304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BITTREX VICTIMS APPEAL on: April 24, 2015, 11:22:27 AM
Bittrex is stealing our BITCOINS by stealing altcoins that we have paid many BITCOINS for and calling it DELISTING.

Poloniex is proof that this is not the case, that even though they delist a coin they also leave the option of withdrawal for unlimited periods of time, leaving the wallets online even for the coins that have broken blockchains.  I Find this COMMON SENSE and PROOF of good will and humane cooperation, where bittrex is proof of theft and violation of customers.

I , for one, have been "DISPOSSESED" of coins that i have paid over 10 BTC for, in a period of about one year.

They knowingly "Delete" our coins, even though they are in complete knowledge of the owner's amount. Last example is about 40000 SBIT for which i paid a load of btc, probably up to 0.5 or more, cannot precisely remember.

I do however have many screenshots and html files of my former possesions, which i consider stolen.

Anyone in this position please hold on to screenshots and html saves of the coins you own, which were supposedly "DELETED". The day comes when we will go to court and try to take back what is ours.

Please keep this topic posted, i will try to write daily so that other people, past and future victims see what is going on with this massive scam.

We need to form a coalition, bitcoin based, get enough money to pay a lawyer and strike back. These guys have no common sense whatsoever, complete CROOKS. I don't care where they are from.

PS : Why do you think they delete the history from time to time Huh You need to be kept quiet while they hold to YOUR COINS until the day they pump them on some second rate exchange and get your MONEY in their pockets.

I know there are many of us out here. DO NOT KEEP QUIET !!!

Is this you ?!

Now that I no longer use xmr.to I wonder if anyone does Smiley

You are not special you know, the causality in your sentence does not exist.

Yeah you should tell your xmr.to partners to keep their mouth shut and not insult people.

Amazing how times change. XPM was a top 5 coin only 12 months ago.

I remember traders on btc-e trollbox claim to have invested life savings into xpm just over a year ago...
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.4 on: April 14, 2015, 09:24:36 AM
Also; I thought I had come across a post recently where a CPU Miner had been released which acheived 1 k/hash mining XMR with a single 4770k CPU. The miner was specifically tuned for the 4770k.

Possibly I got things confused... anyone know anything about this or am I mistaken?

Cheers!

Strato

1kh/s on a single 4770k ? No way.

MONERO HAS BROKEN ANON AND NEEDS HARD FORK!

Just kidding, it's the final pull request for the blockchainDB mega-merge, so that's in testing now:)

You better start working out  Grin

Are you here for any reason other than being a bored 9 year old?

It was your lead developer who acted like a 9 year old and called for a fist fight.

Listen the interview with our core dev Fluffypony on LetsTalkBitcoin:
https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/ltb-e202-understanding-monero

Pretty good, way better than David's presentation.

Seem like Matthew Zipkin follows this thread closely, love his last question "Is there anything else you want to add, do you guys need developers?"

Primer- is more a fan of Andreas Antonopoulos and wants David to be like him. As he said multiple times on our IRC.
But i prefer our David - he doesn't spread Mac Malware: https://twitter.com/aantonop/status/433080081179611136

David would not know how to turn a Mac on Smiley

On another note...

Atrides, dwarfpool owner, is every scammers wet dream, here's why :

He operates the second largest pool, dwarfpool. Current hash rate 3.3MH/s.
The only pool that DOES NOT publish full block history! I've asked him to make this data available and was told every time to f..off. so I've scraped his "Last 30 blocks" page every 1 hour and have been doing it for some time now.

His efficiency for the last 2000 blocks is 81% !
No other pool has such low efficiency, feel free to check them all, both big and small, botnet-friendly and private. Such bad efficiency can only lead to one conclusion - HE IS SIPHONING!

Now take a look at https://github.com/freebazaar?tab=activity
Back in January Atrides asked the community for 10k XMR in donations to begin work on an openbazaar fork. Devs were quick to give support and asked the community to donate as much as possible. When someone suggested that the coins be kept in an escrow Atrides refused and the devs made no attempt to force the escrow or even suggest the donators do their own due diligence.

Move your hash elsewhere people!@#
I also expect the community to demand asnwers and a deadline from this professional scammer.

I don't remember seeing the exchange but it wouldn't surprise me. David is more of a business and organizational guy on the team, isn't that technical by own description, and certainly isn't an experienced miner. He has some business interest in mining now and has been asking questions because he isn't afraid to acknowledge when he doesn't know something, and wants to become better informed. What's wrong with that?

He is doing Monero PR work  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PRLuaD-qVQ) yet he is completely clueless about technical aspects. Had he mined one single block on the testnet he would have known the answer. If he cant research this on his own then he is no good, a core team PR should know better.

I was a bit exaggerating, sorry for that. But you still didn't answer my question why he would even lie about this?

BitFinex is a serious exchange they added DRK/LTC for one reason alone, strong development support.

Monero is still in its infancy, its just not going to happen.

EDIT: However, if there are negotiations in place, please have someone more technical and more fluent in English represent Monero community! David is not the person for this job!
David came into monero-pools channel couple of times in the last month or so, asking what he needs to buy to mine 50XMR/day. He is completely clueless.

2:13 AM <davidlatapie> Hi
2:15 AM <davidlatapie> Question:
2:15 AM <davidlatapie> Which hardware would I need to make more than 50 monero a day by mining?

I'm going to assume that those quotes from "davidlatapie" are fabricated.

EDIT: I hope they are!

No, this was the real davidlatapie, miners logging monero-pools channel can confirm.

David showed me the email conversation and I can thus vouch for him, so what you're stating is utter bullshit. Why would he even lie about this?

Watch your language.

More about David's PR skills here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PRLuaD-qVQ
If he is in charge of negotiations with Bitfinex its just not going to happen.

EDIT: I just noticed how David and Vitalik Buterin look alike, as if he is Vitalik's big brother Smiley

Anybody knows someone from Bitfinex?

BTW - Does anyone know about this? Were Darkcoin scammers trying to increase the supply at will?

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f7z840EcKjGNr7jZTwHL1u5HDTGNqHeeCszrR0Iy1J8/edit?pli=1
I contacted Bitfinex some days ago and I received a (non-automatic) reply about them looking into adding Monero. Methinks this is a good opportunity for other to propose it to.

Core team is so desperate they are on a FUD crusade themselves... Bitfinex would not touch monero with a 10 foot pole.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: April 06, 2015, 11:00:59 PM

The link he posted has the XMR.to API in it.

I don't click their links, they have supposedly spent thousands (xmr donations) on bandwidth, as if unlimited data plans are not default nowdays... Please link to a relevant doc on xmr.to...

What does spending $ on bandwith have to do with not clicking the link?

How slow are you ? I dont want to use up their bandwith, they claim to have spent most of the donations on bandwidth usage :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg10062838;topicseen#msg10062838
The Monero blockchain alone is downloaded hundreds of times in a month, with our bandwidth usage regularly exceeding 2tb a month across the download nodes. Obviously this provision is not cheap, which is why your continued assistance to this project is greatly appreciated.

"claim to have spent most of the donations on bandwidth usage" - where did we do that?

We said the provision isn't cheap; indeed, it involves multiples download nodes in various geographically disparate locations. Most of those nodes get like 30TB bandwidth free, so the indication is not so much the bandwidth cost as it is the upkeep cost of the infrastructure (every node has a base cost, the bandwidth "cost" is somewhat redundant).

To be specific, and quote from sentence before the one you quoted: "Download hosting consists of several servers scattered across the globe (3x USA, 2x UK, 1x Germany), and it serves all static content including the blockchain downloads, Monero binaries, MRL publications, and so on."

Nevertheless, it says quite clearly at the top of the post: "So, what did our ~212 BTC get spent on over the year? Or, in other words, what did we accomplish? Here's a bit of a taste before we dig into the nitty-gritty:" - and then it goes into detail on core development and the efforts of the Monero Research Lab before EVENTUALLY touching on infrastructure and bandwidth.

Keep trying, I'm sure you'll be able to fault the unpaid contributors to a free and open-source project soon, and then you can at least tell your mom you accomplished something this year. Maybe you'll even move out of her basement. All the best!

I love the mom joke Smiley How desperate are you...
Let me give out a warning,  lets not make this personal, otherwise i will have to handle this as i do other personal attacks.
