I thought there's no game tomorrow due to the transfer of venue, but it was posted here (https://pba.ph/) that we have a scheduled two games today.

I've just read that there are some modifications on the schedule and did not know that there is a venue transfer, may I know where they will transfer?

at 2 PM, we have Rain or Shine vs DYIP ( time to bounce back for ROS)
at 4:35 PM, we have TNT and Phoenix, this one is great, Phoenix has to win but TNT is just the better team here.

My Picks for the day:

Rain or Shine -6.5 @1.88, DYIP has not found the ingredients to win yet while ROS needs to bounce back.
Rain or shine just missed 1 point to cover the spread, final score was 83-77.
Therefore you loss the first game mate, but you are looking good at the 2nd game.

Phoenix +5.5 @2.01, TNT might be a better team but with this HC, I have second thoughts that they could cover this one so I'm backing Phoenix with HC.

Phoenix led by 5 points at the half, the score is 45-40 and TNT seem to have a problem with the defense of the Phoenix.
Will see if TNT will come back or Phoenix will just dominate them.

Westbrook improved his all-around game but I still do not see him as a real PG.

He might not be the best PG but he is a real PG, for a guy that averages a triple-double and won his first MVP back in Oklahoma City Thunder, I think we should not doubt him. Lots of positive expectations by him now that he is playing with the Lakers, but we can never guarantee that chemistry will work.
Yeah, the question is what is a bench mark for a PG? isn't it the assists category? and we all know that he broke the great Oscar Robertson record, so I also consider him as a real PG. As far as chemistry goes, I don't think he has the James Harden attitude, he has work recently with Beal and it seems that they click. And maybe with James and Davis around, he could still play high level basketball and can continue his triple double game every night with the Lakers.

It's how you carry the team and give success, well, we still have doubt with Westbrook as he did not win a championship first. Actually, I don't see him only as a good PG but he is an all-around player that you'd like to play with in a team, I'm sure Lebron will be happy having him as he doesn't have to exert a lot of effort, they have Davis and Westbrook to help him.

Irving is a good PG also, but if he did not pair with Lebron, he could have not won a championship, Cavaliers was a shitty team when Lebron left, and even when Irving was with the team, they can even barely quality in the playoffs.

I just notice I've seen almost all the rookies this season and they seem to have not impressed me yet.

The last time I was impress was a Rookie playing with Terrafirma DYIP which is CJ Perez, when he started his PBA career, he doesn't look like a Rookie as he was already making double-digit points consistently in a game. What are your thoughts on the current Rookies, who is the biggest one you think has a good potential to end with great numbers in the conference?

I had my eye focused on Mikey Williams as he was controversial on asking high rookie salary despite not proving anything yet and yes, just like what you said he doesn't register impressive numbers on his first game.

He only scored 7 points in his debut from 2-10 shooting, I think his shooting form is kinda awkward, so most likely he gets his point in the paint because he looks really athletic. IMO, Ray Parks is better than this rookie and sadly he is not with the TNT anymore. I just comment based on my observation as I don't really follow Mikey Williams's career before the PBA.
2805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 30, 2021, 02:32:06 PM
I am not an active gambler so I would mind budgeting too much when I do gamble, Whenever I am about to gamble  I only use a small amount of money that I have and if it seems like my unlucky day and I lose continuously I will stop gambling and try again in some other day or if I have time.
There's no problem with using a small amount of money as long as you get the entertainment, the only purpose we gamble is to entertain ourselves and we have different ranges in terms of bet or bankroll. Some people feel nervous betting $100 in a certain game, but for some, it's just small money that will not thrill them, so it always depends on our financial situation and not everyone can gamble as not everyone has a good source of income.

Today's first game is over.

Magnolia with yet another win and stay unbeaten in the conference, beat the Terrafirma DYIP with a score of 105-83, it was a clear mismatch and you can really tell how good Magnolia's chemistry is as we have a lot of players who scored double digit in this game.

4-0 now, they take the slot spot at the number 1.

Nice win but it's already expected so I'm not surprised with the result. I'm watching the 2nd game now between the TNT and ROS, so far it's a close game so hopefully, we will see a very entertaining game, Mikey William has his debut in this game, let's see if he can contribute as expected.

It did not end as a close game, TNT with another win and ROS are in 2 losing streaks already.

I try to chase the ROS by betting on a per quarter basis, I did not win the 3rd quarter but almost got it in the 4th quarter.
I just got a little greedy and bet on the ROS -2.5 in the 4th quarter, that last shot was missed, I could have won that bet.
2807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 30, 2021, 09:16:16 AM
I don't like the way the Lakers are doing things now. I get it, they are building a team around Lebron but they just keep on giving short contracts for players. It takes out the chemistry that is happening with them.

Well that's what the Lakers did when they acquire Lebron, they gave up a lot of young and talented players and then kept Kuzma and KCP. Now the two are also in the trading discussion to get Westbrook.
The trade already happened per report. https://www.skysports.com/nba/news/36226/12367611/russell-westbrook-traded-to-los-angeles-lakers-in-blockbuster-deal-with-washington-wizards

Quote
The Washington Wizards have agreed to send superstar Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers for three players and what was the number 22 pick in Thursday night's NBA draft, The Athletic and ESPN have reported.

In addition to the first-round pick, the Wizards are receiving Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell, per the reports.
No more talented young players for the Lakers, they are desperate to win a championship again and I think the starting 5 is enough to win again.
They can easily acquire players with the skills like Kuzma and KCP, they just need to focus on building a good chemistry with the new addition.

Crypto casino operators do understand already how to manage the risk of their operation, understanding the volatility is pretty basic for them and I believe that they are investing in crypto as well but they make sure their business will continue to operate profitably despite the price volatility.

There's one site I know that is operating profitably but close its business during the bull run last year.

look at here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1674772.4500

The owner must have made a lot of money already.
2809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the bulls back? on: July 29, 2021, 01:58:25 PM
Market is moving which is beautiful thing. But, nobody knows about crypto pump and dump. We can only do technical and fundamental analysis which can be also wrong. Meanwhile we are still waiting for the crash since bullrun is not confirmed yet. The weekly close is very crucial, let's see where it closes.
But some people no longer expect a market crash, but instead expect another bullrun to appear, and if anyone can confirm a bullrun, where can I find that confirmation so I don't miss it when the next bullrun actually occurs.
No one can confirm, it always depends on how you see the market, that's why there's a risk of investing because you only predict based on what you read and hear, and if your prediction is correct, that's the time you'll enjoy the profit, but always remember, this is a gamble, you can't be right all the time, so learn how to manage the risk.
2810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 29, 2021, 01:12:21 PM
I reckon you underestimate popularity in elections because in reality elections are only a popularity contest. Trump won versus Hillary on 2016 because of his popularity among the lower class in America. I speculate that it might be similar in Pacman’s country. This win versus Spence will create a clamor for him to run as president.

Also, if the news media begins creating storylines that the present administration of a country is corrupt, unjust and oppressive, this is the first signs that there are political backers begining their move. Pacman will be with that move. In any case, I predict that he will declare he is running for president if he wins.

Pacquiao's trust rating as of this late has declined due to his attack on the sitting President which enjoyed a very high trust rating even if this is his last year in the position. Before Manny flew for the US, he accused some government agencies of corruption which he could not prove, and instead of doing his job as a senator, where he is in the US training for his fight while the people he ought to serve is in danger of this delta variant of covid.

He might not admit but he is distracted by the issues on his home country. Believe it or not, more people are now praying that Pacquiao will lose this one because they feel that Manny is selfish and only after his own interest.

Only fanatic blinded political supporter will do that but the rest will still support MP like dilawans and some Filipino whose political view is not so dense. Just like what the user said above, Politics and sports should be treated differently. Many is carrying our flag for this fight and maybe his last fight for his boxing career. His attack to the president is not proven but I'm he has a lead before conclude on that which every people agree. PHILHEALTH and DOH is a department full of corruption on this time of Pandemic.

I will honestly not vote for him if he runs for President, and even being a Senator again, I might still not vote for him, however, sports are different, we look at his potential and I believe he will not be an 8th division champion if he is not good, and in everytime he fight, he unite the Filipinos.
2811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 28, 2021, 04:02:43 PM
Caismero always talks like that. I don't know if he's either getting to the opponents head or he's just hyping the match up to sell it to the fans. Or he did it for both reasons.

I've read somewhere, (maybe here or some articles?) that according to Casimero's camp, his trashtalk is a way to promote the fight because Casimero itself doesn't know if he can generate good revenues from PPV or ticket sales. Maybe the majority of his fight wasn't able to yield good revenue. To confirm it (which I doubt sales aren't good) I will try to search for it or if anyone has statistics for it, I will be glad if it will be shared here.

No problem for trashtalks as long as he can prove it on the ring. It's just that it's unusual to see a PH boxer doing some trashtalk.

Casimero just trying to do everything to sell his fight, boxing is not forever, he understands that so he needs to do everything so his income will maximize before the time will come that he will retire. He has not made a lot of money in boxing yet, and he is in his prime now, so it's just right to promote his fight.

Maybe some do not like his style, but it's him, if we support our fighters, we should also promote him.
Pacquiao and Casimero are different in their style but their wins bring pride to our country.

Casimero has not lost a fight since 2018, and he is still young at 32 years old, so I will never doubt betting on him even if he will be listed as underdog in this fight. After his win in his last fight, this is the statement of Casimero.

https://sports.inquirer.net/405357/casimero-chasing-big-money-after-another-impressive-win

Quote
But whoever he fights next, Casimero is not settling for loose change.

“Ayoko na lumaban ng maliit na kita. Kung maliit lang na kita, hindi na ako maglalaro,” said Casimero during Tuesday’s PSA Forum webcast.

This means he wants big fights that will generate big money, and he needs to sell the fight to generate big money.
Rigondeaux is a good opponent, he is a champion so probably it will also bring big money to the fight, but the biggest in the division is Inoue, so he needs to take care of the business by beating Rigondeaux.

It's a boring Wednesday, all 3 games ended at a high margin from the winning teams.

1st game SMB 99 - Blackwater 80
2nd game Alaska 74 - ROS 48
3rd game Meralco 91 - Phoenix Fuel Masters 80.

By the way, I can't help by notice, Hugnatan is still contributing to Meralco Bolts, he has 11 points on 20 minutes of action, this man is ageless.

DYIP is playing a good 1st half, we are in the 2nd half now with DYIP leading by 3 points. Anyone here taking the NLEX -3.5 full game?

I think NLEX will come back and win the game, they lose their last game and I'm sure they'll bounce back here.
DYIP is still a bad team, I have no confidence in this team so I'll always bet against this team.

I did not bet on the last game, I am just watching the game as I don't feel I could win. Your decision seems right, NLEX Road Warriors had a great run in the 3rd quarter, they beat the DYIP by 11 points and they are already in the lead now with 8 points going to the 4th quarter.

Congratulations, NLEX won the game and covered the spread.

The final score is 108-94, https://www.flashscore.com/basketball/philippines/... it's a 14 points win, and they dominated the DYIP In the 2nd half of the game. My bet was NLEX/DYIP..lol, the opposite happened.

It was a team effort to come back and win the game, they really want to bounce back from their previous game's loss.

Ravena only scored 5 points of 22 minutes playing, I think this is unusual, maybe he is excited to play in Japan?

Well, for those that have been feeling regret and think that they're just lucky because of the injury.

It's part of the game, whether the superstars got injured and that lessened the teams winning power. It's part of it, and what's done is done and congratulations to Bucks, 50 years in the making.

Wow!

And Bucks should be proud because it was their franchise player who helps the team to make it possible, unlike other teams that need to form a superteam in order to win a championship, you know what I'm saying, right?  Smiley

If Giannis will win another championship, then I will have to admit that he is already in level with Lebron James and Kobe Bryant, for now, there are people who are still in doubt that the Bucks will not win a championship if they face a healthy Nets or a healthy Lakers/Clippers in the NBA Finals.

look at the NBA winner odds for next season, Bucks is x10.  Grin

Odds are unreal, what? Bucks x10 to win a championship? I think we should take this early as this might drop.

Since this is from sportsbet, you can also try to use a price boost to increase that odds, let me try.
Well the odds increase to 10.90, that's another bonus if they'll win the championship.

My concern is only the Nets, if they'll beat them again, then they will have a good chance in the NBA Finals as Lebron is not getting any younger if his team will reach in the NBA finals again.

I think poker is a good example for a game that requires an amazing mental health. Sure luck in involved, but think about those guys playing the world series of poker for seven days or so. Sitting at the table for 10 hours a day, never lose your mind and be patient and patient even if it's not going well for you for a day. I respect that a lot as to me it is quite an achievement to get through these huge events. Even players like Gus Hansen started losing their minds, interestingly when they got older. You would think they'd be more calm as they got older, but you have less mental fitness and endurance.

Indeed, poker is one of those types of game which you really need good mental balance,

Lots of thinking between right calls and bluffing, stress mistakes and enjoyable turned around, end of the day with luck and good system
or sets of strategy that you used, most of the time you end up winning the game or if you lose you learned and try to recreate and adjust your strategy.

Poker is a skilled-based type of game, I believe we have a lot of successful poker gamblers, there are even the young ones who are already a millionaire because of Poker. If we want to take gambling seriously, then this is the type of game that we should focus, skilled-based so we can use our skills.

you'll be stress, that's normal in gambling especially if you are still learning or improving your skills, but if you keep improving and you focus on your goal, eventually you'll be consistent in the long run and that will make your journey a profitable one.

Northport almost upset the SMB on their big 4th quarter run.

SMB won by 2 points only, but the 4th quarter score was only 23-9, they held the SMB to 9 points only.

Top performers.

SMB. Perez 18 points, Santos 17 points, and Cabagnot 16 points.
Fajardo only had 8 points in this game.

Northport
Slaughter 23 points, Bollick 19 points, and Onwubere 12 points.

2819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 24, 2021, 09:20:21 PM

let's take it one step at a time, I know we want a Filipino champion as we support them, but Casimero still has to win against Rigondeaux so he will pass on the next stage.

True, Rigondeaux already not in his prime anymore is a very dangerous fighter, dangerous in a manner that he can beat an opponent with his defensive style, I think even if Inoue will face Rigondeaux, there's still not assurance that Inoue will win, and we can count out Donaire as he loses against Rigondeaux in their fight.
One loss to a  boxer doesnt mean that he would really be having that kind of status forever. We wont know if Donaire had really improved or not but surely these two had already past their prime.
Inoue is been targeted out mainly but i dont see for this guy to be beaten up easily.Lets just see  on how Donaire would be handling out Inoue if they would be having  a rematch.
If this fight would happen then it   would really be getting that some of attention or hype specially we had already  seen those past match-ups.

Though Donaire lost in the first fight, I think his odds are better now compared to the last time as he won against a champion and not only a simple win, he won by his signature KO style. Also, I believe that Donaire will be more inspired, will work hard to beat Inoue as he wants to have a good legacy in boxing and would like to retire as champion in the bantam weight division.

Halftime at the moment between Phoenix and Alaska with Phoenix leading by 11 points. Seems another upset is looming in the horizon huh.

And Phoenix got the win! You have won your ML bet. No Wright, No problem as Vic Manuel leads the team.

Not just him but his teammates also step up on that game. Vic Manuel is playing like he's not a veteran. Phoenix needs that kind of player as having a dominant forward is one of the best assets of any team in the league.

Wright's ankle sprain is projected to feel better in a week or two.

We might see more underdog odds for Phoenix while Wright is still out due to injury, I liked it, I mean it's an opportunity for me knowing that even without Wright, this team can still win and everyone is contributing.

we have other players also who scored double digit, https://pba.ph/recap?match=1902577

Perkins has 12 points, Melecio 13 ( must be a rookie), and Jazul got 19.

Yes, he is just a rookie but he is already showing up.

19th overall in draft, Aljun Melecio certain he made the right decision to skip final year

Well, consistency is still very important, if he can contribute double digit points consistently to the team, then he will be a big help for the Phoenix.

I think he can be a good point guard, and we usually see the rookie's talent once they are called to step up because their best player is not available.
