It looks like Tottenham give Kane green light for £160m Manchester City move. And he verbally agreed to a £400,000 per week contract. It's going to be one of the biggest transfers Manchester City have ever made. And it's really huge in terms of transfers in general in history.

£160 million is a fantastic value, and that's a very high price even for a striker like Harry Kane. If Man City really agrees with the price offered by Tottenham then this will be a new record-breaker. A salary of £ 400,000 per week will also make Harry Kane a football player with the highest salary in the Premier League.

Harry Kane is an excellent striker. He is talented and experienced. But what club would want to spend so much money at the moment? Every club is in some financial crisis. 150m is a very high amount. Moreover, his salary is also too high.
Both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City were caught by surprise by the news last night. The wages of £ 400K per week? I don't think they did a good job on that. I think City makes a big mistake this time around. What I don't understand is how these clubs can make these investments under the current Corona situation?
Its still just a conflicting news about Harry Kane's move to Manchester City.
The Sun newspaper is tge one that confirmed a deal is settled and City will pay £160 million.
On the other hand The Athletic confirmed that the London club will not sell Harry this summer at any price!!
In my opinion its true that City needs a striker this to be realistic, but the unrealistic is to sell Spurs, the best striker in the league, to a competitor with them in the league.
And personally I don't want to see Kane in Man City because they will be a perfect team and the league is going to be boring a one side dominating the whole league while other 5-6 teams battle for tge remaining UCL seats.

With Kane, Manchester City will become less depend on De Bruyne and please don't forget that they will have Jack Grealish.

I wouldn't assume that they'll definitely get Grealish. Villa have hugely ambitious owners and have Grealish under a long contract; they'll do everything they can to keep him.
As for whether Grealish wants to go... Man City is definitely a step up, but perhaps his experiences at the Euros may impact his decision. For England he is merely an impact sub, which is likely the role he'd have for Man C. Would he prefer to stay at Villa, who are improving each year, and be a guaranteed first teamer?
I do not think that harry kane coming will impact the influence of de bruyne i think it will be a huge empowerment for city because they really need a great striker to finish their atacks since they have de bruyne as play maker and excelent wingers like mahrez and foden and even sterling as for grealish it is a bit difficult i agree with you but if the two clubs agree on a price i think this deal will be done.
It's going to be interesting to see if Man City will rely on Gabriel Jesus as lone striker next season or they are going to back him with top signing.
They managed last year to win EPL without the need to use Aguero who barely played last season and know left the club for free to Barcelona,
It's true that Man City won the league last season but their scoring record dropped from 102 in season19/20 compared to 83 goals last year its their lowest in the last 4 seasons.
They managed to win without scoring lot of goals last season but I don't think that this season that alone will cut it their rivals are focused on getting back on winning the league so i think it will be more exciting to see Man City without Kane because signing him it will make them impossible to stop.

Ibelleive that Navas is one of the best goalkeepers in the world without a doubt, but he is probably the number 1 in bad luck!!
He was one of the creditors in the historical trilogy with Real Madrid before he was abandoned for Courtois.
so that the story would be repeated with him again in Paris and he would have two options, the sweetest of which was bitter.
Is he goong to stay and compete with Donnarumma or leave in search of a new challenge with guarantees of continuous playtime.
His contract with PSG runs to summer 2024 so 3 more seasons left that's a long period and if he finds himself playing as number 2 he has to convince them to sell him.

Man United outbid Bayern’s offer to Goretzka - Chelsea in talks with Lewandowski’s agent
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/news/view?id=389686

i think chelsea will get E. Haaland and R. Lewandowski will fulfill his dream at some point and move to real madrid Wink
I think that Chelsea and a lot of other clubs have missed a chance to sign the Alternative that's Andre Silva he scored one goal more then Haaland in the Bundesliga for Frankfurt only playing 4 more games then Halaand.
He was much much cheaper Leipzig is belleived to have payed only €23Million.
I belleive it was a steal from Leipzig if he continues performing they are going to sell him for €100M next season.
Chelsea if they are truly not convinced with what they got they should find another alternative because I can't see Dortmund selling this summer.

Bullrun.

I really don't like these rumors of Henderson leaving Liverpool. We already lost Wijnaldum (a starting midfielder), losing another one (and a captain as well) in the same transfer window would really be irresponsible.

I understand that the club is not in a rush to give him a new big contract just yet considering he's 31 years old, but at east keep him for a year or 2 and then pick your options.

He would not generate a lot of money due to his age but would be a major loss both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

I commented in another thread about this yesterday and today and I simply think the rumors are not just unfounded but totally ridiculous,,, and I am not even Liverpool fan Smiley

First of all, he is happy at the club and has 2 years left on contract.

Second of all,,, the club are not like that when it comes to transfer market. They are not irresponsible and they seem to like keeping players happy and parting on good terms.

I am a Spurs person so imagine how envious I am of your system.
According to the British newspaper, "Mirror", Liverpool offered Atletico Madrid to sign one of the duo, Jordan Henderson and Xherdan Shaqiri, in addition to 40 million pounds, in exchange for the inclusion of Saul.
Shaqiri is not one of the main elements in the squad of German coach, Jurgen Klopp, and there is an intention to get rid of Henderson this summer, after negotiations to renew his contract froze.
Liverpool is looking to Saul as a replacement for its former Dutch player, Georginio Wijnaldum, who left for PSG on a free transfer, after his contract ended.

After Hakimi, Donnarumma, Wijnaldum and Ramos, attention is now turning to Pogba to be the next player this summer to the Parisian club.
The expected amount to pay is between 50-60 million euros, and United will accept the sale if he is unable to renew the contract of the French player.
Day by day Paris Saint Germain is getting stronger and more Stars and getting closer to his big dreams .
I don’t know how Pogba's chance of staying with United this summer there have been no clear indicationon him wanting to stay or leave , in my opinion is it just a matter of time before we see it in Paris blue shirt.

Barcelona and Griezman dilemma still going the Catalonia side still wants Griezmann to get out and get rid of his salary in any way.
The beginning was an exchange with Saul, but it failed and today Dybala entered the line but what if there was an exchange with Tottenham, in which the French attacker goes in exchange for the arrival of Harry Kane, so that the two parties may benefit from Balanced deal.
For me this is the exchange deal is the most beneficial for Barca and Griezmann after the fail of the one with Atletico. Unless Kane salary is also high but if he is reluctant for the move he could make a small sacrifice to play for a competitive team.

I feel that Arsenal are going no where next season they singed two players with potential but still at a young age and they will be not delivering on day one.
Last year they manages to finish 8th I don't think that they will be able to achieve better than that with these squad.
Everton and Aston Villa are in a much better shape then they're Leeds are also projected to land a spot better then them as they didn't lose any of their main squad players.
They lost Odegaard, Xhaka and other more, so if their current stars didn't start performing better I do not think that they are going to be any close to be a competitive team.
Exactly! The reason why Arsenal board is so reluctant about signing quality players is what I don't know. The little important players they have, they are selling them, the likes of Xhaka,Bellerin, and sometimes Lacazette are likely to leave, and uptill now Mikel Arteta have not gotten a replacement that can match the level of those departing players. With the way they are going about signing, and the type of players they are signing,it is very possible that next season will even be worse than last season.
Arsenal have no ambitious of winning any title or cup next season going by their transfer policies, they recently signed Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga thinking the youngsters will be a better replacement for the much experienced Xhaka, I wasn't surprised that they received 1 vote on the pool, they lack focus they can't compete with top 4 clubs in any competition, it very obvious that they will struggle Mikel Arteta admittedly said Arsenal are often their own worst enemy due to their inconsistent performances of course we shouldn't be expecting a much better Arsenal.
we cam say that they are rebuilding the team, and they have been doing that for so long before even Wenher leaving, and relaying on youngsters alone wouldn't cut it they will be sacrificed like lambs in the first sign of things not going the right way so their promising career will be the one to be damaged.
We saw that man United did that few years ago with LVG era they got a couple promising talents more known then the one Arsenal buying including Memphis Depay and he was the first to be axed by Mourinho Luke Shaw also was freezed by Mourinho.
They have to do better in transfer market if they want to stay a relevant club.

What a shocking start it was! Just as I expected, the race started with a high competition between Verstappen and Hamilton for the 1st place. Verstappen defended him really well until a point. But they had a huge crash and Verstappen was through the barriers unfortunately. Hamilton got a 10 sec penalty for that but I still think that it was Verstappen's fault. Verstappen just pushed his luck too much there.

Now, Leclerc is still leading the race. He has a decent gap with Hamilton (2 sec). The pit strategies will be really important. If Ferrari does a strong pit stop with Leclerc, I think that Leclerc has a really big chance to even win the race.

I am really happy to see a Ferrari back in the podium once again! They've been struggling last season but I think they're making a huge comeback this year.

With regard to Verstappen's crash, I think it's partly Hamilton's fault for not giving enough room on the right side of the corner. Even with the slightest contact, Max flew like a stick and crashed into the barrier. When you're driving around 300 kph on corners, it is to be expected that you have to give some room especially if you are the one overtaking.
yeah i think its the stubbornness of Hamilton made him make contact with Max. he wanted to stay close to him so he could force him to back out.
as you can see in these image how Hamilton trying to get past Leclerc from the same corner, he hit the Apex in the turn so he had plenty of room if he had done that with max.

I don't think that it was his intentions to touch his wheel because in that scenario both cars could have spin or Hamilton gets at least a puncture, he did some damage to his wing but miraculously didn't need to pit and change it, just some glue and duct tape and it was all good to go back.

Manchester City is preparing to make a new offer for Algerian star Riyad Mahrez, in order to renew his contract, after the prominent role he played in winning the Premier League title.

Mahrez's contract with Man City expires in 2023, and there are many European clubs interested in obtaining the services of the Algerian international.
And after many Man City players participated in the Euro and Copa America competitions, Riyad Mahrez got more rest this summer, which helps Pep Guardiola a lot at the start of the season.

It was a really great race. Charles Leclerc was so close to a victory after a 2-year period without getting one. His pace was really good considering his car. But he had engine problems time to time and Ferrari engineers hardly managed to fix it. His pit stop was quite decent also. But still, he didn't have so much thing to do against a beast like Hamilton.  Cheesy  He was just incredibly fast that he caught up with Leclerc before the final lap and got past him easily. Leclerc couldn't defend much as the power of his car wasn't big enough to compete against him. Still he ended at the 2nd place and it was a great job.
Perez got the fastest lap but Hamilton won the race and got 25 more points. And the gap between Verstappen and Hamilton is now 8 points. The competition for the title has fired up even more now. I'm looking forward to see the Hungarian GP in two weeks.
Yes, Leclerc and Ferrari were very close to winning, despite the fact that Ferrari officially announced that it would no longer modernize its car this year. This means that, nevertheless, for certain tracks and a certain type of tires, this reserve is quite enough for a certain competition with Mercedes and Red Bull racing cars. It is very significant that the management of the Ferrari team allowed Leclerc to use the engine in an increased mode, but this still did not allow him to fight with Hamilton's Mercedes at the end of the race. Thanks to Hamilton's victory, the situation in the championship has greatly worsened and we will see how Lewis and Max will conduct a contact fight in Hungary, taking into account the contact of racing cars that occurred. Mercedes, thanks to the first and third places, came close to Red Bull in the Constructors ' Cup.
Leclerc could have won the race if his team didn't tell him to push sooner, sooner as Hamilton started chipping 1 second every lap.
It was clear that he was aiming for the first spot, he got passed Norris in just a few seconds and I belleive this year Maclaren cars are better cars then the Ferraries so if Luis was in DRS range while he was in beast mode he would overtake you in no time unless it's a RedBull car then other strategies needed.
Next race in two weeks and it will be in Hungary, and it should be where RedBull gets back on winning because it took Mercedes both of their RedBull cars out of competition so they can win a race.

All's over and Hamilton 1st place, and got the fastest lap time too -- very tight -- so I booked that nice 4/1 Special from Sportsbet -- first major win for me for the last two months, very pleased with myself. Just didn't think it'd be that close to 2nd -- had it over 12 secs from 2nd.

It still took a nasty 1st lap accident, bet you Lewis knew exactly what he was doing there. The only way to stop Verstappen from running away with this race. Wide open now.
nope Hamilton didn't win the Fastest lap as Perez pitted in the last couple laps and put on slightly used Soft tires to take The fastest lap point from Hamilton so i don't think you won the special bet on Hamilton.

Arrigo Sacchi nominated Juventus to win the Scudetto this season due to the presence of Allegri.
Juve has a good squad, but it does not outperform Squad Inter as a whole. But perhaps the coach's experience outweighs Inzaghi, and therefore the Juventus may tip the scales.
What we will miss the most next season is the absence of Conte in the expected fiery coaches race.
The presence of Allegri give Juve an advantage over the rest of the competitors.

And after screwing my bet Hamilton still ends up winning.
Ferrari team should have told Leclerc to push harder the minute Hamilton started shipping a second every lap.
I liked how Leclerc managed to stay ahead of Hamilton at the restart of the race and kept Luis behind despite having an inferior car.
Damn, this is looking good for me. I did the Hamilton 4/1 Special (but he also needs to have the fastest lap) and I got Bottas 11/1 (should have taken 12/1 with boost would have been 14/1 maybe!). Hamilton's 10-sec penalty shouldn't do much but he needs to win this race to get the season back on track!

AND my 4-3-free has LeClerc to finish top among the options, so I hope to get something out of this race.
Check sacrificed 10th spot so he can put soft tires and take the fastest lap from Luis so that it would be a point less then he would taken.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 18, 2021, 01:32:41 PM
Moving to Manchester City, looking impossible for Harry Kane IMO.
A move to Chelsea will be the best option, they need a top notch attacker to come and convert goals for them, despite the Champions League they won, they scored less goals.
At the moment the move for halland seems impossible.
They should get Harry Kane to get the job done this season, else they'll face similar issues again from last season.
Harry Kane could force Tottenham hands for the move as he may refuse to return to Spurs training, in the preparation period for the new season, in order to make pressure the team to allow him to move to Manchester City.
Kane has asked Daniel Levy to listen to the offers that will be made to him this summer.
But the Spurs boss wants Kane to continue, knowing he had previously turned down a £100m offer from Manchester City for the player.
So could he push for a move this season or wait for next year,
Haaland is also not happy with Sancho leaving Dortmund he is saying that he is used to playing with but he also says he is used to play with other players from BVB so seeing him move will be an unlikely move.

Russell is a british driver, driving for a not so good car (probably second worst car) and the race is on silverstone with nearly all british fans. It was expected that they would cheer for Hamilton, but to cheer for Russell wasn't really a weird situation neither, it is basically a given. However dude finished like 8th or something with the second worst car, by calculation the average expected of him is 17th, why? Because the other car is latifi at 18th and then worst cars 19th mick and 20th mazepin.

Anything above that shows that dude is doing better than expected for the car he is given. However I have to say Williams is a great qualifying car, it is not as good of a race car. I feel like dude will hang tight in silverstone for a few laps at the best but I do not think that he will be racing for too long at those positions, he will once again be lower than points positions.
I very much agree with this statement.

Russell is just magical. The fact that he finished within the top 10 with a less-superior car shows his raw talent and skill on the racing field. I am kinda doubtful as to whether he should stay in Williams or to go to another team with a champion-contender car. I really do think that he'll have an opportunity soon to prove that he can definitely stay at the podium.
I ended up jinxing him lol, he has 3 places grid penalty and will start 12th place if I am not wrong. Williams is a mercedes junior car, and that means Mercedes basically already holds his contract and raised him so much, I doubt that they will let him go that easily.

Bottas and Merc already has a lot of troubles this year, it is looking like they are going to have their differences come out public eventually and in that situation Merc could just hire Russel the moment they want, remember last year? He raced in the Mercedes car and was doing so good as well for a while. Long story short he will move to Mercedes soon and take Bottas' place, it could be either sometime inside the season when everything boils over, or it could be at the end of the season but I do not see Bottas staying for too long which leaves the door open for George to take over.
yeah I'm not seeing Russel finishing in points for Silverstone. i was a bit surprised that they didn't give him a a penalty on the spot a 5 sec penalty would be too much because its not a full race and you don't do pits stops to serve the penalty. i thought since it was in the beginning of the race the FIA tends to be a little forgiving
but today after i found out that they gave him 3 places penalty because that contact made Sainz lose some spots dropping to 18th i believe now he will be back ahead of him in 10th.
bit more then an hour left i got small bet on both Redbull cars finish in points odds at 1.5 Perez will be starting last but he learns from his mistake and will looking to finsih top10.

Edit and by that my bet is went flying,
Verstapppen is out after the contact with Hamilton.
