301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would a vendor and a dealer connect with each other for BTC means of payment on: March 09, 2024, 08:24:18 PM
We have always have this tag "Stay anonymous with your Bitcoin holdings and don't get exposed that you are a Bitcoin holder or a Bitcoin investor" for security reasons.

So now, what is the state of security measures towards vendors who makes it obvious and publicly that they accepts Bitcoin transaction as alternative means of payments?

Or how would a vendor get connected with a dealer who wants to make payments to the vendor using Bitcoin if they both have to stay anonymous from their holdings?
Accepting Bitcoin transactions for a seller doesn't imply he's holding Bitcoin and doesn't reveal anything about the amount of Bitcoins he is in possession. Sellers who doesn't like volatility or who doesn't want to keep accounts in Bitcoin, will exchange bitcoin payments into fiat money as soon as they can and won't leave one single satoshis in their own accounts. So if you think sellers accepting Bitcoin are all Bitcoin holders you're wrong.

With such a bad reputation it's sad to see they are still listed on Google, with no warnings and they even have an Android app hosted on Google Play. Google should ban them, along with all social medias platforms, they would certainly be forced to close their doors soon after a move like that. Regulators do not lack imagination in inventing measures against cryptocurrencies users but don't bother to do anything against blatant crypto scammers.

Well, if BTC continues its rally at this pace, we will soon reach a point where the base rewards from Wheel of Fortune will drop to one sat. In this case, it will be unrealistic to collect enough RP to make an exchange for sats, as well as to collect enough sats from the faucet for a minimum withdrawal from the site.

Currently, you can see it is 3 sat and I won't be surprised that it will soon be down to 1 sat, if the bitcoin breaks it all time high and moves even further.

I just got a promotional email where freebitcoin invites all users to promote their referral links where freebitcoin gives a 200% bonus for every referral that is active for 48 hours, whereas it is difficult for me to promote it while the income from this site is getting less and less so that some of my users or referrals are no longer very active in using the site In this case, there should be a few changes to keep people interested in continuing to use this site.

In order to get true benefits from the referrals, you need to have a social presence and many people need to follow you. If you have a good audience, only then people can register under your link and you may take advantage of such offers. If you are not a renowned person in your community, it is no use to participate in referral offers. No one joins the link under a solo person with no influence on the community.
May I ask what will happen precisely if the base reward fall below 1 sat? Freebitcoin will stop the faucet or they will only allow users to claim faucet rewards every 2hours (or more)? Another solution would be to let people claiming decimal of satoshis even if they can't withdraw them at the end, but it would force the platform to update all user's account balances, and AFAIK there are several dozens of millions of them.

"Hello,

Please be aware the information you have been given in this email thread is very clear.

We will no longer be engaging in the back and forth emails until there is an update to the investigation which has been outlined on numerous occasions to you.

Regards,"

THIS IS BEYOND SHADY!!!!!!

EMAIL IMAGES IN LINK ABOVE.
HOPEFULLY A BIGGER MEMBER CAN POST ACTUAL PICS IN HERE
Don't hesitate to copy and paste the text of their emails or messages next to the links of your screenshots, as it's easier to find it back and to quote it. In addition picture links will likely be broken in several months/few years later.

Their email thread is very clear indeed, they've obviously told BS to you and they don't even bother to apologize for that. While, again, we are not talking about $40 or even $400 here. I have no words. It's worrying.

Thank you for your answers and support.
I contacted them from my personal email, from which I created the hit btc account, and they answered me the following:

Dear Trader,

Thank you for your reply.

I am sorry to tell you that additional time is needed to research your case. I have escalated your request to our team, and we are already looking into this for you.

We will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!

I opened this topic so that there are no others in my situation.
I wanted to raise an alarm signal regarding these THEFT practices, without giving you the opportunity to withdraw your coins, without being notified in any way of the change in the regulation...
As it has been said above, the situation is unfortunately quite famous here. Since there are doing exactly the same thing with larger coins like Dogecoins whom they allow deposits without displaying any warnings and block withdrawals.
Some people are comparing it with Yobit but Hitbtc is worse since Yobit doesn't allow deposits when a wallet is in maintenance and doesn't take inactivity fees.

How do you make money to pay us interest?
When you hold money in your FreeBitco.in account, we split it into 2 parts - the first part is used to cover user withdrawals and the second part is used to bankroll our MULTIPLY BTC game. We make a profit and assume the full risks of our business and in return for you saving your money with us, we give you a risk-free fixed rate of return.

315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 03, 2024, 07:51:47 PM
It depends of the law and the regulations of the country where it's happening but usually debts can be inherited and the children can only reject the whole legacy if they don't want to have to pay them. That could be seen as unfair for many people but I think it's a protection for lenders and a better guarantee for borrowers who have children. Lenders are rarely responsible of the death of their debtors so it would be also unfair for them to lose their money because of that actually.

If the game is really random and uses a RNG with a strong entropy, so-called patterns found by users are very likely to just being repetitions due to chance. Because even when the randomness is high outcomes with some repetitions are not less likely to be drawn than other outcomes without any repetitions. They are just part of the game and we shouldn't being confused by that, especially for live games where no digital mechanism is involved. Some bugs can happen in digital games when they've not been enough tested or rightly certified but customers should be aware it's usually against the ToS of casinos and considered as cheating to exploit such loopholes. So they are facing the lock of their account and the seizure of their funds if they really find something profitable.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: March 03, 2024, 06:57:26 PM
It's almost a pity Bashar Murad who was tipped to represent Iceland this year lost to this.
From what I understand his lyrics had nothing to do with politics, but the sheer fact that he's Palestinian was surely something in response to Israel still participating in the contest.
It's been such a long time since we saw some good action in Eurovision.
Yes I agree with you, it would definitely have been a better move to address this controversy with a palestinian singer than to boycott the event or to threat to do it. But if she won it's for some reasons. Many people of the Eurovision's audience are women of her generation or older actually, and many younger ones could have her shape. The lyrics of the song are universal and romantic but they are very feminine too. Her voice and the dancing music are nice. So I think she's very likely to get many votes if she participates.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: March 03, 2024, 06:35:33 PM
Finally, Lily Gladstone won the best actress award of the Actors Guild against Emma Stone, Margot Robbie, Annette Bening and Carey Mulligan.
SAG is US organisation, so no surprise that Lily won the award.  Grin
Yes for sure, but what is the nationality of bookmakers' odds providers? Are they americans too? Because for some reasons they now think another time that Lily Gladstone has more chances to win the Oscar than Emma Stone and than few days ago while they think the opposite for Emma Stone.

Will didn't show attitude, he just showed that his wife is in a total control over him. He was even initially laughing at the joke and only after he saw her face he decided to act. By the way, that joke was actually a compliment to her as Demi Moore was hot af in GI Jane. He doesn't mind other guys screwing his wife, but he minds some jokes lol.

Lol of course not. I am not a wimp like Will Smith that I am afraid of my wife. Cheesy
Yes his reaction 2 years ago was very confusing. But her wife has been very very sad when she lost her hair from what I heard and maybe she tried to commit suicide or something like that, so this situation could have been very disturbing for him.
319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Latest news in crypto? on: March 03, 2024, 05:58:37 PM
I don't understand what Bitcoin have to do with NFT and why a hype from would affect its price. IMO NFT hven't triggered any Bitcoin bull run. Nowadays the current bull run is mainly driven by the ETF FOMO afaik and the halving narrative. Most bulls and bears are waiting the halving event to take their profits or to place big short orders. Layer2 network and dApps using them is the current blockchain technology era but I don't think Bitcoin price has anything to do with that.
320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto Alive ?! on: March 03, 2024, 05:52:13 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto is very unlikely to still be alive IMO. Intelligence services of some big countries like USA, Russia or China would have already found him if he is not protected by one of them at least. In addition, he would have left some legacy message to Bitcoin users and humanity IMO and send his Bitcoins to some charity fundation or a poor country if he doesn't want to use them. Hal Finney had been very badly ill before dying why he did nothing for him if he's not himself Satoshi?
