Barring DMCA complaints, you can run torrents all day long on ovh/kimsufi, online.net, etc.  I think they allow you multiple DMCA complaints, just as long as you remove the offending file within 24 hrs or summat.

I think w/ Hetzner it's one and you're out, but not positive about that.  May depend on how long you've been a customer.

I have four online.net servers that can sustain 35MB/s upstream that cost me 2 euros a month..

It was too big before... it probably still is.  I don't think it'd make sense to cancel it completely, though.  You'd still want at least some exposure on here.
305  Economy / Gambling / Re: Repayment idea for affected users with positive profit on: September 09, 2014, 05:35:51 AM
As the topic says, if you were affected by the bad code EVEN if you had profit, and you STILL want compensation please post here the username you had on site.

I will make a list, and try to pay each one of you even for the winning rolls in a timely manner. I need to compose the list, and see what im looking for. Then i will make a time schedule for all of you.

For any investor who made profit out of this, IF you want you are kindly requested to stash whatever you want at this address:  1CQLpLQmaqi7PHSTFRqhLDPK2Ebw9CW9sg  (hot wallet). It would be appreciated.

I have a great headache already, so please try to keep it flame free. I try to make it good for everyone, and you guys really dont help at all.

I will go through that list and keep updating the OP daily.

Thank you.

LIST TILL NOW :

Hmm, not really sure what's going on, tbh... and don't really have time to sift through all the posts.

Did the 'bad code' resulted in a crappy randomizer that could be taken advantage of?  If so, then I guess I lost out on something like .25 bitcoins or so that I deposited and lost gambling.

I am also going to bow out of the sig campaign as of now too, since I don't know wtf is going on, besides vry angry peoples (at 2567 posts).
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: "No block source available..." on: September 06, 2014, 03:04:23 AM
I have 14 weeks left to download and now I get this error message= "No block source available..."

I used to have anything from 8 to 16 threads but now it is 0

What is happening?

[...] I found this script: http://pastebin.com/wKytLZmc but noone running it. [...]

I run it with some modifications, i.e. http://84.200.34.113
I plan to add server uptime and bitcoind uptime to it too, but haven't gotten around it yet.

Morbilas (he wrote the one you linked to, if I'm not mistaken) also uses it on the nodes he sets up: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582817.0

I came across this which I quite like too: http://176.10.116.242/
Yeah, I posted about http://176.10.116.242/ a while back, but nobody answered (so I guess it's not public domain)...  I imagine it's pretty easy to do, but I wouldn't know how to make something like that.

You could try to make a post in the german section.

Im still working on a rrdtool test setup, update on my traffic:

It looks like the peers launch bitcoin-core after work/school/etc and shutdown after the/over night.

I was looking at that, but doesn't seem to be a way to limit it to show traffic by progamid (or by port, incoming port 8333 + outgoing port 8333)....  so it shows all my other traffic too, not just including bitcoind.

May be something other than vnstat out there that will do that, but I couldn't find anything..

ed:  well, the internal stats that bitcoin keeps would work.  which could probably be added if something like what is on 176.10.116.242 was done

No one can blame Stunna for missing payments right now he is too much busy with PD3 and most of members which are waiting for payments need some patience

No problem with the patience bit. We have waited  a couple of weeks. We can wait a bit more.  Grin And given the past history of payouts, I don't think we have to worry.

i agree. I'm still confident that soon or later we'll have an answer.

Anyways, since i'm not on this month list, yesterday i've changed my sign

If your not on the list still doesn't mean you will not be paid. Contact admin of it am sure will give you an anwser as I was not original on the list but after contacting was advised was little behind on things on updating but eventually got added on list. No harm in contacting OP to see if would get paid or not.

we contact Stunna a lot of time: we send pms, we wrote here, until now nothing. I hope we just need a little more patience.

I just use to fill out the forum each month Wright on topic and then pm. Took me my 3rd month before I was added to the list but contacted and waited and got confirmed payments where being sent to me then 3rd month into it got added to the list. Am sure Stunna will get to contacting you when hes free and sees your messages.

i hope so.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770468.0 would seem to suggest that lack of time isn't an issue.  I left feedback.

310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin core 0.9.2.1 crash on: September 05, 2014, 06:21:30 PM
Hello, My bitcoind win32 core often crash (windows XP), the error message is attached picture, if I use bitcoind.exe, the error message is follow:
Windows 64-bit installer
-------------------------

New in 0.9.0 is the Windows 64-bit version of the client. There have been
frequent reports of users running out of virtual memory on 32-bit systems
during the initial sync. Because of this it is recommended to install the
64-bit version if your system supports it.

if you're on 32bit windows, well, 3GB of RAM should be plenty for 32-bit bitcoin-qt.  are you using a high dbcache value?....  also, you can stop the sync and restart it after x blocks, and it'll clear up some RAM
311  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Running a full node is starting to be a pain on: September 04, 2014, 11:05:39 AM
I have nodes for Bitcoin, Infinitecoin, Dogecoin, Latium, and P2Pool going in the background, consuming less than 6 GBs of RAM out of my 16 GBs.
Memory usage seems to (mostly) depend on # of connections.

I have one bitcoind at 464MB with 80 connections, one at 503MB with 79 connections, one at 1665MB with 270 connections, and one at 1860MB with 349 connections.

Before restarting on the two @ 349 and 270 connections, they had 476 & 423 respectively, w/ 2323MB and 1935MB memory used.

Well, prior to having a couple of my messages being deleted by a "moderator", I was fine about being patient and waiting until this month's pay period, but I suppose for what it's worth I'll be leaving a negative feedback on Stunna's profile if I don't get the amount he owes me in the next 3 days...

This message is informative in nature.

Thanks
313  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What happened with Block #318677? on: September 03, 2014, 03:56:57 PM

Check this: https://blockchain.info/block-index/460155

The block is marked orphaned and all transactions in this block have 0 confirmation even this block was generated yesterday.

Orphans happen frequently. It's expected and a part of normal bitcoin operation.

That particular block was replaced by this block:
https://blockchain.info/block-index/460156/000000000000000011b56fc32434c44bfa911c2cb148f1bf4328a1b65b5edaeb

Most (maybe all?) of those transactions from the block that you posted have already confirmed in other blocks.  Unfortunately due to some bugs in the programming at the blockchain.info website, they don't always handle orphaned blocks very well and so their site will show transactions from orphaned blocks as unconfirmed even if they are actually confirmed in some other block.

If there is a particular transaction you are checking on, then take a look at it on some other block explorer such as blockr.io or blockexplorer.com.  You'll almost certainly find that the transaction is confirmed and has been for many blocks.
lol, just decided to check that in my log:

shame that blockchain.info only keeps the IP data around for an hour or two, i'm curious as to what the breakdown was % wise for the IPs it was connected to

my guess is it was probably orphaned since it was 250kb larger
314  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Running a full node is starting to be a pain on: September 03, 2014, 03:43:02 PM
Man I'd love to see a new specialized computer product which sole purpose is to run a BTC node.

Trezor has hardware for wallets, mining companies have hardware to mine, there are hardware units to make paper wallets...

why not a piece of hardware designed specifically to run a full node?

i have a couple, they have 64GB of RAM, and really fast CPUs

kncminer's business approach is similar to blue bell ice cream, they eat all they can and sell the rest!

Perhaps all you folks, or one on behalf of everyone should try contact Micro and let him know the issue and which people are waiting.
He seems to be able to chat to Stunna and get his attention.

A real shame it's come to that.  We are way past the time they were supposed to be paid.  It's almost like time for negative trust frankly.

Mostly its not Stunna's fault coz u guys maybe didn't fill the form properly , or u claimed to early or to late. So u did not show on initial list, and now Stunna just can't find much free time to check everything and pay everybody that are leftout.

Send him pm and wait till he gets time to check it. I will also bring his attention to this when i see him online.

Also i won't be here much in next 10 days coz im going to vacation tonight.

Not the time to shift the blame.

I'll give an example -- we were told that we would get a message saying if we were removed from the campaign or not.  I didn't get a message.  Later on I looked at the list of people that were "still in the campaign", and I wasn't on it.  Therefore, I requested payment a few days late, as I was going to skip this month since I had under 50 posts.

That being said, I wasn't going to worry about it too much until after this month's (September) payment period, since it seems like it'd be more efficient for him to make all payments then.

I'm not going to die waiting for an extra month on .1 bitcoins or whatever.  Some other people probably feel differently

on a side note, I've got something like ten referrals (page says 23, but I understand that's a bug) but very little commission.  it seems like you just have to get super lucky with a high roller.  most of these people will just use the faucet all day

(ed: I filled it out several days late, I made a post about it on here when I did, don't remember exact date)

Wow, what a steal at those prices.  If I bought the 5TH $9000 deal, I'd only expect to lose slightly over $4500.

We're open for business.

Today we’re proud to publicly announce the opening of our new cloud hashing system KnCCloud.com, delivered from our Clear Sky mining farms in the polar region.
Now that we’ve delivered most of our 20nm Neptune Bitcoin Miners we’ve got overcapacity from the expired ”Plan B - Hash While You Wait” offers. These were all delivered from our 7+PH/s Clear Sky mining farm in the north of Sweden. Now for a limited time we’re selling that overcapacity in packaged online mining contracts.
This is powerful Bitcoin mining made easy.
Our farms are naturally cooled by the surrounding arctic air and exclusively powered by renewable energy. Our miners and workers enjoy a clear sky view as we keep our hangar doors open for natural circulation.
Our 24/7 - polar night, midnight sun - operations features:
* Up-to-the-minute stats with graphs on your mining history.
* Individual payout threshold settings.
* One-click calculation of sharing balance among addresses.
* KnC Clear Sky Pool (PPS).
* 2-factor authentication & SSL-protected admin area.
* Split payouts onto multiple addresses automagically.
* No hidden fees (no setup costs, no maintenance fee, no pool fee, no energy tax fee). The price we market is the price you pay.
* No ”+-5% fluctuation” (we absorb fluctuations with our margin mining on top of the pool) - the terahash you pay for is the terahash you get.
Get in early - limited number of packages for sale.

1995 USD for 1 TH/s (6 months) ≈ 1.99 USD/GHs
(≈333 USD if calculated as a monthly expense)
5495 USD for 3 TH/s (6 months) ≈ 1.89 USD/GHs
(≈915 USD if calculated as a monthly expense)
8995 USD for 5 TH/s (6 months) ≈ 1.79 USD/GHs
(≈1499 USD if calculated as a monthly expense)
All applicable costs are included in the packaged contracts.

These online mining contracts are payable in bitcoin and bank transfers only and sold as full 6-months packages (they can not be paid monthly) and are non-refundable. Activation immediately upon confirmed full payment.
This offer is only available in select territories (we're working on expanding this list as quickly as possible).
Best,
The KnC Team, Stockholm, September 2, 2014.
