302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset? on: August 18, 2017, 09:10:19 AM
Bitcoin’s very volatile prices have reignited the debate about its usefulness as a currency or as an asset. In some ways, Bitcoin suits the definition of currency quite adequately but if the volatility is less. It allows for the creation of secure and transparent transactions. Thus, can be used as a secondary currency in future. Some of the experts have huge concerns over its volatility. But, sooner or later the prices may remain less volatile as of today.

I have mentioned few points about Bitcoin as a currency or as an asset in my article here: https://atozforex.com/news/is-bitcoin-a-currency-or-asset/

What's your opinion about BTC as a currency or an asset?

Suggestions and comments appreciated  Smiley Wink
I was comenting this question already, as i remember. Don't know why do you epeat yourself and ask the same thing second time? Is it going to be the same topic the third time as well?  Grin
Bitcoin has sides as of currency and asset all together. I am not shearing it. Different people use it on different way and there is nothing new in that.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LTC die ... on: August 17, 2017, 09:14:10 PM
I don't think it will die, but it's not going to get the amount of attention it has been getting.
That's right. In the beginning of the year litecoin has been counted as perspective one for investment. but after Etherum's pump all attention was mover on Etherum. And now there come a big wave of ICO's with their new coins and tokens and projects, which are cost cheap and promise a lot. So litecoin's attention has been shared among all that.
I bought couple of coins on the peak of Litcoin popularity and don't know what to do with it now. The price is just got frozen and I didn't get any optimistic news about LTC for months already. I think it is just got lost among all this new projects.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin? on: August 17, 2017, 07:31:57 PM
The biggest number of coins there must be at it's creator Satoshi Nakomoto. But if to be honest, nobody knows who is this holder who has over 1 mln. of coins. So, now we can create threads on the topic who it may be and discuss it nonstop. I suppose this fact will stay as the mystery till the person will uncover itself  Smiley
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: keep calm and buy the dips... on: August 17, 2017, 02:55:23 PM
You are showing yourself as a guy who always repeat "wasn't I telling you that!?". But you see, all this deeps are big money actually to buy Bitcoin, so it's normally that everybody is waiting to see some lower price. It is always like that. If to talk about myself even 200$ per BTC was high price to me. But I don't create any plans about buying of some bitcoins. Better I will put some on a side and this is going to be my version of the input in bitcoin.
306  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-15] $45 Million: Ukrainian Lawmakers Reveal Big Bitcoin Holdings on: August 16, 2017, 04:25:36 PM
Russia again uncovers the masks. I don't know who cares of how many bitcoins some Ukranian lawmakers have? Yes, they don't pay taxes from this kind of founds and what? Who knows how many politics and lawmakers in Russia who do the same covering their income from the tax system?!
307  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-16] Russia Begins Work on Developing Blockchain Standards on: August 16, 2017, 04:20:58 PM
Well done! It's clear sign that Russia has taken steps to shape its state policies to blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies. I thought it had been entity based on university facility but the federal agency is even better decision by many reasons.
Yes, that is going to be a break. Russija doesn't wants to stay on side meanwhile other developed countries have created their first laws about bitcoin regulation and acceptance. As I heard Blockchain's technology is accepted in Russia already. There is garbage reci long firm which use the technology of Blockchain from this year already. I was reading this new here on the forum. Correct me if I'm wrong.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: August 16, 2017, 09:17:16 AM
Maybe around you the situation is really like this.
Couple days ago I was reading the article here on the forum, there was the information that 80% of people in China don't know bitcoin. I think we can move it to all the world, but 20% is not so little number actually. I remember, when I just joined two years ago, we already have discussed this topic already here on the forum. And that time the talk was about 2% as I remember. Two years needed to the number raised ten times. I suppose now the number of people who know bitcoin will be growing together with Bitcoin's price and it's popularity.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the future of bitcoin is brighter then any other currency in the world. on: August 16, 2017, 09:07:35 AM
I'm from Serbia, ex Ugoslavia, and as nobody else I know how the time of currencies come and pass. Years ago our Dinar was known in all Europe and we could travel freely to Germany, Italy without exchange. But what happen after Ugoslavia fall? Nobody know us anymore, our currency and salaries is one of the cheapest in the Europe today. I hope for the great and long future to bitcoin, but there are no guarantees that it is going to be so, especially if someone will start to destroy bitcoin system.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looks like another crash is coming!! on: August 15, 2017, 07:48:45 PM
I always thought that alt coins are always raising after bitcoin, but it looks like I was wrong. Almost all alts are in red on all exchangers. I don't know why it is exactly so, but suppose that people decided to say no to altcoins, the bigger mass of which are just shitcoins, and move on bitcoin which get double it's price in shorter period than a month.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Putin getting ready to kick Bitmain's ass on: August 15, 2017, 09:33:07 AM
You all must be like WOW after this news. But I am stayed sceptical. You may call me a nerd, but I googled how much the electricity costs in Russia and it has nothing with this 80 kopeek the author says about. The scatter of the price is really huge just like Russia and it's from 0,97 (For Irkutsk which very far and not developed) to 4,28 (For developed and turistic Krasnodar). In USD it is like 0,02 to 0,07 Cents add to that on the price affect many factors, such us day and night tarifs, city, gas or electrical stove and many others. Add to that each year this prices are rising. So now it is a big question - is it really so cheap to mine in Russia or it's just new Putin's tric based on searching for new friends and business partners?
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: August 15, 2017, 07:31:51 AM
Wrong place to talk about this. This is not a drug forum or a dark web website. Besides, if you cared to read a bit about this forum, you'd be smart enough to stop doing drugs and talking about it Roll Eyes
That's right. I even doubt that someone will admit that he uses drugs. Even if it s just simple Mary Jane it is not the place to talk about it's use here. I know here on the forum the identity is hidden and we may talk about everything freely. But I still don't understand why this thread wasn't removed from this section to Off-topic, because of it is really has no sense here.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the world really needs virtual currencies on: August 14, 2017, 03:28:28 PM
Crypto-currencies and the Bockchain technology is really one of the greatest invention of the last ten years. But I'm wander will bitcoin will be able to save us during the financial crisis? You may say that bitcoin has saved us already. But I didn't feel the crisis too much. Even if it has place to be on me it hadn't any effect even before I joined bitcoin. But I really wander if the Great Depression will be repeated will bitcoin safe us?
314  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone who bought coin under $18,000 BTC, will look like a genius soon on: August 14, 2017, 03:02:04 PM
Wait till this really starts to go up we will all look like genius.
Real genius are those who bought bitcoin by the price under 200$. I joined bitcoin just in that moment when the price was 200-300$ per BTC, but besides that fact that I hadn't money to invest at all, this sum seemed for me too high for such project as Bitcoin. Normally now I regret I didn't bought couple of coins, but what to do? We all learn during the time and the experience.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Unstoppable on: August 14, 2017, 09:28:38 AM
The price for bitcoin is growing like a crazy. But this fact doesn't make bitcoin unstoppable. The government possibly can start the war agains of bitcoin and make it unavailable for use with simple banning. I think it is pretty possible to happen in the case if some new terroristic attact will be promoted with bitcoins payment and this fact will be proved or they may do to people think so, this is also possible.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: August 14, 2017, 09:20:26 AM
I've noticed the tendention of banks dying some years ago. In my country they are closing one buy one and if 5-10 years ago their staff was big nowadays they provide different cleanings to remove some workers and to put more obligations on those who stayed. I think here, the era of banking is passing and they try at least somehow to attract clients. I have never take a credit and have only a debet card in my bank. That's the only partnership that I have with the bank. But with spreading of bitcoin and appearance of bitcoin debet cards I think I will leave this relationships with the bank at all.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why wouldnt a government create its own asic to 51% bitcoin? on: August 14, 2017, 08:26:31 AM
I think that it would devalue the currency of the country. People could see it as "This is better than our fiat". From the countries stand point, I think it would do more harm then good.
That's right. The price of the national currency would fall down towards other currencies and became cheaper and cheaper. Add to that nobody can even predict that this insider would be popular among citizens. And only the demand is that instrument that make the price of the new crypto-currency. What if people would prefer to stay with expansive Bitcoin rather to move on cheap national crypto? Too many if.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: August 14, 2017, 08:19:53 AM
It's not a surprize that everybody are trying to earn money on the wave of bitcoin's pipularity and it's high price. But there are many places where transaction fees are not so grabbing, you just need to search for it. I think bitcoin made rich many people already and it's just only the beginning.
319  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-11] The Bitcoin Cash Hard Fork Will Show Us Which Coin Is Best on: August 13, 2017, 08:46:52 PM
The BCC will survive but by no mean it can compete with bitcoin. BCC is just an altcoin like any other.
Bitcoin Cash has appeared like a babble which is popped already. I suppose BCC has no chance to pump on the same level as at the day of it's appearance. It's future to become lost among other altcoins. I regret now I didn't sell it when the price was high, but unfortunately that time I didn't knew that there are exchangers that allow BCC deposit on that first-second of August.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction FEES 0.00133153 BTC !!! on: August 13, 2017, 08:20:26 PM
It is not so much yet. On YoBit which I use for exchanging the fee is 0.0015 BTC and it is too much. So I try to not use the function of withdrawing bitcoins to my wallet.
if you are searching for a low fee wallet I can recommend you that one that I use - Hashnest, the fee is only 0.0002 BTC.
I really thought the hard fork will bring to us low fees, but that doesn't happen, at least we have now 4000$ price for bitcoin and that is even better.
