281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most risky adventure you must avoid on: October 30, 2023, 11:10:30 AM
Maybe what Op wants to convey is that with every risk we face, we can really learn something. And besides, no one has become successful who has not been a risk-taker. It means that every person who becomes successful has to face risk, and when we say risk, that is not an easy decision.

It's really like that for a dreamer, isn't it? Everything will be tolerated and passed, even if it is difficult, as long as the important thing is that we can face it and overcome it, because for me, the risk becomes our way so that we can succeed in what we want to achieve in the future.

Right. Taking risks isn't about being reckless, it is about being open to opportunities and growth. Sometimes you might fail, but that's okay because you learn from it and come back stronger. But we should always consider our risk tolerance. It may sound contradicting but it is not. It is normal to know when to stop.
We will not be able to make decisions rashly, of course the decisions we make rashly, very often we are wrong in deciding something, so it would be better when making a decision we do it with the right calculations and even if the decision we make is not right then we have a backup option that we can use for the decisions we make. Even when taking risks, we have to really think about it very well so that the risks we take can get the results we want.

We have that guts to take the risk and always have that alternative options in case things didn't favor our way, I'm sure it's not as easy as
it was, but the chances and possibilities are always present to whatever decision making you take.

It's you and your understanding that value the most. You need to work more with the way you fully understand the business and what are the opportunities.

With those knowledge, you might be able to prevent wrong decision making or lessen the chance being caught behind the market.

Klay Thompson in the first half and then Steph Curry found his hot hand in the 4th quarter to give the Warriors another W.
Almost everyone is hitting their threes and that includes Gary Payton who will all know has been bad at shooting distance shots. Their 3rd quarter was a bad one and that made the Rockets come back to take the lead.
But the key to winning is for Steph to get his rhythm and he did at the crucial point of the game. 3 consecutive threes and he added more in the final minutes to put a dagger in the game. Draymond is back and I think the player rotation got messed up so Steve Kerr would need to find a way to fix that.

Yes, but it was not an easy game for the Warriors though, they really have to dig deeper again with Steph Curry outside shooting came back just in time in fourth quarter to salvage another win. The Houston Rockets keeps coming back from double digit lead against the Warriors and even took a good lead and I thought that it's going to be a disaster for them.

But as you have said, Curry caught fire and it's very crucial that he hit those 3's to stop the Rockets on their track and then build a solid double digit advantage that they didn't get up easily to secure another of their signature close W.

Steph as steph again today, that's the beauty of this team. They have each other back and they are living on that same executions when
they needed it the most. I mean, they will let Steph to take over and all will go to support him.

In Houston side, they almost have it but even how tight the Defense for Steph his hot hands can't be stopped by anyone.

Another great game for the fans who love watching the greatness of Steph and the rest of GSW, good catchup wins for the whole squad.

  • Grizzlies vs Nuggets

2.65 odds ng Grizzlies sa laban na ito. May chance naman sila manalo di ba? Pero Nuggets sinasabi ng puso ko.  Tongue

At this point I'm tired of hearing about James Harden.  Dude is sabotaging his career, he signed a contract and won't honor it period.  I know it's "a story" but for me in terms of actual basketball I turn off espn or radio if they start talking about him.  It got old real quick.

Yeah, the same. All the shows still discussing what's going on with him is just annoying and a waste of time. This guy is out of his mind thinking the world turns around him.
They should just ship him to China and case closed.

With the new rules it's gonna be really dangerous for his carreer if he doesn't play and won't get traded. But to be honest, he just briught this up to himself at this point.

He needs to act as pro and not to think that he still has that huge value. There are many newcomers nowadays who can work with the team
and still be able to deliver without any problem like him.

They are paid to play and they should not refuse that. If they want a trade and the management doesn't want it, then nothing that they can do but to play and that's it!

Stop treating or thinking that the league will rotate around you, just disappointing the viewers together with your so-called fans.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 27, 2023, 04:54:31 PM
So instead of having small problems like that, we should refuse if someone wants to borrow money to gamble. They can't even guarantee that they can win, and even if they can guarantee it, it can't always happen because it's hard for us to know when we can win.
That's why I never want to gamble with friends or other people around me. For me, friends should only be enough outside of gambling, so I always differentiate that when I'm with my friends, it's better to sit back and relax with them while drinking coffee and chatting, but for I probably don't want to gamble with them even though they are actually gamblers, that's why I prefer to gamble alone at home.

I always refuse my friend's invitation if I want to gamble at a physical casino out there or play gambling together, usually I will find an excuse for him not to invite me, unless my friend asks me to go out to just drink coffee and chat I will accept his invitation, the point is I really Avoid gambling with my friends because it can prevent my friends from borrowing money from me, let alone asking me to finance the gambling that my friends want.

Yes, the chance of those people borrowing money from you is possible. Knowing that you are also involved with that same activity, they will pretend that
you fully understand the need and you will be required to loan them.

Though if for entertainment purpose, I can go with my friend and play either online or offline casinos as I also wanted to have someone who I can
share my stories, both my wins and my losses.

There are different approaches in terms of lending a friend. You should know how to balance and weight the needs and the possibility
on how they can repay the money.

Maxey has consistently performed at a high level, and I can't believe why the 76ers didn't offer him a more bigger contract. This guy should be earning at least $10 million per year as a minimum, but he's only making $4 million this season.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/philadelphia-76ers/tyrese-maxey-70663/

He already average 20ppg last season, maybe at least $20 million per year. Smiley

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/maxeyty01.html
The 76ers management is playing the waiting game since they still have some leverage even if Maxey become a restricted free agent next offseason. You also have to give give Maxey some credit for just focusing on playing instead of pushing for an extension. I think he understands that he'll get that bigger bag by next year no matter what as long as he keeps improving.

As long as Maxey continues to perform at such a high level, there's a strong possibility that he'll secure a big contract in the coming year. With Harden out of the picture, the 76ers might have more flexibility in their salary cap, potentially offering him a max contract. With the current season ahead and Harden absent, it's likely that Maxey's stats will continue to improve, especially given his youth and athleticism.

According to the link, he's set to receive a "Qualifying Offer: $6,259,588," but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being even higher.

With the way he performed? I think he is worth more than that, and for sure Sixers knows his value and will give him the offer that surely gives I'm
the reason to stay and keep playing in the same uniform.

And like with what you said, as long as he continues playing the way that he's doing or maybe if he added more and keeps on improving.

Can go up to far the maximum for his next contract might be offered by the Sixers managements or maybe other teams will be interested
if ever his contract expires.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 27, 2023, 03:33:36 PM
If you keep playing you will stop when you've lose all of your money, it obviously not good and you will angry since you regret why you were not stop at that time. Cash out and enjoying your winnings is a must, you need a self reward in order to make you happy and not make you think gambling is bad.

Don't be greedy to stop gamble only if you've make $100,000. Tongue

Don't be greedy if you have that chance to win some decent portions of money from the amount you stake, if it's possible to cash it out and
enjoy the money, better to take that opportunity.

Most of the time, those who choose to continue and lose after always regret that mistake, something that you might needed overcome when you
are actively betting/playing.

If you can beat that emotion and let yourself quit when cashing out your money, the enjoyment after playing is much better.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 26, 2023, 11:36:01 PM
-snip

Playing smart and safe in gambling is the key to making a profit. By continually reducing losses through setting limits and improving skills and expertise, we can increase our chances of winning. And we also need to realize that victory and luck are not always present every time we gamble.
more precisely, gambling safely and with a healthy mindset is not the key to making a profit but is one way to avoid losing more, keep yourself away from greed and avoid addiction that will be experienced when the situation gets worse and the profit or win is just a bonus when you gamble responsibly, like when you bet a small amount when you get 3x the winnings, you try to stop and cash out the money and this effort is one of the ways you mentioned to gamble safely and smartly.

maybe in gambling or anything that is risky there no safe word but as long we can take full responsibility for the bets we make and have high commitment not to continue betting I believe they will be safe from losing more money.

As long as you have that control and the decision to stop, it's better that way, as you can dictate whatever the outcome of your gambling activities,

Those gamblers who can't stop and being dominated by greed those are people who are prone to losing a lot of money, instead of being entertained.
and getting some small earnings, but because of greed or any other factors, they lose it all and regret after.

If you can avoid it to happen while playing, it's always better to bring out the enjoyment and not regret after playing.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 26, 2023, 11:29:46 PM
So, this fight is now official for December 26 in Tokyo Japan. This only means that whatever Tapales asked was given by uncle Bob.

This fight is history in the making for both fighters as a win by Tapales would make him the only Filipino to have unified the four prestigious belts and on the other hand, Inoue will be making buzz across the boxing world as the unified champion in two weight divisions in just two fights.

It's just good to note that finally this fight has already a schedule.

Quote
Naoya Inoue vs. Marlon Tapales Official For December 26 in Tokyo, ESPN+

https://www.boxingscene.com/naoya-inoue-vs-marlon-tapales-official-december-26-tokyo-espn--178727

A day after Christmas, it's a great selection of schedule. Now, there's no more speculation about whether the fight will push through or not. At least we have the official report on when and where to watch this fight.

Tapales seems to be taking this seriously; he's already been training, even though there are still 2 months before the fight. Will he be training for a total of 3 to 4 months? I understand his eagerness to win, but I hope he doesn't overstrain himself.

He needs everything to prepare for this fight, a great honor if ever he manages to upset the monster in his own land. I think he's really
trying to develop that confidence and his skill-sets to matchup against Inoue.

Though his chance of winning remains the same, being an underdog gives him that desire to prove himself and try to outshine his opponents.

Just the same with you. Hopefully, he won't overstrain himself and instead of giving him an additional winning chance, it might cause him
to lose right away.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2023, 11:18:36 PM
I missed this format because this is how I watched them when I was growing up and it was really not that much of a difference because those other star players when they are with the other stars from the other teams, always become super team that could beat anybody because of how great they play when they are with some high rating players. that's why they are also not that easy to predict because they can really beat each other without a doubt. East vs West in this era will be much more fun than the last format they used.

It's worth noting that the All-Star match has always been primarily a show rather than a regular game. I also used to enjoy watching All-Star Weekend, but since the 9/10 season, this event has become more and more boring every year. These are just my personal feelings, and I don't claim to be true. However, I think there are probably a lot of fans who have also lost interest in the All-Star Weekend, and that explains why the NBA has been experimenting with the format of this event in recent seasons.

It became boring since there's no real action and its like they are lazy to defend their opponents that's why I don't get excited when they announce that to happen since for me its more better to watch the regular season games than watching those boring all star action. But since they are now going back with East and West format maybe we can see some changes then see if they can play some good basketball since if nothing change then still this might be just another boring presentation.

If some say its just a exhibition match and they need to protect theirselves from injury, well I get that point but since they are playing basketball they should give their audience some quality show since this is what we are paying for to see a quality game that could entertain us.

I'm sure many of you, like myself, miss the old format, and I'm really excited that the NBA is working to make it more attractive to the fans. Going back to the classic East vs. West setup, rather than the current format with team captains drafting players, truly brings back the essence of the All-Star game. It's a lot more reminiscent of the Finals where the best from the East and the West compete for the trophy. I have to say, I think it's a fantastic change.

Yeah, hoping that it will be considered and remove that format which allows the team captain to pick his squad, let the voice of the fans
bring the players in and give them the honor of representing their respective team.

I missed the way players compete with pride and not just a shooting competition against those stars who are known to be an offensive arsenal.

Let see if how it works and how the league facilitators will adjust if ever they will consider bringing back the old format of east against the west.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 25, 2023, 12:36:31 PM
It's still too early, I'm sure other teams are already making strategies to beat the Nuggets. The thing is, it's not just Jokic doing all the heavy lifting anymore. If they can somehow contain him, his buddies are ready to step up and make things happen.

I mean, look at this game, it's not just a one-man show. All the starters are hitting double digits, and even the bench players are chipping in. That's some impressive production right there.

1-Jokic 29
2- Gordon - 15
3- Porter Jr. - 12
4 - K. Caldwell-Pope - 20
5- Murray -21
Although it can be said that this is just the start of the season but every beginning is where the motivation comes from and with this start from the Nuggets. I am sure that many teams are learning to beat them.

They're still the best contender to be prepared for by every team on the NBA. Those stats and performance that they've just shown is amazing.

While some probably are thinking about focusing on stopping Jokic but with these stats, this is telling them that they're also part of the team and they shouldn't be ignored.

They stay as intact as it can be. The performances are a base from how they established that chemistry. Everyone serves their purposes
while inside the court.

Much easy for the starters to play along with everyone they've got while doing the same system and executing the same plays. Look how both Jokic
and Jamal provides for the team.

And together with everyone, they show balance productions from both sides offense and defense.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: October 25, 2023, 11:18:15 AM
As some others have said, most successful gamblers play using their skills to make a living. For them, it is likely that they will continue to be gamblers because they can only generate income from gambling by using their abilities.
However, such gamblers are very rare because they often play and play very carefully and are supported by their abilities, and maybe other people will judge it as an addiction. And in fact they also consider gambling as their job just like any other job, and they are successful because they can generate income from gambling and not just anyone.

Is a rare occasion that gambler can manage to win over the casino but likewise, with the combination of skills and good management of
both time and money, chances of winning are good.

It's just another way of taking your edge and executing that opportunity to become favorable to you.

I think by chance it can happen if control and good management can be executed perfectly, though just the same, it's a rare kind of
situation and not everyone can have this kind of mindset during the time they are playing against the house.
294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: October 25, 2023, 04:11:51 AM
If someone is promoting something good online then he certainly deserves praise but in this day and age it is hard to find people creating good content on YouTube about Cryptocurrencies. Crypto related videos I try to understand very little on YouTube because most of the videos share wrong information and I think the people who share this information or who make the videos have very little knowledge about crypto currency. They create video titles and thumbnails in such a way that they are immediately engaging. Having three monitors in front and trading charts on monitors and trading candles on mobile does not make a YouTuber proficient in trading. A skilled YouTuber finds proof of his skills in the content of his videos.
Cryptocurrency is very risky, we invest at our own risk, that's why it's clearly stated that we should invest the equivalent sums we can afford to lose and not risking all our monetary value on just a project with high expectations, unknowingly to us that it will crashed without our idea. YouTube content creators have absolutely nothing to offer, only there to procrastinate and engaged in projects that they tend to be paid certain agreed fee for the purpose of promotion. We know them but won't start mentioning names because they're all over YouTube and persuading the viewers to subscribe to their channels.

You need to extend your time learning more and not just to follow those creators, being keen to succeed it's more on how you will
try finding the right patterns and the right treatment in this kind of market,

I personally agree that using the amount that we can afford to lose is one of the good factor to learn more about trading, with potential to become
volatile, if you are using the amount that you are willing to let go, there's no problem if mistake take place, but the knowledge that you learn is more important.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 24, 2023, 11:44:47 AM
Not keeping records doesn't necessarily mean that you are a bad gambler. Sometimes players are too busy to have one and just mentally note their winnings and losses as well as the money they have spend in gambling in totality. Although for sure there are still people who are keeping tracks of their gambling habits which is good for them especially if it works significantly better on their end. But it doesn't mean you should do too. It still depends on you after all.

But a piece of advice, if you don't want or you can't seem to keep records because of extra work it will give to you, just make sure you allocate a specific amount that won't break your budget and your priorities in life. Only allocating your spare and not going overboard your budget will be as good as keeping records because that means you are only spending what you can afford to lose without regretting so much in the end if it doesn't go well.

Allocating specific amounts and not to exceed or prevent not to exceed will keep you safe from being an excessive gambler. Addiction also can
be avoided if you know what is your limit and you fully understand that you needed to stop.

Not keeping your records if you are playing just for the sake of entertainment for me is just fine. There's no wrong if you just play and go after.

Though there are people who love monitoring their money, both win and lose. They are balancing the amount of that moving
money while playing with the game or gambling game that they are involved with.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: October 24, 2023, 11:27:26 AM
Altcoin investing carries risks and opportunities. Diversify, research, and manage risk. Avoid scams. Decide on a long-term or short-term strategy, and control emotions. Consult financial experts and stay informed.
A person who does everything that you've mentioned at first wouldn't need to consult with financial experts, all they need is to stay informed about everything happening around the industry, get every news revolving around cryptocurrencies and their developments, keep doing research about coins and tokens they find appealing, and obviously, as you said, take decisions with a clear mind without getting emotionally influenced for any given reason.

Risks will always exist in a financial market that is volatile and unpredictable, but risks can be managed and reduced by constant work and dedication. A trader or an investor who is patient and dedicated to their craft will achieve success eventually despite all the failures and hurdles they might have to face along the way.

Risk can be managed with the right sets of knowledge about the business that you are working with, I think volatility can use as edge
with those who are lazy investing without doing any research.

With the knowledge you acquire from time to time that you trade, will serves as a good experienced to anticipate the next market run.

It will be your advantage when placing your position and also advantage when everyone is already in fear as you can keep that
trust knowing that it will be possible to bounce back to the value that you anticipate happening.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2023, 10:46:24 AM
Just one more sleep until NBA basketball kicks off. I think with the Damian Lillard trade the Bucks became the team to beat in the East and I think the pickup of Bradley Beal makes the Suns the team to beat in the West. I think the Warriors will have another good year along with the Celtics and Nuggets, but I think the Bucks take home the crown this year.

The Bucks will surely be capable of reaching back to the NBA finals if they stay healthy throughout this season because they are currently the best team in the East right now and all other strong teams are in the West. If they still having a hard time getting to the NBA playoffs with this roster, then it would be another battle for them to fix their management because a super team such as this one is expected to dominate the Eastern Conference and get to the NBA finals easily.
And to add some fire into it, Giannis already signed a 3-year extension worth $186M, and he will stay with the Bucks.
https://www.nba.com/news/bucks-giannis-antetokounmpo-extension

This is what I'm saying when "One trade can change everything". Just imagine back when Giannis is kind of threatening the Bucks' front office saying that he will leave the team if they will not compete with the title. Then they got Lillard, and that changes everything including his mindset. Now they are the favorites to win the title already just because they got Dame. The East isn't as loaded with the West, and with Dame going to the East, that makes the East better knowing that Commissioner Adam Silver is thinking of putting back the East Vs. West format in the all-star game. Nonetheless, that trade changes everything not only for the Bucks, but for the whole NBA.

Overall, I expect them to be a good duo, but I would want to see who will be their 3rd player of the team to complete that "Big 3". Middleton maybe is the best fit, but nonetheless, the team's gonna be in the NBA Finals, unless injury spoils it. That's my prediction only.

So, that means he's going to be raking in $62 million annually, making him the top earner in the NBA as this list will change.
https://hoopshype.com/salaries/players/

Giannis made a pretty smart move here. I'm guessing he must have been seriously impressed by Lillard's performance during the season Grin, which is why he decided to lock in that contract extension just a day before the regular season kicked off.

Making that sure money while working his way to create that great combination between him and Lilard, though we didn't see any
special out from Lilard during the pre-season games,

But I believe that Giannis sees something, and he believes that it's worth to take that risk pairing with Lilard and be as competitive as they can this
coming season.

Not that hard to assume that the chance of them moving back to the finals is really possible, if that new duo will showcase there
offensive capabilities and manage to support each other inside the court. They can bring more excitement to the fans and viewers.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 24, 2023, 10:31:12 AM

The fact that the fight is taking place in Japan, in front of thousands of Inoue's fans, could potentially lead to a significant disappointment for them. Perhaps Tapales might bring some form of vindication for Casimero, given that the latter has often been a victim of unfair treatment while fighting in Japan, although he hasn't lost a fight there yet. It's undoubtedly a dangerous challenge for Tapales, and Inoue losing to him could derail his path to achieving success akin to Manny Pacquiao.

It's a tough road for Tapales, knowing that Inoue is unbeatable from his homeland. He needed to put everything. Here, the stake is not just
the belts but the pride in between these 2 nations.

Inoue beats Donaire twice while Casimero missed that opportunity to face Inoue after losing his belts before the fight might be scheduled between them.

Now, it's Tapales chance to try Inoue and not just an ordinary fight but unifying all the belts and be that one to be the best from this division.

Successful gamblers could really be into those players who had really be that able to make that profitable towards gambling. For sure these fellas had already past up with that addiction because if we do speak about addiction then you are that someone who cant really be able to control yourself until you would really be messing up with your financial situation and on the time that you had get rid
or able to recover from addiction then this is where you would really be making yourself wary about gambling addiction and on the next then you do already have the idea on what you should gonna do.
Therefore, there are chance that you might be able to sustain or survive the riskiness of gambling and would really be that knowledgeable on what are the things should be done but still
you should really be removing into your mind about those risks of losing yet gambling do always matter with luck.

Chances that they already overcome that heavy addiction and learn from that experience are their key tool to sustain their position.

Not easy for it is, but in some cases, there are experienced gamblers who can really do limit themselves and able to sustain the amount of money
and time that they setup for their gambling activities and still continue enjoying or making some decent amount of profits.

It's a call that not most gambler can take, a good emotional and financial control that gives them an edge over other gambler and the casino facilitators.
