2841  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: "BTC giveaway" scamming sites get mind boggling BTC inflows... on: February 14, 2021, 08:34:56 PM
I saw this domain, It is spammed all over Twitter but I just ignored it every time. I really didn't expect that someone will fall for this really. Those amounts that are collected by the scammer were serious and I can imagine the faces of the people who sent in that address. This shows the number of people who are too greedy and just hoping for easy money.
2842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin did you make the most money from? on: February 14, 2021, 07:31:51 PM
I profited on different altcoins but most of them are minor profits. The one that stands out for making a good gain is BTC and ETH, I just hodl them up and the value is now astonishing. This bull run makes most of the coin stand out and gain their value full potential by making them go to their ATH. I'm happy to those who bought coins at the accumulation phase, You did well in making money!!
2843  Local / Pilipinas / Re: (BSP warning) illegal online gambling on: February 13, 2021, 08:40:38 PM

2844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I sell my xrp or wait until $1? on: February 13, 2021, 07:44:58 PM
I think anyone who holds XRP even after all of this situation is taking a huge risk and I do think that they should stay away from it. Not that it is impossible for XRP to go to 1 dollars, but at the same time if something else makes 5x profit while xrp barely touches 1 dollars, what is the point of having that kind of return and risking it? I rather go with things that I trust more and that is a lot better and easier if you ask me.

I think buying BNB would be a lot better idea for now, it is developing very nicely and building a whole infrastructure for itself and the price reached from low 20 dollars into nearly 150 bucks recently, so I think it would be smart to do that. Everyone has their own decision to do whatever they want and whatever they want to buy and hold, but I just do not see this one as something that would be profitable for me enough to take on this much risk.
I agree, XRP could face a crash if they lose their lawsuit against SEC. I think it's a gamble hodling XRP now if you bought it at the current market price but if you bought it somewhere around 0.1 to 0.2 you might not feel the damage of the crash. barbara44 has some point in changing the coin, There are some coins now that has better potential than XRP.
2845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the Ethereum Gas Fee go down? on: February 13, 2021, 07:10:00 PM
We will continue to see many complaint about unfair transaction fee at this time. We have to pay a lot to the miner and because of that they are probably the biggest beneficiaries right now due to the increased fee.

Since Uniswap has become a preferred exchange target by the DeFi and ethereum communities, since then the fee of gas has been seen to be very high. In my opinion, Uniswap is one of the factor causing the increase in transaction fee at this time. They are ranked first today with the highest gas consumption. We never know when these fee will drop, but I hope ethereum developer can do something good to bring down the current transaction fee.
This is true.  Uniswap is one of the biggest contributors to making ETH fees high. Defi trend makes the Ethereum network go overload with transactions that caused congestions to the network that results in high transaction fees/gas but we can't blame them because we all share the same network. It's just sad that some people are cheaping out gas fees and ending up having failed transaction that makes them spend more.

Let's wait for ETH 2.0!
2846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Still Profitable To Mine Cryptos In 2021 on: February 13, 2021, 06:39:41 PM
Miners are keep mining so mining crypto is still profitable. Estimating the cost and result is a must in mining. Considerations in electricity bills, Hardware to use, the cost of each GPU due to rising demand in the market, the ambient temperature in your location, and many more considerations are needed. Some crypto mining companies are heading out into the best geographical locations that have low electricity fees and cooler temperatures just to make sure they can get the ROI for a much shorter period of time.

If you feel mining isn't for you then find other profitable ways like trading or investing.
2847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I messed up and feel terrible about it on: February 13, 2021, 05:52:51 PM
I messed up, big time. I don't think I've messed up that much in a long time.
I sold my almost last bit of Bitcoin I had, (about 0.03 BTC), during yesterday's new all-time high at approximately 37.000 Euros. It's definitely a small amount, close to nothing, especially when comparing to what you guys probably have, but I totally screwed up.

I did it thinking that the price would crash later on, then proceed to spend that money to buy more Bitcoin, but I don't see that happening. I should have kept my balance intact, 0.03 BTC would still be 0.03 BTC, now, in order to buy back I'd have to spend way more money than I would. I think that I might be panicking way too much for nothing, I mean it can't continue rising forever, but the thought of regret is eating me.

I'm sure that you are not the only one that is regretting selling early. I am one of those who sold early but I don't regret that much because I only sold part of my bitcoin at a certain price. I learned it the hard way on the last bull run in 2017 by selling most of my bitcoin at a single price and regretting it for a long period of time. I learned my lesson and did the right thing so now I'm satisfied every time I sell my bitcoins.
2848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC were to permanently freeze at one price , would you buy ? on: February 12, 2021, 10:18:47 PM
If we imagined that bitcoin turned out that way, I think I won't buy one. Let's be honest, most of us bought bitcoin for profits and its key features are the second thing that brings us to acquire some. As a trader, If bitcoin turned into a stable coin now the bitcoin market volume would significantly go down over time knowing that investors would sell because they don't have anything to do with bitcoin, There is nothing to lose or gain with bitcoin. I'm pretty sure that bitcoin will be abandoned because of its fees on every transaction. I think it's not that sustainable if bitcoin remains at a certain price or becomes stable coin.
2849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: February 12, 2021, 09:48:02 PM
if the doge became expensive, it would be a very positive thing. but keep in mind that this increase has the impact of elon musk saying that doge to the moon, and most likely he also bought and made the price of doge pump up.
I think it's not that positive thing. You said it yourself that Elon Musk made the dogecoin pump. Imagine if Elon dumps his bags in the market, The followers of Elon who's were mainly driven into the cryptocurrency market and are just holding DOGE believing that the price isn't overpriced will be at loss. The supply of dogecoin is very big for its price and there is no hard cap in mining it that's why I think it is overpriced today.
2850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking a loan to buy Bitcoin? on: February 12, 2021, 08:51:05 PM
I think what we are seeing right now is a rocket that is launching. I want to get on this rocket and I think any minute it could be too late as there is already all kind of heat shooting out of the rocket. It is hard to get on at this time. So I am considering to take out a loan of say 20.000 Euros. It wouldn't kill me if it fails but I don't think it will fail. Even if it crashes it will come back 2 or 3 years later. And yes we might eventually end up seeing prices of $100M per Bitcoin or maybe $1B. I am saying this not so much because I think Bitcoin is a great invention. I am saying it because I think the Euro and the USD are currently collapsing. Now since Elon has gotten on others will get on. And eventually the government can not make Bitcoin illegal anymore because too many people are heavily invested.

Do you think taking out a loan makes any sense? The problem is that right now I can not do it because due to the lockdown my income is too low. I would have to wait for the lockdown to end. Then I can work night and day for a month so that I end up making like $7000 within a single month. With that I will easily get a loan of 20K maybe even 50K who knows?

Do you think it is worth it? This might be a once in a lifetime chance.
In my personal opinion, This is a very big no-no for me. Loaning to buy crypto is not the way. Getting into debt is risky knowing that you don't have a stable income today because of the pandemic, you don't have an assurance to pay for it or your plan might be go upside down. I know that you know that his plan is risky but consider your own quality of life if your plan fails.

Your speculation is very positive towards bitcoin but today we are nearing the correction period and it might not the time to accumulate some.

Remember to just invest what you can afford to lose.
2851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: February 12, 2021, 07:54:29 PM
Happy Friday, gamblers Smiley

Some time ago, last October, I asked you if BTC price increase has affected your gameplay somehow. Back then, it wasn't a problem for most of the users who replied.

Well, today the BTC price is almost $50K. I was just wondering, how are things now.
Are you still playing with Bitcoin, or have you switched to another coin due to a rise?

Thanks,
Karl from Bitcasino
I am one of the people who said that I will still play on the quantity of bitcoin and not the value but honestly today with the bitcoin price on the market I can't stand with my own words, I am playing now based on the USD value because bitcoin is getting expensive day by day and my session limit's BTC value is going up and up that's why I decided to limit myself on USD value. I think it's better just to hodl BTC and switch to other alts with lower fees because the network fees have also gone high.
2852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The future of AME on: February 12, 2021, 07:18:10 PM
It's not as expected, where the bounty hunters who spend their time participating in the campaign that ended this week with round 2 don't have enough advantages. they are facing the AME price situation which is getting smaller day by day. yes I am one of those who participated in the campaign until rounds 1 and 2. maybe the first round was pretty good because of the initial launch, but in the second round we haven't received any prizes during the past week, because GAS is still high. if GAS goes down I think the AME price will go back down.

I'm myself waiting for the tokens to arrive just because their ^team^ is waiting for gas to go low which is not going to happen any time soon, but they said they will send the tokens today itself so I'm eagerly waiting for the tokens. By saying that, I don't mean that I'm willing to sell it but would rather wait because in this bull market, there are very less tokens which didn't rally yet or are under their IEO sale price. So, I personally believe this project has the potential to push this token to at least above 10 cents which will bring their marketcap to around 25 million and even if it doesn't, what will I lose? Nothing.  Grin
I'm also part of the round 2 participants and also waiting for the tokens to be received in my wallet, I don't put too much stress because it hasn't yet arrived in my wallet though I'm waiting for it to arrive expecting that there will be a dip once the round 2 participants start selling their tokens and it will be the time for me to buy some AME tokens. I'm not shilling but I see that the project team is serious about the project by having their recent partnerships. I'm rooting for the AMEPAY to successfully build its own blockchain in quarter 2 of 2021.
2853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My 1 month testing trade result $500 profit on: February 11, 2021, 08:08:34 PM
My $350-$850 journey in 1 month

I don't tell my self as a expert trader. But i am not newbie also. But i can rank me as a average trader. I follow some rules to trade with my money. But last month we saw a huge pump and dump in crypto. From 4th January 2021 i decided to do a test in spot trading on binance. Then i start with $350. In spot trading. After a whole month today i am happy with this result.  I make a profit of $500. Truely this is huge if you are newbie because for newbie future trading is not user friendly. And i have done this trade as a test perpose. So if you are newbie you can start with spot trading.  It is a friendly suggestion for everyone. It is not for expert traders. Because you guys know what you have to do. Newbie guys can take a safe profit with spot trading and learning more for future trading.

Keep safe spot-trade, safe game, safe money and safe profit.

This is a friendly motivation for all of my crypto users who wants to start a trading journey. If a single person get motivated by me then it will truly make me happy.

I am not a signal provider or a trading teacher. I just share my result with you. You please learn your self. And don't believe anyone who says they trade for you and take a percentage from your profit. They can scam with you. Please be aware from this type of scam and make a healthy trading place.

Well played OP, You really did well on trading. It's a good move to trade into spot trading first, There are many newbies who traded into futures and got liquidated and quit trading for the good. I have a friend who chooses trading on futures instead on spot first, I am strongly advising that it would be better and safe on spot trading first but I think he just wants to earn fast profits  Undecided  btw he's a newbie, I just feel that he is just playing gambling not trading.

I hope that your journey in these upcoming months will be according to your plans.
2854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and Trading Strategies. on: February 11, 2021, 07:24:59 PM
I guess there's many ways to do this. Let's say you invest £500. Your goal is to 10x you investments and happily pull out.
You invest in 5 coins. £100 each.

You track your investments and see that on your £500, you now are overall 100% up and see you have made £500, so £1000 in total.

Would you pull out £500 or would you leave it all in to grow to your 10x?

Any strategies here I can get to know?
10x is pretty hard and can't be easily achieved even if you have strategies to do it. First of all, I honestly would not target 10x because it can give you the unnecessary feeling of greediness and hope inside you. Setting up a plan after the analysis of the coin you are targeting would be better and applying risk management into your capital so you won't lose all the way if you experience a loss on a trade.

Well, Your technique of diversification could be effective in the long term especially if the market is in the accumulation phase, The chances of making a profit from there is high.
2855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i wait for a pull back on ada to get in on: February 11, 2021, 06:48:54 PM
I would always buy on the dip whichever coin it is, ADA has still potential knowing that it still hasn't hit its all-time high so there's a chance for ADA value to grow. If you plan to trade it for a short period of time, I think it's just ok to buy at 0.9$ price range since you can make a small profit in it on its approach to 1$ but if you plan to hold it for a long time, For me it's a no-no.
2856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Dogecoin reach 1$ soon? on: February 11, 2021, 06:07:16 PM
The dogecoin has already pumped up twice with the help of popular persons like Elon Musk, now that many people are trying to invest in Dogecoin, expecting to have another madness on doge. So what if, Elon Musk and other popular experts stopped supporting this meme coin, is there are a possibility that Dogecoin reaches 1$ on its own?

Well, like what I've said, this is just a meme coin, no utility, no usage but what do you think will be the realistic value of Dogecoin for the upcoming years?
As you said, It's just a meme coin, no utility, and no usage. This is why I think it won't reach 1$ especially on its own. Dogecoin recently got traction because of the influence of Elon musk shilling this coin and I'm sure that after he profited he will bail out immediately and will cause thousands of people who will be on loss.
2857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I regret selling BTC for entering DeFi. HODLing is the way! on: February 11, 2021, 05:34:05 PM
I learned the hard way that Hodling BTC is the only way. I wanted to grow my BTC so i sold my 1BTC @32K a month ago and put that money in DeFi for yield farming in those high APY. I took some losses and some gains. Now BTC jumped 47K. If i would have just HODL all this way i would have more USDT then if i buy BTC now. Lesson i Learned: Yield farming is useless. People put so much at risk entering smart contract not to mention the daily time waste. Just HODL and you would have more more money than anyone yield farming in long run.
Yeah, We can consider it today as a wrong decision, But what if BTC dumps and your Defi journey were successful? It's about taking chances but it's not bad to try a small amount first and if successful you will not regret it like you are experiencing today. I'm pretty sure that it was not only you who has the same case, There are many people now who regret selling their BTC and put it to other things that they can get profit. I also sold some of my bitcoins in the 28-35k price range but I didn't sell it all, I made a partition in selling and I'm glad that I did it.
2858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost phone with bitcoin wallet on: February 10, 2021, 09:10:33 PM
I was very unfortunate to have lost a phone that had bitcoin sitting in the wallet. I was foolish and did not back the wallet up. I am wondering if there is any way to get my bitcoin at this point? I should also mention that I lost this phone 2 years ago and the lost bitcoin is now worth about 60k so whatever I could do to get it back.

Any advice is extremely welcome.

I think it's a little bit late for you to recover that lost wallet of yours, If you are using a non-custodial wallet your only option is your backup and if you are using a custodial wallet contacting the support will have a high chance of retrieving but it happened 2 years ago so we can't expect help from them. If you know your wallet address you should better check it out first before retrieving, There's a chance that your bitcoin is stolen from you since you lost your phone.
2859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 10, 2021, 08:35:13 PM
Are you sad to see the current market situation? YES to ME  Cry
1. Seeing insane eth gas costs, Unable to trade small amounts of tokens due to expensive shipping costs.
2. Seeing the increase in the price of BTC reaching the new ATH, I can't do much because I don't have any BTC investments or other coin investments whose prices have gone up.

Oh my GOD .. my life is very sad. I hope BTC and ETH prices drop dramatically, amen  Grin
Well, I honestly can't say that this bull run is sad to me because most of my hodlings got up and got a chance to sell those at a satisfactory price. Though there are some regrets that I can feel because I didn't put most of my money on cryptocurrency during the accumulation phase. Gas costs really got up and there are times that gas prices are crazy high for us to trade, This is the hinder of blooming market transactions. I think before that bitcoin will just stay up to 30k and will never go to 40k that's why buying bitcoin and altcoins is really a scare to me thinking that the asset value is too high and also thinking that I might be burned when a correction happens.
2860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's not a good rise, actually it's bad on: February 10, 2021, 07:46:55 PM
At least people are knowing about bitcoin because of Elon. Yeah, I know this is wrong in a way that Elon can cause influence in the market, but if he has good intention, then everything is okay over here.
Lets look at the bright side. Because of Elon more people are knowing about bitcoin. Those who are truly curious will start to learn about it and get to know how it works. And then there will be people who blindly joins and waits to see what happens next to make some quick profit. Now lets say, Elon says something bad about bitcoin and praises XRP (which you are worried about), then those who blindly followed him will sell everything, make a loss and jump to XRP. On other hand, those who studied and now knows the advantage of crypto currencies, they will stick to it. In the end, we get a positive result, more "educated" people in the market, while "sheeps" leave.
I have the same perspective about this topic, I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of people who got curious about this cryptocurrency thing that Elon is influencing over his Twitter. Curiosity is what people drive in discovering new things and Elon shilling did somehow good in cryptocurrency. If the crowd who were dragged into the crypto universe and got educated, I'm pretty sure that they know someday they don't need to follow Elon Musk to gain some profit in cryptocurrency. Though there are negative things like the scenario in the first post.
