281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prepare for the Next Dip before the Real Bull. on: January 24, 2024, 06:06:23 PM
Buy on this because it is coming and don't wait until the dip or the bottom, you don't know what will happen.

Yea, right, try to time the top and the bottom and eventually you'll lose in this race, because there are bigger and tougher players than you. You guys should realize that you're trying to enter a race here, but you're on foot and some guys are pro athletes, while others cheat and ride on horses Wink

1. You don't know if there's a dip coming. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
2. You don't know how low it will go just as you did not know how high the ETF pump would take us.
3. If you want to buy bitcoin a 15% dip, called crash by people who don't understand bitcoin, is a great opportunity.

Bottom line, you either want bitcoin or not. If a 15% crash is too much for you to keep holding, or not enough for you to start buying, maybe you don't really want it. Just buy bonds that won't experience volatility and be happy with 5% a year.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saudi Arabia 1M BTC BUY !! on: January 24, 2024, 05:57:05 PM
This is just a rumor tweeted by Max Keizer's influence and then speculated by other influences so that the news becomes wild and everywhere.

I don't know what will happen next week that Saudi Arabia will invest a large amount, I'm not sure about this rumor maybe they just want to make a profit because usually this news will quickly rise especially when it comes to a rich country investing in bitcoin.

First of all, there are some facts that make it look like there's some truth to this. It looks like the Ruler of Qatar spoke with Bukele about this and wanted to know more about the way El Salvador acquired and stored bitcoin. The 1m number can be a rumor, but the fact that these governments were showing interest in bitcoin is more of a fact than anything else.

They might buy 1m, or nothing at all, but the mere fact that they're asking about it when years ago the whole world thought bitcoin to be another bubble is important because it shows the change in narrative.

Also, they could be interested in bitcoin because they have a lot of inflows and don't want to hold any USD, since Saudi Arabia and the UAE are a part of the BRICS now. One of the main goals of this group is to weaken USD.
283  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit stole my withdrawal… please help on: January 23, 2024, 07:25:33 PM
If you were talking to support and were advised to wait 30 days to reactivate, then it sounds like you already knew about the self exclusion. Then once you were not able to reactivate the account, you decided to break the ToS. Correct me if I'm wrong?

He was so eager to play again that he decided to not wait any longer and try with a new account. I'd blame the addiction in this case.
Why would you deposit without asking support first if the account is still locked by mistake or if there's an issue?

Weren't there any other casinos where you could play while waiting for an answer from Rollbit's support?

For your ex girlfriend to have access to your gambling account login details then she must possibly have access too to verification request details and could have completed the process for the account closure without you knowing. I mean  both guess is possible following your explanation. If I were you and knowing about what my ex had done, upon receiving a message to wait for the 30 days intervals as given by the casino I would have just done so not to go against their ToS. Or maybe you're one of those gamblers that can't go a day without gambling which would have been the reason why your ex girlfriend took the action without your notice.

This is an interesting angle of this case.
What if your girlfriend tried to play and was banned and then said that she requested you to be excluded? What if she was lying to you?
Have you ever thought about this OP?
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Everything is so logical the russia is the bad guy on: January 23, 2024, 07:15:56 PM
What parameters did you base your argument on?

The one that NATO is stronger than Russia and wouldn't be able to advance into Europe?
Is that not obvious? I'll quote a few numbers for you:
In 2023 NATO had over 3 million active soldiers and another 1,7 million in reserve, compared to only 830k of Russians.
In all war scenarios, the attacking force must be greater than the defenders to advance because it's much easier to defend. Attacking forces have to face difficulties like supply chains, minefields, fortifications, and they are going to fight on unfamiliar battlefields.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1293174/nato-russia-military-comparison/

Quote
Britain is effectively out of arms and has no military stockpile(check out articles in the daily telegraph which is a British media company or others like it),Germany is planning to train and field 5,000 -30,000 troops to be sent to the Baltics by 2027,
According to and admitted by western intelligence Russia is outproducing the entire west ie USA and all it's allies NATO inclusive in artillery, drones, missiles, tanks, aircrafts, ships, submarines, practically in everything Russia outproduces the west and in terms of troops, well simply put last year Russia added 500,000 plus troops well trained and equipped to the smo in Ukraine something none of the western countries is able to do

Yea, right... That's probably why they have to use ammo from North Korea and send their old T55s into battle, because they have so much modern equipment.
Let's also not forget that Russia, although it's producing a lot, is also losing a lot every day. Just a few days ago there was a video of their most advanced version of T90 being shot to pieces by a Bradley.

Quote
The USA is experiencing up to 65% fall in recruitment targets, all European militaries are a joke, they've never at any point in history been able to stand in the way of the Russian military so where are you getting your claims from or is it just wishful thinking

Are you comparing these Russian elite troops that fight in Ukraine in plastic helmets? The famous Russian soldiers that dig holes in the dirt to hide in and get grenades thrown on their heads from a drone?
The heroes of Russia that eat old military rations and catch cats and dogs to stay alive? The ones that had to rebel because they weren't getting enough ammo last year because Russia is outproducing the whole NATO and soldiers abandon their own tanks when they run out of fuel, because Russia has so much of it that it could reach Germany and France with its tanks, but couldn't reach Lviv...
And recruitment in Russia? Don't even start with this because I'm sure you know where Russia takes its recruits from.

285  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I think Tradusbit dot com is a scam! on: January 23, 2024, 06:49:53 PM
100% scam. What would also catch my eye is that they operate on very high numbers because stupid scammers think that the more they show as sent or withdrawn and the bigger profit percentage-wise there is the more people will get greedy and try them out with low amounts. Idiots think that if they show you that they got $50k out you'll be more likely to send $500 thinking it's a small amount for the company, but that's the money they actually want from you. They're lowly scumbags living somewhere in India or Africa who never saw $50k in their lives, but will gladly take your $50.

Red flags:
You don't know them, but they DM you somewhere (facebook, whatsapp, telegram, this forum) and offer you an opportunity like an investment or a job.
The money is usually very good, too good for someone to offer via DM to a random person. Often they just want your private data, documents, scans, your full name and age.
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your expectations for the few weeks after the halving period? on: January 23, 2024, 06:32:32 PM
If you have studied bitcoin price history as well as bitcoin halving, you will know that bitcoin price won’t rise immediately. We might be observing price plummeting before and after bitcoin halving, and I think that’s normal. It might take several months before seeing bitcoin price rising until it reaches its new all time high, so most probably people will be encourage to buy more so they can prepare for the real market bull run.

While history may have chances to repeat itself or not, the most important thing is we should know when to buy more and when to start selling. That’s the best way so we won’t see ourselves losing while others are enjoying their massive profits.

That's what most bad analysts say that it can go down before or after the halving or it can go up before or after the halving. You literally made no prediction in these sentences. It might this it might that... You might not wake up one day, and probably will, but it can happen sooner or later Cheesy That's an example of the predictions you and other so called traders repeat.

The history might have chances to repeat itself or not is the funniest bitcoin prediction I've heard in a while.

So, I expect bitcoin to go up even before the halving. IMO we'll be at the very least at 45k before and over 50k right after the halving. By the end of the year I at the very least expect us to approach $60k, but with good winds we'll hit $80k.

If you still don't own any bitcoin, I urge you all to get at least a little. Get as much as you're comfortable with. With each year getting to a certain point lik 1 BTC is going to be harder, mark my words.
Let's see how this post ages.

287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying houses with BTC on: January 23, 2024, 06:20:41 PM
I'm interested in how this person understands safety. How is buying a house not safe?

Let's drop the idea of paying by buying an NFT of the house and focus on safety of transaction. I've never seen anyone scammed by a house seller. You can scam when it comes to the state of the house and the land around it, like for instance it can get flooded periodically, but you can't scam when it comes to the transaction itself. You both go to a notary, the seller presents all deeds that get verified by the notary and in extreme cases you can pool the books out of the town hall and check if the guy is the real owner. There's literally no way to scam here because it's not a fast deal. It often takes weeks before the transaction is finalized.

As far as the payment goes, usually deals are make in such way that you sign a deed and then you have a few days to get the money transferred. If you don't the transaction is nullified and if you do, you already have all the paperwork signed, so again, how is that not safe? I own 4 different properties and it was a very easy and clean deal with no need to prove anything using an NFT. We could technically agree to use bitcoin, because such form of payment is legally acceptable, but there's no need for an NFT proof. A tx in the blockchain is enough.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explain Bitcoin to A Second Grader in Four Sentences? on: January 22, 2024, 08:25:01 PM
Why stress kids by bugging them with Crypto?
Sometimes we tend to be too hard on kids that we stress them out by bugging them with complex stuff like crypto like come on let them enjoy their childhood. Lol Grin Grin

You don't understand OP. He or she wants to explain it to the mother the way a child would understand. It's not about getting kids into crypto but people that aren't tech savvy.

So, to answer the topic, She wants to know what the difference between bitcoin and crypto is and what mining is. In short, you can tell her that bitcoin is a type of crypto, but there are other types, the way Fords were the first popular cars, but now we a hundred brands. Bitcoin is the first ever digital currency working on its own, without an issuer, contrary to national fiat currencies like the dollar, which has an issuer (US Gov.) and can be digitalized (not to confuse with digitized) Bitcoin was made digital from the start.

Miners are the ones who process transactions because someone has to make the calculations necessary to encrypt and decrypt transactions. Without them anybody would be able to hijack your money, so they provide security and stability that allows the network to function. It's really easy if you don't overcomplicate it.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 22, 2024, 08:13:23 PM
I feel like the best way to treat patients with addictions is to separate them from it completely, not giving them even the slightest chances to return.

For example, when you have someone with eating disorder, who's overweight and sits at home all day eating and watching TV, you have to move them to a location where food is scarce, for example to a warm climate, preferable the seaside, maybe take them on a boat trip. The warm climate will make them burn more calories, there's no TV, no way to buy premade food.
It's the same with gambling addicts. They have to be moved to a place with no casinos and no Internet access. Then they have to be given something to do, like heavy workout routines, walks to the mountains, swimming, so when they go to bed they drop like a rock and sleep until morning.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 21, 2024, 09:10:45 PM
Technology brings a lot of new problems that our parents and grandparents did not face. On the other hand, they had their own problems, like communism, war, poverty, lack of technology, medicine, medical equipment.

I agree that we have to control what our kids do because they're going to be able to gamble at night in their rooms, using a small phone hidden under the pillow. You won't even know. This phone gives them access to online markets, porn, brutal movies and gambling.

It's not like gambling is the biggest problem of them all. I'd rather have my child gamble from time to time with the money that he or she earns, than have them buy drugs or alcohol. All addictions are bad, but some can be much worse.
291  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is signature payment for free on: January 21, 2024, 08:55:18 PM
The simple answer to your question is they obey free market laws. They want to spend money on campaigns because they did some research and the money turns into positive traffic on their sites. If they had no inflow of users, there would be no need for advertising on the forum.

I started doing this many years ago and at first I thought that these campaigns aren't going to last long. It's a year or 2 ahead of me and then it's over, but I was wrong.

They aren't going to request money back and even if they did you have the right to decline, since you did your job. They aren't paying you because they expect you to get bring them new people, or profit. They are asking you to wear a signature and post on the forum and that's what you do. The task is performed and the money is paid.
292  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: January 19, 2024, 07:16:49 PM
I think it's a matter of appearances, not whether Bitcoin is money or not. So they have a legal facade despite doing dubious things. There are casinos that have KYC limits in their ToS to which they turn a blind eye, especially while you are still losing, or that have a list of countries from which you cannot play but if you access the casino from those countries without VPN they also turn a blind eye, especially while you are losing.

A Curacao license is not a very prestigious thing either.

That's how the world is run, by making people feel like there's laws they have to uphold, but in reality all these laws are made by people who run the show for other people who run the show.
For example, you a small gambler, have to undergo KYC when you try to withdraw $500, which is even below the minimum that can be flagged by banks. Like in the EU they will not even care about anything below 1k EUR, which is like 1.1k USD, so banks won't care, governments won't care, but a casino will. Why? Because your personal data is worth more than $500, which is why many companies will pay you for referrals, provided that the other person goes through KYC. They don't care if you make them money as long as you bring real traffic and personal data for the company because that database boosts value of the company.

I never sell my data and I never do KYC. KYC enforced on small transaction is abusive.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 19, 2024, 07:03:37 PM
What's your thought about that picture, is it real or edicted?

Of course it's fake. You can see that her clothes were painted on. Why would they even change her dress and everything? Why not simply blur the face, or make her wear a Guy Fawkes mask. That would've been funny.

I'd say the win was real, but they made a picture and someone was concerned about the safety of the winner or something and some idiot decided to photoshop it and it came out looking like a joke. Like this whole thing was faked. The person responsible for allowing an inexperienced person to edit the photo and post it should be fired because it makes the whole operation look unprofessional.
294  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Everything is so logical the russia is the bad guy on: January 19, 2024, 06:23:09 PM
Im not afraid of nukes nobody will not use them.
It's more just fear but not for real.

It's a double negative. If nobody will not use them then somebody will Wink

Jokes aside, I'm not sure if Putin is completely sane. He uses nuclear arsenal as a deterrent saying that if attacked he will use them, but at the same time attacks other countries hoping that they won't. I'm also pretty sure that Ukrainians would nuke Russia if they had access to nukes, the same way that Palestinians would nuke Israel.
Knowing that, I think it's not a question if but when.

Take your idea of a war with NATO. NATO is much stronger than Russia, even if Russia was using Chinese weapons. It could prolong the war, but it wouldn't win it, mainly due to untrained army that would have to fight well trained artillery and tank crews from Germany, France and Sweden. Russia sends convicts to Ukraine because that's all they can do without weakening their borders. They expected a war that would last weeks and it's been years. What would happen if they started a war and lost it? Do you think NATO would push them back to the border and stop there? Defeated Russia might try to cover their escape with nuclear weapons.
295  Economy / Reputation / Re: Good riddance. on: January 19, 2024, 05:52:53 PM
Since it's not over yet, I wish you can overcome this. Don't lose hope, there's always a chance.
My father had cancer, but his biggest mistake was giving up years before he died. I remember him  telling me that we may not see each other again every time I came to visit and so it went for more than 5 years, until he finally got it right.

You're just a thin skinned DT Troll who now wants sympathy.

Your vote won't count when you are gone.

Death is a concept that reaches far beyond trust, trolling, or anything a person said. You had your differences, but this is like kicking a downed opponent. If this is true and he doesn't make it, no disputes between you two will have meaning anymore.
I often think about death and the only thing I'm afraid is not being to feel anymore. I'm pretty sure OP would rather take shit from you for the rest of his life than die and never feel anything anymore. I doubt he's seeking attention at this point. When you know the end is near you just want people to remember that you were there, you want them to know what happened to you.

296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Everything is so logical the russia is the bad guy on: January 18, 2024, 07:01:23 PM
The russia is the world bad guy well it look like russia is going to take half of Z countries starting from poland all the way up to finland so last stop sweden.

Take? Like what? Do you mean conquer? So, there's this thing called NATO. How do you expect Russia to "take" Finland Sweden and Poland if there are US troops stationed there?
How are they going to attack Finland if NATO (not counting USA) is overpowering Russia in the air?

First, there's Ukraine that Russia will never be able to conquer. It can win the war, but that win will only mean that Russia keeps disputed regions like Donbas. It doesn't mean Ukraine won't be hitting back if Russia starts a war with NATO.
To attack Finland, Russia would have to conquer Estonia, which has NATO forces stationed there, mainly from the UK. There's also Finnish-Estonian cooperation going back to the times when both countries defended against the Soviet Union. If you added together all the forces stationed around Finland in Norway, Sweden, it would alone be enough to stop Russia in its current state, especially with Ukraine hitting back in the South. In the following months you'd see combined NATO fleet secure the Gulf of Finland and destroy good old Leningrad and that would either trigger a nuclear war or make Russians rethink their moves.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 18, 2024, 06:39:07 PM
It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often,

A simple stupid thing like gambling is not worth ending your life. Don't do it, your life is so much bigger than this.

You'll be like a driver who crashed his car and decided to kill himself because he worked a few years to get it. Your life is so much longer and you can achieve much more. Everything that's lost can be regained, remember that. You can recall memories, fix bonds with friends. The only thing you cannot bring back is people.

Get someone to disconnect you from it. Make them drive you to the mountains, where there's no Internet, and no way for you to get back to the city on your own. Make them leave you enough food and supplies to survive and stay there for a few weeks. You'll calm down and feel so much better after.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 18, 2024, 06:12:57 PM
Then I have noticed a guy who was betting a dollar and did not cash out until rocket passes 10x.

This may look risky but it's really much worse than betting a thousand dollars and cashing out at small multipliers like 1.1. With Crash it's much better to bet big and cash out very early because the chancves of you getting to 10X are low. Sometimes you'll get there but you'll lose 12 rounds before that happens, being -$2 anyway.

Quote
I was also amazed how a guy bet 1k, and lost it when the rocket banged at 1.00x, then he immediately made another 1k bet and the rocket banged at 1.03x. Then I saw him winning +5k bucks.

He had a decent bankroll. Many people would get bankrupt playing like this.

I watch others when I play cards, sometimes backing their bets. It's not a bad strategy.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 18, 2024, 05:57:43 PM
All the people I know regret selling. We all had bitcoin in 2017 and some of us sold some as we approached 20k, while others held it and later panicked in the bear market, selling lower.

I bought a lot of electronics in the last 10 years using bitcoin gift cards. I still have most of it, but not all were essential purchases. I could use without some of them and have more bitcoin, especially that I thought myself smart and sold in bull markets. The problem of that was that there were more bull markets coming.

The truth is, holding without spending anything for years is boring. It's important to give yourself a treat from time to time.
300  Economy / Economics / Re: girl math vs boy math on: January 17, 2024, 07:35:42 PM
I know some smart girls who do business, so I wouldn't generalize. As a matter of fact, my richest neighbor is a woman and there's some really rich people living here, but she's on another level.
The example is good if we don't focus on genders, but rather on a situation an investor will find himself in when compared to a spender. Women are usually spenders, but it doesn't mean men can't be.
My father used to be a saver and he never made big money.

I sometimes feel like this all saving and investing is overrated. I've been in bitcoin for many years and I feel like we're being constantly abused by bad actors. It's scammers, market manipulators, politicians...
I admit that sometimes I feel like giving up and spending all my investments and showing off for a few years before I get too old to enjoy it.
