282  Local / Échanges / Re: Avis BINANCE on: March 13, 2024, 03:06:14 PM

Agreed! However, on the present situation, a 3 satoshi fee that you paid will take many years before this will be confirmed hehehehee. In any case, I increased the fee to be included on the next block. Also, thank you and see you next year hehehe.

@Rikafip. You were right on Anatomy of the fall for best original screenplay, I was very much in love with the Holdovers.

Dune 2 will be next year's best director, best picture and best adapted screenplay winners!
Sorry bro, since you sent them almost 3 months ago, I thought you didn't need them very quickly and 14.8sat/byte would be enough. Blockchair was saying the transaction could be confirmed the next day so I was confident it could be done in the coming days at worst, anyway I could add more fees if it took too much time since I sent it in RBF. Glad all is done now though.  Smiley

284  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 11, 2024, 07:09:46 PM
This is the exact reason why most casinos do not tolerate the use of VPNs. You were lucky that they didn't lock your account and confiscate your money.
Using VPNs isn't supposed to be a problem if done for legitimate purposes such as increasing privacy and/or security. The problem is that most gamblers do it to circumvent restrictions or abuse bonuses.. So casinos just ban it to avoid unnecessary headaches.
I'm not sure about that, sometimes third party providers are blocking locations with no reason while the casino using them allow people from this location to fully register and play there, that's boring and unfair for those customers, so using VPNs let them circumvent those illegitimate restrictions from faddy providers. I'm not aware of a reputed casino having banned or even warned a customer doing that. In addition, in most countries people are free to use VPNs as they want, especially for their privacy like you said, so people are free to not willing to share their IP addresses with such tedious providers.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: March 11, 2024, 06:40:42 PM
@Saint-loup. There is no winner in our bet. Kindly return the coins to bc1q2cxuaksp48qmdpm6r6k596yd2vvxnp9z9wunre thank you very much.
Well it's sad to wait such a long time and spend tx fees for nothing, since no one has won anything at the end but it is what it is.
I just sent you back 1mbtc to the address you ask for :
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/c7e17d92eedd8240d80235f2f59cc07b478216cc24eae3c3c92d7b63cab60c93

Now you got me confused. Didn't you bet on Emma Stone winning an Oscar, mening you won the bet?
No the bet was on Sandra Hüller, but we agreed to replace her by Emma Stone with a different payout, if she didn't qualify to avoid wasting time and money for nothing precisely.

Why it would be cancelled bro, you think I start to be scared of losing against you? Angry LOL I'm kidding of course Cheesy
Before giving you my address I want to sum up things in order to avoid any future boring contentious disputes about the agreement.

So do you agree with this :

If Sandra Hüller wins, you will receive 6.5mbtc + 1mbtc from your stake
If Lily Gladstone wins, you won't receive anything I'll keep your 1mbtc
If Sandra Hüller is not nominated but Emma Stone(your jocker) wins, you will receive 1mbtc + 1mbtc
If Sandra Hüller is not nominated and any other actress than Emma Stone (and Lily Gladstone) wins, you will receive 1mbtc(your stake back)
If Sandra Hüller is nominated and Emma Stone wins or any other actress (except Lily Gladstone), you will receive 1mbtc(your stake back)

Are you ok with that bro?

288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: March 10, 2024, 07:43:20 PM
I see many eurovision fans discussing Greece's entry favorably on social media this year. Here's the music video for anyone interested:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTSTnLWGUPs

Marina Satti always has overproduced dances on her music videos, and this one especially is very campy in portraying modern Greek cultural icons in a very kitsch fashion. As a song though, it's not that interesting to me. Aesthetically pleasing for sure but nothing life changing. Also the vocals at the start are quite weird. Dunno though, at least we'll probably get to the final. After last year's tragic entry it's a fresh song to send to Eurovision which I'm glad about for my country. Also in our native language, which would be nice to see perform well.
It's a good entry from Greece, the music, the song in Greek and the music video are quite original. I wonder if I will not send a vote for her during the sem-final(2nd) because she competes in the semi-final whose my country can vote. I like Denmark too in this semi-final so maybe I will vote for both entries at the end. 4 countries are missing for now though (Albania, Armenia, Georgia and Israel) and another one in the first semi-final (Azerbaijan).
289  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 10, 2024, 07:12:23 PM
I know one casino explicitly claiming to be "VPN friendly" here, it's what they claim in the title of their ANN and their signature at least, it's Empire casino.
They use to be pretty active here with many special Bitcointalk promotions, but they are less present nowadays. I used a VPN few times there in order to be able to play to some games not available from my country and I didn't get bad surprises.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5464593 https://archive.is/uEU8j
Many casinos don't care if you use a VPN tbh, but if you get a big win they can oppose it to you in order to refuse to give your winnings.

Unfortunately, as I understand low balance accounts are not entitled to claim their remaining assets, as I understand. What is/will be the threshold for that? Does anyone knows it?
Quote
Low Account Balances: Account holders who have an account balance equivalent to or less than the actual or anticipated cost of the trust administration as at the date of any proposed distribution are deemed to have no right to participate in the distribution of cryptocurrencies by the liquidators.
Completing a KYC process will be mandatory but what will happen if you haven't put your real name in your account?
Quote
Distribution Process: The Liquidators are permitted to make distributions of cryptocurrency held on trust to account holders, subject to certain conditions including:
the submission of claims before ‘cut-off date’ in line with section 3 of the update found here includes orders that allow for top-up distributions from unclaimed holdings up to 100% of account holdings after some time
completion of identity verification
I see there is a soft "cut-off date" at the end of June and a "final" one at the end of the year(2024). What does it mean?
They are talking about BTC and DOGE trusts, what is it precisely?
Account holders will have the right to make a kind of appeal if they are not satisfied but who will hold it?
Quote
Review Process: If the liquidators reject a claim in whole or in part, these orders set out a process where if an account holder is dissatisfied with the Liquidators’ decision with respect to their claim, the account holder may request a review to determine if the decision should stand.

291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electrum to recover data from original Bitcoin Core wallet - not synchronizing on: March 10, 2024, 06:17:56 PM
I'm trying to use and Electrum my mnemonic seed phrase to recover my bitcoins from my original Bitcoin Core wallet. Since my mnemonic seed phrase is 12 words long, I selected the BIP39 option. The wallet is installed and IK can access it but it isn't synchronizing. Any help would be appreciated.
Unfortunately Hierarchical Deterministic seeds of Bitcoin Core wallets are not in the BIP39 format, only in the BIP32 one, they are not "mnemonic" and don't use any words. They are just in a WIF format like a common Bitcoin private or public key. And you can't import them into Electrum in any way afaik. You must use a vanilla Bitcoin Core wallet in order to recover your funds if you have this type of seed. So I think you've created it with another wallet. Electrum accepts BIP39 seeds, so it should work if your HD seed respects this format or is an Electrum seed ofc.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your go-to sports betting risk management strategies? on: March 10, 2024, 05:55:57 PM
If you are using risk management strategies in gambling, you are both gambling for fun and you are gambling to win. What I opine about risk management in gambling, it is not to prevent you from losing but to present you the best possible strategies to make you win a bet. It turns you from an emotional loss chasing gambler to a logical event winning and profit making gambler.

Which of these is your go-to sports betting risk management strategies?

1. Hedging - Basically it is placing another bet to reduce the potential losses or risks associated with your first bet.

2 Arbitrage Betting - Here you bets on all possible outcomes of an event with different bookmakers to secure a profit no matter of the outcome.

3. Cash Out: When you cash out in betting, you take a portion payout from the bet before the game is over
It is do to guarantee a profit or minimize losses, especially when the original bet is winning or losing.

4. Matched Betting:  It is involves the use of free bets and promotions from bookmakers to cover all possible outcomes of a game and guarantee a profit.

*The list is inexhaustible. You can add your favorite if it is missing.
I don't think those strategies are very efficient to be honest. They could avoid severe losses but it will be very difficult to make profits in the long run with any of them, except with the last one maybe.
Usually cash out offer are very low, that is to say if your bet is very likely to lose you won't get much money. It's usually better to bet on the other outcomes at the live betting odds than to cash out if you really think your bet is going to lose.
Arbitrage betting is very difficult because you need to have accounts and money on many sportsbooks and they are very likely to close your account because this strategy implies to always bet on the best odds available.
Hedging will help to reduce your loss if you think you have made a mistake by betting on one outcome, but it won't help you very much to make profit. And you can just reduce your stake instead of betting on opposite outcomes, if you are using it for initial bets.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 10, 2024, 04:44:10 PM
As a responsible gambler, you shouldn't paste this kind of news without any warnings or disclaimers, because as you could see on his Instagram post it's obviously an advertisement. https://www.instagram.com/p/C4QEGdbO5HW/
Celebrities rarely leak their bets and their gambling habits. Here he posted his betslip without hidding the name of the sportsbook he used to place his bet. Unsurprisingly we know he's tied with this casino, so it's obviously a fake/sponsored bet he did with fun money for advertising this casino.
294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need honest advise concerning this. on: March 10, 2024, 03:54:48 PM
Go straight to the point in every topic you decide to discuss with. Focus on the relevant information that you want to relay, and spare off from those unnecessary information that will only make your post longer. While it’s never wrong to create longer post, but forum members will always find it more readable if the post is only short but precise, compared to longer post because admit it or not, it’s so tiring even just by looking a long post ahead.

And lastly, don’t be obsessed with getting merits. You will eventually reach that point once people have seen confidence in your posts. Focus on acquiring knowledge and reliable information, and never stop learning from those reputable members in the forum.
It's a bit contradictory to say it's never wrong to make long posts and then to assert it's boring and tiring for other people to read them. Forums are a place whose purpose is to exchange and to communicate with people about one topic. So the way of communicating and expressing yourself is very important and certainly the most important thing. It's ok to be a layman, to not have relevent content and informations to share, and to want to learn from other people, but your communication should always be efficient and smooth, in order to respect other users.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: March 09, 2024, 10:56:48 PM
The game of luck that is involved in gambling, is it the one of individual grace which attracts goodwills? Or it is by the days the gamble decides to remember you and then gives you the chance (s) winning?

I brought this up here because last night I went visiting a friend in his house and getting there, he was busy concentrating on his phone which I knew nothing about what he was in there doing.
He pleaded with me to be patient a little so he could finish up what he was doing and I said okay, go on and don't even stress yourself hurrying because of me.

He went silent at me for over 10mins and finally, it was the casino game tha he was busy playing.
The next thing he said to me was... Mate, let's roll out to the mall, I am taking charge of your bills tonight.
It was like a joke and we both went shopping and he paid $800 of my bills.
Guess what fellas, he said he won $13,980 in his casino bet while I was in his house. He claimed it was by my grace of goodwills and positive energy that attracted him that luck to win so, he don't mind having me 10% of that winning because he can't remember the last time he won a bet.

I don't really believe this dude because such grace has not even worked for me although some of my physical trader friends sometimes says they have more customers anytime I comes around their trading centres and they love having me around.

Does this really happen a reality or it is just some sorts of mental reasoning fellas?
That's a very strange story actually. Winning such large amounts is not common at all, if you are not a high roller and don't wager large amounts of money. Maybe your power only works for other people and not for you. You should try with someone else, but usually addict gamblers don't like to talk about their losses, only their winnings because they deny them. So maybe your friends is just one of them, and he has been lucky this day.
296  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can gambling sites provide proof of auditing that was done on their RTP? on: March 09, 2024, 10:46:33 PM
That's a good proposal indeed. If casinos or third partry slot providers would provide links toward reports from certifying companies, users would be less reluctant and more confident to play not provably fair games, so it could be a good thing for both sides at the end: casinos and players. Because it would certainly attract new categories of players, more suspicious players for example.
297  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-02-06] Major Bitcoin Options Trade Hints at Upcoming Market Swings on: March 09, 2024, 09:43:37 PM
A noteworthy transaction in the Bitcoin options market has sparked discussions of impending volatility for the cryptocurrency. An investor recently engaged in a large block trade involving 1,500 sets of February call options coupled with an equal number of April put options. This move was orchestrated during Bitcoin’s consistent trading range between $43,000 and $42,000. The total value of the portfolio involved in the trade amounts to a substantial $260 million and accounted for over 30% of the daily trading volume.

Read the full article here: https://en.bitcoinhaber.net/major-bitcoin-options-trade-hints-at-upcoming-market-swings
The fact this investor bought an equal number of put options for the next month, that's to say 1500 for April fuels speculations about a large dip right after or right before the Halving happening next month(around 18th April). It seems big whales are already anticipating it and are not planning to hodl their Bitcoins. So I think we shouldn't expect this bull run to continue during several months now.
298  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-03-05] Bitcoin's Leap Past $65K Ignites Speculation of Qatari ... on: March 09, 2024, 09:27:00 PM
That's interesting because Gulf petromonarchies certainly need to deal with Bitcoin in order to trade with countries under sanctions from USA or Europe, if they want to avoid being monitored by them and boycotted or punished if they find out they're doing business with red flagged countries. But I don't think few purchases by somes emirs from Qatar will be able to trigger and to support a strong bull run like this one by their own.
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need honest advise concerning this. on: March 09, 2024, 08:59:34 PM
I've been advised that as a newbie i shouldn't rush but to learn from old forum members and grow. But then, I've seen that for one to grow over here you need to get merited and on a regular basis, well i believe at this point i should've been able to acquire some merits, despite the fact that I'm still a Newbie but then i don't see the Merits coming, even after some post i felt could fetch the Merits. It makes me wonder if my posts are not Merit worthy or Quality enough.

Though it almost got me díscouraged, however instead of being discouraged, I'm open to learning ways or how to get the Merits and grow on here, my questions are what I'm i doing wrongly? How can i improve it and also where is the best board to write on if i need these Merits coming?
I have quickly look at your posts and I think you should avoid to post in sections widely spammed such as the gambling section if you want to receive merits and add some links or pictures to your posts more oftentimes. In addition you should increase the typography and the formating of your text, especially when your post is long because people won't read it in full if it doesn't look appealing.

12 month sub = 10$
6 month sub = 5$
3 month sub = 2.5$

Price will change after 28 march
On the OP it's written $3 for 3 months and $6 for 6months, so you're doing a promotion until 28 th march that's what you mean? Bitcoin fees are currently too high to make small transactions with it so what other cryptocurrencies with small transaction fees are you accepting for now? I would like to try with 5 subs to begin, in order to see if it's working because your prices are very cheap. You just need the name of the streamers we want to sub and our own account name, that's it?

3 month sub = 3$
6 month sub = 6$
