is accepting bitcoin, so why all this story?).

For the record, Bill Gates no longer has any real control over his own company, so Microsoft can pretty much do what it likes since it is publicly traded.

Look, evolution WAS a theory but it is a fact now, go ahead and do your own experiments and come to your own logical conclusions instead of waging a philosophical online thread war.

That would require intelligence he doesn't have, I agree that religious people should keep to the churches, when I see them trying to infiltrate our governments and our school systems that's when I get pissy about it and too many of them keep trying. The scientific minded will always have an advantage over the pious because they always seek the truth even if it challenges their own beliefs, the pious however don't which is why we'd be all stuck in the dark ages if they had their way.

I was religious as a kid growing up in a religious Indian middle class family and as a kid I was able to understand the stupidity of religion, I just dont get it that if I - not the most intelligent guy on the planet - can get how stupid & baseless religion really is as a KID why cant these so called grown ups do that as well ?

I'm sure it would be due to all sorts of reasons based on their upbringing and such, niether one of them quite being the same, but as far as I'm concerned, none of them should hold any kind of political power, even capitalists and communists of the absolute extremes tend to agree on this.

1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates Interview - Bitcoin is Better than Currency on: February 22, 2015, 08:13:37 PM
It's the establishment trying to find a message to cling onto, since cryptocurrencies never fit into anything they try to spin and they've never seen something like this before they fumble over it constantly.
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin foundation is a very bad idea on: February 22, 2015, 07:33:27 PM
Bitcoin Foundation is riddled with shady players; I'm not ready to give up on them yet, but I honestly am not sure how they will be able to regain their reputation back. At that, I'm not sure what purpose they are trying to serve anymore. Seems more self gratuitous than anything at this point.

Cody Wilson wants to get into the Bitcoin Foundation to wreck it Tongue vote for him! Cheesy

You know, it is actually a felony in the U.S to impersonate a law enforcement officer, you could report it if this spammer is annoying enough.

What a fucking bitch, hope she gets a long prison sentence.
You do realise all these articles coming out of psychotic and violent girlfriends is making it much harder for me to go out and find a girl right guys? I'd much rather stay single with all these stories I keep hearing about lol, it's come to a point now where if I ever meet someone new I'm just thinking "Please don't be a psychopath, please don't be a psychopath" Sad
Well propably only 0.001% of the girls are psycotic enough to do this. If you want to feel safe order a Russian/Thai bride and treat her decently Wink

Having a Russian for a bride would make me even MORE paranoid.
