301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 28, 2015, 09:55:56 AM
Is there a recent/more stable Windows GPU miner that is better? Or is Linux more stable at the moment to mine with? I'm doing 68 MHS, but I getting less than what the calculator reports (4.70 Ether calculator vs ~3 Ether actually).
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Questions about mining Ethereum... on: August 28, 2015, 09:48:27 AM
Current doing less that what the Ethereum Calculator are estimating, ~4.70 Ether and personally doing ~3 Ether a day instead. I notice the miner stops mining around 600~900ms when pool mining, but solo it doesn't have that issue. Is it a pool, windows miner and/or both the issue(s)? I'm current hashing ~68 MHS with 3x Hd 7970's.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Ethereum with Windows on: August 28, 2015, 09:45:06 AM
Only thing that I see that the miner stops mining for 500~900ms every so often for me. The hashrate reported in the miner doesn't seem to be the same on the pools. Maybe a possibility that the miner has a glitch to stop mining for ms of time and/or the share ain't being sent correctly for Windows. I have 3x HD 7970 that do ~68 MHS. When I enter that hashrate, it reports that I should get approximately 4.70 Ether. Instead, I'm averaging around 3 Ether a day.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: August 28, 2015, 09:32:26 AM
I can not get the wallet to sync, both CLI or GUI versions. I run the cmd prompt to get siad.exe to run and siac.exe, or I use the GUI instead of siac.exe. Am I doing something wrong? When I use the GUI version it just stays on block 1 with no connection, I've let it stay on for 3 hours with nothing going on. Any help is greatly appreciated in advance.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Most profitable coin to mine 750ti? on: August 19, 2015, 04:01:07 AM
Maybe Ethereum, it does about 8 MHS. But Ethereum is getting less profitable by the day as the big gpu farms are catching on now.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: August 19, 2015, 03:58:02 AM
-[Announcement!]-

BURST Windows GUI Wallet/plotter/miner Setup.exe is now released!!!

Here's a link to the instructional video...

https://youtu.be/8FHvD3b30ks

You will find a link there for the download of the exe, but here it is as well...

https://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/files/Win32/BURST_Wallet_GUI_Setup.exe/download

We hope you all enjoy the ease-of-use that is now BURST and Windows!

I haven't been here for a while, but like the new GUI setup. Only suggestion, maybe make a solo mining option and the ability to use the gpu plotter. Also, I notice that burstcoin hasn't been online for a while, why don't y'all just take it over. I understand he has a life and what not or maybe having a personal issue at the moment, but that shouldn't stop the progress of this coin. Wasn't there an original plan to link this coin to SuperNET or something similar?

Keep up the good work and I appreciate it, sure the community does too....

Thanks. Those things are all planned for future releases.

We will not let the development on the coin stop, if we deem a takeover necessary, that will be what will happen. Thanks for the comments!

Right On!!!  Cool

Also, how about getting some people to go to some of the crypto conferences for PR?

Since the GPU miner is out, are HDD's now a bottleneck? How much more power consumption does the GPU miner compare to the Blago miner or other miners?

Is there a profit calculator for this coin? Maybe a separate thread with hardware hashrates...
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Questions about mining Ethereum... on: August 19, 2015, 03:37:23 AM
So, I only current have a HD 7970 to mine Ehter and currently doing 25.7 MHS. I notice when I look at other people results, the 280x and HD 7970 seem constant at 24~25 MHS. The 290, 290x and Fury X do the same or slightly better by 1~3 MHS. More likely the miner isn't optimized for those cards, especially the Fury series. Instruction on the Ethereum forum aren't to organized, especially the mining which to me over a day to finally get working right. I couldn't get an HD 6950 2GB to work with the miner, I read that it requires a card with more that 1.4GB of memory at least. Maybe the miner only works for AMD GCN cards and Nvidia 7XX series cards or newer.

What would be ideal: mine with HD 7970/ R9 280x or a bunch of GTX 750 ti's?
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: August 19, 2015, 03:30:06 AM
How to mine this coin step by step? I can't seem to fine exact instructions on how to....

311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Sharkcoin surging in trade volume? on: May 28, 2015, 02:21:41 AM
My feeling is that nobody in the western community observes what the chineses do

Personally, I try to observe the whole crypto world as much as possible. I live in California(San Joaquin County), so somebody(me) does observe in the western community....lol

there is an altcoin having (or not) 3x the volume of LTC and 6 people noticing it here. lol

I just recently start mining it, until it's not profitable. If people are willing to buy it, why not cash in until it runs dry. lol

On a real note, it really doesn't have much development/tech going on and/or PR running on it. Originally it was trying to be anti-scam type of project, even though it has a 50,000 premine out of 400,000,000, IPO and a super block scam that supposedly occurred too. Just strange that it's doing that high of a volume with no public news.

It's not strange, just being pumped to shit and now dumping on everybody who thinks they can still get a piece of this shark pie..

the magnitude of pumping is strange....and that's why it should be observed. it's the pumpers that make a coin big. have you ever seen a pump like this on a unkown alt?

.....

Have you been in the alt section at all in the last year?

Though I do like this one, if only the next one was jetski coin.

I'd see it just above shark coin, and call it quits Cheesy

are you looking at the chart, or the volume? it's $5000000 a day being traded

Oh god, now I see why you're posting here..

Come on, you should be too smart for this:

#   Source   Pair   Volume (24h)   Price   Volume (%)   Updated
1    Jubi   SAK/CNY    $ 5,053,240   $ 0.679377    100.00 %    Recently

...really now...

Jubi?

Come on, man.

Hey what's your address...

I figured I'd mail ya a shirt so at least one poor bastard doesn't have to lose theirs Grin

That's why you need a QQ account and S3 translator addon on firefox to trade there, if you don't know Chinese...lmfao

Seriously, I do have a feeling it will crash hard, especially since there is no form of world news on it. Not trying to put a negative on it, but it's just seem eventual that it will on how it trended to a huge pump in a short span of time. If there's a possible creative use for it and/or tech in the works, I'm all for it to succeed.

Well I am trying to put a negative on it.

It's a scam exchange sending scam data to coinmarketcap's automated system.

End of story, good luck, see ya tomorrow it's time to take shots celebrate and probably eat ice cream.

edit: ok, definitely eat ice cream.

motherfucken vanilla.

More than likely it is. Since the data isn't shown on the market cap and the total supply, that shows that dev(s) support isn't there. Those should be easy fixes in the block explorer and api calls from the exchange.

we'll see. it's worth observating anyways
here's the chart btw: http://www.jubi.com/coin/sak/

btw: coinmarketcap doesn't show coins from 0 fee exchanges
worldcoinindex does, but it's not there yet

exchange was bought by btctrade.com it seams: https://translate.google.com.br/translate?hl=pt-BR&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jubi.com%2Fabout%2Fus.html

Are you sure it's zero fees? It shows 0.2% fees on transactions.  Huh

well, i read it on coinmarketcap itself: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sharkcoin/#markets
if the exchange says otherwise, than coinmarketcap should list it in the chart

Here's a copy and paste from their site that is translate via S3 translator addon in Firefox: "Sharks currency trading rules innovation Bulletin

Coins don't really die, until the blockchain is deleted for a coin some how. They do fade into obscurity without proper support, but that's not truly dying.

Hey Cedric, what ever happened to updating the wallet to the latest bitcoin core? I remember you mentioning that and that's more likely something that can be updated in the present/near future. Hope more people with the skills to help this project, can help you out. This project would be nice if it expanded more.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SAK] SharkCoin | PoW | Coming back!!! on: May 28, 2015, 12:24:48 AM

So I visited this site and it says that the algo is Qubit.  I thought SAK was Quark algo.  Am I wrong?

Yup, it's Quark. Guess the owner of the pool didn't go over it before creating the pool.

As it stands, it takes about 10,000~ khs to mine per 1 SAK daily. So, one 280x/HD7970  or GTX 970/980 or 2x GTX 750ti will mine 1~ SAK daily. I don't really know if it's worth mining unless you control a large gpu mining farm, preferably a Nvidia one for cost efficiency of electricity. Maybe worth it if you have a farm of 100 or more gpus.

Sorry it was a typo, it is now corrected to quark !

All good...lol

My calculations are wrong, it's about 10,000~11,000 khs per ~0.014 SAK daily. So, don't really look all that much profitable, marginal unless the price trends upward a bit.
