301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 03, 2024, 01:17:09 PM

LeBron breaking records is really fun because we are witnessing history in a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and we should cherish that. Not being a kj here, but the problem with LeBron breaking records is that the Lakers are winning those games. When he breaks Kareem's record against OKC, they lose. Then today, against Denver, they lost again. I am not saying that LeBron is the problem here; I think it is the Lakers' inconsistency. Maybe we can say that some of the Lakers players don't want to exert that much effort in these games because LeBron's record should be the priority, but it should not; they must eye for the bigger prize, which is the trophy.

Also, when was the last time the Lakers won against the Denver? The Lakers are 0-7 against the Denver since the sweep in the Western Conference Finals up to this season. They are getting outcoached once again in the 4th, which is also one of their problems in the WCF.

NBA is getting softer and less defensive as meta of every team unlike before which defense is priority and crucial to win the game. Right now, NBA is more shooting perimeter shots to win the games and leaving defense open and just recover to it through scoring. With this kind of playing style, I think someone in the new era can break records easily.

The only unique for LBJ is his great physique which is very impressive considering his age. Some basketball players with great talent will have multiple injury that affects tha5 game but Lebron is very good on protecting his body to maintain this kind of performance until now.
302  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: March 03, 2024, 12:07:21 PM

The good thing is that the pie they are sharing is a huge pie. The crypto gambling industry is already in the billions, and with the ongoing popularity of crypto, the numbers will just continue to grow. Each platform has its own way of introducing itself to the public, and the more they are eager to advertise, the more the industry will improve as a whole. This casino is quite new but is already gaining popularity here, and probably outside the forum too.

I’m surprised that they managed to land their promotion here in Bitcointalk while they already have strong marketing on social media. This only show that our forum is being valued even by casino that has strong marketing already outside here.

Truly as a result of the publicity and awareness, Metawin casino became much more popular that each gambler wants to get registered. I understand that social media is okay for advertising but I think this platform has a good advertising strength when it gets to do with online casino that involves Crypto currency. Every one individual or gambler here are conversant and farmiliar with crypto currency and coupled with the fact that the population here is in millions so that is an added advantage to take charge of.
Metawin coming here is never a mistake and I strongly believe the promotion is creating more awareness and publicity for the casino.

Aside from this, Bitcointalk forum is very good to increase Search Engine Optimization ranking of the casino which social media can’t do. I believe this is the main purpose of Metawin that’s why they expanded their promotion in the which is the home of top tier casino existing on crypto space.

I hope that they will start soon another exclusive promotion in games and round section of the forum because I didn’t win the last time I participate. This is one of the casino that is very generous for their promotion rewards so I’m very happy to be part of this history in the making.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 03, 2024, 11:58:45 AM
None of the options are correct for me. Why would you divorce them when you were in on it the whole time? And on the other hand,  why do you even need to forgive them when they lose? They are human, in fact when your partner loses what you should do is to go and console them. Make them understand that they may get it next time. And you should have told them from the onset to quit gambling or maybe play safe so they don’t lose everything instead of feeling offended when they finally do.

Probably the topic assumes that the gambler lose everything as in including the funds which they are both save. This is the common reason why married couple destroyed when the problem is due to gambling addiction.

Some people can’t stand already their partner once he already affected the family finances in general. No one will gonna have a problem if the gambler still earn or doesn’t loss since it’s still part of entertainment but I believe even can’t stand a husband/wife that spend too much in gambling to the point that your family savings is already at loss.
304  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏈Learn How To Arbitrage and make thousands a month🏈 on: March 02, 2024, 04:09:31 PM

If you're betting for fun the ML and other standard bets would be more fun as you get the sweat. However if you're looking to make steady profits and use this as a side gig then its certainly worth looking into.

Can you list in the OP what casino you are using to do the arbitrage bet without encountering problem in the casino? Most of crypto casino is vigilant on detecting all users that using this kind of strategy that’s why it’s the only risk to this method for a small profit margin on a normal size bankroll.

I’m interested to know what kind of casino you are using and if it’s possible for me to create an account this casino to this arbitrage bet without encountering any problem.I read a lot of this topic on reddit but all resulted of being limited and restricted after a couple of successful arbitrage even they are using fiat casino.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 02, 2024, 02:32:19 PM
Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?

I think no one in their right mind that will be happy after their partner lose everything. This is why funds that use in gambling should be money that they can afford to lose to avoid arguments with partner. This is bad if you will use money from your savings that both of you contribute.

I think Divorce or separation is the high chance outcome if the money loss in gambling is their life savings funds. But I only bust my bankroll that is intended only for gambling then I don’t see the point on getting mad on it. Besides, I will not let my partner knew my gambling funds to avoid conflict and maintain my share on our finances.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com - unethical practices on limitting losing players on: March 02, 2024, 02:12:15 PM
Alternatively try having accounts with 9-10 sportsbooks and then this way if one limits you, then you'd be able to place the bet with another.

However, if you truly want to win - getting limited is actually good for you, you mentioned you lost a lot, so maybe it's not worth it for you?  Huh

This will not work because the bookmaker itself is the one that limiting the players so there’s a high chance that you will limited too on different casino because most of them use same bookmaker in their sportsbook.

But there’s some cases that casino itself is the one that limit players but the rest is bookmaker action. This topic was discussed many times in the past. In the end, Once you got limited or restricted on one casino, You will suffer later on to different casino once you already show the sign of winning frequently because bookmaker track your progress.

Much better to combine local sportbook or the betting agent that you suggest with crypto casino.
307  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: March 02, 2024, 01:16:23 PM
I have been informed that Justcasino wants to shut down the business.

@Little_mouse, I notice this post on the signature campaign thread. I post this here to be on topic. Is there any estimated date for this shutdown to happened? I still have funds in the casino because of the current competition. I might forget to withdraw my funds in there since I sometimes become offline due to work.

I hope Justcasino can recover or they will just rebrand? Anyway sad to here this news especially for those regular players.

Metawin is very popular also on social media since they have a daily contest that rewards user with at least 10K rewards for their sweepstakes games while 2.5% of the amount spend is refunded on the metawin account and can play immediately. They also have NFT and many more that is trending online via social media that’s why this casino is insanely popular especially on X which most of crypto holders usually hangout for discussion.

I’m surprised that they managed to land their promotion here in Bitcointalk while they already have strong marketing on social media. This only show that our forum is being valued even by casino that has strong marketing already outside here.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 02:44:48 PM
This is the problem of addiction, if not why will a gambler pile up debt without paying it, and allow his children to inherit it. Gambling should not be done with loans, so that it will not be a problem to pay back, because it is always hard for someone that is addicted to pay back his debt.

The family of an addicted gambler always get affected by the his lifestyle in one way or the other, and this is why we need to have self control over our gambling activities, and also gamble responsible, so that the properties that we left for our children, will not be used to replace our debts. It is normal in my country, that the family of the deceased will pay off the debts of their father.

Any form of debt is the same when the borrower already passed away. Gambling debt, business debt, personal debt and other debt will all inherit by the immediate finally once the borrower died so I don’t see any difference of gambling debt to other type of debt.

Gambling debt is just different if the person who keeps borrowing is still alive since this kind of debt is just a waste of money especially if the borrowed money is loss. A family of a businessman that bankrupt and has a pile of debt will have the same experience to a family of gambler that has debt because they are just both ended up by debt that they will pay by themselves.

Don’t ask for loan in general if you don’t have any collateral.
310  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I was a victim of Coins.Game. My money worth 32,800 dollars was confiscated and on: March 01, 2024, 01:51:32 PM

 2. I can defend this situation as follows: I have a girlfriend who lives in the same house and is a member. She only registered on the site and did not deposit any money, nor did she withdraw any money. There was never a moment when she made a withdrawal request. + A friend of mine came home and while he normally plays on different casino sites, I told him to become a member by telling him that I withdraw money from this site and it is fast, and also coins.game is running a campaign on its own page such as bringing a member and earning extra income. This friend of mine did not deposit or withdraw any money. Also, when a guest comes to my house, if they connect to wifi or log in from my computer, my opinion is, don't enter. Could it be that this site won't give it to me if I win? Now think about it, this forum is great, we are friends with you, we both gamble, we come home, we take the whiskey out of the fridge, I'm going to gamble, you log in from my laptop, you don't play, a month passes, I withdraw money, I lose money, then I make a big profit and they don't give me money.

Do you think the casino has a way to verify if your statement is honest? Casino has a valid evidence of multiple account that violate their ToS which means it’s easy for them to just seize your account balance rather than investigate furthermore.

Think of it this way, Casino doesn’t know their players personally that’s why they are asking for KYC verification just to know you. So if they are relying on digital evidence available to track all their users whether they are following the rules or not. If they allow your reasoning means abuser of casino bonuses using multiple account will use same excuse to win the case.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 01:41:38 PM
This is a story where a mom thought she won 5000$ in a lottery (which was already a big amount) but later discovered that she won 50,000$. That is indeed one of the best things in her life and it just changed her life.

I frequently experience this kind of mistake when playing scratch cards specifically go banana and hot 777 by pcso on my local lottery outlet but the opposite always happens to me many times. I have a very good eye vision yet my excitement makes my visibility blinded thinking that I won huge amount but in reality less than 1 zero of the amount.

I’m assuming that the mom is just your typical mom that play scratch cards just for fun that’s why he doesn’t check carefully the amount as long it wins. I still have some of my winning scratch cards in my stash that I didn’t want to collect because I don’t need the money since I’m just playing for fun.
312  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 01, 2024, 11:19:11 AM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?

Yeah right if you are a responsible parents but there’s still some people that leave the responsibility of their child to wife while the husband can do whatever he want as long as he can provide money for his family. This question will vary based on the family arrangement and financial capability of a person because someone rich can still gamble like normal even if he has a child to support since his salary is sufficient to cover everything.

It’s up to the person priorities but normally people on a normal family will slow down on gambling and focus on his family since expenses grow along with the children growth so it’s only normal to stop gambling expenses and focus to family.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: February 29, 2024, 01:41:47 PM
Gambling every day is a bad habit and no one can avoid gambling addiction by doing it. Because if the thing that we do every day is left out for some time, then it creates a kind of emptiness in us. so if he plays regular gambling he will always feel the emptiness of gambling. And I don't think it will be easy to find people who can afford to manage every day gamble budget Without ruining the financial situation. so everyone always should avoid daily gambling habit

It still depends on what kind of game you are playing. You can’t simply call consistency as an addiction if there’s no excessive spend of bankroll on their bets. There’s a lot of gambler here that placing bets on sportsbook everyday and still live a normal life because the game they are playing is time dependent which they have time to relax while waiting for their bet to settled.

But in most cases especially those slot players usually have a high tendency of being addicted since this game is a fast game while you can play anytime you want without interruption. I believe this is the only type of games which gamblers might be addicted if play regularly in daily basis.
314  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: February 29, 2024, 01:28:24 PM
It becomes a problem to find casino without KYC. The main part of them looks suspicious. Some others tell us that they have no KYC, but if we read ToS we can find that it means "no KYC until withdraw".
As for me the main problem not a KYC - the main problem is that casino KYC you during withdraw. You can KYC, but you can`t get your money for some time. The best way is to initialize KYC yourself if it possible.

There’s a lot of casino that doesn’t have KYC but most of them are those Decentralized casino that offers on-chain games only. You probably pertaining to Centralized casino since all of them has the tendency to ask you a KYC due to AML policy.

KYC is not a big deal for most crypto gamblers since most of us undergo on it with our exchange account that already strictly implement the mandatory KYC. I think we have no choice now to play on a CEX with complete non KYC rule since a small suspicion of money laundering or other illegal activities will surely trigger the KYC verification of our casino account therefore you shouldn’t play on CEX if you don’t like KYC even if they stated a no KYC term.
315  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: February 29, 2024, 01:01:51 PM

316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling still pays regardless of our losses on: February 29, 2024, 12:34:19 PM
So I brought this topic to let us know that in gambling, if you just play it as though you don't take it seriously whether you win or lose then you might surprisingly win an amount that will amaze you one day and it would look as if you're smart or you know how to predict the outcome of events and in most cases, when a gambler wins they doesn't really care much about their previous losses regardless of the amount they won.

The title doesn’t in line with the content of your post. Gambling will surely pay if you win your bet since it’s independent to your previous bet therefore all your losses doesn’t affect the winning percentage of your current bet

Quote
So I just felt like making some predictions in sports betting today and the events was about 8 matches, and it all played according to how I predicted them to go and I won the bet though I spent less than $1 just #1000 in my local currency to place the bet and i won close to $23 which is about #32000 in my local currency as well. Congratulations to me as i didn't expect this winning.

This is a nice parlay bet most importantly if you just pick this matches on random basis just because you feel lucky on the day you place this bet. I still never hit this kind of high odds on my parlay but surely the chance of hitting this kind of parlay will increase if you keep betting like this.
317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something is seriously wrong with bitcoin markets. No liquidity? Should we sell? on: February 29, 2024, 12:27:29 PM
However, is something wrong with the bitcoin markets. I figured this would happen because those ETF's need to use exchanges to purchase coins and how is coinbase going to have the liquidity to deal with the current ETF demand.

What do you think, is there a liquidity crunch and it makes sense to sell now because sellers will come in soon to take advantage of these high prices? Or does it make sense to just hold at this point?

OTC, they are purchasing huge chunk of Bitcoin over the counter either from exchange or the miner so that they purchased will not gonna cause a huge price impact in the market.

Besides the market is already continuously pumping hard with volume but not equal to the ETF volume. Probably some ETF provider is buying on exchange while some of them is on OTC. Although you point out a valid concern but I’m sure this sell pressure will absorb by those will want to enter late wants sell off begin.
318  Local / Pilipinas / Bitcoin new ATH malapit na! on: February 28, 2024, 10:32:33 AM

Siguro next year na ako mageexpect ng higher than 100K if ever maging support na itong previous ATH natin.

Keep holding hanggang wala pang ATH, wag nyo muma galawin or maakit na isell ang mga Bitcoin nyo para hindi mamiss ang opportunities na ito!
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 10:22:39 AM
If you know anybody trying to stop the addiction of gambling to become better for themselves and their family, try and show them support by not criticizing them. If you observe that they experience some kind of relapse and go back to gamble even when they said they were not going to gamble, try to encourage them to remember why they wanted to stop gambling for the time. It is not an easy decision for some of them to make, and even imagining that they will never gamble again can make it worse for them, most of them need all the support they can get to help them maintain the decision to give gambling some time away. If you criticize and mock them, they may nurse in the heart the mindset that gambling is impossible to stop, or even stop trying to stop gambling because you have already made them feel like they can never do it.

The problem nowadays for modern era gamblers was they can hide their gambling activities easily due to the existence of online casino. They can play whenever they want with privacy on their room without other people noticing it so it’s really very hard to find who’s addicted to gambling unless they are showing intentionally to other people.

But I agree that comforting them is the best approach rather than criticize since addicted gambler will just make it a secret to you once they knew that people don’t like it. Providing company and engage with socialization is the best way to forget gambling addiction because most addict gambler is just gambling because they don’t have other things to do.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: February 28, 2024, 07:51:28 AM
Do you see losing your payment back to the casino as your own form of indirect support for the project?

You are working hard to promote the brand just to get paid with that money. I think that’s already enough to be considered as supporting the project instead of losing what you earn. You should not think like this or else you are just waiting your time and sats weekly.

Quote
Do you think that I already have a bad gambling mindset thinking that by engaging in one or two bets or games I am supporting the project I promote? [/b]

It depends, does the money that you earn here is you can afford to lose? Because this is only acceptable thinking if you have other source of income which is sufficient for your daily necessities. But I will not accept this for myself because that money is the product of my time invested here in the forum.
