A black market is hard to take down in reality because of its big backers and even though the government tries to seize it, It won't be eliminated. It's also true that other illegal activities are connected to it. I personally haven't experienced gambling in a black market and I don't have a plan to be playing at it. I own more than 1 BTC few years ago but I sold most of it when the price starting to fall. I believe that the price of bitcoin will rise again but my family push me to sell it to secure my wealth. I didn't sell all of mine, there are some amount left that my family don't know about it. As if people become richer the necessities also increase then I think although more than 10 BTC is not enough it's depend on the lifestyle. I personally want to have atleast 100 BTC, maybe I look so greedy but I need that amount to run big business. One of my goals is to open bitcoin related business so bitcoin users can be more easier to use their BTC.
Well regrets are inevitable when you saw the promising asset you sold before rising its value. I think your family is also regretting their actions of telling you to sell after seeing what's the value now. We do have different lifestyles and most of the time experiencing having extra money for spending want ourself to try new things until we adapt those experience resulting in high maintenance necessities. It's very possible to long term on futures especially if you have a large margin so you won't be liquidated if you are on a cross trading. But I prefer short term trading on futures because I am always using isolated on trading in futures because of the small margin I have. A small margin can be liquidated on a cross trading easily.
