281  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Most secure wallets for Huge earnings... on: July 25, 2018, 07:44:16 PM
We are planning to build a mining farm pretty soon, but one aspect I was thinking about a lot is which wallet/s to Mainly depend on to save all my coins ??

I have been using coinbase and they are great, supporting android app and fast withdrawals etc... But is it really safe ?? and should i save my coins in one wallet or spread them across say 3 wallets ?... and is it a good idea to save your Huge earnings on your local windows PC (RAID10) + Daily backed up ? or should i just stick to coinbase wallet ? Of course we are talking about here potentially 0.1 BTC/mo which is relatively huge (IMO)...

another thing, what pools out there are really recommended for ASIC miners ?... I havent used any really coz am a nicehash guy Smiley

Hope this thread doesn't end up in the graveyard just like the previous ones for some reason !?!?  Huh

Thanks,
Wow. As for someone who have plans that big, I do not expect to see such question.
Anyway, coinbase is an exchange wallet. It means that you have no control over it so I wouldn't risk a big chunk of money stored. It is a good wallet for day-to-day uses tho.
You might want to consider purchasing a hardware wallet to store your money. It's safer than keeping your wallet on any device. Also make several copies of your wallets backup.

For your question about ASIC miners, here is an article which compares different btc mining hardware. It's stated in there that those list are the best of mining hardware but since I have no idea on mining, I don't also know if the website is legit.

283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone teach me? on: July 25, 2018, 06:41:47 PM
is there anyone here who can teach me to play poker with BTC and ETH bets?  Huh
I highly suggest that you learn how to play first before trying to be with real money. Poker is not a game where you can easliy win. Take on their suggestion to learn the rules first.
Btw, there are actually sites which have a free play where you can use their fake money to play just for fun instead of betting with btc or eth.

How to organize an effective Bounty campaign?
All bounty managers uses a spreadsheet to record bounty participants automatically. This makes their job more simple and easier. If you have no idea on how to manage one, I highly suggest that you hire a skilled bounty manager to do the work.

293  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong quality ng post ang nais ng mga Pinoy merit source? on: July 09, 2018, 04:59:02 AM
The simpler, the better.
For me mas magbibigay ako ng merit sa hindi ganitong klase ng post:

Informative sya, yes.

Im also a beginner or simply called "newbie"
294  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Newbie Welcome Thread on: July 08, 2018, 08:40:46 PM
Ang imtoken po ba nakakatanggap ng mga token na galing sa bounty?wala kasi ko pc para gumawa ng MEW eh..
Yes. As long as Ethereum based ang tokens/coins. Tho I'm not sure how safe IMtoken is.
Pwede mo nga pla gamitin ang MEW sa smartphone website mo.
295  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC POP on: July 08, 2018, 07:15:54 PM
Hi friends,

Can you please post your experience with https://btcpop.co/ . I am thinking of investing some money in the shares over there . So please post any material or non-material information here .

Thanks !!
It's a legit site. I've had some few loans in there before and users in there are actually nice and helpful. They also have loan policies that actually helps secure the investors/lenders funds. There are different loan types that can attract different kind of borrowers so yea. Just ask in their chat.
Be sure to take precaution still tho. Lending can really be a risky type of investment.

297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make a portfolio? on: July 07, 2018, 01:54:12 PM
Hi! I'm just want to know how to make a portfolio so that I can go for an exchange. I have get my coins from a bounty campaign and there are many exchange that are available for it and I want to go for now. What to do? How can I make a portfolio ? Is portfolio really needed or if you just want to have one? Thanks in advance.

Since I assume that not all the coins you received in the bounty programs you participated in have any good worth, I think it's best for you to sell the coins which you think has no potential and use the funds to invest in the good ones  Invest on currencies with a solid background. Install a portfolio tracker like the ones suggested by the other person above.
Here's a good article to read: https://coincentral.com/how-to-build-a-proper-cryptocurrency-trading-portfolio/
298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcointalk username can be change ? on: July 07, 2018, 03:57:19 AM
Or just become a donetor Cheesy

<...>

Q: I want to change my forum username. What should I do?
A: You can either donate 50 BTC to become a VIP or PM theymos asking to change your username (although he rarely accepts such requests nowadays).

<...>

IIRC there are some rare cases that theymos can change your username without donating or being a vip.
An example was Blazed.

There has been a few instances where "normal" people names have been changed.
It's not really mentioned because I suppose staff doesn't want to be overloaded with requests.

299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why still Jr.Member?? on: July 06, 2018, 11:38:26 PM
I saw some members are still on the Jr member Position.but they earn lots of activities.some ones are on 200 or 300.
Honestly I am confused by what you meant here but I assume this has something to do with potential activities. Some users have this if they haven't reach their max activity (meaning they haven't posted enough). Users get 14 potential activity every 2 weeks (activity update).

You can read more about potential activities here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2173796.0

I saw some members are still on the Jr member Position.
This is because of the newly implemented merit system where you have to get merits and activities at the same time to be able to rank up.

some ones are on 200 or 300.but only gain one or two merits.some Hero Members and
Legendary Members have more merits than activities.
Merits are not earned because of the activities that a user have. It is earned by not spamming the forum (ie. being actually helpful and constructive).

How can I get merits to climb up.....
I highly suggest you to first fix your sentence construction and know how to use the proper punctuation marks.

May I ask why you are so eager to rank up soon?
300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who Can Explain Blockchain to 5th Graders? on: July 06, 2018, 11:06:20 PM
Hi there,

I'm a writer and new to this whole blockchain game. I would love to learn more about blockchain and be able to explain in the simplest way so the everyday person with no blockchain background can grasp the beauty of this technology. Can someone please try to breakdown the explanation of blockchain to the point where a 5th grader can understand it? Thanks!

You can try searching in google. There are videos and articles that explains how blockchain works in the simplest way they can.
An example of this is here:

in here:

a video explaining to a kid:

I hope this gives you an idea.
