Gold's scarcity is why it is valuable. Otherwise it is just a shinny rock. Don't over think it, the value of gold is based on nothing but perception.
If this is the case then why is it chosen to be used in industry (429 tonnes annually) ? The answer - it has unique properties that other metal do not have. Bitcoin is just code that can be copied and even improved. Gold is an element and will always remain the same. I have approx £450k in precious metals and sleep well at night. If I had that amount of money in crypto I would crapping myself encase I get hacked, a wallet service got hacked, a weakness in the code is discovered, an exchange gets hacked at the time of cash out, the price drops 90% overnight, new regulation is introduced crippling cryptos. The only reason bitcoin is valuable is the perception by probably 95% of people that it will moon and make them rich. They dont give a shit about the tech and only view it in dollar equivalents. When bitcoin price eventually stabilizes most people will lose interest in it when the realization hits that they are not going to become overnight millionaires.

Wasn't this shown to be just an huobi exchange address.
The truth isnt quite as exciting though as a new mega whale coming into the scene

point ebay to the S9 specs at Bitmain, if the unit is operating as designed then its the buyers fault for not doing his homework before purchasing.
If the unit is not faulty and he just wishes to return it, allow him but he must cover shipping fees and deduct "loss of earnings" for the mining period from the money you refund.

I think Bitcoin is less decentralised than mainstream currencies.
A small number of people hold a large % of coins. A small number of pools control the hashing power. A small number of manufacturers control ASIC manufacture. A small number of exchanges control price (through bots and price fixing in my opinion)

True. Although I did say if 7.7k was broken, then we'd be in huge trouble.
Well it was broken.. but then jumped right back up. So I think things are fine for now.
Jumped straight back up? $6887 at the moment I expect to see $5k

Just hit $6950 then bounced just over the $7k mark again.

Most large mainstream "Charities" are nothing but businesses in disguise.
The people at the top cream off most donations as large wage packets and a tiny % ends up where it should.
If you wish to donate keep it to small charities that help people in your area.

The whole IOTA reclaim/KYC issue is not doing the project any favors. People have been waiting months to get there money back and the team seem to be in no hurry to resolve the situation.
The Dev team is arrogant, a few weeks back a senior team member threatened to leave the Discord channel and no longer post any updates unless the IOTA minions attacked someone on twitter that posted an inaccurate article. Not professional at all.

The traditional move would be to hedge against stock volatility with gold. This has proven an effective method in the past, but a new alternative is challenging the old-school safe-haven. Bitcoin is a flashy new asset with all the properties of a currency, but with some unique features that make it a viable haven.
Unique features like crashing around 60% in a few days lol, not sure how that makes it a viable haven for your wealth. Bitcoin is penny stocks on steroids, a gamble. Get rich or go bust if you go all in.

All the HODL idiots should be forced to post a signed wallet message showing exactly how much of their own skin they have in the game. I am sure for most it will be insignificant pocket money levels.
Someone sounds butt-hurt (Trust me on this one; I know things about butt-hurt you people wouldn't believe) Well I have a lambo and £420K worth of gold paid for by bitcoin. Butthurt lol, keep hodl'ing
