Hey I just tried this out. Good job man! It's a cool thing. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I entered a number and selected 5min. I then send $0.20 in BTC and it connected. It worked like a charm! Cheers.

The factor I worry about is a loss of net neutrality. If that happens bitcoin's fate is in the hands of your ISP. They could demand a fee for all bitcoin traffic or just not allow it at all.
couldn't you use something like tor to hides your traffic, or an alternative proxy? it should like any torrent file in the end, i'm hiding it using a vpn Yes. I think so. However it would greatly hurt adoption if it were even partly banned. My hope is that BTC will spread to normal people. They need it as much as anyone to counter the power of banks. I would work to evade any such measures, but it would be a very specialized currency at that point.

I will get my first coins tomorrow. I am pretty excited about it. My wife thinks I am a big nerd.
I wish I had a counter argument for you to use. ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) If you come up with one let me know, my wife thinks the same.

If you really want to challenge your beliefs ...
You have good points. People are representatives of God ... ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) For the record, I think DASCH is barbaric and they should be put to the sword. lol The God I heard about growing up wanted us to be good to each other and did not care about us eating shrimp. But in truth, he did not say that to me. [/devils advocate]

If you really want to challenge your beliefs ask yourself if ISIS could be right. No one knows the mind of God, perhaps he fully supports the acts of DASCH. They think so and who am I to disagree? They are much more in line with ancient scriptures like the Bible. Most believers these days make up their own rules and claim God's support. Why? I have not heard him say anything and the ancient scriptures are quite clear that killing is fine to use against non-beleivers, disobedient children, those who eat shellfish, etc. I suspect God will continue to remain silent on the matter.

I don't know about the future, but this is the only thing in my portfolio that I paid pennies for and now spend at a rate of hundreds of dollars a piece. And in only 5 years!

Perhaps you have heard the expression "buy low sell high".? I have bought at each crash and profited greatly by spending into the rally. We have been in a long term downtrend right now, so it is not as easy to see. But ever since I saw my first post saying "Bitcoin can never ever reach $1", I have ignored other people and done what I think is right.
You are right that there are no guarantees. If there were bitcoin would not be worth anything. Speculation is gambling and competition. There are always winners and losers and the winners are usually those who do their homework and pay no attention to emotion, fear, hype, or opinion.
Winners are sometimes those who get lucky. All we can do is guess when to buy and when to sell. Traders might make educated guesses after doing their homework but it all comes down to luck in the end. Sometimes what seems to be the worst trade you could make turns out to be the best decision possible because of luck. I agree that luck is a factor, for sure. Although I still think it is a skill to pick winners. Its a little like betting on sports. If you analyze the teams and crunch the statistics your chances of choosing the winner are improved. However, a lot could happen in the game and even a weaker team could win.

Many of these posts and websites say gambling or ponzi. That is not a scam, IMO. The problem is the user. Anyone who thinks gambling is an "investment" is going to be broke soon anyway. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

Since late 2010. Although there were a lot less places to spend back then. Now I really can buy almost any item. And frequently I can compare prices for the same item at multiple outlets.

You may not listen to the ponzi promoters, which in no way negates the fact that they're promoting a ponzi (the point I was making). To follow up on your "Nobody "tells" me anything" tangent: Most confidence schemes revolve around making the mark believe that he's smarter & better than the rest of the rubes, of which you're clearly become convinced ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I have made a great deal of money ignoring people who do not understand bitcoin. It really is my edge. You for example are warning about a ponzi and clearly you don't even know what a ponzi is. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) You had your chance to put up when I dared you to bet me and you pussed out.

Don't tell me you think that people posting that rubbish really believe it? The same people who told you Bitcoin would be worth $30,000/BTC by now?
That is the difference between you and I then. Nobody "tells" me anything. Just as we don't listen to your nonsense, we don't listen to that either. Especially someone so insecure in his position that he can't use his real account. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) We don't need your help man. We are doing well on our own.

@cakir - I added the link, thanks. What RodeoX said. Buying anonymously, if caught, means ...
Good points. I will have to find a picture of some of the gun markets in the Middle East. They will sell you all sorts of stuff. Then B.S. you by saying "Its ok to bring home, just put in luggage". yeah right. Can you buy in UK?
I think you are very limited in the U.K. I think even long guns require all sorts of paperwork, and pistols or machine guns are almost unobtainable. Here in the U.S. kids grow up shooting guns and its not a big deal.

So, there used to be a rules that newbie limited to the Beginners section for a period of time? I think we need to run that rules again, because it would reducing the amount of spam.
I agree. It brought it to a halt last time. I just ignore all the new accounts. If they are still here when they reach an activity level of 14, then I will read them. Most of the spam accounts never get that far. I think it is time for the nub jail to return. They can still post in the section for new users, but a new account that starts with a ridiculous FUD post should be banned immediately with no recourse. They are junking up the speculation forum with this stuff. And it is not speculation they are doing. Or maybe we should consider these kinds of posts to be scamming and give them huge negative trust. You can't trust a person who is full of B.S., right?

Hey OP, Mark and I are going out tonight to spend your bitcoin. We just bought matching switchblades to do coke. We like to get lit up then play a round at my indoor golf course.
With or without fondling? Let's see how it goes. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

We wrote stuff down. It's not that we evolved to be smarter, but by writing history we can learn from even those who are long dead.
