2801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which upcoming DeFi projects would you recommend? on: March 15, 2021, 09:25:35 PM
Cartesi had huge gains since...

Do you recommend any new coins?
Try watching out NFTs, It's on a trend now and making pre-sale investors a lot of profit especially if it is tied with a good exchange. Though we should be careful to other existing Defi tokens, Hackers are eyeing out Defi tokens like what recently happened to CAKE  yesterday.
2802  Economy / Reputation / 1xbet Luring out non-crypto gamblers on: March 15, 2021, 08:03:23 PM
1xbet has gained a pretty bad image in this forum and all over the internet. With their unsolved accusations and outstanding issues, They tried to run and continue the business by creating other casinos that are mainly them which is 1xbit and kawbet .

Today while I'm watching some interesting youtube videos, I've noticed that some Filipino youtube content creators are being paid for advertising 1xbet on their youtube videos. I can feel that 1xbet is now luring non-crypto gamblers to their casino by offering them a 100% bonus deposit which is a pretty good deal for starters. I don't know if there are other YouTubers that accepted deals from 1xbet but as of now, I am only seeing Filipino content creators that are promoting it (I rarely watch international content creators).

I just hope that no one will become a victim after this and come to this forum to rant about 1xbet.

2803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM in a gas station on: March 15, 2021, 07:21:03 PM
These things have started to be non-news, more like adverts for the companies installing them, make a quick interview about a company, promote it and classify it as news. The most important thing in all of this is one line:
I have the same thought, Bitcoin ATM exist on different kind of places years ago but this is also nice that they are starting to promote their product which is the "Bitcoin ATM". It helps the community especially those who are interested in giving it a shot for them to experience it.

Quote
Fees range from 6% to 20% of a total transaction,

At those rates, those things are starting to target one-time shoppers, fleece them as much as they can, and then to the next buyer or more like victim rather than focusing on volume and on dedicated customers. Just for fun, I looked two weeks ago at a Batm, the fees were not that bad at 7% but buying 100 euros worth of bitcoin wouldn't get me 93euros in my wallet because they would also charge me close to 15 euros for the tx.

If they keep these things up and go full KYC on every purchase they will soon be left with no customers.
It will be hard for them to sustain their business if they charge this kind of ridiculous fee to their customers. I tried bitcoin atm in my country but the fees were not large as this. For me, it was a nice experience but it's still more cheap buying thru online 3rd party sellers.
2804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOKEN ALICE will be listed in Binance the 15 mars !! good trade everyone ;) on: March 15, 2021, 06:11:13 PM
Too bad I slipped on this project, It's true NFT is blooming on crypto right now and It's bad that I just ignored this. Seeing the price getting to the moon knowing that you have a chance before on the presale but you didn't bother to put some cents in it is just heartbreaking to see. Happy for those who instantly got rich with this NFT!
2805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: March 14, 2021, 10:09:49 PM
Well people at the outside world of bitcoin sees bitcoin differently from the way we see bitcoin, there discriminate bitcoin ignorantly and tag the individual scam activities on bitcoin thereby making bitcoin looks like a high risk investment but here we are benefiting from same bitcoin there see as scam, truly there are really ordinary people because there can't really see the benefits there stand to archive from bitcoin and  most of them are just being afraid of price volatility unknowingly to them that price volatility is really what makes bitcoin beneficial to investors and traders.
People who are outside cryptocurrency space probably see bitcoin and other cryptos as a scam because of those scammers who are using bitcoin and other cryptos as a tool in their scheme. People judgement is just based on what they only see that's why we can't blame them. The lack of knowledge about bitcoin and how it works make them very uncomfortable even trying it.

There are people who hate new things or has a hard time dealing with it, that's why they tend to just put their ignorance in it.
2806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum wallet, choosing one on: March 14, 2021, 09:20:58 PM
I am currently using myetherwallet, trust wallet and safepal wallet on my erc20 tokens. I didn't have any problem with those 3 especially myetherwallet because it is my first ethereum wallet and It can be connected to my ledger without a problem. Using trustwallet as my daily driver on accepting and sending tokens regularly. Also, I'm using safepal wallet for airdrops. I have other wallets but these 3 are my main ETH wallets.
2807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: March 14, 2021, 08:27:54 PM
If OP is still doing this resolution of his, I'm sure he gained pretty good profit from it but since he planned to accumulate bitcoins, he doesn't care about the prices as he indicates in his post.

I hope OP will update his weekly table to see his entry prices and his accumulated bitcoins.
2808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network on: March 14, 2021, 07:50:20 PM
Pi is a phone app trying to monetize and has over 13 million users.  What do you guys think about this?

https://research.aimultiple.com/pi-network/

https://medium.com/the-blue-stars/pi-network-will-be-the-next-bitcoin-of-the-future-d571ffda58f9

I have heard that they are spying into your phone as there is no mining which can be done on the phone. I myself wont recommend to get involve in this PI network and risk your security/identity as we don't know what data they are monitoring on our phone.
It's something that is advisable to download into old phones knowing that there are risks like this. pi doesn't really have a value right now and as far as I can see the team is just keeping their project going and doesn't have a plan yet to conduct a crowdsale. Pi network is existing for more than a year and I believed that there are only a few miners in the early stage that are still mining on their application today because their token isn't tradable.
2809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell Altcoins on: March 13, 2021, 09:37:04 PM
Since then I only believed in bitcoin that's why my bitcoin occupies the biggest percentage on my portfolio for long-term hodling. I'm only hodling very few alt's for the long term. Though I'm trading many altcoins for the short term. My portfolio could look like this

55% bitcoin
20% Long term altcoin
25 % short term altcoin

Balancing your portfolio could give you profit but choosing your asset smartly is more efficient.

Having 30/70 on a portfolio isn't that bad if you picked the right altcoin you will hold. A good altcoin can give you more profit than bitcoin.
2810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how would you explain chart like this with your experience in crypto? on: March 13, 2021, 08:20:53 PM
just checking https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/suretly/     (DO NOT BUY! JUST A RANDOM COIN FOR MY STUDY!)

that coin started at 15 USD, fold down.. then classical 2017 rallye up and now it is just 0.15 USD Smiley

a) why it goes so downhill after release? all ICO sell it or what is this a sign of? are all coins with chart like this (first price high, then fall down) a sign of something not going well?

b) what is this enormous high thin peak? some transfer to exchange or? 13th August 2020: 0.03USD -> 13 USD -> back to 0.03USD

c) if the coin is only on hitbtc - is it a scam coin as hitbtc or it can be just a good coin on a scammy exchange or is hitbtc any good? Have read a lot of sad stories on reddit about hitbtc that it is a selective scam or something.. don't know.. using binance so far...
As far as I remember I gained a small profit from this token way back in 2017 on trading it in a short period of time. I recommend not trading it today since the project is most likely dead and it also has a very small market cap which makes the token dangerous, Investors on this project bailed out as early as they can for sure and dumped it all the way. hitbtc has gained such a bad reputation over time so you should not bother going there, also most of the listed coins are somehow like suretly situation.
2811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading your strategy on DEMO is a waste of time on: March 13, 2021, 07:56:46 PM
It's been a long time now since demo trade was created but there are still exchanges that offer it. I'm also sure that there are experienced traders who are using it by trying out their experiment or new strategy without spending a dime. I know that the sense of fear of losing your money force you not to do mistake on trading and push yourself to learn things fast but there are people who can't stand that fear that will probably not take the chance to learn trading.
2812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sources of information on: March 13, 2021, 07:09:30 PM
Hello guys,

What are some solid sources of information you are using to take trading decisions?
I am new into Bitcoin/crypto trading and I'm pretty much basing all my decisions on what I read on CoinDesk and what I hear on the Ledger Cast podcast.

Please, do not auto-promote your new blog/twitter account 🙏🏼. I'm looking for stablished sources of information.

Thank you very much!  Smiley

One of my crypto news sources is coingecko which shows the latest crypto relevant articles, It's more like a compilation of the latest news from different websites. Aside from it, I am also using the good old CoinDesk.
If you want to get the news first, Try following the social media accounts of those projects you are interested in so that you won't get late incase you get FOMO yourself.

2813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IDO IS THE NEW ICO on: March 13, 2021, 06:03:54 PM
While IDO maybe getting a lot of hyoe right now because of the recent projects that has been using it to gather funds, I am a bit skeptical to it's way of managing money gotten from investors or more like how they implement rules on how they take investments from a project's community. Mainly the fact that very limited spots are available for small tome investors which means that the others have big investments placed. This makes it scarier since it is easier for bug whales to manipulate market prices with this kind of rule. That's what I think
Projects today are taking any opportunity so that they could achieve their hard cap and it just happened today that IDO is on a trend in the crypto space. Investors know that projects that are under IDO can make them profits in a short period of time especially that there are projects that have proved it. I'm sure that before joining these DEX offerings, investors should know the pros and cons of it in short term and in long term.
2814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Did you earn or get any good money form airdrops? on: March 12, 2021, 08:26:35 PM
From when I start using and working here on Bitcointalk my opinion on airdrop was not good because from what I understand you get probably 1% or less.

Now I want to try applying or getting airdrops today.

Question:

1. Did you used airdrops that you got and used them for trading?  Did you earn from it?

Question from the subject itself:

2. Did you earn or get any good money out from airdrops? How?

I always say this sorry for the question it may be a noob question but please understand I never tried airdrops some of you might say or reply that my question is searchable on google or something. I trust (60 40 trust issue )those that I read there on different websites but it's different when you know you can ask and get replies from real legit people that are you guys, who know a lot about airdrops and experience getting airdrops.

A good income can be earned from airdrop and I earned it. I have been joining airdrop since 2018. There are thousands of Airdrop in the market. But they contain 90% scam airdrop. If you want to find a real Airdrop, you should go to the Real social media account of that Airdrop and check its announce whether they have started such an Airdrop. Check the details of the project and contact the admin through telegram to get information about it. By the way, some Airdrop have given a lot of profit. Hydro, energy, uniswap, TWT, SFP etc ...
I'm sure you earned a pretty good amount of money from these airdrops. Airdrop trend from 2017 is still relevant to this day because there are still very few airdrops where you can gain on. But as you said, the majority of airdrops are just scam or have no real value in the market even if it is airdropped in your wallet. Proper research can do but honestly, Having a lot of airdrop in crypto space right now, It's hard to detect most of them if they are real or not.
2815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade + study = great combination on: March 12, 2021, 06:52:02 PM
~
Copy trading? Heck I won't even attempt that kind of strategy, even if it counts as a strategy.
I also do software development and it's like copying someone else's code with just changing variable.
I don't think you'll be able to analyze and study the market itself by doing that, well sometimes you can't really understand the market because coins have their own volatility in price anyway.
You have a point, But newbies on programming do copy codes or rely on pre-made codes on the internet for them to imitate it or figure out how can they do it. In the process of learning, It is very helpful to rely on something that has been proven and just figure out how they did the original owner do that. Copy trading isn't that bad if you are learning from it but if you just rely on it forever without learning anything well that's just like copying someone else code and just changing its variable for your own good.

I believed that we have different ways of learning and finding the most efficient learning for yourself is the best. As long as we ended up on our goal, It's fine.
2816  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ceo ng TNC . Scammas? on: March 08, 2021, 10:29:22 PM
Talamak ang ganyang scenario dito and as of now wala kayong magagawa kundi kulitin nalang ang naka usap niyo tungkol sa service na ginawa niyo. I also don't know if yung kausap niyo is yung CEO pero may hinala ako na part ng team member nakausap niyo. One of the thing na sa tingin ko makakatulong sainyo is iTry niyo iPm yung other pages nila or sali kayo sa telegram and ask the admins kung nabayaran na ba sila sa services nila. If nabayaran sila, May chance lang na nakalimutan lang kayo. You can also post scam accusation like nung sinabi ni mk4.
Hindi din madali bumuo ng Filipino community at other than that active pa. I hope mabayaran na yung backpay niyo kabayan.
2817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Simple Question - Your investing Strategy on: March 08, 2021, 08:07:38 PM
My portfolio now is divided into two, I identify them as short-term assets and long-term assets. The short-term assets are for the tokens that are on the trend and I know that their value will rise anytime, also could be sold anytime. And my long term assets is the one that has a good product and can be sustained. These assets qualification is based on their roadmap and current partners. Most of my tokens are bought on their dips and on their accumulation phase. In this way, my token/coin investment could give me more blooming profits.
2818  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Data suggesting more than 95% traders are losing on: March 08, 2021, 06:38:21 PM
Only very little people have preserverance needed to be success and that goes to other things aswell, even in life only very few people could succeed the rest just becomes canon fodder for the succesfull people but when it comes to trading im pretty sure the remaining 5% consists of vip groups that got fed with information from the higher ups people and very few individuals, (no im not talking about crypto but stocks in general) but when it comes to crypto I guess people like the small fries have more chance.
There are actually more individuals that are successful in trading. Traders are using technical analysis and have a basis on their trades. I am assuming that VIP groups are a signal group that most likely is using technical analysis on their signals. Losses are inevitable in trading, and losing doesn't mean you aren't successful, It's one of the obstacles in gaining winning trades.
2819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi project, the easiest scam gateway on: March 07, 2021, 06:57:30 PM
Not all DeFi projects are fraudulent. There are decent and promising startups that will bring big dividends. But no one is immune from deception. Decentralization opens the door to various scammers who take advantage of the chance to appropriate other people's money. You can trust these deceivers and lose all your capital.  Lips sealed

Therefore, you need to treat this industry of digital currencies with extreme caution, you should always keep in mind such moments as volatility and huge credit risk.
Scammers are treating every trend as an opportunity for them to deceive people who just want to earn profit from their investments. There are actually good concepts that turned out to be a scam project that makes the idea go to the trash. With this Defi trend, scammers are doing the same thing they did on the past trends like ICO and IEO and people who experienced being scammed in a scam project becomes sceptical on the start of the Defi trend which makes them miss the opportunity to gain pretty good profits on early Defi projects. I'm talking about scam victims trauma.
2820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading signal work or not? on: March 07, 2021, 06:06:02 PM
I just want to join paid crypto trading group..anyone pls tell me ,this type of group doing scam or not? and does it work?
Not a scam but i's completely illegal and might the SEC, IIRC were making an action if they know that there is a project that involves such activity due to that law was under by SEC.  That was also known as a "pump and dump" group scheme, but the most will get profit is the one who organized the group and might possible they are playing with all of you as a member, IMO.

So I suggest you avoid this group because there's a high possibility that they might lead you to a loss in trading.  You can trade on your own with the courage of proper research, there's no need to cheat in trading just to earn.  The paid trading group aren't long last, it will always exit altogether with your money.
OP should avoid this pump and dump scheme, It would be bad if he joined on a paid trading signal service who are just literally doing this scheme. There are proper trading signal groups that offer their Technical analysis that supports their signal which for me is the right thing to do. But knowing how to trade yourself and knows how to create and read the TA of others will greatly help. Groups that give TA signals work and you can use it to gain more knowledge in trading along the way on your journey on making yourself an independent trader.
