I really don't like these rumors of Henderson leaving Liverpool. We already lost Wijnaldum (a starting midfielder), losing another one (and a captain as well) in the same transfer window would really be irresponsible.

I understand that the club is not in a rush to give him a new big contract just yet considering he's 31 years old, but at east keep him for a year or 2 and then pick your options.

He would not generate a lot of money due to his age but would be a major loss both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

I commented in another thread about this yesterday and today and I simply think the rumors are not just unfounded but totally ridiculous,,, and I am not even Liverpool fan

First of all, he is happy at the club and has 2 years left on contract.

Second of all,,, the club are not like that when it comes to transfer market. They are not irresponsible and they seem to like keeping players happy and parting on good terms.

I am a Spurs person so imagine how envious I am of your system.

According to the British newspaper, "Mirror", Liverpool offered Atletico Madrid to sign one of the duo, Jordan Henderson and Xherdan Shaqiri, in addition to 40 million pounds, in exchange for the inclusion of Saul.
Shaqiri is not one of the main elements in the squad of German coach, Jurgen Klopp, and there is an intention to get rid of Henderson this summer, after negotiations to renew his contract froze.
Liverpool is looking to Saul as a replacement for its former Dutch player, Georginio Wijnaldum, who left for PSG on a free transfer, after his contract ended.

These clubs need to recover their losses from last year so they won't have to face the difficult task of selling key players and stay afloat.

Exactly what I just posted at the EPL pool thread.  I feel like this thing has the potential to disrupt everything once again with either stopping the season or mostly empty stadiums for a larger part of the season...  Which would suck.

Let's say that City became unsuccessful on it but Chelsea signed Haaland. Then, we could see a much more productive Chelsea compared to the last season. That is exactly what I mean. If a team in the Premier League is going to seriously improve through transfers, it is most likely going to be Manchester City. If they can manage to sign Kane, they are an even bigger favorite for the title. I just have my doubts that Liverpool and Klopp can repeat such a season as they did when they had 96 points or so. Guardiola is a bit different. He seems to be able to beat his personal records almost every year. Wijnaldum also left Liverpool and I am not 100% sure who was signed by Liverpool by now, but if I am not wrong there are no big names thus far.

The new season is getting really close. We are only 3 weeks away from the first week of the league. I think that the biggest candidate for the title is Manchester City again. I don't know if they will manage to end Kane transfer successfully. But even without him, they can destroy their opponents and reach the title. But it's going to be really long and tough journey as their biggest opponents are also gaining more power.

Coming into a new season, many of the big teams would have probably signed new players into their team making them stronger than they were the previous season and difficult to predict a winner; I know City have been brilliant in the last couple of seasons and have won a good number of titles along the way, this somewhat makes them favorites for this season title, but the other big teams wouldn't just be pushed aside, Liverpool, United and Chelsea are all Contenders for the title, we will see which team sets the pace and in the most form from the beginning of the season to mid-season, it's more often than not the team that goes home with the title.

I really missed Liverpool's last championship season. The players were playing absolutely great. There was a strong chemistry and a great teamplay. Now, they don't go for really good players. I'd really like to see Liverpool signing a striker who will make a Suarez impact or even better. The best candidate for it is of course Haaland. But we still haven't got any news about this possible transfer.

That is not a bad deal for ATM if you ask me, they already have so many midfielders that they do not really need Saul but it begs the question why would Liverpool want a player that even ATM would be willing to sell?

Shaqiri was never really a main focus of Klopp and he was never seen as a player that would stay there for too long, it is understandable that he would be gone, but Henderson is still a good player and I do not get why he is not getting the contract he wants, dude deserves at least double of what he is getting, let alone a long contract, 31 is not that old, you could keep that guy for another 5 years because he is very fit and can go that long. In any situation, if Liverpool really does this, they will get a player who can be a bench midfielder plus 40 million on top of that, it is not a bad deal for them neither if they are so decided on sending Henderson.

Although, it too early to start predicting the 2021/2022 Premier League winner, but surely, Manchester City will definitely end next season in the top 4. But strangely, there are still people who think that this is a lie being played with, so they ignore the health protocols that are in place. We are well aware that this pandemic is not over yet and even though those who have received the vaccine at least still obey the orders to wear masks, because with us being able to comply with these orders I am sure the stadiums of every match will be filled with spectators.

It was just published in some newspaper article that Manchester City allegedly plans to exchange four players for Harry Kane with Tottenham. Among those four players is Raheem Sterling the newspaper claims. Four players sounds like a massive exaggeration to me if they pay a transfer fee on top. Raheem Sterling is quite good as well. I believe the transfer will happen somehow. If rumors are so huge it usually also happens in the end and I am sure Harry Kane will do his part as well. I guess at this stage of his career he is sick of playing for Tottenham.

Aguero was like a goal machine years ago. But he wasn't like that at City for a very long time. And like you said, he is injury-prone also. So, I think that City did the right thing by releasing him. Aguero is still a good goal matchine if you see how Suarez can play well in Atletico Madrid after Barcelona fired him and let him go almost free.

Yes, I understand, if we remember, we will find a list of players who have moved to rival clubs even in the EPL. The main issue what I want to say is his loyality to the United. He become a star players since going to united, and grow with Ferguson. You know, sometimes, money can change everything for some players, they will follow the highest money he will get, but ronaldo show us his loyality. And for Tevez, he not really happy with City, so its normal if he join with United without any problem. IMO.
