Perhaps later one of our future projects will inspire more confidence in you and you will decide to invest at that point.

I'll consult the Magic 8-ball:

Quote
Very Doubtful

I would correct you that the IPO cost of outstanding shares is 250BTC, not 500BTC as you quoted.

You still want BTC500. That you want BTC250 in the form of bitcoin and BTC250 in the form of sunshine, rainbows, warm fuzzies, and cheers of AMAZING COMPANY projected upon your self esteem doesn't much change that you are asking for BTC500 in value. That is unless you consider your own stake worthless or at least worth less than BTC250 yourself.

Web development and deployment is not free, nor is the acquisition of existing platforms. The development of SatoshiSquared.com alone exceeded $5000, and the additional projects will require even more.

Of course things have costs. Covering the costs of things you can not self finance is a motivation for seeking investment, generally in exchange for seeking or receiving investment some sort of return in the form of dividends would be ideal. At a minimum though shares should represent some sort of transferable equity.

And though you think offering:

Quote
A full list of shareholders and the number of shares of each will be maintained by Gee Unlimited for distributing dividends. These dividends will be paid the first day of every month. Anyone requiring a verification of shares or a transfer of shares should contact us here through PM.

and

Quote
Gee unlimited looks forward to players in the exchange space creating passthrough securities once the IPO has completed.

means, you aren't offering a reasonable market for these shares.

Additionally having to hope into eternity that your forum account is never hacked/phished or otherwise compromised Further hope is needed that you are consistently honest in your dealing through PMs. Hope is a poor substitute for security and verifiability.

There are numerous other problems with your proposal. Read moar, study moar, and stop presenting the arrangement of the bits of corn in your turds as investment opportunities until then.
282  Economy / Securities / Re: <<< Gee Unlimited>>> on: September 20, 2013, 02:31:36 PM
Actually, I read that very post quite some time ago. I did find it somewhat helpful, although I felt it could use a little polish to smooth out the sharp edges.

If you wish to bring an argument, bring an argument. Vaguely disagreeing with unnamed points achieves nothing other than making it look like indeed, you did not read (and by read I mean process and understand the words individually and as a whole, not mindlessly scan) the thing.

It appears you are looking for arguments where none exist. If you have specific questions that you would like to offer up, I would be more than happy to attempt to address them.

I believe by argument they mean you note what "sharp edges" exist and you suggest remedies both general and specific. There would probably be two possible outcomes: you make a case for actual improvements and they might be considered or you muck that certain things like identifying yourself or identifying actors in the bitcoin space don't feel or seem necessary.

You are rightly drawing criticism because instead of answering concerns with arguments constructed from reason and cohesive thoughts you post crap like:

Will those opportunities be new sources of profits for investors, or will the profits only come from satoshisquared?

Sorry for asking the dumb questions but it isn't quite clear to me. Wink

Gee Unlimited is an "umbrella" for multiple income streams. SatoshiSquared.com is the first of what is expected to be many. In addition to development we also expect the acquisition of additional existing income streams, although development of new and innovative systems remains our focus. It is germane to note that we are based in the US, and must comply with all US regulations. This will out of necessity require that we do not invest in pure "gambling" websites as they are prohibited under current statutes.

This. You have one pseudogambling website where looking at the front page the income stream seems as though it may be reasonably be measured in Satoshis. Maybe with gambling you might be able to create more serious revenue streams, but based on your sample site http://satoshisquared.com/ your single example portfolio of work doesn't do much to offer confidence that you could deliver the large number of sites you hint at, any of which might have substantial revenue much less profit.

So instead you come and beg the forum for BTC500. Why BTC500? Maybe it is a nice even round number? The problem with it though is it doesn't seem like any sort of market influences have shaped it hinting that its origins may be rectal in nature. If you can't see the problem with asking for somewhere between a Corvette and a Dodge Viper's worth of BTC at today's prices in exchange for you offering the BTC equivalent of a fart app, vague promises, and polite dismissals.
283  Economy / Securities / Re: [Official Thread] SolarWind, A Bitcoin Mining Company - 100TH/s Mining Farm on: September 20, 2013, 01:58:28 PM

I have worked out most of the details on the way shares will work, so I will share with you what the overall points are about the share values and payouts...

There are four types of shares:
  • BitShares+ (Upgradable)
  • Standard Shares
  • Founders Shares
  • Company Reserve Shares (CRShares)

All shares will provide Double Return on Initial Investment (DROII) except CRShares, 1 BTC invested = 2 BTC DROII

The Details,..

BitShares:
  • Equal to BTC invested, 0,001 BitShare = 0,001 BTC (To clarify: BitShares have a one-to-one value with Bitcoin. In other words, 0,001 BTC = 0,001 BitShares and 0,0005 BTC= 0,0005 BitShares. A BitShare can be any amount under 0,5 BTC so you can fund your BitShare account with bitcoin from a free bitcoin faucet if you like, or better yet, use that USB Block Erupter to actually make a ROI! Thanks BRADLEYPLOOF for making me aware that I didn't make that clear enough. P.S We are offering the USB Block Erupters at a price below the current price for new buyers, contact BRADLEYPLOOF for details.)
  • A BitShare is considered to be any account that has less than 0,5 BTC
  • Any amount of BTC held in an account below 0,5 BTC is automatically converted into BitShares
  • BitShares do not payout directly, instead BitShare funds are automatically reinvested into more BitShares until there is enough BTC in the account to invest in either a Standard Share or a Founders Shares, you will have the opportunity to upgrade to the share type of your choice
  • Because BitShares have a compulsory reinvestment period, Bitshares are given a credit of 10% for deposits (e.g., 0,001 BTC invested will equal a total of 0,0011 BTC in the account)

Standard Shares:
  • 0,5 BTC
  • Payout - 1 BTC
  • Once the share has been doubled the share holder will still continue to earn BTC from the Standard Share Hash Pool, each shareholders portion of the Standard Share Hash Pool is divided evenly between all Standard Shareholders

Founders Shares:
  • 1,5 BTC
  • Payout - 3 BTC
  • Sooner payout than Standard Shares and will also continue to earn BTC from the Founders Share Hash Pool, also divided equally between all Founders Shareholders
  • Founders Share Hashing Pool will be smaller by percentage than the Standard Share Hash Pool but will also have a position in the CRShare Hash Pool, the target is to get the Founders Shares to payout 15-20% more per BTC than Standard Shares, buying Founders Shares involves more risk and will require that the partner wait a little longer for some of the benifits to be payed out but Founders Shareholders will be the first to have the opportunity to make additional profits, Founder Shareholders will also have access to exclusive investment opportunities

Company Reserve Shares:
  • These are the companies shares and will always be 51% of all shares
  • Payout - 1.5 BTC
  • CRShare funds are used to purchase more mining hardware, make payroll, pay for advertising campaigns and various promotions to encourage the usage of bitcoin in the general public, Founders Share bonuses, additional bonuses to shareholders, maintain facilities, security, expansion, upgrading equipment and other needs of the company
  • In addition, there is a portion of mining income that is held for the unexpected cost experienced by every business, these funds (Variance Funds) are needed to protect the company and the shareholder, at the end of every year the company will be evaluated and it will be determined whether or not to release the Variance Fund (or a portion of) to the shareholders

I will be providing a method for investors to mine for their shares if they would like to do so or only have limited hashing power, this will be provided through the Bitshare option (more on this at a later time.)

A Note on the Double Return of Initial Investment (DROII): All funds used to payout the DROII are generated by the specific hardware that those share funds where used to purchase, the income from mining on specific rigs will not be used for anything else except for Variance Funds or CRShares needed to keep the company operational.

+SolarWind BitShares are not associated with the 'BitShares P2P trading platform'

With the bitcoin mining landscape being characterized by runway increases in difficulty for the near future do you really need to throw a MLM type structure onto the shares with all of the negative connotations that brings to this already questionably valued asset?

What sort of contingency plan do you have for an event in which you can't meet the promised returns? Given the history of most attempts at mining investments, are there plans for a potential failure beyond taking the money and walking briskly into the sunset?

Looks rather interesting. I'll have to try it.

Are you really mining space or is pretend?

Of course we are.

We are starting to deliver miners 16th September. Check out my posts. I will make an announcement as our account will be validated to make posts in marketplace area Smiley

I think you forgot your sarcasm tags too...
287  Economy / Securities / Re: KLYEMINING Project on: September 12, 2013, 09:43:55 AM
Atruk! I appreciate the nod on Sparklecoin..

And I believe I heard wind of Roman Candle Butt Bullion in talks.. But I personally will not be attempting this stunt.. I will admit if it is done that sparklecoin is the past then and that (RCBB) is the future.

I hoped to inspire people by me going one level more advanced then Buttcoin.. Waiting for a hip new entrepreneur to take on the next legendary asscoin step.

Thanks for the kind words!

Is recoil the issue?
288  Economy / Securities / Re: KLYEMINED Project on: September 12, 2013, 07:40:31 AM
And Sparklecoin was revolutionary. No one else has the testicular fortitude nor the balls of steel to pull such stunts.

This is true, and I salute you for it.

Maybe you should start a fund for Bitcoin stunt earnings where you allow other people to somehow monetize your stunts?

Thank you for your kind words sir! SOMEONE had to evolve Buttcoin.. I'm just glad I was the one to do so. Hopefully no one attempts a knock off!
Klyecascius mint is retired on anything asscoin related for the foreseeable future unfortunately. Time to focus on less artistic projects.
I hope that the KLYEMINED project goes full on and is able to reach its planned phases quickly and becomes quite profitable to all involved!
(and just in case you had any question of me burning myself during that minting, you best believe I did! Tongue)

Also, to anyone who has read this thread in entirety. I apologize for blowing my gasket. I've been fairly stressed as of recently.. And I in no way mean to justify me flying off the handle like that. I lost my temper with 3 trolls attacking me like that.

I hope in the future I can maintain my composure a little better, I am embarrassed in the way I reacted and I hope people do not think of me as a whackadoo for getting so angry with KoS and company. I reacted poorly, and I apologize again for any uncomfort or ill taste left in ones eyes.

Cheers everyone!

Kyle T

I do have to say though I do respect a lot of the people who were criticizing this venture, some of which I have traded with and had very pleasant experiences.

When you were still on CoinChat I pointed out the part where, "Hey avoiding dice might be a good idea" but then I saw the stills from the Sparklecoin venture. Bitcoin could use a daredevil. Bitcoin could use more actual financiers like MP instead of moar mining bond tards. Do what you do well, or else someone is going to have to jump on Roman Candle Coin.

And seriously about the mood shit. Lamotrigine, Maybe lamotrigine plus lithium, but lamotrigine might do you some good.

Be a daredevil, not a Swede!
289  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why not just ban any trades, 1 mbtc < $1 ?! on: September 12, 2013, 07:07:38 AM
IPOs will do this always, right? They start with a base price, but of course they can go down.

May be exchanges should adopt smaller units. People will surely like to buy more units, then sub units. Say, 1 btc for $200 sounds like a steep entry point, but 5 mbtc for a dollar sounds better. Now that you have 5 units, and it feels better.

This isn't about what sounds better, it is about what is. You might be proud of your sew ins, but you are still wearing weave.
290  Other / MultiBit / Re: Windows 8 code signing / User Account Control working on: September 12, 2013, 02:29:58 AM
Yeah, proving residential addresses is something required for AML/KYC purposes as well. It'd be interesting to find a way to make that process faster and more reliable, though I don't have any great ideas. I thought about something like "use OAuth to grant website.com access to your Google location history" on the assumption that a long term location history is somewhat hard to forge, but then again I don't know how hard they think it is to forge utility bills. It seems strange that they'd consider a credit card bill easy to forge given that to get one you need a bank account, and the bank itself does a check of residential address.

I guess they figure for utilities you wouldn't be paying them unless you were living there. I find Google location history even more problematic though, because usually Google misses me by about 35 - 45 miles.
291  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: anyone know the actual physical address of coinabul so i can serve lawsuit? on: September 12, 2013, 02:24:34 AM
2710 Thomes Ave, Cheyenne WY, 82001.

That address is an incorporation farm. Hundreds to thousands of companies use it. Hence, this thread looking for a physical address.

Not a big fan of Reuters calling Wyoming the Great Plains though when clearly it is in the Mountain West.

I have to admit it nice of Jay to add his other entities to the top of the list on his Bitcoin Friday site.

BitcoinFriday is my site.

It was my idea, my work, my hosting, my initial funds.

I added Coinabul as a sponsor without cost because I was at that point invested in the company (time, not money).

Unfortunately I also chose to store the domain registration under a Coinabul account at Name.com.

When I left the company Jay took all the domains in that account (including a couple domains with my full name in them) and transferred them to his account.

I've been asking for a couple months to get those domains back. So far no dice. No communication other than "Too busy".

This is especially infuriating because BitcoinFriday2013 (which is going to be massive!) is scheduled for November 15th. I've registered an alternative address for the meantime, but I lose a lot of SEO juice without the root BitcoinFriday domain.

This really sucks. He's hopped on IRC more than a few time.
292  Other / MultiBit / Re: Remove MtGox USD from MultiBit? on: September 12, 2013, 02:13:10 AM
Please vote!!!

Nobody is using MtGox these days, the price is $5-$10 higher than the real BTC price.

It is too optimistic to have such a high price in MultiBit, it makes you think you are richer than normal  Grin

Vote to change the MultiBit price to another exchange, like BitStamp, or BitPay blended price..... https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-exchange-rates

I agree that Gox shouldn't be the default price, but

That can be disabled in the view tab/preferences on the drop down and two different exchange options as well as curreny can be changed

This.

Also there are some people who want to know how far out of sync Gox is. Knowing how much of a premium #Goxfail is might be useful.
293  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why not just ban any trades, 1 mbtc < $1 ?! on: September 12, 2013, 01:55:00 AM
Why not agree all exchanges together, and set base price for 1mbtc as $1, and not allow any trades which quote less than that?

Do you think this will stop all trades? No. Or, may be for an hour or two there won't be any trades, but I think, somehow further trades will proceed.

Is it even possible, to do so?

This will just create a huge market opportunity for exchanges that don't agree, and won't do anything to OTC trading. The market won't trade at that rate until the market finds that rate to be the rate.

295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Computer just for coin transactions. on: September 09, 2013, 06:53:32 AM
So Linux or Apple?

Linux, simply so much of what is useful in bitcoin is made with Linux users as first class citizens.

I'm a really big fan of the Lenovo low end X-series (X120e-X131e). The Wi-fi card is accessible to unplug easily so you can make sure it stays offline. Then you install Linux on a decent SSD and make sure you have enough RAM. If you are really paranoid you can use something like this to take things to the next level.

Use Armory to sign transactions and make wallets.

As far as new vs. old computers go New computers might have NSA spyware, but old computers risk having spyware and compromises the previous owner picked up. What you want in a dedicated machine though is to keep it offline broadcasting transactions and other secure communications from a reasonably clean computer (or random coffeeshop computer).

It's really just a matter of how deep you want to go down the paranoia hole.
296  Economy / Securities / Re: Fanpas.com sports betting pre-IPO plan on: September 06, 2013, 07:43:30 PM
I am trying the site.
First, it's really slow and I don't understand how to bet. It looks like it's just a list of coming matches and you can't do anything.
I don't understand the decision of having a mobile site either, and a ridiculous "PC" version where you have to stare at a fake phone and hand. We have responsive web design now.

This is a problem. More to the point though...

Pff kakobrekla we all know you just want cheap shares.

To the Sun!

I thought it was to the moon? Anyway, the only place this is going is towards Mariana trench. Before or after ipo.

It can go lower, they'll find the drill when they bottom out the trench.

This is headed to the core!
297  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitvillage.net is a phishing site! He is using it to collect passwords! on: September 05, 2013, 10:52:11 PM
End of the day you have 12 posts here, run some shitty wordpress site that I have proven to be easily spamfucked and have pissed on the only guy who was helping you with your broken ass site..

This stretches as much as scotaloo saying he's doing a "security audit" on users he phished. Leaving you negative feedback, spammers that abuse BTC incentive sites are untrustworthy, no matter how you try to justify it. Also, FYI you're banned from coinchat.

I'm also particularly interested by the trust feedback you left for MPOE-PR. I don't believe MPOE-PR has ever conducted a trade on this forum, MP pretty much only trades on IRC, and MRKYLE returns zero matches on the IRC logs.

MP gave me a BTC a while ago for a buttcoin.

And Trilema supports this story. MRKLYE risked his sphincter for BTC from MP. http://trilema.com/2013/perfect-money-corrupts-absolutely/

299  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinSports.eu - Bitcoin Sportsbook - PLAY or INVEST - No Registration! on: September 05, 2013, 10:38:39 AM
It seems a shame that bets just aren't being settled without being prompted.  I used to work at Betfair when they were starting up and sometimes overnight bets would be left unsettled or very occassionally someone would forget a market and it wouldn't be paid out for days or until someone complained.  That was very definitely the exception rather than the rule.

If Bit365 is a 1 man team, it must be a lot of work for him, but if he wants to actually thrive he needs to step up the settlement speed.  Then people will bet more often too, I personally will not bet again if I have unsettled bets from a day or 2 ago.  As I say, it is a shame; the football (soccer) markets are very good and competitively priced.  Maybe he should reduce the other markets offered and stick to simple "to win" or simple line markets until he can get everything in order.

They used to be fast. I'd only get bets that hung in limbo very infrequently using them. They were very responsive to problems I had.

Now though... These delays in grading and payment are incredibly uncomfortable, especially when they are happening to so many people. It's hard not to wonder when a bet goes more than a day if the coins aren't going to come back. It also becomes impossible to recommend this book to other people looking to make bets.
300  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinSports.eu - Bitcoin Sportsbook - PLAY or INVEST - No Registration! on: September 03, 2013, 09:15:07 PM
http://bitcoinsports.eu/bet/d7337 (should be a push) has been stuck a while now... It seems the investment taking really degraded the service this book offers. I love this book and its accountless betting ways, but... These uncharacteristic delays wear on my patience and my desired betting pace.

Bet has been paid.
