Why wouldn't it be similar is what goes through my head all the time, so I'm prepared for that, hunkering down for it in fact. The good news is, if it does happen, the pullback upwards will be swift. The bad news is, of course, once that happens, we could see worse.
Well, eventually the market will stagnate. That's almost a guarantee, however we're probably a long way off of that, and the drama probably won't end for quite some time. Although, the reason that it might not repeat as much as we would like is the economic situation we find ourselves, and I think Bitcoin is still somewhat failing at convincing the masses that a deflationary currency by design, is the better option to their fiat currencies that are designed to be inflationary, and basically keep the poor, poor. I think the major problem is the complexity of Bitcoin, simply put we need to dumb it down a little bit, without compromising security. It's possible, since fiat has done it. Fiat is complex, yet most people don't understand it, but keep using it. We need to achieve that level of trust, and simplicity with Bitcoin. People/we continue using it because its familiar, Bitcoin is not familiar to the masses. You would think that high wealth people would be looking to Bitcoin in these uncertain times, maybe they are waiting for a bigger bargain but how much of a bargain will we see? I believe Bitcoin hasnt fallen below previous ATH's post halving, the last post halving was December 2017 > $20,000 After the big pullback from the 2017 ATH the price didnt go near the previous ATH of 2013! so maybe this will be the case this year and into 2023.

I remember back in 2008 during the financial crisis they kept talking about PIGS. It meant Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain. They had a horrible recession with double digit unemployment. They had it for years even after the US economy recovered.
The high gases prices probably is nothing new. Compared to America most people there drive less and have cars with smaller engines. In America we got V8 large trucks and many commute 1-2 hours each day for work. In Greece they don’t travel as much.
Yes we all remember the big financial crash of 2007/2008 and the resulting hardship felt more so in P, I, G and Spain, the ongoing inflation and effects from war related sanctions could well be felt the hardest in those 4 countries again. I live in the E.U and in my country we experienced Diesel touching €2 per litre and everything else is rising and costs are being pushed down to the consumer. And, sadly, since a big percent of that fuel comes from Russia, these elevated prices help Russia's war effort. Isn't politics a bitch?
Politics is a dirty business and there is no doubt about it, but in this particular case, we can see that some are still dirtier than others. The Russians are playing their strongest cards and already 5 or 6 years ago they knew the exact moves of their opponents - and the proof of that is that the sanctions have not practically touched them. They say the EU alone spends about 1 EUR billion a day on oil and gas, not to mention how much more money comes from the rest of the world. I hope that everyone will learn something from this, although in the short term Russia can create big problems when it comes to oil and gas supplies to the EU. Summer hasn't even started yet, but winter is not so far away. Yea I think there are still a lot of moves which have yet to play out, oil and gas supply from Russia is massive and major disruption will play havoc with everyones lives, of course it will hit the consumer the hardest.

All favourites to win the title has won today, it was obvious that their opponents did not stand a chance i think this year roland carros competition will be more competitive than the recent ones we have another favourite one which is alcaraz, i think it will be a triple war between nadal, djokovic and alcaraz there are some others but it will be tough for them to get the win.
yes all won decisively, there is no getting away from it that its a three horse race so to speak. On the womens side I was hoping to put an in-play bet on Swiatek but she demolished Tsurenko 6-2 and 6-0. She was in control from start to finish. There really isnt anyone who can trouble her and few chances to make a bet on her other than going on a handicap. Similar to the me s side for Djokovic, Nadal and Alcaraz early on in the rounds.

4.837 mBTC = nice! the draws are way to unpredictable though to be going with a parlay, maybe possible in some future rounds depending on the match ups.
I'm going conservative on round 12 of the NRL again

This coming Saturday the 28th is set for the European Champions Cup final between Leinster and La Rochelle.
Leinster are big favourites with the bookies, on Rollbit the odds are Leinster 1.18 to 5.2 La Rochelle.
La Rochelle are realy the up and coming team in France and are managed by Ronan O'Gara, Irelands all-time highest points scorer and played at #10.
Leinster will really be looking to win this and secure a home final for next year.
I'm going with a Leinster win and a bet on now with Rollbit $2 @1.18, if the odds are more favourable during the week I will add a second one.

Players are now talking about skipping Wimbledon, Norrie has said he thinks a lot of top names will skip it, Osaka has said she personally might skip it. Both mentioned that without ranking points, it's basically an exhibition tournament.
I have to say I'm a bit surprised at first, but thinking about it this does make perfect sense. Players have a long and tiring season, now they've been given the chance of a free mid-season break with no points to worry about... time to freshen up and get ready for the hard court season.
Absolutely, a welcome break from a busy season and if those big names pull out lesser "ranked" players will see it as a chance to boost their bank accounts as they have a chance to go further in the tournament and be the unlikely winner of such a prestigious event!

Unfortunately, some of us feel upset about what he has done. Because now it's worth way a lot. But, Laszlo never regrets it. Such a Legend.
Please read the full thread, particularly Lucius' post As others have posted elsewhere Laszlo didnt sell "everything" he had he mined more, it was so easy back then. They were different times.

It was celebrated over 12 years before and people don’t believe the bitcoin at that time. So the bitcoin was used for the pizza. But my wishes on this was, I would like to see that pizza owner. If I found him, I was dam sure he will billionaire or millionaire for sure. But Incase he had send the bitcoin for the immediate dollars, So that he will not had any bitcoin for now and we had a loss.
Well, people are actually tracking the "Pizza Coins" through Blockchain analysis and they determined that someone bought a house with some of those bitcoins that was linked to the Laszlo coins. They reckon a lot of the transactions that we are doing now, still contains satoshis that were part of the original 10 000 bitcoins that Laszlo used to pay for the two pizzas. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) There you go, some of the Satoshi's are still in circulation. As well as Laszlo's historical and important transaction back in 2010 he and all the other miners involved in the "early days" deserve a big slice of recognition, without them Bitcoins future might not have looked so bright I decided yesterday to do some Art as it was such a rainy day but I got interrupted to go get Pizza and didnt get it finished! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2F-7pYSeN29TRY%2FYot26vYZ50I%2FAAAAAAAAA_w%2FynEVAaHLf2cqdGbseCQFvbA4QBX-eP57ACNcBGAsYHQ%2Fs1600%2F1653307112133839-1.png&t=663&c=XZRiivwGMc7EIA) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2F-NPCSRVMWoNU%2FYot27ep1WBI%2FAAAAAAAAA_0%2FGcULq9N7-MEh2y0HUukmNY2XUlrVg197QCNcBGAsYHQ%2Fs1600%2F1653307115297143-0.png&t=663&c=NT0SBt1gh08G4g)

Seeing Alcaraz having an easy 3 set game winner against Londero.
And it's interesting that Djokovic, Nadal and Alcaraz are on the same bracket in this tournament. And another thing is that Alcaraz is getting more media exposure that Djokovic and Nadal combine. Hopefully though, Alcaraz will not succumb to this big pressure grand slams and hopefully he can win one.
It's because he is the new face of tennis and even compare to Rafa when he was young. So obviously there will be a lot of media given to this kid in one of the biggest tournament early this year. And I agree on @Rabi3, it will be a big test for Alcaraz, five setter is very different obviously. I know he is mentally tough, but at his age, he needs maturity and just can't slip even in just a set otherwise his opponent are going to take advantage of that. And you learn that experience as you go along. Yea the 5 set match is a big factor, most recent example is Felix AA's game with Varillas yesterday, Varillas played Felix off the court in the first two games 2-6, 2-6 but after Felix broke him early in the third set it was only going one way and it was time to get an in play bet on! Tennis is about Skill, Fitness, mental ability and experience and more so in the GS's I think Alcaraz will do fine!

I think a lot of people have that way of thinking. Michael Saylor said before that he used to go to bed at night worrying that he didnt have enough Bitcoin!
DCA is just that, it can happen over a long period of time with whatever finds you allocate, There are many people who would love to put $50 per week into Bitcoin.
The priority is keeping a roof over you and your family's head and making sure bills are paid and food on the table. Bitcoin after that is the next important thing.

Got a call from my Bitcoin buddy today to say I was being picked up for a drive to get Pizza's. Bitcoin was used sold for FIAT indirectly to buy 2 Pizzas with extra cheese. I wasnt planning on having a real Pizza today, I was working on an Pizza day art project which still isnt finished but still happy to have Pizza and chat about Laszlo and Bitcoin. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2F-Yxb8kksCIKM%2FYoqTUXtIVqI%2FAAAAAAAAA_o%2Fv79_FuA-K-w3HB71xqLZZBC21pTKqp9OACNcBGAsYHQ%2Fs1600%2F1653248828178444-0.png&t=663&c=r1ukrHVtv0uxNQ)

People have such a strange mindset that you can only own Bitcoin once, and once you sell your precious bitcoin, you will never own it, because it's just impossible, right? Laszlo still owns enough coins to be a millionaire, maybe even multi-millionaire. No one knows if he bought back the coins he spent on pizza. Same goes for people who sell in a bear market - not every single one of them is panicking and quitting Bitcoin for good, some just accumulate more Bitcoin by waiting for lower prices.
Thats the thing so many people miss that point. They automatically think Laszlo bought Pizzas with all his Bitcoin and that was it, he was never able to buy back the Bitcoin. Bitcoiners today sell Bitcoin to buy stuff, they buy it back again, we dont 5 years later think that item cost x times more because of the current market value. As everyone above Bitcoin has to move, change hands and be used.

in my area there are no shops/restaurants that accept bitcoin as direct payment. but that's not a problem for me. because today I have sold a little bit of my bitcoin and and then exchanged it for money. and will buy food such as pizza and the like for small parties with the family. and of course I will slip education about bitcoin to the family on this bitcoin pizza day. because my family has started to be interested in bitcoin. this is happiness when one family together holding bitcoin ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Thats is a great idea! There is a wide open opportunity for anyone to subtly introduce Bitcoin to family, friends and neighbours while enjoying tasty food. With the endorphins flowing from the tasty Pizza the magical story of Bitcoin and what Laszlo acheived.

Not sure what happened yesterday, but I didn't place bbets on the last two matches of the round. The Raiders won against the Rabbitohs (32 - 12) whose slump has continued this week while the Sharks ate the Titans. (25 - 18).
Yea I'm glad I didnt back them this round, way too unpredictable. What the hell happened to Storm? The Cowboys themselves brought the storm, I mean it wasnt even close 36-6. Thats a great run of form now by the Cowboys with 6 wins in succession. My two bets returned 1 win and 1 loss and my estimation that both games would be close affairs didnt materialise. I have smaller micro bets on for round 11, just two though with Nitrogensports
Sydney Roosters v Penrith Panthers - ML Penrith Panthers @1.28 - Amount taken 0.08 mBTC - Possible Payout 0.102 mBTC
North Queensland Cowboys v Melbourne Storm - ML Melbourne Storm @1.45 - Taken Amount 0.08 mBTC - Possible Payout 0.116 mBTC
I think they are going to be close games, I'm not too confident on those bets actually.
Rugby Union
The last round of the United Rugby Championship before the Quarter Finals. The southern hemisphere South African teams are visiting the north. I have bets on two of them facing two Welsh teams.
Really small micro bets on these with Rollbit
Dragons v Lions - ML Lions @1.54 - Amount Taken $1.50 - Possible Payout $2.31
Scarlets v Stormers - ML Stormers @1.55 - Amount Taken $1.5 - Possible Payout $2.33[/green]
My two bets on the URC returned two wins, happy enough with that.

I'm not sure why if the ATP are taking this move this year players lose points from last year, my brain doesnt compute that?
It has nothing to do with the decision. Player's always loose points exactly 1 year after getting them. Proper way to say it is that players can't defend points from last year and Djoković won last year which is 2000 points less for him. Face/Palm, of course, thanks Trofo. As for the games, it was still Casper Ruud in the Geneva Open.
Winning in 3 sets against Sousa, 6-7 , 6-4 , 6-7 and retains his Geneva Open title, while C. Norrie wins in Lyon vs Molcan.
Two good wins by Ruud and Norrie, they should go far at Roland Garros with the good form they have shown. There are a lot of matches in R1 today but all eyes will be on Alcaraz v Londero. There are also some other potentially close matches on today which should make for interesting betting. Dimitrov v Giron Fognini v Popyrin Griekspoor v Davidovich Fokina Ramos-Viñolas v Kokkinakis

What are your plans for bitcoin pizza day this year?
Same as I've been doing for the last 4-5 years, gonna bake my own bitcoin themed pizza. That is, If I have enough time. Worst case scenario is just ordering the pizza, but its not the same thing as making your own. My last two bitcoin themed pizzas ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.postimg.cc%2FTwVLZDpW%2FBTC-Pizza1.png&t=663&c=uaaq1gJfkbSWGA) Thats brilliant! I am hoping to have Pizza tomorrow but I'm not sure if its going to happen on a Sunday. I might have to resort to something like this but It will be a bit of improvisation on my part I think. Interesting to see pizza day in a day in the bitcoin bearish phase and the price falling so some newbies were doing panic selling at lower prices while they can hold and all they need to do is to be patient and don't fall into the emotional trap just like happened on the pizza day. The guy who owned this amount of bitcoins and sold bitcoins because he didn't truly leave on it and couldn't hold it, I believe a few years later when the price reached much higher price the people who sold their asset at price will have the same feelings of the guy who traded bitcoins for a pizza.
Laszlo is quoted saying "To be fair, the pizzas were pretty good." Haha, so I think he has no regrets! Also, it is important to note that Lsszlo didn't buy pizzas with bitcoin because he couldn't hold bitcoin or he was afraid, but because he wanted to prove that if you can buy food with bitcoin, its as good as any other money. And he indeed proved that Thats it, its a landmark event more because of this rather than what others think was an exorbitant amount of Bitcoin to pay for Pizza.
