2721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: April 13, 2021, 06:31:39 PM
I rehabilitate myself before from gambling addiction and today I am still playing gambling but it is rare nowadays. I don't play gambling on a scheduled basis anymore, I am playing gambling when I just feel it, More like a past time I guess. I think I can prove that gambling isn't my priority anymore. I don't have a time limit on my gambling time but as far as I can tell it can average around 2-3 hours per gambling session. I also have allocated money for each gambling session and It doesn't cost much If I compare it to my previous capital. I finished being an addict and today I know I can fully control myself from gambling.
2722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Online Gambling 'or' Day trading cryptos- Which one is more lucrative? on: April 13, 2021, 05:54:11 PM
It's hard to distinguish between those two, It will all depend on the person on which of those two is he better at. We can all agree that trading has less risk than gambling though trading takes more time to earn profit compared to gambling. You can possibly gain a one-week trading profit on a single-day gambling session, That is how fast you can accumulate profit on gambling. It is just hard to know what is the most lucrative on both trading and gambling. There are many factors to consider like luck, the person who is doing trading/gambling, The amount of capital, current scenarios, and many more that can affect the activity of both gambling and trading.
2723  Economy / Exchanges / Re: STEX Deleting Account inactivity (more than 360 consecutive days) on: April 11, 2021, 11:57:25 PM
One day ago I got an email from STEX and just read today, hopefully it's not a spam email. They informed me that my account will be disabled for being inactive for more than 360 days. There I saved a few coins.
For all friends who have STEX accounts, you may have to open them frequently if you don't want the account to be deactivated. In addition, for those of you who keep and hold coins for too long, maybe this can be a lesson. You have to move to your personal wallet or open your account frequently on trading sites. Luckily I can still log into my account for the process of canceling account deactivation.

Stex rules had the same with the coinbene, Bittrex and probably other exchange as well I think. As time goes by a lot of the exchange are now getting too strict to their policy anyway. Besides 360 days was equivalent of 1 year, I think this is too long already I think. Because, in my experienced before using coinbene, I think a couple of months that I didn't open more than 6 months I guess, after that I tried to log in but I can't do it anymore due to they disabled it and free already.
If you thought 1-year inactivity is long enough to deactivate accounts, I think it's pretty short. I have experienced this scenario before after I decided on my temporary break from crypto Wayback 2018, I am almost 1 year and a couple of months inactive on crypto and I didn't even check my exchange accounts by that time. When I got back on crypto I tried opening all of my exchange accounts for checking. Unfortunately, there's an exchange that disabled my account for this certain reason. I contacted them and told me that they changed their policies about inactivity. Lucky me I didn't store any coins or tokens there. Account deactivation may fight increasing dormant account population on an exchange but they should consider accounts with past activities.
2724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had 4,000.00 USD, what would you invest in? on: April 11, 2021, 02:47:45 PM
I would probably invest 80% of it in bitcoin and 20% in altcoins such as BNB, SOL, ENJ, and CAKE. Bitcoin is the absolute go-to if you have that kind of funds and the other 20% is a pretty good amount to put into altcoins considering that they are on the trend and I can easily make short trips on other altcoins after I profit out the current one. Having bitcoin on the portfolio wouldn't be a bad decision for sure.
2725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous a red flag? on: April 11, 2021, 01:31:49 PM
I'm doing a research on a new project right now and I see that the team decide to go anonymous, is staying anonymous a red flag for newbies?

Anonymous Devs are pretty common lately especially on Defi scene. On the past ICO trend, Those team that chose to be anonymous is a big red flag from investors, and most of the time they can't reach their hard-cap occasionally even their soft-cap but with in the past few months especially when successful projects like Pancakeswap have caught the attention of investors and start investing on Defi projects even if it's Devs/team is anonymous.
2726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is up 118% in seven days as the market responds positively to SEC case news on: April 11, 2021, 01:07:15 PM
Like it has been said a couple of times already, XRP's future depends a whole lot on what the final verdict of the lawsuit is going to be, XRP is appreciating at the moment as some of the SEC's arguments and requests on the case have been denied/dismissed by the court, this prolly must have allured some investors back to XRP, with a bit of hope that victory could be XRP's at the end of all this.

Having said that, since the case is still pretty far from over, I'd be concerned with pump and dump occuring along the way, a big news against XRP in this case could surface in the coming weeks that could see the price crashing down yet again.
I agree, It seems that the SEC lawsuit affects ripple too much and Ripple's future will depend on occurring news on their lawsuit. A piece of simple good news about XRP affects its price too much. Imagine what will happen if XRP wins their lawsuit, XRP price would go to the roof for sure. Those who will get the news first will surely get a huge profit from it, I'm sure they will take advantage of it.
2727  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Other Bitcoin wallet that converts Bitcoin to PHP? on: April 11, 2021, 12:08:08 PM
You can also try Abra and Bloomx, Pero di ko pa sila natatry eh pero mukang ok naman.  I strongly suggest P2P trading talaga, Maganda kasi experience ko dun eh.
2728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 652 Ukrainian officials declare holding a total of 46,351 BTC on: April 08, 2021, 11:20:20 PM
Politicians, not just in Ukraine, but also on other places, has some premium access to information that makes them good in doing things their way. That also includes investing in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and traditional investments like Stock market. Well, lucky them because the common man don't have the luxury to get that information, not even a big wallet for them to use for investment. Just try to do your best to get the information on your own here in this forum.
I think it's more of connections due to their position in the government, Give and take of information with the big names especially on business could happening. For normal people, Getting information thru big names would be hard to accumulate but if you are in a high position in the government you could do some ways. Ukraine officials could certainly share the same information about BTC and bagged up when it's not at its peak price. Though it will be hard to tell if they will use it on laundering or in illegal activities. Asking officials to drop public addresses to be verified by the public would be helpful but it wouldn't solve the actual speculations about them.

I'm pretty sure that their government wouldn't push to tax crypto  Tongue
2729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major differences between investment and gambling. on: April 08, 2021, 09:18:26 PM
A major misconception among gamblers is that gambling is sometimes considered as an investment and investment as gambling.
The purpose of this discourse is to clear the air and state some of the major differences between investing and gambling.
Some differences are;
(a) In investing, you expect moderate returns, whereas in gambling, the returns expected are very high and sometimes very ridiculous.
(b) There is a medium to long term planning in view, whereas in gambling, the returns is in view is short term.
(c) There is a risk involved in investment, but the risk is moderate. The risk in gambling is high.
(d) The motive behind investing is safety of capital and stability of one's returns, while the motive behind gambling is entertainment while making money.

______________
You can add your own differences.

Both are of them involves risk, and when it says investments of course that pertains to a project or with a trading of specific asset. But, when it comes to gambling? Most of the idea comes at betting and no assurance because you're only expecting a luck from that game. Though in sports betting, we're relying on odds of every team who played your favorite sports.
Ideally, a form of entertainment when you're engaging yourselves with gambling not on investments which is only focused with business mindset who expects more profit from risked capital.
Every type of earning in crypto has a certain risk in it, We can't deny the risk on crypto and it will depend on the method you are using on how much risk you are facing. Well, luck isn't the only factor in betting, There are strategies, techniques, current emotion, and other big factors that can affect the winning chance on your gambling session.  I agree that investment is more on a business-type model and most certainly safe especially if you have the skills to foresee the project's future with your research and analysis.
2730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 08, 2021, 08:29:13 PM
I guess they can get vaccine from different supplier, I  believe we have a lot of supplier of vaccines that is arriving, so to make it sure everyone is being catered with their needs, there should be a lot of option. For now let's not expect a regular format, a bubble is more suited in the situation but the moment the management is sure that everyone is getting the vaccine, they can always swith it to normal, but no crowd yet or probably limited only.
Not that much to arrive, from Pfizer, the government only got around 117k and that's not much that our government has taken. Johnson and Johnson has already been approved by our FDA and I think they can order from there but the question if these manufacturers can cater their order since there's a lot of orders from different parts of the world.

Another thing to consider, Covid is not only here but in most part of the world  if not everywhere, it will be difficult to find supplier to cater those orders in a much shorter period. PBA needs to  consider every possible solution if they really wanted to push forward.

That proposal considering players to get vaccinated might give some breathing to the players and staff as they don't need to lock themselves inside the chosen venue, they can go home after the game and live normally.
PBA players would be the second priority of the government in terms of public vaccination especially because of the shortage of supply in the Philippines, Addition to that AstraZeneca (One of the approved COVID vaccine) were suspended due to unsafe side effects which makes the vaccine supply stiffer in the Philippines. I also think that bubble wouldn't be effective on PBA right now, With the super-fast growing case on NCR+, It would be pretty hard as of now for them to establish a place where the bubble will happen. With the current situation right now in the Philippines, It will be really hard for them to operate events right now.

2731  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Deposit options... on: April 08, 2021, 11:59:57 AM
Ethereum will be a bad choice if you accept that deposit option right now, Gas fees from the Ethereum blockchain are really problematic right now. My best bet from the list is a dogecoin, It has a very cheap fee and it's fast! I can also consider litecoin as my second choice. But if I have a chance to pick any coins from the market, I would probably go with Tron and XRP.
2732  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bagong Crypto Trading Platform sa Pinas - BloomXapp on: April 08, 2021, 11:32:33 AM
Pros:

1. Bago, so may option tayong iba

Cons:

1. Since bago, wala pang reputasyon, mahirap magtiwala agad

Sigurado marami agad ang mag reregister dito at gagamitin to, It will al depends on the quality of experience na makukuha ng nainvite na users if iaadopt ba nila tong bagong platform nato or ididitch nila.
2734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the price of BNB will go above $ 300? on: April 07, 2021, 11:19:32 PM
You're even lucky to have it and hold it until now. How much you've bought each of them? you're in a deciding situation now which is hard to let go. I knew that feeling but not for BNB but for other cryptos that I hold.

I have different amount of BNB since its start. I bought from almost every price, my last big buying point was ~250 USD.

I believe in BNB's long term success. I hope we can see way higher prices this year.
I hope too but that's impossible if we're going to based that from the past year's performances of BNB. I regret I didn't bought when I saw it from $17-$34.
That's how life goes when we see the prices goes up, regret comes. Congrats for people like you who have bought it and you're in profit now.
I have the same regret as you. I didn't buy a bag of BNB back then when it was pandemic, Though I bought a small number of BNB around 10-15$ price during the pandemic but it is mainly used for futures trading fees in Binance. I don't think that it is impossible for us to see BNB at a higher price. If their platform offers us new features or some kind of new trend this year, I can expect that BNB will reach another ATH again.
2735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its not so Easy to lose in crypto trading and btc on: April 07, 2021, 09:51:11 PM
It's majority of the investors mistake to buy at highs and sell at the corrections. But if you keep repeatedly doing that mistake, the mistake is in you and you don't notice it.
Once is enough for that mistake and you're going to be wiser the second time you trade and hold it. Honestly, it's easier to lose than to make if you're not learning the lessons that has passed through your experience.

Trading principles like that, nowadays we find it more and more frequent and very massive among new traders, witnessing prices that don't know their history, they are usually carried away by FUD from social media about the increase in bitcoin. . but in fact the panic was very out of control.
That's the problem that they have to control, we've learned from it and endured most of the FUDs that came out in social media. But as for the newer folks, they're having hard time dealing with it.
With just one FUD that comes out that tells, the market is already done, they'll literally think that the market is already done and would panic to sell at a massive loss.
FUDs are everywhere and newbies are more likely to be victimized by that, Experienced traders always guiding new traders not to fall for the FUDs but newbies even they know that it is the wrong move, they still fall for it and blame themself after the whole FUD situation is gone. I'm sure every experienced trader has fallen into this trap, I myself have lost a couple of opportunities because I can't restrain myself but as time goes on, we learn how to deal with the situation from FUDs.
2736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risks of instituations holding bitcoin on: April 07, 2021, 08:41:20 PM
Perhaps these institutions with strong financial power are sharks in the crypto market and they are manipulating part of the market.
I think these institutions will not hold BTC for long, as long as they are profitable they will leave, perhaps then there will be a sharp decline.
You may be right or may be wrong but we can't do anything about it if they suddenly plan to sell their Bitcoin since it's their money in the first place. But, you don't need to worry because I don't think they have to easily throw their investment just because they saw a slight profit in this market.

But think about it, why Elon Musk and others large institutional investors are starting to invest in Bitcoin today instead of doing it last 2017 bull market? There could be some reason about it but why should I care when I am just a small fish in the sea compared to these sharks. Cheesy
Of course they won't leave easily if they haven't made a big enough profit. However I am still here no matter if the big fish are leaving the crypto market, I love BTC and this market so I want to stick with it.

Having institutional investment is because they are expecting very large profits, Elon Musk, Paypal and many more that are entering did not do it to earn pennies, I am sure they did their analysis and they know that the benefit will be in large proportions, I do not think they will go to exit the market when it hits $100,000, they can take profit of $200,000.
Well we don't know. It is safe to say that they will just hodl their BTC for greater profit but I think that companies and big institutions can't risk a big solid portion of their company and just entered into crypto because of the profit they can get during the bull market. These companies know that they can get a good amount of profit in the market so they entered. Imagine if these institutes bailed out one by one and bitcoin will crash, I don't know if you would say that you love the market.

To everyone who doesn't know better, this is a scam casino that is always gettingbumped in order to scam other people, the OP @bittrafficme is an alt account and anyone who will play in this casino is going to lose their money.
Yes, There are some bad reputation casino here (more likely a scam) are being bumped again and again like this. An alt account posting the same post/same content of promotion over and over. This kind of thread should be locked if the casino/service/platform is proven a scam because just like other threads, the -negative trust dummy account will just keep posting making this thread above the board.
2738  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading signal work or not? on: April 06, 2021, 11:51:48 PM
I don't really believe in trading signal groups, actually there are some trading signal groups that are legit and really pays but most of them are scam. Whenever you want to buy a coin you don't have to depend on anybody before buying a coin the only thing you have to do is make research about the coin check the necessary things you have to know about the coin any upcoming event, total supply, exchanges listed on and exchanges about to be listed on. You have to be active in there social media and Telegram group to know there next step. That's what must of the groups you paid for do. And after getting signal. From group make sure you make your own personal research before buying the coin don't just buy a coin because you get signal without making your research.
But that is precisely what people do not want to do, signal are so popular because people do not really want to take the time to learn how to trade, subconsciously they understand that trading is very hard and there is a high chance that they are never going to be successful on their own, so what to do? The obvious choice is to never trade but that is going to limit or completely end the dreams they have about making a fortune in the market so they look for someone that is able to promise them that they will obtain profits if they follow what they say, and unfortunately as we know most of the time they fall prey of scammers when they do that.
If it comes to the personal benefit of learning, I think it will depend on the person if he will just rely on that signal group forever. There are many signal groups existing today and I know there are some trading groups that offer basis or proof to their signals, They are providing TA, chart patterns latest news about the certain coin, and others more. It will be on the trader if he/she will use the basis of signals as a source of learning how to trade. I believe that a good trading signal group is an effective source of learning depending on how you will use it.

Welcome to bitcointalk forum. I did access the site and it loads well but I haven't registered yet. I will try to register later and see if there is no issue but if ever there is an issue I will share it right away if ever I found one.Does KYC needed? Not sure if there is or not. I prefer not sending KYC information and the site does look good.
I think not, They introduced their sportsbook/casino as a decentralized sportsbook and casino so we shouldn't worry about the KYC in the future. If ever they ask us to provide KYC in the future, It will be a huge stain on their name because of what they declared about their casino. This sportsbook/casino will solve the problem of those gamblers who hate KYC.
2740  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Possible ATH ng isang coin, paano malaman? on: April 06, 2021, 10:36:55 PM
Yep.
