Verwechselt ihr nicht den ETF mit Gemini?
Soweit ich weiss ist Gemini ne ganz normale Börse wie Coinbase.
Der ETF ist das wo nur virtuell (lol) mit Bitcoins gehandelt wird: Dieser ist soweit ich weiss noch nicht genehmigt.
Ein ETF braucht halt ne Börse im Hintergrund um das Risiko für den Herausgeber erträglich zu halten.

Let's put the facts in order ladies....  You, smart supporters and shrimps of a good and interesting project like XMR, DON'T CONTROL THE MARKET. I like the way you support your coin (I prefer DASHit shrimps), but your actions don't have any effect in the trading room. WE CONTROL THE MARKET, and very thanks to Poloniex, now we have a double control. Why should we pump a shitcoin, when we can get the profit by dumping it and crashing the weak confidence??  I'm sorry for you but hard times for XMR are coming.... I'm sure that smart supporters will take advantage of the future dumps, so I would say that we will all win (except the shrimps, which represent the 90%). Just remember, keep buyin' that shit, keep supporting it, and when the crash comes, sell your XMR in silence, nobody will judge you.  And last thing, forget about the 0.002 's dreams. The market won't get there for a long, long time.....  See you in the 0.001 's in a few weeks. In my country, the 0.001 's means 0.0009-0.0011 , pieces of shrimps. cross post from boolberry speculation thread because it cointains CryptoNote technical questions relating to privacy from jl777 (SuperNET). He mentions BBR and XMR specifically and has privacy concerns regarding transaction volume.
Is my memory correct that MRL thought about this at some point and made suggestions for how and when to mixin inputs to combat some of his data analysis concerns? I am referring to age in addition to # of mixins.
IMHO his concern is not the privacy of cryptonote. its just that its traceable if you buy and sell a huge amount immediately. the same concerns are true for a bitcoin sidechain which uses cryptonote. imagine someone buys XMR for 100BTC and uses xmr.to to pay a BTC address immediately. with BTC blockchain analyses it is possible to link those transactions. people who already own xmr (or bbr) beforehand are not affected as their transactions are to far away to link them. so: monero users not affected EDIT: he said he wants to use coinshuffle to beat this. not sure how that would work as this has exact the same problems - except if he plans to shuffle all coins always which would force some more volume. |

For those that don't know there is a strange new 'attack'
Uh no it's not new. This attack has be known for years, but it is only recently (within the last ~18 months) that there have been any serious consequences because of this issue. MtGox claimed that they had huge losses because of malleability attacks; though its unproven (there also where mallated transactions back then). they claimed that people withdraw btc. that tx was mallated. their system thought (because of the new txid) their transaction has not been in a block so they refunded. technically its not a double-spent btw as it only looks like one, but all outputs and inputs are the same: so imho it isnt. |

Vod has on many occasions rationally discussed his decisions. Your point is invalid.
None of that "I am trying to show you the silliness of your belief by making the baseless claim that I am God" relates to the quality of Vod's feedback. Has he been leaving negatives for people because they argue that he is not God?! I doubt it. But keep monitoring Vod closely and try to spin everything he does into "this kind of person" does not belong on default trust. It's somewhat entertaining in a weird way.

The above quote and the quotes in the above post are evidence of the lack of respect that Vod shows to those who do not share the same opinion that he has, and that he is not willing to rationally discuss any decision that he has made that negatively affects others.
This this kind of person really someone who is appropriate to be on DefaultTrust? Is the ratings of this person really what we want to see a new user of Bitcoin/the forum to see by default?
