If more people realise that decentralized systems isn't like a banking or centralized system were you can go and report a transaction and they seize the persons money or track the person( although its possible if they are not smart enough) then you would be more careful when doing deals here.

Absolutely. Bitcoin transaction cannot be undone. I would like to draw attention to the virus that has caused a lot of losses recently. It infects you computer and does nothing except it waits until you make a transaction and it changes the address you just copied to another one. Please, guys, double check what you are pasting.

Hello, FortuneJack!

First off, thanks to your amazing team for helping me with passing tremendously difficult KYC, so that I could withdraw my money. Smiley

On a second note, I was wondering why I can't play Pragmatic Play slots on your site? If I Google where can I play Pragmatic slots, I get this:

And I'm living in Ukraine right now and trying to access FortuneJack from there. And there's no problem with the site itself, but regarding Pragmatic slots I'm constantly getting this:

Again, your site is amazing. And even without Pragmatic Play you have a lot of games to have fun with. I'm just wondering if there's anything wrong on my side.

EDIT: OMG, I just noticed the "except" word. Sorry, never mind.

~ Without a doubt people can get lucky once in a while as that is the part of the nature of gambling, but more often than not those that take such high risks will eventually return all of that money to the casino, and casino owners know this, so they are happy with those results as that customer is likely to come back to try to replicate those results.
~

It's a common misconception that if someone loses, say, $1,000, all those money go to the casino. Especially that's not true for online gambling, where, quite reasonably, at least a part of those money go to the game providers who are entirely different people from those who run the casino.

But even if a game completely belongs to the casino, a so-called house game like dice for example, only a small part of what we lose goes to the house, namely the house edge, that's it.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: April 10, 2024, 11:47:24 AM
When we talk about religion we cannot dine the forbidden things like alcohol, prostitution and many other things in this topic we will discuss why do gambling is forbidden (Haram, interdit) .
So can you tell me why is it forbidden in your religion?
And for the non religious persons what you think ?
You can simply browse that in internet to find the better answer because for me , my
complete respect to Muslim's forbidding many things because those are truly not a good
thing to human , alcohol is roots of troubles while prostitution is about health and other
things, and there is this gambling that have ruined many lives and families for the long
time of existence
 ~

Why having guns is not forbidden then? Ruined many lives and families too. Why stoning women to death isn't forbidden in this religion? Doesn't that ruin some people's lives?

Gambling is forbidden in Islam  because in it "lies grave sin". Meaning it makes people get used to laziness and idleness, while good Muslims should be hard working and God-abiding people.

Sweet win Betwrong,

Thank you, @buwaytress! It's a pleasure to receive congratulations from such an experienced sports bettor like yourself.

but I won a darn good amount with the second one
Nice win, but it was a close call because I think Everton scored their goal in last few minutes.
Newcastle was better in that match,
but only points count Wink
~

Agreed. But, like you said, it's only the final result that really counts. So, I'm glad Everton scored their goal making it a draw in the end. After all it's because of that I won my bet. Smiley

Financial pressures is certainly common for everyone, and if we decide selling at that times, then at least our investment has probably serve its purpose. Remember that we are not just investing merely to buy and hold, we also buy bitcoin at it cheap price so we can sell it quite a decent amount when financial pressures suddenly strikes. Hence, it can also serve as our emergency funds, that we can get something out from it in times of money troubles.

Right, but sometimes we know that it will rise much more in the future, and we sell anyway because we need the money right now. And there are times when we sell at the price 2-3 times lower than it used to be, but due to financial pressures we have no option but sell. That's how it is with Bitcoin. Those who are not ready for such situations shouldn't enter the game.

Why I personally don't enjoy playing in demo mode, or in other words "for free", is because you have no chance of winning anything playing like that. There are slots which propose you like 50,000x or even 100,000x potential multiplier, and if your bet is just 10 cents you can potentially win thousands of USD. And that's what makes gambling exciting. Playing in demo mode you just delete that excitement.

Same here, I consider it waste of time since you can’t gain anything by doing that while most of the slot games is boring if played in demo. Winning money is what makes slot games intense and fun.

Most importantly, You might hit max win on demo which is just a shame to the opportunity like that while you can use small amount on bets to risk small to have a potential huge win.

I manage to win a max win on San Quentin slot games but on demo mode. After that, I never play demo and always bet the minimum when doing relax slot game play just in case I manage to hit max win again.

San Quentin's max win is 150,000x. I mean, even if your bet is just $0.10 you win $15k. No one in the world would mind winning that amount. Even Mark Zuckerberg wouldn't. Smiley

I can't say I have quit playing demos. I find it entertaining sometimes. But the funny bit is my real winnings are actually much bigger than those in demo mode.

~ Now, I've known about Bustabit for a year or two. It's a place I go to unwind sometimes. For instance, just last week, I lost around $10k on futures trading. But before that loss, I actually turned $250 into nearly $5,000 on Bustabit by playing patiently.~

I'm sorry, what are talking about, mate? How can you turn $250 into nearly $5,000 by playing "patiently"? The answer is, you can't. No patience will help you to do something like that, it all depends only on luck.
~

I employ a strategic approach to my gameplay. I never play consecutively. Typically, after observing a series of red outcomes, usually around 4 or 5, I join the game.

You mean the "pre-rolling" technique that has been used by dice players since the beginning of times? Honestly, there's nothing new in it, and as all other strategies for purely lucky-based games, it works until it doesn't. Smiley

Let's say I start with a bet of 1 BIT and lose it. I then double my bet to 2 BIT, and if I lose again, I double it once more to 4 BIT.

Again, it's an ancient as the sands good old martingale strategy. There are millions of "improved" martingale strategies around, but all of them follow one rule: they work until they don't.

~ Did you see I did increase my BIT 50% and reduct my payout as same? I'm not playing with my chance.

What are you doing, mate, is you are playing with your chance, you won't convince me otherwise.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: April 09, 2024, 01:32:24 PM
Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?

In fact, there is only one main reason for playing gambling, namely winning. even those who say gambling for fun is just nonsense. They also want to win when gambling.

The fun in gambling is winning. How can you have fun if all you encounter is defeat? I think only stupid people would give their money to a casino and just want to get the satisfaction of playing.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion, man. If you gamble to earn money from that and ridicule people who gamble for fun, that's your business. But people do gamble for fun, I am one of them. I even had known a guy, a pretty well-off guy, who was going to land-based casinos to lose money there and get sympathy from the staff. What would you say about him? Smiley
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: April 09, 2024, 01:08:31 PM
~
The fact is that people who put the blame of the outcome of their action on others, will not learn to prevent such action in future. This is because, they will fail to understand that what they did was the wrong move, because they believed that it was someone that led them wrongly. Instead of blaming themselves for their own actions, this is why they will keep on blaming people for their losses.

It is a very bad habit, because even in addiction, they will blame gamble for that, when they gamble for profit and fail to understand that gamble is not a means of making money, they will blame whoever introduced them to gamble. This is why I don't like telling anyone that I gamble apart from my close friends that we gamble together. To avoid any blame on me.

And we are seeing a lot of such examples, even on this forum too. They should blame their greed for them getting addicted to gambling not the gambling itself. A crack addict shouldn't blame coca plant, an obese person shouldn't blame food for their obesity.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: April 09, 2024, 12:40:05 PM
You are right in general, but in fact chasing losses can be bad only if gamblers have no control over their actions. Chasing losses can fun too, you know. If you know when to stop and if you can make yourself stop before you lose more than you can afford to lose then there's nothing wrong with chasing your losses if that makes you entertained.
To me though, I feel like chasing losses is the same as being greedy or that it's under that term. But you're right about how you can stop it from happening to you, most of the time, weak self-control or the lacking of it is the common reason as to why most people succumb to this problem. I don't like the idea of you advocating that chasing losses is a fun thing to do because there's an off chance that some numb nut will get it out of context and now you end up with a dimwit losing money because they thought that it's a good idea to do just that, I don't mind the idea of being entertained but I guess you can get away with it if you've got the discipline to do what needs to be done.

Indeed it should be ripped out from the context to understand it the wrong way. They key phrase there is "if you can make yourself stop before you lose more than you can afford to lose". I mean if you can make yourself to do that any kind of gambling activity can be fun, right? This is the main mistake gamblers make: they put at risk more than they afford to lose.

Any advice on what promotion and challenge to look forward regularly?

To me they are mostly those you listed in your post. Go on Stake Forum to Casino Promotions

and take part in all of them if you have time. Plus "Stake vs Eddie" and "Perfect 10". I rarely participate in all of them at the same time, but I think I'm playing slots challenges pretty regularly.
293  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: April 09, 2024, 09:54:26 AM
Today I was browsing through the LIVE RTP slots on Bitcasino and came across The Bowery Boys by Hacksaw Gaming among those with the lowest RTP during the past 24 hrs:

Of course I decided to play it a bit because The Bowery Boys has been a pretty good paying slot in my eyes. But from all my rolls the best I got was 30 cents on my 20 cents bet:

Well, I thought, at least today LIVE RTP is showing something close to what is really happenning. So, I switched to Amazing Link Fates bt MicroGaming with staggering 316.11% RTP:

And it appeared it was a good move on my side. Literally less than 1 minute later I hit this Amazing Link Feature

and things started going better and better from then on

In the end I won €15 out of my 20 cents bet:

And I used to think that 316.11% RTP was "staggering" couple of minutes ago! With that win the RTP was closer to 1,000% for me. I don't know what to call it. Smiley

If you are reading this and you actively participate in lotteries as an regular player, these kind of lottery success stories can evoke a lot of emotions and responses. Which of these range of thoughts and feelings do you experience;
  • my time is near
  • it can't happen to me
  • I wish I could win, even if it meant lower jackpots
  • Indifferent

I wouldn't mind winning something much lower compared to those Jackpot winners, something like that what that woman who quit her job after winning has won. Smiley But seriously, I would be very happy about winning $500 too. For sure I can't think like "it can't happen to me", but I know that the chances are low. Yet I keep hoping that "my time is near", I'll tell you that much.

297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 08, 2024, 05:08:35 PM
~

Besides, online gambling games do not require one person to observe the other, so they become very simple. Players seem to be absorbed in the virtual world and forget about the people around them, the games continue one after another, so they are more likely to become addicted to games on the screen. What is online gambling in your personal opinion? Are your feelings different from when you play traditional gambling? Does it affect your gambling habits when you play online? Please share your experiences here.

Online gambling is much more affordable than traditional gambling, in my opinion. Of course I feel different, because there's no one around, in the first place. I'm at home behind my computer and I don't hear annoying sounds made by other gamblers, nor I hear their boring conversations. I can stop whenever I want, without thinking that I spent some time and money to get here so I shouldn't leave after just 3 minutes of playing. Those kind of things.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 08, 2024, 11:17:06 AM
~ In your case, how do you approach when you are on losing streak so badly on specific game. Does changing game works for you?

Yes, changing game works for me, definitely. It doesn't mean I necessarily start winning on another game, but at least I become less frustrated. When you lose on the same game all the time it's annoying, isn't it? And I gamble to fun first of all, it's no point in gambling if you are getting frustrated in the process. If you are losing badly on a specific game, my advice - change it immediately.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 08, 2024, 09:59:43 AM
The reason why I'm not addicted to gambling is because even before I started to play gambling I already understand gambling and its addiction, and my understanding has helped me on how to follow up gambling. Sometimes I ask myself why do people get addicted to gambling, is it because they have no understanding or awareness about the addiction of gamble.

I think majority of people who are addicted to gambling is because they do not understand gambling as beginners, the rules and the side effects of playing gambling excessively.

I think if gambling companies can help to giving beginners to understand gambling and addiction it will help and reduce the rate at which people get addicted o gambling, I mean good lesson for people to get understanding.  Or do gambling companies benefit from gamblers who are addicted, which the awareness of getting addicted can affect their business?.

I don't think that gambling companies benefit a lot from gamblers who are addicted. Of course they want more games were played on their platforms and more often too, but the additional percentage of turn over they get due to gambling addicts is hardly higher then 5-6 %, and that's not much, to tell the truth. I even think that the fact that there are problem gamblers is to disadvantage of gambling platforms. They would be much better off if there were no gambling addicts at all, because many millions of the people who are afraid to even try online gambling, because they hear scary tales about addicted gamblers, would be fearlessly registering and playing on their platforms.

~
Let's be honest is there a certain field or profession in this world where people will make an end means easily?
I don't think there's any, even in the cryptocurrency that is filled with diverse opportunities you have to dedicate some hours of your sleep to research, reading, or skill improvement if you want to be at the edge of your game.
Although, online crypto casinos have made things easy but I consider gambling to be more difficult than a job cause we're talking about something that has made some people millionaires and has easily ruined the lives of some people.

Indeed, if you want to earn money it's better to resort to some highly paid job than to try to earn it through gambling. I wouldn't say that gambling is "more difficult", bur more risky that's for sure. As for the crypto trading, it's more like gambling to me, to be honest. Despite many hours spent on researching you still have a good chance of losing it all.
