1081  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: December 25, 2016, 03:37:56 PM
I know there are a large number of them.  I am one of the sad souls who did not take it seriously and lost my whole wallet after I invested $1,800 into 100 of them a long time a go.  It happens and good luck to whom ever finds them.

Bad luck for you, same happens with many users losing their bitcoin wallets. I don't think someone other than the original authority could get the wallet for his goodness. Because every address is unique. Also I believe the lost coins won't affect the bitcoin economy, as they're already calculated on mining.

   Its not a bad luck its a disaster. 100 BTC is around 80 000 euros, that is a fortune, and its now bitcoin can cost more and this bitcoins will worth more then now. I dont understand all this with lost coins, how can someone calculate them, after which time coins are lost, and where are people who save coins. This is difficult for me to understand.
   After reading this thread, I see there is a lot of people who lost their bitcoins. Probably we will never know exact number of lost coins, one thing bothers me, can someone take advantage of this lost coins and in which way if its possible.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much bitcoin price now is affecting your bets? on: December 25, 2016, 02:43:02 AM
   I place minimal bets on sport games. Now that minimal bets in bitcoins worth a bit more in euros then before.
   That is positive effect I believe for all of us who gamble with bitcoins.
1083  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make 17 BTC out of 7 BTC ? on: December 24, 2016, 11:56:47 PM
No legit investment will generate you such profit in short period of time.

The only way is gambling, or day-trading on BTC/fiat + altcoins (but that's essentially gambling too).

Just set some more realistic goal.

I knew one person who could do this until today; @Bobmarley650

Look at 100 MBTc in 1 year what happened:

http://www.bobfunds.com/fund01.php 100 mbtc -> 123 mbtc
http://www.bobfunds.com/fund02.php 123 mbtc -> 193 mbtc
http://www.bobfunds.com/fund03.php 193 mbtc -> 216 mbtc
http://www.bobfunds.com/fund04.php 216 mbtc -> 254 mbtc
http://www.bobfunds.com/fund05.php 254 mbtc -> 266 mbtc
http://www.bobfunds.com/fund06.php 266 mbtc -> 308 mbtc
http://www.bobfunds.com/fund07.php 308 mbtc -> 385 mbtc
http://www.bobfunds.com/fund08.php 385 mbtc -> 469 mbtc

8 loan. 1 year: %360

   Site and bitcointalk thread are on language I dont understand. This looks like very good business, I would like to invest 100 mbtc and to make 360 mbtc for one year.
    Bad luck is that I dont understand nothing, are you earning from this site also? I would like to join if its possible.
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: December 24, 2016, 10:40:49 PM
   Really? When price is jumping from 800 to 900 dollars in few days I can say that bitcoin is really strong, if its weak this jump wouldnt be possible.
   Bitcoins is very strong currency now, looks like every year something new happen that push bitcoin forward. Bitcoin will be stronger with every next year apparently.
1085  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: December 24, 2016, 08:05:01 PM
I will be pleasantly surprised if $900+ is sustainable throughout 1/2017. I always like steady and slow growth even though it is nowhere as exciting.

   This is opposite from dead coin! This kind of stories about bitcoin death have no sense, with recent increase bitcoin can just fortify position.
   Steady growth and plus sustainable high price can contribute to mass adoption, and with that demand will be increased. If this things happen we can expect even better year then this one.
1086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dark marketplaces? on: December 24, 2016, 06:54:08 PM
There are some but dark marketplaces are mostly not even very nice to sit on because its risky and dangerous too, plus there are a lot of scammers.

   I will not try to convince you in otherwise, there are scammers on illegal side of every business. Dark marketplaces are normal thing, for everything that is illegal we can say it belongs to dark marketplace. Every neighborhood have that, you buy things for which you dont pay taxes.
   For rich people and for people who live in wealthy countries this strange, for me that is normal thing since I was a kid. Its all about finding a way to screw up the government.
1087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantages of bitcoin on: December 24, 2016, 08:37:38 AM
First of all we do not need have bank account. Not all people are owning bank account, aren't they? Especialy student and people of remote village. Bitcoin transfer is better than bank, so there is no different bank transfer money that not practicaly, really costly and need a long time to complete it. Also no maximum or minimum transfer amount. I think still the most important thing of bitcoin is the lower fee than bank.
First of all, we do need to have a bank account. Maybe right now, you don't need one because you can always sell your coins to someone personally and get the cash handed to you, but eventually you're going to be tired of doing that and choose to get a bank account. Exchange websites require you to have a bank account to get your bitcoins converted into fiat. Actually, even if you don't open a bank account for bitcoins right now, once you get a day job, you'll be forced to open one. That's just how the world works, we're basically forced to open a bank account to avail services and to get paid for our job.

   I need to have bank account cause my company send my paycheck there, they will not give me any money if I dont have account in specific bank. Like choppork said I'm forced to have bank account, and one day when I sell bitcoins I have I'll use that account. Not just me, all people are forced, they are earning on us and that is how they control us. With bitcoins is different, its matter of free choice.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the location affect when we gamble? on: December 23, 2016, 11:10:37 PM
   There is studies on how our brain is working and tricks how to make us spend more money in stores, casinos, and other places. They are working a lot on that, and silent and pleasant music is one their tricks, together with nice smell.
   This trick can be found on internet, its funny how public that is and it still have effect on all of us.
1089  Economy / Speculation / Re: That's time that's sure : we are in a pump on: December 23, 2016, 08:56:16 PM
I dont see it go much higher in the near future....
My 2 cents of course 8-))))
I am gonna disagree with you. There are various market indicators (RSI, MACD) which states clearly that this is not the end of bullish trend.
We spent too long under $800, so now when that resistance is broken the price may surge higher than $50-$70.
I am just gonna quote myself here, as scenario I predicted earlier is becoming a reality now. I analyzed today's charts - pump it is not over.
We are totally entered ultra bullish trend,  at this point I am sure that reaching $1000 is not impossible in 2016. It is still not too late to buy.
not too late to buy bitcoin. because buying bitcoin could be anytime. the current price movements bitcoin is  very nice. opportunities bitcoin prices to rise still higher.
It is not the right moment to entry, as the technical indicators are overheated. It is much wiser to wait for a dip and then buy, if you ask me.

   I`m holding my coins safe! I`m aware of that trading strategy sell now when its high buy later when its low, and in that trade I can make more coins for myself. Just I`m not sure it will stop increasing, and I`m afraid that I will not chose right time for this trading, then i will stay without part of my stash.
   Maku is very confident in his prognosis about future of bitcoin price, and I think most of the people here share his opinion.
1090  Economy / Services / Re: Get your itcoin signatures on: December 23, 2016, 07:00:59 PM
I am willing to create bitcointalk signatures for all level of members with websites or applications. This will rush your bitcon profits

Your title has a mistake. Should I expect your work that you do for me to also have mistakes? Or should I expect your work to be as amazing as your signature right now? How long did it take to do that up?

   Well done! Very nice observation, this looks very unprofessional. I have seen and read ( even I dont plan to do that kind of work, I was just interested in how people earn here ) about this work, and couple members here are already doing great job, and they have positive trust rating.
   Competition is always good for business, if this guy wish to have any work he will need to take this much seriously then he started with this thread.
   Monty better look around the forum, see how people doing something, inform yourself, try to give best from you and you will have chances to get some job here.
1091  Economy / Speculation / Re: touch down to 800$ is near on: December 23, 2016, 07:49:07 AM
I know all of us is waiting for bitcoin to get pass that super hard wall to break 800$ mark. The long wait is over bitcoin will gonna break that wall anytime this week. And before christmas it should be 850$. Believe me.

   I cant say that I believed you, but looks like you was right all along. Price is very close to 900 and from now I will try to pay attention on your predictions.
   Many people here like to predict future price of bitcoin, just few people are good in that.
   Price is already high, next goal is to keep it high, can bitcoin hold this for a while?
1092  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: December 23, 2016, 06:06:53 AM
   I would keep them, and how price is rising this days that would be great idea. Why to risk coins if there is chance to be a millionaire in future and you dont need to do nothing, just sit and wait.
   Bitcoin is now 900 $, its just amazing what a jump in just one day, in this kind of moments I wish I have just couple whole bitcoins and to just sit, relax and watch them growing.
1093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: December 22, 2016, 12:47:45 PM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

   I didn't saw that drug market here, can you be more specific and show it too me, I would like to see that and check out the prices.
   Bitcoin is not made for that, currency is when you use it to pay for everything, not just good things.
   Society is already unhealthy, and bitcoin has nothing with that. Fiat didn't help all this years.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the main problems bitcoiners face? on: December 22, 2016, 11:52:02 AM
   I think bitcoin main problem is or will be banks, and who ever stand behind them. Adoption is not a problem as many people here says it is, that will happen eventually when people find out about bitcoin, I know many people that never heard about it.
   Scam websites are problem, they will push away many people, but there is scams with other currencies as well, so open minded person knows how to be protected in this time, stupid people will be scammed in any currency.
   Hackers are the problem, it will be difficult to solve that problem and create laws against that. There is always some 'paradise' where they working from, and nobody can do nothing about them.
1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: We all gonna be filthy rich and here is why: on: December 22, 2016, 10:06:42 AM
I'm not going to be filthy rich because I started with very little capital, but despite several major fuck-ups I have more bitcoin than I ever bought and the price is higher than all prices I paid. I'm so grateful that there are so many stupid people out there who must have lost their fortunes to crypto traders over the past 3 years I've been here. I'm ready to chew up and spit out a new wave of clueless noobies, cheers.

If you save 1 bitcoin a year, you will be very rich.

   I still dont have 1 BTC, I'm less then a year here, and I have 5 more months to get to that one year. In this point I have around 0.2 BTC, but now I'm earning more then on start so maybe there is chance for me to make 1 BTC per year.
   If there is just a half of true in this topic and your wishes than I'm happy cause I'm here and making bitcoins, little by little, this kind of topics are making me feel more confident.
1096  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: December 22, 2016, 09:12:38 AM
I would invest my bitcoins in studying because with enough money i can buy all the books i want to buy and want to build a career of my own and live a very enoughable and healthy life .

   One of the smartest things I have seen in this thread, investing in your knowledge, schools is the best choice that man can make. School can take time and money, poor people need to waive on many things, but that will pay out one day.
   If there isnt any profitable and safe investment in the moment, school is the second best choice. That is better then risking your money on some investment where you can lose all your money, knowledge from school stays for the rest of out lives, and that knowledge can bring a lot of money and food on the table.
1097  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: December 22, 2016, 12:05:31 AM
Since the massive growth that bitcoin has seen over the past couple of years it became very popular among the internet users especially for those who are looking for an extra income, it is indeed used by many people so it is considered a global currency but it is unfortunate that governments do not see so.

You see because of the nature of bitcoin and how decentralized it is it became something they cannot control that is why they refuse to make it as an official global currency.

I also think that it has grown a lot and that it has a great future but we can simply not become a global currency that is just not possible without any doubts.

It is already grown a lot and it keeps on growing each day that is passing by. It can be a global currency even there is no law with it as long as all of us are agreeing that we need to keep on using bitcoin then for sure we are going to have a lot transactions with bitcoin. Then that is going to make it as a global currency.

   Bitcoin is global currency and I think its the only way in which bitcoin can survive, to be international. If we tie bitcoin for any country that can be the end of this freedom we have now. Do you think that bitcoin can work just in one country? What will happen with bitcoins in that case? As I see here there is people from every country in the world, that is international.
   Yes for many of us bitcoin means extra income, but through that we learn about alternatives, world economy, some people find bitcoin very helpful in sending and saving money.
1098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: December 21, 2016, 06:46:45 PM
   Answer on this question depends from country we talk about, countries have different laws. People who create laws sits there, and they are not always smart. Corrupted governments create laws against bitcoin and thats why bitcoin is not supported in every country.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: December 21, 2016, 01:11:39 PM
   Its easier to learn to gamble then to trade. That is the main difference here, trading is not for everyone, special skills needed for that. There is some gamble games where we need to use our brain's, but most games are lucky games. With trading as I saw people relay on information's.
   I learn about trading for some time, and its not simple at all. Its much easier to bet on what ever then to choose right coin and moment for trading.
1100  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: December 21, 2016, 11:10:37 AM
They actually did wahh i thought bank can't even do this kind of activity that will closed bank account without further notice or warning the owner you can file complainant to the bank directly to the bank owner or ask some help to those who had idead why they closed your bank asking questions may help you get resolution for this. Bank is the safest place where we can deposit money anytime and withdrew money.

   There is more then one bank in this world, and just for the record there many different banks, with different rules. Sometimes same bank have different rules in each country. Some banks are safe you are right, but in my country some banks made a big scams in this transition period.
   Dont think that banks are the safest place for your money, check the background, check their history before you give money to anyone. Dont trust blindly in any institution.
