281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities using Bitcoin today? on: January 19, 2020, 07:54:14 PM
I am hoping that because of Akon launching his own currency for his own city. Wow, what a visionary. Not only his own currency but his own town. Amazing. I am hoping this will start some sort of snowball effect with other Celebs around the world and maybe inspire them to create their own currencies or even to just invest in crypto. It will also bring more attention to the masses of people who do not yet know of bitcoin. "It must be good if xxxx celeb wears it" so that will work well.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people still create new ERC20 tokens/projects nowadays? on: January 19, 2020, 07:14:16 PM
Before making silly posts like this why do you not teach yourself what erc20 is? You should know that every single token on the bounty section is ecr20 so obviously they coming out with new ones daily. Please stop asking such stupid questions.

ICO is just a distribution method and has nothing to do with the type of coin or how legit it is.
283  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best methods for sending BTC with low fees? on: January 19, 2020, 06:59:09 PM
Use another currency? If you sending bitcoin and you want it to cost a little that means you are sending small amounts. So if so rather use another currency like eth or doge. When you used over $100 use bitcoin.
I don't see how the fee on $100 is an issue. Are you trying to save cents? If you making big transactions you don't care about cents. Sigwit is best and I use mycelium the fees are good.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users on: January 19, 2020, 06:56:46 PM
Someone who has just entered the market can come into contact with fraudsters in some way. People think that bitcoin is a means to make themselves rich. Scammers can deceive people with these promises. Research is needed first.
This creates a negative impact to bitcoin too. As these scammers take advantage of people who know little to none about bitcoin but dove in anyway. They can give bad remarks about cryptocurrencies which could then lead to a lowered if not heavily reduced amount of people who invest in cryptocurrencies. Proper knowledge is truly needed to ensure that everyone is aware of what really bitcoin is or at the very least what it is truly meant for.
New users are the small fishes that get easily caught in the net of scammers. Their lack of knowledge makes them more vulnerable to frauds and the lose they face leaves a bad impact in their minds. This discourage them and they do not want to invest more. The key to success in crypto market is complete know how about the market, the strategies scammers adopt and how to be safe from them. This will add a good experience in their book of business and will invest more.

These are obvious scams though and should bring flags. Even if someone is not sure that is fine but then they can just invest a small amount. If new users only made small investments then the scams would die away and not make enough money. I understand someone is new and may not think it is a scam but they should still have a bad feeling about it and take safe precautions like investing only small amounts. They only have themselves to blame for their own foolishness.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] Bitcoin is a fraud where a gift record is presented as a market item on: January 18, 2020, 07:40:18 PM
The explanation on this video is totally BS! I think who created this video totally hate bitcoin because he only learned it lately and cannot afford to buy because its too valuable like gold, go and make another video entitled "fiat is fraud".
What's wrong with hating frauds? What's wrong with warning people about frauds? Especially people in a community that has most fraud victims?

Fiat currencies are fraud? Based on what have you concluded that? On corrupt governments abusing fiat monetary system? That's like saying that houses and cars are fraud because governments are destroying them in wars.

Fiat currencies are not fraud. They are actual market items that grant its holders the non-monetary repayments, which realises prior to every loan payment, as explained in the video. Cryptocurrencies on the other hand, are records (gift records/scheme membership records) that are falsely presented to the public as market items. For that reason they are fraud. This won't change by calling someone hater.

Why are you even here? Why don't you piss off. Btw the robot voice makes me not want to even listen to the shitty video. Wtf is a gift item? Bitch I can spend my bitcoin on anything I want right now without bs from banking systems and restrictions. With fiat I wait so long to be paid and have payment "clear" it takes days sometimes. Also fiat continuously weakens by like %5-%8 a year because of inflation. Fiat loses value all the time. Better buy gold and sell small amounts when you need fiat.

Did you just register to this forum to argue like an idiot? Please get a life. Go learn a skill or something. Go better yourself. If you don't like bitcoin that's fine. Why you waste your time on something you do not believe in I don't know. I think it is the attention you get.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought this stuff with Bitcoin, great way for people to become aware of Bitcoin on: January 18, 2020, 07:28:57 PM
I always show people what I have bought with bitcoin and even send them a link to where I buy from and the onlinemarkets that accept bitcoin. They are impressed and surprised by the online markets accepting bitcoin since there is so much to buy on there. There are still people today who think you cannot spend bitcoin because it is not "real money" (even some in the forum) so showing them with proof is a good idea. Best is action over talk.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Reconsider Holding altcoins on: January 17, 2020, 07:52:16 PM
Portfolio rebalancing is one of the most important parts, you cannot hold the same altcoins forever. But investing big amounts right now, by selling alts that dropped by x10, is not the best idea at the moment and I would definitely wait.
Wait for what? If an altcoin has lost more than 90% of its value and it is not one of the top coins in the market I can assure you that such a coin is not going to ever recover, it is better to sell it now and obtain whatever you can out of it, I know that no one wants to do that because it is really difficult to admit that you have made a mistake and that such a mistake has cost you some much money but if you want to improve as a trader that is something that you will have to do.

Holding altcoins for the long term has never been a good idea, you should always be ready to get rid of them in the case something goes wrong but newbies keep ignoring this advice and they suffer the consequences of it.
I agree with some points, the need to hold altcoins lost its meaning in the bear market. If the trader decided to get rid of the specific altcoin due to the poor result, it happens because of the bear market. In case of having a another alternative based on good prediction, selling the last trade in loss is acceptable. Otherwise, jumping from one to another altcoin is timewasting in a downtrend, the consequences will be the same.
I forgot about that and you are right, selling your altcoins means that you will have to buy something else with your money if you decide to keep yourself in this market and it will be a huge mistake that after you invested in an altcoin that made you lose so much money that you once again decide to invest in an altcoin just so you could lose even more money, at this point in the market there are only two good investment options, the first one is to invest your money in bitcoin and the second is to get out of this market until you understand it better.

None of those two options seems that attractive right now and I get it but compared to investing in altcoins they are great options.

It's best to sell your altcoins when the price is right for you. Do not get too greedy but also make sure you make a good profit. If you feel the profits are good enough you can sell. If the price drops after that you can always buyback. Only keep good coins with value based on what they can be used for a long term. EVerything else just sell while the progit is in the green esspecially if you have a lot invested. With smaller investment d you can take more of a risk and hold on to them for longer.
288  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bitcoinreward - Easy Earning With Offer Walls and 50% Commission System! on: January 17, 2020, 07:47:59 PM
I love that you only need your bitcoin address to register and email is optional. The rewards for registering and getting email verified are high and generous. The website is nice and easy to navigate.
I recommend you get more of a variety of offer pages by joining other networks. 50% for ref is also generous and should help you a lot for bringing in new users.
289  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free bitcoin earning on: January 17, 2020, 07:38:58 PM
I knew it! Bitcoin faucets again Roll Eyes. Here's my advice, don't ever fall in this kind of platforms because first, it is such a waste of your time. Yeah! You may feel motivated at first because of the fact that you're earning coins but lately you will realized that those small fractions of btc are not worthy to of your time. And second, a lot of these faucets are scams and phishing nowadays so your efforts might be wasted if you pick the wrong one.

If you really want to earn some good btc then start investing while the bearish days last. When you grew then you may consider to try trading or mining.

Disagree with this, not everybody has money to invest. Also since 2014 I've made around 0.9 bitcoin just from faucets and micro earning sites in my spare time. It helped that back in 2014 faucets would pay a few hundred sats per hour, it was easy to make 10k satoshi a day.

You also don't earn things for free. If you have to earn something it is not free. They just use the word free for marketing and SEO. How long did it take you to make that 0.9btc? During which period? Do you still do it?
I do remember in 2015 being paid up to 1000 satoshi. Freebitcoin use to pay 1000 satoshi per claim at one point.

This is a link to a free browser that connects with your google chrome, it is just as fast it only generates some bitcoin while you use it, you should check it out 😃
https://get.cryptobrowser.site/10533448

This is a very misleading program made to bait new users. You cannot mine bitcoin effectively on a pc. You will make a few satoshi a day only. It is not worth it. This cannot possibly payout well unless it also shows ads. But mining with a cpu will not even make you $0.001 a day and I am not exaggerating check for yourself. Even GPU mining on alt coins you make between $0.20-$1 a day mining 24/7 at full power.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoW to PoS question on: January 17, 2020, 07:26:44 PM
I think it will remain the same. It will be levelled out. I like pos because you do not have to worry about maintaining miners and the worry they one day break down. No extra electricity cost since it just runs on your pc in the background. The entry-level is much lower and so the risk is fatless. Miners are a very costly investment costing thousands of dollars compared to Pos which costs a few hundred dollars. Of course you get pos coins that cost just as much as mining.
291  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Expresscrypto] PTCL Faucet Script (Paid To Click Shortlinks) on: January 16, 2020, 06:53:46 PM
Ok everything is working great. I got my expresscrypto api and token and tested it and it works just fine. I am so happy. There is one thing though. How come I cant add my own link to the shortlnks?? I have to put just url.
I would have liked to use other peoples shorteners to also shortlink my own offers and monotonize it further. I did make my own shortener though so at least those I can add my own page it still would have been better to use it for all shorteners. Anyway nice script. Very happy.

One thing. How do I stop the shortlinks from rotating? If it rotates then it doesn't matter what earnings I put since it will be random so a high paying shortener could be used for low pay or the other way around. It defeats their purpose of even being able to change the earnings. May as well keep them all the same since its random.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One solid reason that I came across for the need of BitCoins. <Be Your own Bank> on: January 15, 2020, 07:57:15 PM
For me, it was mostly being financially free. The freedom of being paid no matter where I am without the confides and restriction imposed by the banking system and government.
No need to register with my ID and proof of residence and income. It stays private how it should be. Being paid from abroad with a method that is almost instant is much better than banking where things can go wrong and stuff can take time and there all kinds of fees involved with exchanging the currency and using their system then still banking fees. With crypto, it is just transaction fees and it is much more simple to understand.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Analysis company that trains students to detect cryptocurrency scams on: January 15, 2020, 07:30:23 PM
According to CipherTrace The cost of robberies, scams and fraud had already reached more than $ 4 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2019,

I'm not advocating crime, but has anyone ever seen a report that shows the estimated value of how many theft involving Hyip/ponzi sites have? What is the value of theft involving hyip/ponzi sites? Credit cards are also theft targets, this is not just a problem of the crypto world, it is a general problem. If there is money or anything of value, then scammers will be around. In the case of the crypto world people need to do more research on the projects that will invest money.

Precisely. As long as there is something worth stealing there will be some scum who wants to steal it. People who support "fall" for HYIP/Ponzi are assholes and deserve to lose what they invested that is how they learn and stop being stupid. Some never learn and will fall over and over for it. People with so much greed are ruining the crypto world by giving support to crime which only encourages more of it. After all if no one entertained the scammers there would be none left.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest crypto mystery still revolves around Satoshi’s identity on: January 15, 2020, 07:23:41 PM
nowadays Satoshi's identity has turned into a source of income for different people! from these low quality website that keep creating clickbaits to the big scammers like CSW everyone is trying to make some money from it!
the worst part is that there has not been anything new for at least half a decade. everything is the repetition of all that has been rehashed a million times.

Exactly !mate,  I don't understand why people still follow and believe anything others create or post about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.  People need to know and understand that knowing the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is not really necessary of mass adoption of bitcoin and it will not add any value of it.
Right, knowing his identity has no business with anyone of us. Whoever he is, what he has created is helping us in many ways and we should focus on it. Instead of focusing on who Is the creator we should focus on how we can use it in our daily lives, how we can create awareness among people about it and how it can change our lives. As it is the best alternative of national currencies and can be used in many ways, people should focus on this point.

I don't see the big deal in knowing who he/she/they are. It won't make a lick of difference. We will never know and they will never reveal themselves. Just think of all the drama. I think people who waste their time about who is satoshi or being very foolish. It is like the crypto version of the paparazzi.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much projects, good projects cant reach crypto ethusiasts on: January 15, 2020, 06:55:22 PM
It isn't that there are too many projects. Many projects is a good thing. The problem is there is a plague of scams and you need to ade through seas of shit to find good projects. It is fairly easy to skip over projects and find ones that are top quality and people should start doing that and not worrying about everything else. Focus on the best projects and then work your way down from there.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 67,1% of micro businesses do not know what cryptocurrencies are. on: January 14, 2020, 07:39:10 PM
I am surprised and this is a large amount. about 30% of micro-businesses are willing to accept crypto. I think they need to broaden the search though and ask people from different places about it and more people too.
Otherwise, it might be skewed results. I like that there is so much support I just feel 30% is far too high. If it is 30% then why is that 30% not accepting crypto payments and if they are how many of them are.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the future ?? on: January 14, 2020, 06:09:11 PM
it all depends on the quality of altcoin itself, not all old altcoins die, for example like LTC, it still survives until now. the number of altcoins that died because of lack of enthusiasts and supporting communities. unlike bitcoin, which already has a majority of supporters for its future, because it is the first in the cryptocurrency world.

Nothing will die as long as you can use it. Most altcoins you cannot use and are only based on the speculation and hopes that the price will rise and that is the only reason people buy it. It would be much better if people only started supporting tokens and other cryptos that had real-world case use. Then people would buy those tokens and crypto to use them without even thinking of the value. It will also be better for people only interested in investing for the value sine if it has a use then the demand will increase and holding makes more sense for a bigger payout.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin on: January 13, 2020, 02:06:37 AM
It should be easy since everyone uses a phone these days and just look at how many people of the total population are using FB. People are more tech-savvy than ever before. I bet I could teach a 2 or 3-year-old how to use bitcoin. They just won't be handing something physical over but rather digital and is easier for a child to grasp that concept than an adult.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: free advertising for btc? on: January 12, 2020, 08:08:10 PM
Yes. They think they are giving it a bad name by bad-mouthing crypto but really they just bringing light to it and making people very curious. I mean if a president is against it then it must be awesome.
It just brings much-needed awareness. This sort of thing use to upset me but now honestly guys it really is just helping us promote crypto. It doesn't mean people are believing what any od those fools say they are just listening and allowing their curiosity to lead them the rest of the way.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts about Bitcoin adoption on: January 12, 2020, 07:16:52 PM
I think adoption is going great. I can use bitcoin to pay for so many things. I can also use altcoins as well. Many Dapp and games support altcoins and it is becoming more and more common. Many websites you can earn money on are now using crypto as a withdraw method as well. I see it often with referral type work and other networks. I like that I am in control and that it is quick and easy. No bother from the bank.
