I believe 3 phase 220 is the most efficient form of power- I believe its best for mining.

Umm no...tell your electrician you want 1 phase 220v. 3 phase is completely different and not compatable with 220v psu.

There is no 220v in people's homes. The electrician will probably look at him like he has 4 heads.

It's 240v split-phase. 2 hots + 1 ground from a 2 pole breaker (and grounding bar). Each hot is 120V 180 degrees out of phase. When one hot is +120v the other hot is -120, the difference is 240v.

Exactly, and if you do not have empty space in your breaker box to add tandem breakers for 240 you cannot run it. Very likely you wont, which would mean you need to "upgrade your box capacity" so the electrician can install those tandem (2 hots ) breakers to create a 240 line. Whole new breaker box, breakers, wiring and receptacles.

Or you can just DYI and run some 12 gauge wire to some existing rarely used breakers that are on different bus bars Wink
LOL! That's exactly how I started out. Not DYI recommended for the untrained!! As I know you know. that was for others reading. ( VERY DANGEROUS)

How hilarious. You little gay boys put negative trust on me cuz you're butthurt. LMAO. Do you actually think I care about a forum trust rating??? Wow, you're some real serious players in here. Pathetic.

Willing to use trusted escrow. PM me your offers.

Hi,

Can you please post a pic of the miner with a piece of paper next to it, with your username and todays date.

thanks!
Why? So you can offer him $1,500.00?? I thought you said you weren't interested in this miner. You got nothing better to do than try and act like a bigshot on a fucking web forum you moron. OP ignore this clown. He goes around lowballing every add on this page. He's a joke.

Excuse me thats a quite rude and an unwelcome remark.

if I recall you messaged me starting with :

Quote
"Hey,
I Notice you are a pretty consistent buyer in the Hardware forum."

and
Quote

" Let me know if you have any interest or know anyone who might. I'd rather not go public and deal with that."

and wanted me to buy your miner for $8,000 which I was not interested in OVER-spending.

So please dont start some crap here. You messaged ME directly, not the other way around.

I am and have been a consistent buyer and seller in these forums for quite some time and my reputation speaks for itself.

If you are looking to start with someone, go look somewhere else, this is a very good way to get yourself some negative trust and feedback.

My inquiries have absolutely nothing to do with whatever you are trying to sell for 4x the price, which I am NOT interested in.

Please check yourself before signing on Smiley

thanks!

Ha ha ha ha...

BURN!  you obviously dont realize that buck is a player in this space, could buy you 5x over and is one of the most legitimate guys out there...

in other words... just do one pleb!
WOW! You can type and gargle balls at the same time. That's amazing.

Dam dig he bang your girl or something?!?  Ive dealt with buck rogers many times before and always been professional and is a no joke when it comes to mining and equipment.  I dont know why wveryone gets so uptight about pricing isnt that how negotiations go.  Chill bro focus that energy towards scammers not people who contribute to this community
First off, if you got some kind of gay love for this clown, keep it off the forum. No one wants to hear that shit. Second, he's not into women, which you just proved by your weird act of chivalry towards your Bromance. Lastly, when someone offers people less than 30% of an asking price on anything, he's a joke and a douche bag low baller. Not really useful to anything let alone the "community". But thanks for playing.

307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 25, 2018, 01:41:01 PM
This coins difficulty is going up higher than the ETH difficulty even

Those who haven't received their ASIC yet must be really feeling it every 30 mins that the difficulty adjusts higher and higher.

It adjusts 0.40% every block. So it will take a while to adjust up to a fair difficulty.

Fun fact: Out of the 15,000+ A3's that Bitmain sold last week, only ~1,700 are currently mining.

any proof link to 15k A3 sold by Bitmain?

a lot of assumptions here on sold amount, but not a single has a trustable source...
No there is no proof. Just the usual rampant forum guess, conjecture and speculation. In all likelihood it's more like 5k between Asia and other countries. People looked at the total Bitmain wallet transfers and extrapolated that number failing to realize that Bitmain sells other products too.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 25, 2018, 02:12:54 AM
well guess what if anyone had that power it would be bitmain sneaking something in the firmware, its sad because it probably defective hardware from bitmain possible a memory leak, or firmware issue, but they will blame SIA because its an easy taget with all that's going on in the community

Yeah because all A3's in different parts of the world will fail at the same time. lol
You have no idea of what you're talking about.

Sia Devs said they will fork to invalidate the A3's. It's really easy. They just have to install the new client version (that has the fork implemented) in the top mining pools. All the miners that are connected to that mining pool would be mining in the new forked chain and if there were A3's connected to that pool, guess what would happen: just what we saw today. I'm pretty sure they were testing it today.

The same problem happen with f2pool in china, sia has no contact or affiliation with them so no they were not testing IT today
WTF are you stunned?? IT'S NOT A POOL ISSUE!! The whole fucking NETWORK dumped today! Look at the chart. NOT FUCKING POOL RELATED!!
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 25, 2018, 01:53:22 AM
Do you guys even understand how blockchain works I mean you bought miners right lol,

the devs have no more power then you or the miners if they want to apply a new algo hard fork or soft work we all have to adopt it and upload it and get the latest release of their wallet. All that talk on bitcointalk is a bunch of miner that dont even understand what they are mining lol.  bunch of baloney you all think there is some magic button that can be pressed to invalidate A3's well guess what if anyone had that power it would be bitmain sneaking something in the firmware, its sad because it probably defective hardware from bitmain possible a memory leak, or firmware issue, but they will blame SIA because its an easy taget with all that's going on in the community
Ahhhh so all knowing "block chain expert". You're saying there was a simultaneous software failure across all working A3's today that also dragged the GPU hashrate down with it?? At least we admit we are not experts instead of saying something stupid like you from your high horse of authority and prove that you know very little.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 24, 2018, 10:37:28 PM
I think it was probably a pool overload or ddos attack as some gpu miners also reported loss in hash rate about at the same time. Probably a good idea to spear the hash between luxor(gulp), f2pool(double gulp) and siamining Sad

I tried Luxor and the same thing was happening.

@VoskCoin

I don't have any sources. But it looked like they were doing something weird
I can confirm that... It looks like they were attempted something and it was coordinated...
The spiked drop in Hash rate on the entire network is dramatic. It wasn't pool specific.

Not all A3s are mining on the same pool though, if there was some coordinated attack that affected A3s, that would affect the whole network
That's what I am saying.  The Drop was across the entire network. "It Wasn't pool specific "
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 24, 2018, 08:10:18 PM
Some ugly rumors floating around that the SC Dev team is testing a Bricking hack. Not a good sign. I guess that would lead to a GPU bricking hack and inevitably the death of Siacoin. These are some seriously dumb assholes if that is true.

SC Devs strike me as competent and fair, not business minded but not assholes either. I doubt they are going to brick anything.
Admittedly I don't know the first thing about it. I sincerely hope you are right. These are crazy times in Sia Land.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 24, 2018, 08:05:28 PM
I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist but if anyone has the power to remotely brick a miner it would be Bitmain, not a pool.
Can you elaborate on this please. I am no expert, but on it's face it would seem that the easiest way to do this would be through a software change. As previously stated, the drop in hashrate was across the entire Saia network. Possibly GPU's as well. Maybe mass paranoia is setting in.....

Hi,

I received my A3 and I have only one board working! did you face that?
Any idea how to fix this?
Try unplugging the boards and running them one by one. Most likely you have something loose. Also check if you have enough power.
I've had bad and loose connectors on PSU's as well, might just want to move them around, give them a proper inspection.

I tried 5 different PSUs didn't work out. I am looking for the flash it again do you know where to find the A3 FW?

What are current Profit per day on these things? Diff has already doubled.

Vosk did a Youtube video on his that he received yesterday and said $480USD.  I'm curious to see a daily breakdown of profit over the next week or two.
BTW Gotminer....Mark Baum quotes rule. Best movie ever.

Lol ... Yeah I noticed your forum username a month or so ago.  That movie is one awesome quote after another.  Love it!
No doubt. I worked in that world for decades. I worked on that Lehman trading desk. After living through that debacle, I feel the same as Ben Rickert in the movie. Hence.....the screename.

Yes I did see that. Good ole Vosk. Good dude. Calculators are just general yardsticks but the calculators are showing around $380.00 PD current. Should be much less by sundown....

Roughly where are current Profit per day numbers? I saw people posting $390.00 yesterday, but this AM looks like Diff has doubled already.
